Grappa '72 is THE best Italian restaurant in Albany! My husband and I choose Grappa '72 as our go-to restaurant for all of our special holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. The menu is full of options to choose from, and the food is always fresh, especially the calamari - it's to die for! We always have plenty of leftovers to take home with us, too. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the table settings are very formal, and every time we walk through the front door, we feel as if we have stepped into another time and place - Grappa's is first class dining for sure! They also have THE finest waitstaff in town. It is such a pleasure to be amongst professional people who exemplify what excellent customer service truly means. We always look forward to visiting Grappa's whenever we can.
Second time here & still fabulous! From the relaxing atmosphere, professional wait staff to the hard to choose from menu, we were impressed again. Had the clams in broth app which was so flavorful. The mains were really good too. The Parmesan risotto with scallops was delish & the veal dish that my husband had was great! Highly recommend.
Amazing food and amazing service! The staff is so kind and knowledgeable on any questions you may have and with me being gluten free it was so helpful. Definitely returning!
Melina was excellent...I would hire her away in a heartbeat. Food was very good.
The food here is delicious. The bruschetta I had here has never left my mind and I always look forward to it and the other meals as well. My family and I have been here several times and always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and the owner himself as well. Good guy, cares about his employees and customers. 10/10.
Great atmosphere, delicious Food, and be sure to invite some friends...
Plenty of made to order dishes, absolutely delicious Italian gourmet restaurant
The food was amazing and the prices reasonable. We all took some home. My chicken antica was even better for breakfast the next day!! The only thing I did not care for was the chairs. They all tilt back slightly and are not comfortable for a shorter person like myself. But that is just me. The guys are taller and had no issue.
Great food. Very reasonable and excellent service. Would highly recommend
Great food, service is pretty good just as you’d expect from a fine dinning experience. It’s kinda of like a hole in the wall place that exceeded all of our expectations. Not overly priced with live entertainment some nights. Very Classy, without the snobbery.
Fabulous dinner! The tables are a nice size, plenty of room for food and wine. The wait staff is attentive and very pleasant. The food is delicious. The veal chop I ordered was cooked perfectly. Dinner companion had a seafood/ pasta special that had a delicious variety of flavors. There was a terrific little band playing in the cocktail area that were surprisingly talented. A really perfect meal with great service and ambiance. Very enjoyable evening!
Sabrina gave us an exceptional experience! My friend had the fresh pasta with a light white sauce and scallops and sausage delicious! I had a sausage ricotta marinara pasta so good! The bread and complimentary olive tapenade was so good I filled up too much! Ending with the creamiest cheesecake yummy! Definitely will return and Sabrina was the sweetest and the most knowledgeable server
We love this place. The food taste phenomenal, every time we order different dishes and we never been disappointed. The staff are very nice and friendly. We 100% recommend it 👌 👍
Great Italian restaurant. Been twice for dinner on weekdays. Had a reservation and would suggest making one, but during the week, you may be okay without one. Both times, very impressed. Nice atmosphere, great staff, attentive staff, great apps, entrees, and dessert. All around, very satisfied both times I've come here. They always have some good specials too. Sienna was an awesome server.
RUN don’t walk to this establishment for your next meal or event. Just had my birthday dinner here - there were 10 of us and we were probably a lot to handle 😅 but I seriously can not say enough amazing things about this place. From the impeccable service to the fabulous drinks & the absolutely phenomenal food. The ambiance is intimate yet welcoming, making it the perfect location for any type of gathering. Also SO reasonably priced, I questioned if we had the right bill at the end of our meal. I sometimes forget about this place because of the location, but I will definitely be a regular going forward. Shout out to Katie & all contributing staff (I’m sorry I forgot names bc my espresso martini was that good😝) as well as the manager who was a pleasure, like everyone else in the building. You guys really made my night special & unforgettable. I appreciate you all ❤️
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time and I’m very glad my boyfriend and I finally made it! Amazing service and our meals, the bolognese and Vitello alla 72, were delicious. The calamari was also crispy and tender. The best part was they accidentally brought a caprese salad to our table and let us enjoy it for free, very generous for such an insignificant “mistake.” Great prices and not too loud or chaotic in there like some places that try to fit in as many tables as possible. Will be returning!
For my one and only meal in Albany, I chose Grappa 72 based on previous Google reviews. It did not disappoint. The late lunchtime crowd is small so the owner and my server were able to give me some special attention and conversation. My server recommended the gnocchi which came out the perfect temperature and with a sauce I will forever dream about, and he paired it with a lovely white wine. Afterward I needed a little something sweet. My adorable server recommended the chocolate cake. One word... ethereal! Coupled with espresso and grappa, it was a perfect end to a fantastic meal. Tucked in a non- descript strip mall, this is a must for locals and tourists alike. Buon appetito!
My Husband and I with our daughter went here for Father’s Day and I have to say it was outstanding. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming. The calamari ( The best we’ve ever had) our food was amazing. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for an amazing restaurant Grappas 72 is the perfect place to go…
My wife and I were pleasently suprised. Excellent food for a fair price with plenty of options. Atmosphere and service was also excellent. I recommend that you make reservations.
Had dinner for four Friday evening. Wonderful food, service and ambience. They even had live music, not too loud. Prices are reasonable for the excellent food, and special kudos for having a large wine list with good selections under $30 (So tired of getting hosed with 500% mark-ups on wine). We will be back!
Was in the Albany area for a few events, looking for an enjoyable dinner experience. Grappa '72 went above expectations. Excellent service, nice atmosphere (though a little more lighting would make it even better), and the food, point of it all, was delightful. Specials were indeed special, an arranging appetizer and pappardelle pasta offering. Wonderful experience.
I booked last minute for my son's birthday dinner. They accommodated us for an early reservation which worked perfectly. I asked if it was acceptable to bring our own birthday cake and they said no problem. The experience from start to finish was incredible. Our server came right over and gave us the features and took our appetizer order. The featured app was a fried cheese ball with a delectable cheese sauce which was outstanding. Dinner consisted of clams with pasta, fettuccine with a meatball, a seafood pasta, and risotto with shrimp/scallops/calamari/mussels/clams...the works. The appetizers and entrees were hot and delicious, my compliments to the chef and the cooks! By this time the restaurant was buzzing with people and live music, creating a wonderful and exciting atmosphere. To end the meal, our server brought out the birthday cake with a candle and graciously sliced us all a piece. This was our first time at Grappa and it will not be our last. Thank you for creating a memorable moment for our sons birthday, Bravissimo!
We dined here for my birthday. The food was delicious and priced well. The staff was great and very attentive. We will be back to try more of the delicious menu. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Sat at the bar and was helped by Marjos. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. The owners are such hard workers and the food is the best in America! That is no exaggeration! The wines are second to none and the Vitello alla '72 was absolutely amazing! I recommend bringing a change of pants because YOU WILL bust a nut once you try the Italian Cheesecake with fresh berries. 1000 of 10, I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!!
Who knew you could find a great restaurant in the plaza across from Westgate. Food was great, service was even better.
Victoria was wonderful. We sat out on the beautiful patio and she got the music turned on for us right away. Then she was right on top of our drinks, then extremely helpful with our dinners, and steered us in the right way!! So friendly and we can't wait to go back!! My Salmon/Lentil was delicious; husband's pappardelle with seafood (special) wonderful! The inside is lovely too and had a trio planning inside. Can't miss either way!
Amazing food, specials are always perfect. The fresh pasta is amazing and desserts are house made. Really good. Service is top notch.
Food is excellent. May be a hint of racism towards black people, however, the food didn't disappoint, so I would still recommend if you want real italian food
I tried this place for dinner tonight with the girlfriend and was quite impressed. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food portions were amazing for the cost. Down to the owner walking around and checking on tables and chairs and even talking to customers. Quick and friendly service, amazing wait staff, great food. Definitely glad I gave this place a try. Will absolutely be back!
This is easily one of the best Italian spots I’ve visited in 2025. Whether you are looking for a romantic evening or a great family dinner, this place delivers on every front. I will definitely be back!
One of the best restaurants in this area! The food was superb and our waitress, Sienna, was the best server we have ever had. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and checked on us just the right amount of times. The overall team- food runners, bussers, and everyone else worked together impeccably to ensure our meal and overall experience was excellent.
I went here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and the overall visit was very pleasant. Parking was a breeze because they had a huge parking lot upon entering the establishment we were welcomed by live music. They took a little while to seat us but once we were seated the service was great. We both ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and spinach which was delightful. My steak was a bit try but it was accompanied by a wonderful sauce. We liked that the menus they gave us were disposable in light of the pandemic and tables were distanced. We were given complementary glasses of wine as we were celebrating our anniversary. The desert was also delightful we had the cream Brulé and it was delicious.
Went here for the first time. Romantic atmosphere, All the wait staff were professional and pleasant. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Bread comes to the table with an olive and garlic spread which I didn't like just because I don't like olives. But still deserves 5 Stars. Mixed greens salad and Caesar salad were fresh and had the perfect amount of dressing. Ordered clams and linguine and Vitello Monti- a veal and shrimp dish. Expected small medallions of veal but was pleasantly surprised to get 3 sizable pieces along with Jumbo size shrimp. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to return.
One of the best restaurants in Albany, NY hands down. I come here almost once a month with my wife and am always impressed by the friendly, helpful, and professional staff. This is a family owned restaurant so most likely you will see the owner and not even notice it is him (he usually seats me)! First time I came here I ordered the Salmon and was thoroughly impressed by the way it was cooked, it almost melted in my mouth! I have since tried many other items on the menu and have come to be quite fond of the Duck. The desserts are very savory and tasty as well. I personally love the Pana Cotta and Tierre Missu ( I hope I spelled those right). Last time I was there I got the Filet Minion as an entree and the cheesecake for dessert, and as always was very satisfied. Highly recommended!
That it is a gracious secret gem in an older kind of funky strip mall. My favorite place for dinner! We have made special trips to take out the marvelous in house made desserts.
Grappa 72 was lovely! My friend and I felt so special and well taken care of at this restaurant! Our waitress was right on top of everything, checking in on us very frequently! Live music was a plus! Now the food—to die for! Some of the best seafood I’ve had since I’ve been in Albany, and I am from Maryland where we have some of the freshest. I will MOST certainly be back to visit Grappa 72!
Beautiful place and amazing food. Was in Albany visiting from Long Island and was recommend this Italian spot, awesome choice! Tried making a reservation, but it was booked lucky there was a spot at the bar. Brian the bartender was a nice guy, and served us quick. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for genuine Italian food.
I have only dined here twice so far but everything each time has been excellent. Food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch. I especially appreciate the staff here, and it's not just the servers. It's the host, bussers, runners. You can clearly see they are trained well. I've eaten in fancier establishments where this level of service was expected and was not the case. It really makes a huge difference. As of now, this is my favorite restaurant in the capital region. Great job to this place 🙌
Ive been coming here for about five years and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent, the ambiance warm and intimate, and the staff friendly and professional. I recommend the vitello con fichi. The only smal complaint I had was in the room we were in the lights were a daylight style bulb, which felt a little harsh compared to the warmer lights in the main dining room.
Best meal I've ever had in Albany. I generally find the food in New Yorks capital very lackluster. So coming across this gem has been amazing. I've been 3 times over the last year when traveling to Albany and each time has been superb.
First visit here and it was absolutely fantastic in every respect! Atmosphere, service, food ... all ON POINT! Couldn't ask for a better experience. Food was delicious and portions were incredibly generous. Multiple wait staff was quick to clear plates, refill drinks and check on things. Amazing efficient service and so friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere gives a more upscale vibe, but remains comfortable and relaxing. The prices are also amazingly reasonable to the point where we were asking ourselves how they even stay in business with such generous portions at those prices. We will DEFINITELY be returning as much as possible and can highly recommend. Just wow.
Wonderful restaurant for special occasions or to impress guests in town. Atmosphere & servers were excellent. The food was top tier in taste, I highly recommend the fettuccine bolognese. The appetizers were a bit too small but the main courses were good portions. Wine menu is extensive, but I wish they had a non-wine beverage menu.
Fine dining Italian style. This restaurant, at the end of a creepy strip mall on Central Avenue, is a hidden gem. The interior is beautiful. Little lamps on each table. Linen table clothes and napkins. Friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff. Imagine our surprise to be greeted by a live band! As you are seated, you are presented with warm bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and an olive tapenade. All delicious. We started with shrimp Bisque. It was creamy and delicious and filled with minced shrimp. We then proceeded on to arracini served with a creamy tomato sauce. These rice balls were crispy on the outside and filled with cheese. With these two outstanding appetizers, we couldn't wait for the main course. For our entree course, we ordered Pollo Arrostito and Vitello con Fichi. Pollo Arrostito is a free-range chicken with asparagus, fresh rosemary, and lemon served over mashed potatoes. The chicken fillets were tender and flavorful with a hint of lemon. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. Vitello con Fichi is veal cutlets served with figs, red onions, and thyme in a port wine reduction sauce. This is also served over mashed potatoes. The veal was cooked beautifully. This dish reminded me of veal marsala, but the figs added a sweetness and texture not found in marsala dishes. For dessert, my wife had tiramisu. She said it was excellent. Personally, I can't stand the flavor of coffee, so I'll take her word for it. I can't wait to return.
Absolutely outstanding Italian food, best I've ever had outside of The Boot (Italy) itself. Was quite busy on Friday night so reservations are recommended, they had a beautiful violinist and band playing that really let me know I was in for something good. For an appetizer/first course I ordered calamari.Ive been on a bad streak of getting sub par chewy calamari everywhere I order it but what I got here was what I've been looking for;perfectly breaded, crispy, airy, and perfectly seasoned with lemon and garlic. One of the best I've ever had, pared with a dirty martini and I was in culinary bliss. The main course was a Penne Romanov with sausage which was absolutely exceptional, the sauce was creamy and perfectly seasoned, pasta cooked perfectly and sausage brought the whole meal together perfectly. Portions were large so I was able to bring home extras and it was a real treat the next day. Service was exceptional with refills often and water bread constantly restocked. Overall couldn't be more impressed with this establishment and will spread the word and can't wait to return.
I always come here for the duck and the panna cotta... The duck here is the best in the area and consist since they opened. The potato and leek soup was also very good. My hubby got the salad, pasta special and the amaretto cherry Gelato and said it was delicious as well. I recommend all the foods here but note the bolognese here has cardimon which throws me off and the only place I don't prefer bolognese... But the duck is my fav anyways. They are also attentive to my food allergy here.
This place truly is a hidden gem off the beaten path in Albany! The service was amazing from the moment we walked in and until we left. They had a great band that highlighted the ambient atmosphere. Sienna was an excellent server with a great disposition. The food runner, Ogri, was also very fun and sweet! They both made our experience wonderful and we can’t wait to come back! The food and wine was also phenomenal!!
This was our first time at Grappa 72 and glad we went! We had a great evening from beginning to end. We chose a bottle of wine from the fairly extensive wine menu and my wife and I shared the special aranccini appetizer which was wonderful but a bit on the small side ... giving us the opportunity to have dessert! My wife had the special pasta entree with shrimp and mushrooms and I had the special entrée veal with scallops over mashed potato; both entrées were very good. We finished our meal with creme brule and carrot cake. Service was well timed and professional and the live music made for a very enjoyable evening. The drive from Malta was well worth it and we will definitely return when we get the chance.
Top Notch unassuming place! A beautiful bar, the calamari appetizer and mussels App were banging. The Amatriciana, Veal Scallopine 72, White clam sauce & Medierano Pasta dish was tasty and carefully prepared by a REAL Chef! 🇮🇹 We all LOVED it… A+++
Went for Valentines day. The staff was so attentive, no pushing you through like a lot of restaurants on a holiday. Food was AMAZING!! I give them 100 out of 100....
I love this place. That's why I chose it for my birthday with my two adult daughters and my favorite Aunt ! The food was "off the charts", the ambiance is wonderful and our server, Victoria was charming. I had a fantastic birthday.
Walked in to a great little three piece jazz band by the bar. Very cool. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very comfortable, almost to the point you don’t want to leave. The homemade bread and olive tapenade is a fantastic way to start. We had the melanzana eggplant appetizer, awesome. Entrees were penne romanoff with vodka sauce and Anthony’s pasta with sausage and meatballs, risotto frutti dimare and the risotto fungi. All were absolutely fantastic. It’s a must try if you love authentic Italian cuisine.
Wow ! This restaurant is definitely has it together. The food is extremely delicious with an assortment of different flavors , perfection! The Caesar Salad, The calamari The specials all cooked perfectly. The waitress never wrote down anything from appetizer’s to dinner to their amazing homemade desserts. She was unquestionably impressive! I highly recommend! I’m looking forward to going back again & again to try other dishes.
Grappa 72 is fantastic! So impressed that a restaurant of their caliber exists in Albany of all places. Sorry Albany, no offense! On business travel here and had dinner at Grappa 72 two times in three days because it was THAT GOOD! Had the duck (and fagioli) the first night, then the shrimp over white beans to start and the chicken saltimbocca. All four were amazing! Service (Katie) was excellent and the hostess was very sweet and welcoming. Not sure if I will ever be in Albany again but hope so just so I can eat at Grappa again!
We just had a terrific dinner at Grappa 72 in Albany. It was a family get-together for out-of-town guests the night before our friend’s son and his fiancée’s engagement party, and the restaurant couldn’t have done a better job. The food was wonderful across the board — everyone ordered something different, and somehow everything came out at the same time, piping hot, and perfectly cooked. That’s no small feat for a table of about fifteen people with all kinds of orders! I had the spaghetti amatriciana, and I asked them to add some chicken — highly recommend doing that. Delicious. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a perfect spot for a special occasion or just a really good Italian dinner. Nice work, Grappa 72 — we’ll definitely be back.
Four of us went last Saturday night. Our server , sierra, was AMAZING. The food was excellent with huge portions. Sierra knew the menu well and was able to assist us in ordering. She was also attentive throughout. I cannot be any more delighted by our experience . We will be returning soon!
An unforgettable dining experience at Grappa 72. We started with a bottle of Meiomi Pinot Noir, accompanied by fresh bread with olive tapenade, oil, and vinegar, plus perfectly crisp, flavor-packed arancini. For entrées, we enjoyed the Mahi Mahi special, a seafood risotto with scallops, and my personal favorite, the delectable chicken scallopino topped with five tender scallops. Each dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The ambiance sets the tone, smooth jazz in the background, chic décor, and a spotless, welcoming environment (even the bathrooms are immaculate). Service is truly impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive. Dessert deserves special mention. While I’m not sure if Grappa 72 is widely known for their homemade sweets, they absolutely should be. Their Tiramisu is perfection, and the strawberry-ricotta cheesecake with lemon zest is even more extraordinary. Paired with a double espresso, it makes for the perfect finale. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation, this is fine dining done right, from start to finish.
First visit to Grappa 72 with my family. What a great dining experience. Cordial staff and the owner is right there working with them. Service was impeccable, food was fantastic and it offers such a customer friendly atmosphere. Every meal (5) was wonderful and portions were more than generous. Waitress was so helpful, there when you needed her and could not ask for more knowledge of menu and friendliness. This is some of the best dining available in the Capital District, bar none. Can't wait to go back again.
First time visiting for my birthday and we had a great dinner. Beautiful restaurant and the food was great. Not only did we have great service from our server, but the back waiters and other workers that had past by were very attentive. We had a bit of a wait when we got there, understandable that can happen sometimes but when we sat down they shortly after gave us two appetizers for our table to make up for our wait. I wasn’t even expecting anything like that and I thought that was so nice to do and the fried cheese balls they gave us were so good! Also very accommodating for gluten free as I got gluten free pasta. It was my birthday and a backwaiter had noticed and brought me over a dessert for free for my birthday as well! I can’t wait to go back.
You would never know this place is adjacent to a supermarket parking lot. Has a very fancy, upscale feel. Went on a Saturday with a friend and were seated right away without a reservation. The ambiance is dark, cozy, romantic, expensive. I had the veal chop with roasted potatoes and rapini. $40 so not cheap but a sizable meal and soooo delicious and worth it. My friend got the pappardelle special with seafood and sausage in a lemon sauce and she ate most of it. Will 100% return because I want to try a lot of things from the menu.
I was really hesitant about posting this review for selfish reasons (unearthing this hidden gem), but Grappa '72's amazing staff and chef deserves their recognition! We've finally discovered the BEST Italian restaurant in the Hudson Valley Region, and we've tried A LOT of them! Heck, every one I've tried after this just doesn't compare! The food was absolutely delicious with large portions and very affordable. I'm salivating just thinking about it! I have serious food allergies and we were served by what seemed to be chef reassuring me that my food was made without any of the allergens I communicated to my waitress! What? I've never had someone go out of their way to make me feel comfortable eating my food without fear of anaphylaxis! And to top it all off, all the desserts were HOMEMADE and the quality showed through, when we thought the night couldn't have been more perfect, the bartender surprised us with a round of drinks on him! Wow! Anytime I'm in Albany I'll be making reservations!
FOOD WAS AMAZING!!(as usual) We had the Pollo saltimbuca and chicken parm, but with vodka sauce. Highly recommend. The service was slower than usual, but it was very busy. I love how all staff assist with clearing the table after courses. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Favorite Italian restaurant by far.
Since it was first time, there are WAY many more dishes we will have to experience b4 a 5 star rating (there is your grain of salt). That being said. The appetizers were spot on - portobello, tomato, and goat cheese(!!) Phenomenal flavors, the entrées were layer after layer of flavor, wine list and aperitif list were worth it and paired well. Just get to this place already, and get a reservation!! We will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Live music, great dinners with friends. The staff is always attentive providing excellent service. They can be at your arm yet invisible or engaging with Lively conversation - as you like. Extremely accommodating best to book ahead during holidays or for special occasions.
Food is always amazing. The only thing I would change is the lighting. Cold led lights especially on the left side of the dining area.
Good location off Everett rd. We had a reservation but had to wait for our table. Dining room decor was an interesting trio of salmon pink walls, turquoise accent panels and dark brown wainscoting. Menu was large and server presented specials additionally. Warm bread and tapenade were served which were both very tasty. Appetizers calamari and polenta were nicely prepared and had good flavor. Entrée course ordered was seafood risotto, linguine with clams and porchetta (which was not a traditional rolled porchetta, and in my opinion not well described on the menu as such). Portions were generous, pasta was properly cooked, but flavors just weren't there. Pork was overcooked and chewy. Truly nothing to have again or recommend in the opinions of our group. Service was absolutely the highlight of our visit to Grappa. Definitely better options out there.
Very dark, hard to see. Chairs and table were nice, comfy, and well made. Food servers were amazing - great hospitality, all our needs were met with care. However, had some allergies at our table and needed a few tweaks to the dishes, about which we called about 2 weeks ahead. The "tweaked" food was boring as if no thought was put into it and tasted like it was just thrown together on a whim from leftovers, yet charged same prices as the good food that was clearly made with love and understanding of (some) food. Shame. Alas, we will not be returning. If you have no allergies or special dietary needs, the food is great - that part of our party has nothing but accolades for the food. The pasta was very well cooked - that was the saving grace for those that had the "special" food.
Place was very busy. We had a large group - quality was not consistently good for those in our group.
I rarely give out inbetween stars...its either a 1 or a 5 for me...you either put stars in my eyes or you broke my heart! But this place is difficult to say either! I had an amazing night here....I was so stuffed from such a small portion I was left wondering what they put in the food...I was so stuffed that I had to sit at that table and drink for a while just people watching with my date and gossiping ofcourse, because there seemed to be quite a bit of M.A.G.A people that were dinning here! And thats the tea! I dont want to hear worshiping of our dictator while I savor this delicious brazen fish! The waiter Joseph (I believe) was so warm and inviting I wanted him to join us. The wine was lovely. My date was delightful! This place is a legendary staple! Its just a bit snooty!
For me, a restaurant's atmosphere is less relevant than how the food tastes. My friend had raved about the food, but my first visit at Grappa was a definite miss. My porcetta was dry and bland, and the accompanying sauce was not tasty. My friend who had previously raved, also wasn't thrilled with his veal on this night. and gave my pork the thumbs down. Maybe an off night? Seems there are other negative reviews about the porcetta though.
It was my first time coming here, I had heard great things and was excited to try it out. I made an online reservation for 7:30 the day prior for my partner's birthday dinner, but upon arriving, we were told we would have to wait at the bar and that our table was not ready yet. After over 10 minutes of waiting we were seated in the dining area and ordered our appetizer. The calamari came out quickly, but dry, like it had been sitting around for a while. This wasn’t a huge deal, and at least we had the marinara to save the flavor. Throughout the duration of our meal at least 5 different people were waiting on us, which is outrageous to me/not good service to a customer expecting a relaxed, sit down dinner without wondering who our waitress was. As I looked around the place I could see dust covering almost everything and crooked decorations on the walls. We spent about an hour and a half here, most of the time waiting on either our wine or the main courses to come out. Nearing the end of the meal, I told a waitress it was my partner’s birthday and kindly asked if the restaurant provided anything special for this. Without even the crack of a smile, the woman goes, “I can get you a desert menu”, not even glancing at my partner and seemingly dismissing that question. Everyone here besides the bartender up front seemed some shade of miserable tonight and it really put a damper on this “elegant” birthday dinner. First and last time for us, will NOT be going back again.
Went there lasnite and the food was disgusting!!1st I ordered seafood& pasta!pasta was under cooked, scallops taste terrible, and the sauce was horrible!!!then ordered the filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and spinach!the potatoes had no flavor, steak either& it was dry!soon as I got in the parking lot I started throwing my guts up!!!I will never step foot in there again!unless it’s for their bread with olive oil “& olives which, was delicious!and the patron, ginger ale, with a splash of cranberry berry juice..other then that!you couldn’t pay me to eat at this place again!!!
