This is the best deep dish pizza in the Bay Area. They have excellent cornmeal crust, which is the thing that pushes them over the top. In addition, their tomato sauce and sausage are definitely Chicago style, and this is one of the few pizza places I have found that would actually survive in Chicago

Casual but nice atmosphere. First came here to celebrate a friend’s milestone birthday in a group of 8. Been back several times for the food, location, and service. It’s one of my favorite spots to stop at on our way to San Francisco. Parking can be a little tough but you can find it (check the parking lot in the back). The pizzas are amazing, great variety, fresh, high quality ingredients. The salads and appetizers are also great. They also have a full bar if you want to get down like that 😜

Pizza and drinks are amazing. Staff is friendly and sweet. We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday here. It was so much fun. Very cool atmosphere.

We use to go to the Oakland one and discovered that there is one closer to home and just as delicious. Love the ambiance. They have a full bar, plays the games on their tv and best yet, their pizza is a place that whomever I bring instantly fall in love. This round we came for my birthday and I got a build your own with gluten free crust, they had the wings and a small deep dish build your own. Crust here is very notable. Street parking, indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve ordered through the food apps and it’s great service whether dining or picking up.

Seriously good pizza. I had both the Deep Dish and the thin, and both were excellent. The Burrata we had for an appetizer was also quite nice. I think it's the best Deep Dish in the Bay Area. Just check out the pix :)

The thin crust pizza was really great, but the deep dish pizza wasn’t very hot in the middle. It was slightly disappointing.

Most of their pizzas are good, except the carbonara pizza, which has fried eggs on it for some reason...

As a Chicagoan, I think this is pretty solid pizza! Appreciate the different size options. Server was friendly and helpful to explain the menu. Plentiful indoor and outdoor seating.

Their deep-dish pizzas were incredibly cheesy and satisfying, while the Large Spicy Baked Wings stood out with their perfectly cooked, flavorful spice. We indulged in two varieties of their deep-dish pizzas. The All Star Deep Dish pizza was a masterpiece. The crust was thick and golden, providing a sturdy foundation for an explosion of flavors. The generous layers of cheese were gooey and melty, and the toppings were abundant, adding a burst of freshness and deliciousness to every bite. Equally impressive was the Italian Combo deep-dish pizza. It boasted a perfect balance of savory meats and veggies, creating a symphony of flavors that tantalized the taste buds. *12/15/2022 The thick, golden crust held a symphony of flavors, with generous layers of gooey cheese and abundant, fresh toppings. A delicious experience that showcases their culinary expertise.

Beautiful and spacious interior, good for a family night out or a romantic couples evening. Service is excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive. The pizza were pretty good. Their signature deep dish was bursting with flavor, their cornmeal crust almost like a crunchy cornbread biscuit. The thin crust chicken pesto was a bit disappointing in comparison. Pretty decent, especially the pesto, but the chicken a little dry and the crust a little overbaked. Overall a good experience for both lunch and dinner.

Pizza is delicious... Service is ok... We go there for happy hour (ends @ 5:30) for the personal size pizza special. Too often they 'run out of the personal size' and so we pay full price for the 9" which it seems they have plenty of. Is this a bait and switch? It happens too often.

Little Star Pizza serves genuinely great pizza — excellent crust, flavor, and quality. Staff and service were solid, and the food itself deserves high marks. My rating is lower because the surrounding parking enforcement situation significantly affected the experience. I received a $50 parking ticket during my visit, which effectively became an added cost on top of the meal. That turns what should be a relaxed dining stop into a time-pressured one. I understand the restaurant does not control city parking rules, and this is not a complaint about the staff or food. It’s about the overall customer experience in the area. Because of this experience, I will not be visiting Albany businesses for the next six months — including restaurants, shops, fuel stops, and specialty stores — and will choose Berkeley instead, where the parking expectations feel clearer and more predictable. If the parking environment changes, I’d return. The pizza is worth it.

Ordered the happy hour meatballs they tasted alright . The wings awesome. The pizza was good as well. Beers on happy hour ipa. The waitress not that good. Had to track her down every time we needed something. They were not busy. Other waitress had more customers and was on her toes. Men’s bathroom was broken. Next time I’ll just order to go.

Pizza very good. Service terrible. There were only about 5 or 6 customers in dining room when we got there and only 1 person waiting tables. We were ignored when we got in the door and a sign said please wait to be seated so we had to stand longer that was comfortable for us. It took too long to get the pizzas we ordered and they were not hot. Then it took a long time to get the bill so couldn't leave when we wanted. We tried to get the attention of someone but no one was in dining room for some time. We might do an order to pick up but we will never eat inside again.

Remarkably disappointing Caesar salad and meatball deep dish pizza, which had half a meatball per slice. Service was slow and inattentive.
