In the quieter corner of Little Italy, NYC, lies a hidden gem that subtly beckons to the wine and cheese aficionado. It's a wine bar that is an offshoot of the famed Di Palo Italian grocery store, and it quietly upholds the heritage and standards set by its parent establishment. At this wine bar, the first thing that captures your attention is the extraordinary assortment of fine Italian cheeses. They have the classics like Parmigiano Reggiano, Burrata, and Mozzarella, but also an exciting range of regional Pecorinos that are worth exploring. Each cheese is sourced with care, boasting of authenticity and a deep, delightful flavor profile that lingers. Their charcuterie board is another standout. It is a great value for money, offering a variety of fine meats that pair perfectly with their cheese selection. It's an inviting platter that encourages you to slow down, sip your wine, and savor each bite. And speaking of bites, the panini sandwiches here deserve a special mention. The Classic and the Traditionale, in particular, are must-tries. The focaccia bread has an exceptional crust that gives way to a generous layer of meats and fillings, evoking memories of famous sandwich shops nestled in the narrow lanes of Florence. The wine list is a well-curated ode to Italy's rich wine heritage. From Northern Barbarescos and Central Italian Chiantis to more experimental natural wines from the coastal plains of Mount Etna in Southern Italy, the selection is vast and inviting. Each wine has been carefully chosen, a testament to the owners' commitment to offering an authentic Italian wine experience. The Di Palo wine bar is an underappreciated treasure in Little Italy. It offers a warm and intimate setting, a welcome reprieve from the bustling city streets. Here, you're encouraged to take your time, to delve into the rich variety of Italian wines and cheeses, and to enjoy the simple pleasures of good food and drink. If you're seeking a slice of Italy amidst the skyscrapers of NYC, the Di Palo wine bar is a must-visit. It's a place where tradition meets sophistication, creating a dining experience that is as comforting as it is refined. So next time you're in Little Italy, don't just pass by. Step in, grab a glass of wine, and savor the Italian tradition in every bite and sip.

One of the best-kept secrets in the area! Quiet, vibey spot for people who appreciate good drinks, quality bar snacks at a fantastic value ($25 for five meats/cheeses of your choice at grocery prices?!) And comfy seating. Perfect for heart-to-heart catch up sessions, chill birthday celebrations and friend get-togethers for people who value connection over hype. There's never a wait, and there's a semi-private area that's even quieter for larger gatherings or a more intimate setting. The vibe is like a cozy living room or library you can eat and drink in. You can't go wrong with any of the options on the menu, and the staff are all so kind without hovering.

Felt like we flew to Italy for the night - the owner greeted us and gave us a brief history of the Dipalo family in NYC and their cheese production. Great prices, house wines $9 and 4 pieces of crostini for $6, made with their freshly produced cheeses. They also offered an off menu pizza if you wanted something more substantial but you definitely won’t leave hungry! Can’t wait to come back again and again.

Truly a hidden gem for date night or any type of celebration. Some of the best wine I’ve had, which paired well with the traditional panini. The service was excellent. They have something good going.

Went next door first and the owners told us about this Wine Bar. Amazing vibes, amazing food. The paninis were SPECTACULAR! Ordered Classic with peppers and my memories took me to my grandma’s kitchen. The cheese and prosciutto were super fresh and from italy. As an Italian family member I can say it was worth every second. Rene was our server and the server for the whole bar and he is so sweet and nice!!! Definitely coming back again

The best charcuterie board you can find in the city! The waiter gave great recommendations for wine and meats and cheese. We had a great wine they selected for us from Calabria and a cheese we would have never picked out that we loved. Will absolutely be back!!

Best Italian wine bar in the city! We met the owner, and even the wine maker. All their wines are highest quality and the food is amazing. Highly recommended!

We stumbled into C. di Palo today and it turned into one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. This tiny, unassuming spot near Little Italy is truly a treasure. We tried five of their incredible cheeses — each one unique and delicious — and they helped pair the perfect wine for me and a fantastic beer for my husband. The owner is the sweetest gentleman, full of knowledge about Italian wine and fine cheeses. He took the time to chat with us, sharing stories and teaching us about the different regions and traditions behind what we were tasting. It felt like a personal tour of Italy right from the counter! If you love authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and discovering local “hole-in-the-wall” gems, this place is a must-visit. We would recommend this to anyone visiting New York and wanting a glass of wine and charcuterie and authentic Italian experience. Also this Italian family just celebrated their 100th year of business!!

Family owned wine bar. Great selection of wines that pair deliciously with their meat and cheese boards or panini (highly recommend the Classic!) The brick and wood aesthetic lends to a warm, cozy feeling while the music adds to the ambience. This place is a definite must go!

Five star everything. Wine recommendation on point. Bathrooms super clean as well as the rest of the restaurant. Charcuterie was so amazing. The atmosphere complemented the food to a T. There are really not enough superlatives for this place. (Also super value for $$). Bring a large group or just a date or sit by yourself at the bar it will be an amazing experience. We were visiting friends/family and are from Canada can’t wait to go back.

My friend and I stopped into C Di Paulo after dinner. It’s tucked away in Little Italy and has a very unassuming vibe, though it definitely gets busy. We kicked things off with a charcuterie board—$30 for five selections of meats and cheeses. We went with mortadella (my absolute favorite), hot soppressata, prosciutto, speck, and one cheese. Everything was solid and well put together. The service was on the slower side since there was only one server, but he was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations. I started with a glass of prosecco, and we eventually split a bottle of wine. Overall, C Di Paulo is a charming spot for a nightcap. Just keep in mind they close on the earlier side at 11 PM.

Perfectly nice staff and place. But calling this a wine bar seemed far from accurate. Very limited choices and was pretty disappointed.
