Came here with a few buddies, had a great time. Cool sports bar atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks, and friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back again. 10/10

Albany’s New Hotspot 🔥 Lived in Albany my whole life, and this spot is it. The vibe is on point, drinks are top-tier, and the energy? Unreal! Shoutout to Shane behind the bar dude brings the place to life. Super welcoming, keeps the energy flowing, and knows how to make a great drink. My friends and I felt totally safe and had a blast. Everyone there from staff to crowd was just good vibes all around. If you’re looking for a new go-to in Albany, this is the one. Don’t sleep on

Opening day at Just a Bar with no noticeable glitches. It's a great location and safety is not an issue. The owners are cream of the crop and know the meaning of hospitality. This place should be a gold mine. Best of success to the owners.

Labeled as advertised opened in 2025. A real sports bar in an old elevator company building with many screens . Two floors with a great balcony and a small outset area in warmer days. No food but will soon have music . The staff is it’s best claim to fame:

I came up later on Sunday to finish watching Sunday night football. I was so happy to find a place I could come finish watching an 8:20pm NFL game! Too bad the only bartender that was on was too busy socializing, about to roll a joint while I waited to order a drink.. thankfully I could escape to the upper floor where there was no one so I could actually watch and hear the game versus feel like I was at a college party between the blasting music and reek of weed.. Definitely not the "sports bar vibe" I was expecting. Just another bar in the area.

I am disappointed to have to leave this review because I would love to support a new, local business, but this establishment overcharged me by $40 and has been unresponsive after I made multiple attempts (in person and online) to dispute the charge. I had a $20 tab, and tipped $4, but my credit card was charged for over $60. I very much hope this is noticed by management and a refund will be processed.
