Loved there food everything so fresh and yummy strongly recommend to all I was just passing bye first time and I live in south San Francisco I do plan to come back worth it
(First time customer) Ordered vegetable chow mein and asked for veggie broth instead of the chicken broth, they switched it no problem, they had my order in less than 10 minutes and it tasted great!
This was my first visit, the food was AMAZING and the service, atmosphere and over all restaurant was very excellent. I would definitely recommend this resturant and i will definitely be coming back...
Just ate here for the first time and not only was their food fantastic, but the customer service was A1. Very friendly. This will definitely be my new Chinese food spot.
The place is vey nice and enjoyable,I really like the lunch specials with a lot of different choices
Solano County's best Chinese food by far. If being open over 30 years doesn't prove they are amazing then what does? I highly recommend you done here.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Both the food and the service was great! Don't be turned away by the location of this place, because the food far surpasses it's unassuming appearance.
Always authentic Chinese food. Friendly services & timely. Recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great food & a simple and friendly setting.
Growing up in the city I learned to appreciate excellence in Asian cuisine. This place ranks amongst some of the best places I've been to.
They serve egg foo young that I remember eating at SF restaurants in the 70's as a kid. I love their dishes and are my favorite for Chinese food.
Best Chinese food in Fairfield
Large portion for lunch.Food came to our table quickly, and hot.Friendly server took my special request for off the menu order.
Always so nice! great seevice good food, and you get your money's worth! the lunch special is like 10 bucks and you get soup, egg roll, full to go box of andy entr and any side. this place helped me survive through college man! so great!
THE best Chinese food in Fairfield. Sweet and sour shrimp is a must, wonton soup uuummmazing. Nicest people who own it, always greet us with our first names. This place is the only reason we go to Fairfield anymore. Worth that 12min drive from Vacaville 😉
My husband & I enjoyed it very much... Food was delicious & hot. Food was served in 10 mins. After ordering plus took leftovers home. Great service.
Yummy walnut prawns and chicken fried rice. Delicious egg rolls and egg drop soup. They are so nice here, will make sure you are getting plenty of good food.
Always consistent. Really enjoy the food here. They will make my meal without MSG if I request it. Staff is friendly. Prices are good. I think one of the best places in FF for Chinese food.
Great Food. Veggies are always fresh . The people are really friendly. I sometimes have requests like "add broccoli" or "substitute this for that" they are always accommodating and don't seem to mind. If you are looking for a good meal in Fairfield you have found it.
Very Nice, Very Prompt, and Their food recipes are always the same... "They have the best Salted Pepper Chicken Wings in all Vacaville and Fairfield." Highly recommend them out of all the Chinese Food Restaurants in all Vacaville and #1 in Fairfield. Thank You...
We're from Hawaii originally, and the food at Peking is the closest we've had to Hawaiian style Chinese food here in California. For those that know what I mean, you understand. We especially enjoy the House Special Rice Noodle and the Egg Fu Yung with Shrimp. Very good!
Ordered lunch special B online with Beyond Menu (Chicken & broccoli with chicken fried rice. Comes with egg drop soup and a small egg roll). Everything, fresh, hot and delicious. YUM!
Delicious food and great service
Was very hesitant to try this place but ended being happily surprised! Our family had made a road trip stop nearby to eat at another restaurant which was closed for Easter Sunday. This restaurant was our only other option nearby and so we took our chances. Turned out to be a wonderful meal and will likely be our go to place when traveling between Santa Rosa and Tahoe. We ordered Sizzling Rice Soup (great broth!) Calamari (perfect texture & freshness), Moo Shu Pork (not too sweet!), Singapore Noodles (only decent as noodles were a bit moist - great flavor though) & Beef with Bok Choy (very tasty). We will be back!
Great food very tasty!..
Awesome won ton soup and the roast duck was good. Fried rice also cooked really well. Great sit down or take out place!
It was the best chinese restaurant I've been to in this area. The veggies were fresh, pit stickers and won tons not greasy at all, lastly, no msg headache after 1hour at home. Grabbed a take out menu going out the door. Definitely my Chinese quisene place from here on out.
Peking was amazing tonight. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant. Tonight the dishes were all delicious. The vegetables beautiful and fresh, the meat tender and perfectly cooked and the service friendly and quick.
Their Kung Pao Chicken is FANTASTIC! Great flavor and heat.
This is a hidden gem! We had such a great time here. The food was fresh and the service was excellent! They have a large menu and everything was great! Their wor won ton soup, garlic broccoli, freshly made pork buns! Whew! Where has this Chinese restaurant been all my life! Thank you for the great food and excellent staff!!
First time there, WOW! Egg drop soup had bright, fresh greens & amazing flavor! My cashew nut chicken was the freshest, cleanest I have EVER! My husband loves beef egg foo yung with no water chestnuts- NO problem 😳😁 Super sweet young lady who answers the phone & cashiers has great customer service skills. We ❤ this place. Our new fave
They always use really fresh seasonal vegetables. Never overly greasy like some places. The hot and sour soup is excellent, never had anything bad from there. It's family owned by people that live nearby. Love it!
Ordered take out and all the food was really good. The absolute stand out for me was the vegetable egg rolls, probably the best I've ever had. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection!
I love this restaurant. Service is always wonderful. Graat food and their chow main is absolutely the BEST, ever!!
The Generals Chicken is among my three best, and I have tried many! My typical order is the Generals Chicken, Chicken Chow mein, and egg fried rice with only green onions... to go! The chow mein is excellent too, it has a flavor that reminds me of the original Mandarin (before their new building on the Texas curve, early 80's). The egg fried rice is what my wife likes with the Generals Chicken. I have tried others in the area, but this is my only go to place for Chinese food!
Everything was amazing and the Peking duck was amazing. The service was great , the older gentleman was such a sweetheart , thank you for the great experience. AUTHENTIC.
Very fresh food and very friendly service. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the Kung Pao chicken was delicious, although we should have added chili sauce. It is in the way between Redwood City and Tahoe, so a great place to stop off Hwy 80.
Great authentic Chinese food. We have come here both to eat in and for take out. They offer a lot of food at good prices and having fabulous flavors. Chef really knows how to make each ingredient stand out to it's best.
Quick service and tasty food. The won ton soup hit the spot on a cool rainy evening, and the beef & bean curd dinner was good, too.
My husband and I have been customers since our high school years and now with two of our own. My kids love it just the same we do. Absolutely love it. The food is always delicious!
My personal favorite is either the sesame chicken or the asparagus beef, and for dessert definitely the bean paste balls, not to sweet not to savory. It’s just right
We love coming here. The food is consistently great. The owners and service is friendly
Our go to chinese restaurant in fairfield. Food quality is always good and service is great . We come here atleast once a week. .
Friendly staff Delicious food Generous servings
I will come to this place again. The food came super quick and it was good. It was fresh. The atmosphere was good and the service was good. definitely better than other Chinese places here so if you ask me, I would recommend this place.
I been a customer of this restaurant for over 35 years. There has been some changes to the ownership and the atmosphere. However, the food has never changed. Always good and consistent quality. The customer service is top notch. What I love most is I can ask for custom orders. If you so not like certain vegetables in a dish, as for a substitute. My favorite is a custom dish, Almond Chicken with snow peas, water chestnut, and mushrooms. The Won Ton Soup is just like I had as a young kid in Oakland 45 years ago.
My wife and I Ordered the lunch special to go the food was amazing, the portion sizes in the to go box were huge definitely more than one meal. My wife loved the chow mein. She never orders chow mein because it’s usually really dry and not much flavor but it had delicious sauce that packed a punch.
The sweet and sour chicken was tasty. The chicken had a crunch from being fried. The rice was really good, the noodles from the chow mein were fresh, and the service was awesome.
We came to this restaurant last year and we weren't very impressed. We tried again and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered again tonight and everything was fantastic! We had the daily shrimp egg roll special and my kids said "order these every time." Your restaurant is my new go-to for carrying out. Loving the new changes!!
Love this place, been coming here since High School. My favorite dishes are the honey walnut chicken and pot stickers. Definitely a must eat if youre ever in the fairfield area.
A store front Chinese restaurant, clean good service. I liked my lunch special twice cooked pork.
We stopped here while our car was charging. The food was very good. The server seemed like the owner. He was very patient and refreshingly nice. Would recommend the place.
ordered takeout from Beijing Restaurant over the phone. The portions were generous, and the food tasted amazing. It was ready right on time — I picked it up and drove about 20 minutes home, and everything was still hot when I opened it. The packaging was excellent, and the presentation looked great. I hosted a dinner for several friends, and everyone absolutely loved the food. I’ll definitely come back again, and my friends all said they will too!
This Chinese restaurant has very fresh ingredients and the food is served quickly. I never expected that the taste was so good, especially the wonton soup and fried noodles. I will definitely come back again. Warm atmosphere and perfect service. Top 1 in my heart
Great place! Last minute choice to go there 20 minutes before closing and i can gladly say that the food was absolutely delicious (the chicken fried rice was the best) The server was very attentive and had great service, they even let us stay a few minutes after closing! Great place 10/10 would recommend
The spicy wontons here are incredible. I live 90 minutes away but every time I drive through I have to stop and get this. I usually drive away with a box full of orders of the dumplings and save the extra sauce to use with my own frozen dumplings later. That's how good it is. Pretty much everything else on the menu is decent. I can personally vouch for the mu shu pork, generals chicken, and Mongolian beef. The potsticker style is a super thick and puffy shell which isn't always my preference but it's still very good.
What an amazing experience! I’m in town for the Bottlerock festival and the hotel recommended this restaurant. I’m really glad they did. I’ve eaten here twice now the last two days and it’s been amazing both times. Yesterday I had the pork fried rice, today I had the chicken fried rice and both days I ordered the steamed dumplings (which were delicious). The owner was very attentive, polite, and made sure my order was perfect. There’s a reason this is the best Chinese food in Fairfield. Quite honestly it’s the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time and being in the entertainment industry traveling from city to city…that says a lot. I will be eating here again in the future!!
Stayed at a hotel near by and this restaurant was recommended by the staff, and It did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, the food is very fresh and delicious, the ambiance is nice and relaxed. I got the lemon chicken with brown rice, and it was delicious, and so was the Thai tea. If in the area and you like Chinese food, definitely worth a try.
OMG!!!! And Wow!!!! Came out of both my lady and I mouths. Service was fast and friendly. Food tasted fresh and hot which tends to be a big problem for me in other restaurants. The flavor was to die for. As a chef for 12 years, I can honestly say if you are looking for flavor that can resemble home cooking, then this is the place for you. As you can see the portions are huge for the price. I recommend this place for sure.
Excellent Chinese cuisine. Very pleasant waitstaff.Lovely setting. Food not oily or greasy. Great selection at VERY reasonable prices.
Looks like a hole In the wall place, but with that being said the food is great! Great flavors great service very friendly fast service and open on sundays!! Fish tank is cool
We stopped through this area to charge my car and stop at this restaurant to have lunch The staff was very friendly and food was also tasty we did not have to wait long to get our food. I would definitely stop back here again.
Ordered general tsaos chicken and Mongolian beef. Unfortunately they gave me orange chicken which was still not bad but not what I wanted. My wife liked the beef so that’s a plus in my books.
Solid lunch. Quite tasty. Had veggie egg rolls, curry chicken, won ton soup. I'm reviewing the restaurant so we can find it again next time we roll through.
Food is delicious. I would score it a 5..if the place wasnt run down. But the place is clean . My family and I have been going here since 2000. I'm half Chinese and their food quality is spot on! The service portions are enough for family sharing. Their price has gone up just like other restaurants because of the economy but I'm glad the flavor remains great! They cook fast and fed our family of 11! This is my go-to when I also want to pick up food after a long day at work! I'm never disappointed! Egg foo Yung, eggplant shechaun, Hong Kong style noodles, pork spareribs, fish with black bean sauce, onion pancake, honey walnut prawns are my favorites!
The last time I got something from here was on GrubHub and it wasn't what I expected. The amount was small and it wasn't appetizing. But when I order inside it's better and fresh. I like it, but not much.
Food was amazing, get the chow mein with the lunch special. The fried rice is good too, but the chow mein is way better. I got the cherry pork, so good, crispy breading and sweet spicy cherry sauce. The Jasmine tea for the table was delicious. I wish the dining room was a little brighter and updated. The people are very nice and the food more than makes up for the decor, but this place is a hole in the wall. A wonderful delicious hole in the wall.
The food is tasty. The atmosphere inside is fair, but I have to say I generally take out. The service is timely and courteous. The styling of the food is more Americanized Chinese, but outcome is in line with "Yay, just like mom's cooking," very home like flavors. The main drawback is that it is pretty expensive for what you are getting, however in Fairfield it seems like the best deal. There are other places that offer fare at the same price, but considerably worse tasting.
The friendliest staff works here! They are very attentive and the food comes out so fast, you wonder if they are mind readers! The food is consistently delicious. This is our go to spot for Chinese food. I am in love with their fried wontons! I may need to go back soon! Also, the moo shu pork is very tasty. Wor wonton soup is savory and the soup is not overly salty and you can taste each ingredient. Tonight's mind reader was on staff. Our food came out so fast, it's the only explanation I have! Consistent quality!
I ordered the Beef Chow Fun, dine-in. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The Chow Fun noodles had that just-right texture and soft meatiness I used to find at P.F. Chang’s… back when they served a Chow Fun noodle. Not copious amounts but, fair amounts of tender beef in the dish. A good sauce and fair portion as well. Plate presentation wasn’t even considered. Nonetheless it was rather tasty, actually. The service/owners are busy but friendly. I see the crowd this restaurant is aiming for. This ain’t fine Chinese dinning. This is convenience food. Don’t bring a date here hoping to romance her. The ambiance is “Chinese kitsch”. Plenty of cute Chinese decorations but, tables and chairs of a pizza parlor. The blinds at the front are a bit tired and they could take the silly icicle lights down too. I kinda feel like I’m in Vegas. All that said, if you’re not expecting too much and don’t want to spend too much on just feeding yourself and maybe the kids, this place works just fine.
A wonderful discovery! This tucked away restaurant isn't much to look at but the food is all wonderfully prepared and served with generous portions. The egg rolls were freshly fried and crispy. The beef broccoli was tender. The fried noodles were well prepared. Nothing was too salty as you might find at other Chinese restaurants. My only small complaint was the hot and sour soup was a bit thin. The service was fast and wonderful. The man and woman running the front of house were attentive though a bit harried. Great value and delicious eats!
Looks Like it has changed owners. We have been going there since 1985. Stopped in the other day , the owners we knew were not there, all the pictures and decorations have changed. We decided to try it out, they are using the same menu so I had ordered a familiar dish I had many times before. The taste was different, some will say it is fine. I just did not care for it. We might come back but it is not my go to place anymore. I hope the are successful with there restaurant.
First off let me say that this place HAS good food, from there things go downhill. Most of their business is to go. But for me, I want to eat my Chinese food when it's hot and fresh. To go is ok for stuff like noodles or rice, but not for other stuff. Tonight the poor lady was working the dine in customers and the very busy to go orders. She was answering the phone and taking the orders all while keeping a watchful eye on her baby that was quietly entertained with cartoons. You cannot expect one person to do all this and because of that everyone suffers...including the lady trying to keep things together. This is unfortunately a new normal...people do not want to work and those left to pull the load are forced to do triple the work. I just really hope that they hire more help for the front of the house, it's just so frustrating that it took over an hour to order, eat and pay the bill.
I wouldve given them 5 stars had they not give me old chow mein noodles when i ordered bbq pork chowmein. I know the dif. I can taste the dif. Like really guys…
A customer got the wrong food and sample thinking it was theirs and restaurant said bring itback even if you try the food and we resell it to another customer. In front of her another lady walk in and told her this is extra food never been touch. Bad service wont eat there👎👎
It was ok overpriced for sure by two dollars on most items. Not much of a taste. Clean location great customer service however, weak on food.
The atmosphere wasn’t great, and the service was disappointing. They made us tip without asking and even tried to pressure us into tipping more. The food was just alright not enough to make up for the experience.
I picked up an order that was for $24 and some change. Paid with $100 gave me $65 back . Would not return my $10 Beware count your money . Will never go there again!!! Thieves
Didn't recieve what we ordered, the food was good but poor service. One couple walked out. Seems to not be the quality of place it once was.
Had just the worst experience here. Food ordered was not as advertised on the menu and came out bland and watery. It was such a joke I had to return the food all the way back to the restaurant and told the person who took out the order about the issue. He was least helpful and refused to give refund for the inconvenience and deceit. I just left the food and walked away ..
So sad Jenny and her family sold the place. We found this place on 2004 when we move to Solano County. Now the food is not the same. Even the simple dishes. They are telling the custumer the owners are in Vacation in China. We know better. If you keeping the menu keep the people who cooked and serve. So disappointed
Asked for my check they took my card and had it for like 20mins came back said I was all set. Get to my truck look at my phone and see my charge for my food and another for almost 200 dollars..
I used to order from Peking spending from $75 - $120 plus tip and was satisfied until I came in to place an order and for some reason the man at the front counter was very rude to me. I greeted him when I came in and said how are you doing and he said I AM BUSY. I waited for a while until I saw he wasn't doing anything at all and he purposely ignored me. I was very confused by this because the only other customers that were there were already seated and eating their meal. and there was a lady that had come out of the back and for about 15 maybe 20 minutes no one addressed me. They just kept walking around while I was standing there by the fish tank. I waited that long just to see if this was purposely done and it was so I waited til both of them were in front of me and said I don't know what I could have done for them to treat me like this but have a good evening anyway. I hope your other customers will get better service than I did. I haven't been back since.
Ordered General Tso chicken thinking I was ordering from a good restaurant. Picked it up very excited because I remember Gold Phoenix (restaurant I thought I was getting) being amazing. This place charged almost $16 and didn't even fill the tiny tray. It wasn't even General chicken! They gave me sweet and sour chicken fingers tossed in chili sauce. They also wanted to charge me extra for white rice and broccoli!!! Had alot of Chinese food across the country and this was THE WORST. Taking advantage of people because they didn't want to cook the recipe is not right.
Will never order from this restaurant again. It was raining the night of my order and I ended up getting into an accident. Obviously shaken, my first goal was to make it back home. I got a call from the restaurant asking if I was coming to pick up the food. I explained what happened and was essentially told that they wasted food (making my order). So you mean to tell me that an order of shrimp fried rice is more valuable than a human life? Ok got it. Let me just duct tape the car up, continue driving in the rain, and come and get my food so it doesn’t go to waste. What joke. I hope whoever I was on the phone with sees this review.
New owners and the quality of food has gone downhill drastically. I will not eat here any longer. I myself just ordered mu Shu pork and was given Mexican tortillas with it. I love Mexican food and if I wanted Mexican flower tortillas I would have ordered that from a Mexican restaurant not from a Chinese restaurant. When I asked the man why he served me flour tortillas he told me he knows their tortillas but they're calling them Chinese pancakes. It was a complete waste of conversation
Poor quality, no taste and overpriced. I ordered pork fried rice and received chicken. The rice was clumpy and bland. I ordered Kung pao shrimp and received something that was deep fried with no vegetables or anything else. Wouldn't waste my time or money on this awful place again.
If I had the choice to give it 0 stars I would. The food we were served tonight was extremely bland and seemed like it was cooked by an apprentice. I paid almost 26 bucks for ordering their spicy szechuan boiled fish fillet, but it was literally just boiled in WATER with some ginger and dried red chill pepper, came out in a poor tiny container. I actualy did ate there once before this visit, and their food dissapointed me. I told myself today I would give them one more try, but they failed again. As a Chinese, I should help Chinese, but I would not recommoned this restaurant to our comminity!
Rice not fully cooked hard grains, no flavor, not fresh. This was even after they considered remaking it. I've been here before a few times and it was good idk what changed but it was not good. The honey walnut prawns were covered in thick dough. I spent $40 for a meal I wouldn't give to the homeless it's so nasty. Wish I could tell them they needed to go back to the old way.
Sadly the restaurant is no longer the same. Steve and Jenny have sold the restaurant and the food has suffered. A mainstay item that my family has always ordered for 35 years is entirely different now. The food tastes like it is mediocre prefrozen boxed food. Sizzling Rice Soup now has garlic in it, the original freshly made crispy rice is now pre-made presses rice that tastes gummy and doesn’t even sizzle. Chicken that is covered in a sauce is so dry that you almost feel like you might get more out of a dog treat left over from a weekend dog show. While I loved the original restaurant due to the family and the wonderful authentic recipes; I find it now to be fake and plastic. I went there tonight to celebrate my moms birthday since I was out of town and I will now not ever be going back.
Thank you all for helping me reach over 10 million views! 🥰😘 I only write reviews if the food and/or service are awesome or terrible. If the experience was just basic, I usually forget to write a review when I get home. If you would like to get more of my reviews, like and follow. Here's the review: I ordered delivery on this experience and it was terrible. The 6 dumplings for $13.15 were each smaller than a golf ball. My veggie egg rolls has a bunch of tissues and sweat and sour sauce shoved in the box and it was all loosely tied together with nothing protecting my food from the driver. The driver tossed my food on the ground and everything was spilled over. I called grubhub and reported this. Will I be ordering here again? No! Im about to have to order more food from somewhere else cuz this was terrible. I'm not even going to post pictures of this garbage.
Ordered kung pao chicken and Mongolian beef lunch combo meals. Chicken was poorly seasoned and bland. Beef was tough and chewey, scant and flavorless. Requested wonton as our combo soup and received the obligatory egg snot and a full order of wonton soup. I ordered the wonton soup only as part of the combo, not as a separate order. Did not enjoy either soup. Both tasted like dish water. This restaurant is not as good as when my family visited years ago. Total was approximately $45 for two nasty lunch combos and a regretful order of wonton soup. We will not return again.
I'm very disappointed in my order! I got a number 27 on the lunch menu. It's sweet and sour pork (dry and flavor less), chow mien(so much grease), fried rice(old tasting), fried ribs(so dry I could not chew them), and chicken wings (that were so over cooked) The meal was inedible. The portion sizes were so little compared to the price. I'm not going back. Well maybe to get a refund.
