This was the first time we come out for dinner since the start of the pandemic. From the first, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Gregory our server was terrific. He went the extra mile to assure us that the Veranda experience and food had not changed from its excellence. He was on the money. The fish fresh and so tasty. The 🍷 he suggested was perfect. I was here for a holiday dinner. The food was good. The menu leans towards Greek and American. The waiters were attentive and accommodating. The place was not packed and we were not rushed. I had the Seafood Orzo and that was very tasty. They have an outdoor area for dining as well. Overall a very nice place for a dinner with friends.

Veranda is the easiest, most accomodating place I've worked with for hosting an event - the management and staff are excellent. I just had a christening party here and the food was excellent, fresh and flavorful. All my guests were happy. The staff is professional and attentive. I've had dinner here on a regular evening as well and again food and staff were wonderful. Thank you!!

Went to Veranda yesterday and still had the best time and delicious food and great service. My last post was over a year ago and nothing has changed! My sister and I love this place. They treat us like Princesses! The food is excellent and so is the service. It's a wonderful treat to sit outside and enjoy the weather and a yummy meal. Inside is all class too!

Great restaurant! The zucchini chips are really fantastic. Service is excellent. The brunch menu, in particular, is a can't go wrong option. We had our daughter's sweet 16 party here. Everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Great service, atmosphere and delicious food. We just made it for a prefixed menu. I had the shrimp and linguine. My husband had the salmon. He had a delicious Greek salad that reminded him of his first time in Greece. I had a broccoli cheddar soup. We both had a chocolate ice cream after. Can't wait to take family and friends there!

My friends and I adore this restaurant. It's one of our go-to places for brunch or dinner. The food is yummy (get the grilled octopus appetizer at dinner time). The ambiance is nice, quiet/relaxing. It's a good place to have conversations. Plenty of space between tables. Lighting is good--it's not too bright, it's not dim (I like to see my food). The workers are attentive and pleasant. In nice weather (warm seasons), sit outside. A lot of food offerings are in the first two levels of the double digit price range. Depending on what time/day of the day/week you come, you should be able to find free parking fairly easily in the neighboring residential areas (on the north side of Northern Blvd).

Veranda is an excellent Italian/Greek restaurant. The food is consistently good. Try the baby lamb chops. They are the best!

We just had my daughters baby shower 9/14/24 Although it had to be one of the hottest September days no one complained as it was outdoors and Nick promised it would be a beautiful day! He was right. The food was outstanding, drinks delicious and the appetizers just kept coming out. The service was impeccable and everyone agreed the guys did a fabulous job. This is an honest review no fluff. Iwaited for over an hour for brunch on Ester Sunday! Not complaining i just love the place. I ordered an Avo toast. They literally threw an avocato cut in half ovee two slices of bread and two thick tomato slices it was discusting and tasted blah. Tbe waiter was sweet amd kind and apologized for the time. So im not a fusser it was ok. Will I go back YES! but something has to give. I love the setting, the location, and the ambiance. Went to La Veranda for lunch today. l had the very reasonably priced pre fixe lunch, a great French Onion soup to start, a shrimp/linguine diablo, and a greek yogurt fruit dessert. My mom had the crab cake burger. Everything was great. You know when it crosses that, 'yum line' on a French Onion soup done right, then the large and plentiful shrimp w linguini was fabulous. Crab cake was so good with a nice homemade style tartar sauce. The service also was excellent. Friendly and very polite. Attentive without a hint of intrusiveness. Felt like a very genuine, welcoming environment. Had been looking for a go to place when l visit family in Bayside. Found it.

I'd like to give kudos to Nick and his staff at Veranda Restaurant & Cafe. We held my daughter's bridal shower brunch for 22 people there today under the pergola. The food was excellent, and the waitstaff led by Daniel was impeccable! I highly recommend this venue.

Last Saturday we celebrated my birthday with my husband and friends. Everybody love the food,we start with the zucchini and the coconut jumbo shrimp I have the swordfish , my friends the bronzino and salmon , the waitress Sandra, was very Helpful and knowledgeable of the menu . The dessert with my candle was the galactoboureko, warm with pudding inside, very different and delicious, After all the enjoyment of food singer came to the table and sing 🎶 for us. We will be back and recommended to our friends, who love to eat excellent 😀 food.

I’ve gone here a few times with family for birthday celebrations; it’s my sister in law’s fave place for a gathering. The staff is very attentive and friendly, you get great service. The food is delicious - omg the zucchini chips, their dip (hummus and tzatziki sauce) and pita bread platter, calamari and sauce, their grilled shrimp, veggies, even salad is amazing! The whole family and children tend to eat very well when we come here! Would highly recommend. They even had a live jazz singer with band playing this past Saturday when we went. Overall great ambiance, esp for the family.

Bday dinner w/ Mom. Had the early dinner special. Honey glazed roasted pork and mash potatos. Mediterranean salad and greek yogurt dessert. Mom had the shrimp linguini diablo. All were superb. Service was astounding.

It was my first time dining at Veranda for a birthday celebration. The food from the appetizers to main course was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, decor taseful and clean. Our server Gregory was wonderful, attentive and patient. I definitely recommend Veranda and will visit again.

Love this place!! The servers were on point always came around to ask if we were ok and filled our glass up every time it was near empty. The food was exquisite, a little expensive but worth it. And even though I didn't take any pictures of the food, it looked beautiful and the drinks were really good and not watered down, which is great.

Went to Veranda on Labor Day Weekend for a birthday celebration. Sat outdoors and it was beautiful! Their outdoor decor is so pretty. First time we went I ordered the pita dipping platter, lamb chops, creme brulee and the baklava. Everything was fresh and flavorful. If you're a fan of Greek/Mediterranean this spot is for you! I came back to this location a second time in October for indoor dining. Social distancing is taken seriously and it's a nice quiet ambience. Ordered the spanakopita and pita dips platter again. Spanakopita serving is two big triangles with a bed of arugula on top. Really filling! Blackberry mint mojito was also really good. We also ordered a bottle of Greek white wine for the table that was a hit. Service was quick and professional. Hopefully will be back soon possibly for takeout.

Excellent service, The Seafood Orzo was perfectly spicy 🔥. We ordered just about all the appetizers. My favorites were the pita dipping tray and the grilled octopus. They make a wicked red wine sangria so order the pitcher. During the covid-19 pandemic, probably one of the nicer outdoor spots I've dined out in. It's called Veranda for a reason!

11-3-24 Re: brunch Veranda has quickly become one of our favorite local spots. It's truly a hidden gem, as we've never seen it packed during Sunday brunch. We hope it stays that way, given the trend of Asian restaurants taking over closed businesses in the area. While the brunch menu isn't extensive, the quality is top-notch. Every dish we've tried has been consistently delicious. The frittata is a standout, and the lemon ricotta pancakes are simply divine. Even the bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy and not greasy at all. The service is equally impressive. The white tablecloths and uniformed servers create a refined atmosphere, and the attentive staff ensures that your coffee and water are always full. No need to flag them down! Did I mention, inexpensive as well? You can’t go wrong. Overall, Veranda offers a delightful brunch experience that's worth seeking out. A small suggestion for improvement: It might be helpful to tone down the strong perfume worn by some of the staff, as it can be bothersome for sensitive customers. Update- Brought my son who is visiting for the weekend. There's a big party going on and yet stellar service remained. They even accommodated us when they saw my husband and son were watching football on their phones. They moved us to a table closer to the television and changed the chancel to the game we were watching. Yes, in spite of a big party going on, they paid attention to us. We were very happy with the service and always felt the VIP treatment. Of course, we always take advantage of their Fix Pre Menu again . The soup for the day includes pumpkin soup which imo was delicious. My husband had the chicken soup and he said a bit on the salty side otherwise it was good. So request less salt if you are considering to order the chicken soup. Previous review- What not to like? Great atmosphere, clean, good food and excellent service. We met with friends and requested for an outdoor seating . It was perfect.... we did the fix pre and was the perfect decision. A lot of selections to choose from. Grilled or pan seared branzinos with fresh grilled vegetables were amazing. Same with their tuna piccata pasta. The recommended red wine was very good too. I love the virgin passion fruit mojito. Gregory , our server was awesome. Everyone ordered the baklava for their dessert and I opted for the Greek yogurt mousse ... which was delicious. It wasn't sour at all . So highly recommended. Great experience. If you will order the Greek coffee, it wasn't the same as my friends expected. They said it was weak for their taste . I am not a Greek coffee connoisseur so I can't speak for them. This was my second time at Veranda. I enjoyed their weekend brunch and decided to come back for dinner. I wasn't disappointed.

Best experience ever. Better then ever before. Delicious Thai Mussels and Filo wrapped Feta with honey. Whole bronzino amd white clam sauce pasta delicious. And yes try the chocolate souffle that is fesh made with real dark chocolate. Try the black port wine. Love this place.

AMAZING 10/10!!!! The service was perfect. The food was amazing, I got the mushroom omelette with extra cheese it was better than I expected. The french toast was also really good. The food portions are big which is also a huge plus. Two omelettes, one french toast, and 4 mimosas for 84$ excluding tip. Will definitely be coming here every week!

Celebrated Valentine’s Day here. They have only Valentine’s Day menu for $85 per person. I was upset at the very beginning because I expected order dishes my own but then we can only choose main course from a set menu. However, after enjoying the service here, I think $85 was still valuable. It contains one appetizer, one main course and one dessert. The service was really good here, staffs were caring and polite. Appetizer we choose salad and Coconut Shrimp. I really recommend the Coconut Shrimp. The Shrimp was giant and very crispy. Only 3 shrimps per dish but I think it’s still good portion for appetizer. Main course we choose steak and Scollop Risotto. The steak was tender, which was out of my expect. Risotto was also above average. We were mostly full on the half way of main course, since they also provided free bread. Dessert we choose Chocolate Lava Cake and Cheese Cake. Both taste really good! We ordered 3 appetizers: octopus, calamari and Tuna tartare. They were great except the Tuna was a bit salty. No sure if someone slipped with the seasoning since the calamari and octopus were perfect. Our entrees were very enjoyable as we mostly ordered Sunday breakfast / brunch items.

My family and I went to Veranda restaurant in Bayside yesterday for. Birthday dinner. The restaurant is well located, with street parking and valet service as well. There’s an outdoor patio, that for obvious reason we couldn’t use. The temperatures in NY have been in the single digits lately. The food and the service were on another level! Gregory was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was finger liking good! I had the pan seared scallops with spinach risotto and OMG. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was pleased with the their food choices and I highly recommend this place, unfortunately I didn’t take pics of everyone’s food. Only if mine, I hope you find this review useful. This review is about a week late but I couldn't miss the chance to say thank you! we celebrated my dad's 70th at Veranda planning was fairly last minute and from the moment I called to the day of the dinner they were so awesome and accommodating. We reserved the wine room with Nick he was AMAZING. Truly a man of service I felt so welcomed and he took care of everything beforehand. On the day of he was also there and our waitress was great and patient as well. Food was great we ordered a bunch and did it family style. Had the Sangria pitchers for drinks everyone said they were so good and nice and strong. Incredible value and experience booking with Veranda. Thank you so much we will be back.

This restaurant is consistently good! The food is delicious. The atmosphere is private - perfect for business or leisure. The service is excellent. Went there for Saturday brunch, food were amazing, I work in food industry, so satisfying me is kind of hard, loved it.

The food was different, I can't say it was bad food but if you're looking for exceptional + $$$, this is not the spot for you. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable for the most part. I take away 1 star as others in my party didn't agree with the staffs ability to accurately take and provide their order. Their meals did not arrive to the table as requested and as expected, for the price it's higher than what is delivered.

I went with my friend Sandy tonight to celebrate her birthday we didn't plan it and it was a real treat. The service was excellent given by our waitress named Tasha. The fish was delicious, the humus fresh, and the baklava to die for. Really enjoyed it!

Good but a bit expensive. Anything spicy you order will be very mild so if you want to feel some heat ask for extra spicy or something. Other than that its very good shrimp and octopus we're good and brownie was fluffy

Mid to upscale cafe and restaurant with great ambiance and service. New York strip steak was tender and juicy and seasoned well. The wild mushroom ravioli was a bit dry but still good. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought but the steak was filling. There’s street parking in the front and around. Customer service was great, our waiter asked us how things were and etc. I would recommend to come here if you’re in the Bayside area looking for some fine but casual dining.

Great service and atmosphere but food was mostly mediocre. French toast was good, Greek custard pie was great. Eggs Benedict with lox were pretty flavorless, steak and eggs were okay.

Zucchini chips are spot on, and love the risotto croquettes too for apps. Their entrees are mediocre, used to be better a few years back, but recommend the seafood and pastas overall. Chocolate souffle for dessert to end a decent meal.

Come here for the outdoor space. The food is ok if you order right. It's really just for a nosh and a drink and enjoy the fresh air because realistically, there are not many great outdoor options in this neighborhood.

Very nice although it's going to be an issue with outdoor seating and the weather. Food was good, the grilled shrimp risotto was tasty. Salad with grilled chicken very much less impressive. Chicken was tasteless and they forgot to add the dressing. I'd go back for the lamb chops because it seems like that was popular tonight.

The good first... The atmosphere was really good and welcoming. Our server was really, really good. We enjoyed our interaction with him. The bronzini was dry and lacked flavour. I was unable to eat it. My husband enjoyed the seafood and I loved the vegetables and the platter of dips. Because I didn't eat the sea bass, we were given free desserts which were delicious - cheesecake and a drink.

Wonderful hidden spot with an unexpected nice outdoor dining area. Once seated inside you forget that you’re on northern Blvd right near the clearview expressway. They don’t skimp on the alcohol in their cocktails and food portions are generous and always good.

This restaurant is casual chic. You have a choice to sit outdoors, which is very relaxing or indoors, that is modern contemporary. I like that the tables have tablecloths. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious with a variety of choices. I especially enjoyed the guacamole with crispy tortilla chips that were homemade. The Caesar Salad was delicious. My dinner choice was Shrimp Diablo to die for with fettuccini and a tomato sauce that was spicy. Another wonderful dish was grilled lamb chops. Lastly, the salmon was very fresh. We were all very satisfied with our choices . I look forward to returning.

The prix fixe menu is a pretty darn good deal! My partner and I are big eaters and the portion sizes left us wanting, but we still left feeling mostly satisfied. The service was good, if a bit slow, and the outdoor eating area was delightful.

We came by for brunch and it was great. Love their outdoor seating area. A perfect place to enjoy meal on warm sunny day. Food was good and service was good as well. Everything we ordered was good. Just the hash was under salted.

Still good...I loved their calamari, very well done...lightly fried and perfectly cooked. The portion was good too. The avacado/mango salad was delicious. The service bland, talking about the waiter who served us.

The restaurant itself is a very beautiful place. It's very roomy and you don't have to eat with other people on top of you. There is street parking but not a lot if you don't want to use the valet. The prices were reasonable and the service was pretty good. I do have to say at the recommendation of other reviews I had the zucchini chips and they were amazing. Myself and my dining partner both ordered steak and the steaks were both over done. I got the mango avocado salad and the mangos were not right but still pretty good. I would go there again but it's not a place I would be excited to go too many times. Allen all it was a decent experience the food definitely left me wanting it was not as good as I hoped it would be. I also ordered the creme brulee for dessert which really didn't taste like vanilla custard it tasted more like a plate of butter.

The restaurant ambience was nice and comfortable. The food was mediocre. Could've been better. The lamb chops were more on the dry side. If only they had a drizzle of sauce on top or cooked it with some sauce, it would've been better in my opinion. Scallops Spinach risotto was probably the best one out of all of the dishes we ordered. It wasn't as heavy on the sauce and they mixed more veggies in (which is my personal preference.) The seafood Orzo was ok, it had too much dill taste. Overall, it was an OK experience. The service was great though. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. He came over numerous times to ask us how was our food and if we needed anything else.

Went for Mother's day..they had a "special menu" pricier but not terrible overall. The food was yummy but nothing spectacular. I had grilled shrimp with risotto. Others had lamb chops, scallops, steak...all were good. Food was good but nothing to make me want to return.

Visited this place after dinner and called to check in advance whether we could do just drink and dessert and they were like “of course”. As soon as we ordered some desert and drink menu, the waiter told us “This is a restaurant. You guys should order food, but only for this time”. Me and my friends were not happy about the attitude really, but the food was great though.

I used to frequent this restaurant many many times, but now they change things around a lot. They no longer put any pita bread on the table you used to get spicy feta on the table Taziki sauce all our meals just came the way they are no bread. nothing extra big disappointment.

I don't know what all the good reviews are about. Everything was bland and overcooked and priced way too high. $5 for a diluted apple juice. The "poached" eggs were hard boiled. The potatoes (hash browns) were burned. The environment was nice and the service was good, but the food was not. Go elsewhere for brunch.

I took my friend to this restaurant for her graduation celebration and was very disappointed. The ambiance was nice the ladies room was clean whis is a big deal for me where ever I dine. I ordered crab cake for my appetizer however I canceled it and ordered a crab cake sandwich and my friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It took approximately 45 minutes before we were served . The drinks we ordered took over twenty five minutes , I walked over to the bar and asked the bartender why was the drinks taking so long to served and it wasn't busy . We began to wonder what was actually going on. Finally we were served and was even more disappointed . The sandwiches were terrible. There was no crab meat in the crab cake , all flour , and it appears to be something from a can . The grilled chicken sandwich was awful , the chicken was hard , dry and tasteless. The only thing that was edible were the fries which was actually good. Lunch AWFUL !! The worst Mediterranean restaurant I have ever been.

Just be aware that they do not know how to handle resy reservation properly and lied to me about texting me.

Absolutely terrible food. No taste, and way overpriced. Dimitri, the server, was courteous and professional. I’m a neighbor and will not be going back.
