Always a great value! This time I went for the Sanrio Collab, it was the first day so I managed to get the towel and the cup! I don’t recommend the hello kitty donut, that one is a disaster. But the pompompurin roll was great! I always try the collab flavors because it’s a lot of fun, even is the taste is not great.
We sat at the bar, I loved how efficient the system was for ordering, either order from the tablet or you can grab from the revolving choices. The robot to bring drinks or special orders usually came pretty fast and we were never waiting more than a few minutes if we did special order something. After 15 plates a toy drops down from the dispenser above the bar, my son loved that.
Went here for my daughter 10th birthday to try new dining experience and she enjoyed it, it was a very pleasant and fun for her. The sushi we had were fresh and right portion/sizes. My kids love the prizes you get after certain amount of plates and the robot which bring out the drinks. Service was good as they tend to us when we needed something. Will definitely go back again. Gets crowded pretty fast so suggest to get reservation.
Pretty new and I recommended it. It is better than driving all the way to Cupertino in a dead quite neighborhood. The foods are great and it is satisfying to visit once in a while. I ate alone and with family and both time it was great. Enjoy it and don't be shy.
I came to this place by myself after a busy shift. I didn’t have to wait long to get a seat. There was a big selection of nigiri and rolls on the conveyor belt, and if I wanted something specific, I could order it on my touchscreen. My favorite dish had to be the scallops with seared Japanese mayo.
Had an early dinner on Friday around 5:30pm. We put our name on the waitlist but got seated in 2 minutes. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food comes out fast … I like to order from the screen rather than from the conveyor belt. It comes out really fast! We even had R2D2’s cousin bring us water. You can also pay from the screen by scanning the QR code… east payout process.
This is a "go to" quick sushi spot for me. It's easy to come on a lunch break and grab a few plates of sushi or a bowl of soup. The service is always friendly but when it gets busy things get a little weird. I took my family there for dinner and had to order water twice before it arrived. And had plates I didn't order arrive at my table. If you can go when it's not busy, or if they can tighten it up a bit when it's busy I would give it 5vstars.
Good value. Pretty good sushi at most reasonable prices. Tried a bunch of nigiri, all good. Fish is very thin sliced so you get less than some other sushi places but generally less expensive at $4 per plate. We went to one in Japan and this is similar although US prices much higher.
Our second time trying this place. It’s a place where both kids and adults can have a great time experiencing sushi with revolving belt that brings food to you. My kids love the robot that brings drinks and other amenities to our table. Everyone got a kick out of it. Ordering on the screen at our table will have the food delivered directly to our table within minutes. The food is ok. Sushi is good but not great. The noodle for the ramen was a bit hard. As if not cooked thoroughly. It came out to be about $52 for two of us eating enough.
Decent quality sushi and mostly fresh. I would say it's quite good for revolving sushi. Servers are nice but the whole shtick for this place is minimize human service. Don't expect servers to come by and ask how you are doing. Great novelty for kids who eat raw fish and adults who want to just grab some food and enjoy themselves
Quick sign-up at the kiosk, got seated in under 10 mins. The booth seating provides some privacy. The entire process, from ordering to tracking orders to checkout, is contactless through the tablet (though you can also call the staff if needed). Sushi was delivered swiftly and sharply through the conveyor belt. Unfortunately, we didn’t received our water service as we saw everyone had theirs. Download the app for 300 points as (future) order credits. If you’re looking for efficiency, a contactless experience, and a great selection of delicious sushi, this is the place!
Nice ginic with decent sushi. The kids loved the experience. Price was fair, we had 42 plates (they are 1-3 but sizes) and paid $200 for 5 ppl
A very fancy restaurant using unique way to serve sushi 🍣. Their sushi is fairly good. For the guy who works in the restaurant, I would give him 4 stars, but the way this restaurant serve dishes by using revolving plates, I would say it's unfair to all the customers. I sit in the middle section of the restaurant, And it was not busy noon, I took a video and it's obvious most plates were empty , think about it, on a busy day, if you sit at the end table of the revolving, could you get anything you really want? If you have a party of 3+, how could you get fair sushi to share? And since this service model, I have to find the server to give me hot tea refill, the hot tea cost $3.90 usually free in orher restaurants. Yes, I could make personal orders, then why I need to do this revolving things? Did I like their sushi? Yes, I'm fine with it. But didn't I enjoy the way, although it's fancy, but NO, I don't.
Was looking for a revolving sushi place like in Japan and found Kura but it was almost the same. The inside of the restaurant looked and felt like the same in Japan, quality of the fish was pretty good for some of their sushi, and service was a little lacking unless you call them or press on the service button. Came on two Saturday lunch’s was only a 10 -20 min wait. They have a sign in tablet for wait list so you get a text message when ready. Came with a friend and one day with my family. Make sure to sit in the middle of the restaurant when called. When we took our girls, we actually sat at the very end end table of the restaurant where the plates were received last and barely got to pick any good sushi we wanted unless ordered. We got unlucky when we came with my daughters. They do have a robot server which was cute. You also only have less than an hour and a half seating time and 4 orders per order; not enough time for us when we sat at the back end table so we were not as full as we expected. It was so much better seated in middle tables; you get a better pick of sushi. The best sushi’s were the hand rolls, Sashimi and toro rolls. I did not like the garlic skip tuna; it was a little tough or the sweet shrimp nigiri or cooked rolls or nigiri’s. Not my faves. We didn’t try any of their ramens, cooked plates or dessert here. Why go to a revolving sushi bar for anything else? You do get a prize I believe after 15 plates dripping in the dish slot; Just like the style of Japan restaurants. Price per place was not bad and there are four locations to close from in the Bay Area. I may come here again in the future.
The food was excellent but it took nearly an hour to make (55 minutes!!) our take-out ready. The bathrooms were clean, the restaurant was nearly empty, the customers came after us, ate and left while we were waiting for our food! Take-out food shouldn't ever take more than half an hour! Since it took an hour to prepare our food during their slow time, we can't imagine coming here during rush hour! Not likely!!
This location is newly opened, so it is much cleaner than other locations. But for food quality, I felt here portions are smaller so keep ordering until felt full 2 persons for $65 and plus tips . Kura in Japan is great , but in US , I think I will just go the real sushi restaurant.
The food is mid, the best thing was the rainbow sushi. Its basically self serve but the staff are chill. Its a fun concept. But it just wasn't that good. Too expensive for just one person. Spent 60 dollars for just 2 people.
Perhaps the worst experience I’ve ever had in a Kura. First, the wait time to order anything is long. I waited 15 minutes to get a spicy yellowtail hand roll and it was 95% rice and a tiny single piece of fish. The table service was not good, me and my family ordered some soups and we had dishes pilled up that we asked the server a few times if they could please pick it up to give us room to eat and they ignored us. We spent $120+ as a family of 5 and it was absolutely not worth it. Bad service, bad wait time and disappointment in the food. Also didn’t seem like things were being cleaned which was concerning, we saw the same raw fish circling around the entire time we were there.
Service was with a robot which delivers you your drinks, ordering from the tablet the food will be delivered via train. That gives the place a great atmosphere. But we tried their Tantan Ramen, it has gotta be the worse tantan ive had. It tasted like hot water, dashi and siracha. Shouldve just stuck the the cheap sushi. I just had to try their ramen offering.
If you go non pick hours, you will ended up eating things that were circulating around for a while and not eating fresh sushi is not cool and dangerous. One time I got very bad food poisoning. Cupertino location has a better quality of food. Servers are kind in both locations. They changed the music which is quite awful. They changed the ginger and now it is like sweeter than candy ginger. So so sweet unfortunately.
