Opinions de Da Nicola Via Bartolomeo Guidobono
Da Nico was great, we visited yesterday and it did not disappoint, the service was excellent, food delicious and at the right temperature, we had: Bruschetta (10/10) Lasagna (10/10) Spaghetti with meatballs (10/10) owe you the picture. The gave us Zeppole as a compliment on the house. The price was extremely good, our servers were great and attentive with excellent customer service. Great place overall that we will visit again.
Walking through Little Italy in NYC and likely you will experience hustlers trying to get you in their restaurants. Not Da Nico. Because they dont need to. Their tradition of excellent food and superior service says it all. We include Da Nico on every visit to NYC. Dont skip the veal. It is legit extraordinary. Come hungry.
Really OUTSTANDING food and service. Multi-generation restaurant. Definitely a “do not miss”. The Cacio e Pepe is probably the best in NYC! The owners are almost always around to visit with too.
I came here a few months ago with some friends who have extremely discerning taste when it comes to Italian food. Very impressed. The wine list was amazing. The food was really incredible. The service was spot on. And the restaurant is gorgeous. I highly recommend Da Nico.
My favorite Italian restaurant in NY. The ceaser salad is perfectly tangy. The meatballs are big and flavorful. My mom loves the eggplant, whatever way she orders it. Although my favorite thing, and reason we come here, the gnocchi. I get it with vodka sauce. The gnocchi are like fluffy pillows in your mouth. The vodka sauce is perfectly creamy and just delicious. My boys are partial to the wood fired pizza and fresh bread. Hands down best spot in Little Italy!
Loved Nico's, the lasagna was spectacular and my mom ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it was delicious as well. I had a lichee martini, scrumptious. They also give you these dessert that is complementary, like fried donut centers would be the closest I can imagine to describe it. Definitely a must if you in little Italy.
My boyfriend took me here because apparently it was one of Tony Soprano’s favorite restaurant. Kind and quick service. Great food. Large, beautiful back patio, could be a good place for a large party. They even give you free bignets at the end of your meal! Would definitely go back. Also on mulberry street which is super cute.
well, I stumbled onto this little Jewel box of an Italian restaurant that's family owned in the heart of little Italy during a festival!!! I had a Caesar salad that was super yummy. Great dressing, fresh Parmesan and I had those fettuccine noodles with the Bolognese sauce. This was a half portion and it was filling and so tasty and yummy. I had a nice Merlot with it and loved sitting outside on the patio, watching all the people and families enjoy their meals and have conversations. Absolutely great service not just at my table, but in watching them take care of their clients, I felt like it went a long way.
Di Nico was an absolute gem! Our group of nine, visiting from DC, California, and Texas, had an amazing experience with impeccable service and mouthwatering Italian dishes. The pasta bolognese and lasagna were standouts, definitely worth a try if you're in New York! ❤️Ivan server is the best
We had a party of 11 all with carry on bags and the hostess was still willing to seat us comfortably in an area where we could spread out without any complaint - in fact she suggested the room when we had mentioned sitting out of the way outside. The server was great also with good menu suggestions and attentiveness. As good as the service and atmosphere though - the food was the star of the show for sure! Definitely recommend and can’t wait to get back to town to eat here again !! Even ended dinner with a great cup of cappuccino!
This is the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The chicken, sauces, pizzas and pastas were all great. The service was very good—they brought us extra waters and breads as soon as we finished them without us even asking! Complimentary dessert was a pleasant surprise. Oh and the best part was the outdoor seating on a quiet, car-free street in the heart of Little Italy; it was a beautiful environment.
My visit to Da Nico Ristorante was an incredible experience. The place is just a cozy, authentic Italian spot. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the chicken Parmesan, pasta a la vodka, and shrimp in a spicy red sauce, and honestly, everything was just perfect. They also have an extensive wine selection, which was great with our meal. The staff was super attentive and friendly. Our waters never went empty, and they were always there when we needed something. The prices are also really reasonable, which is a huge bonus, especially for New York City. I would definitely recommend Da Nico to any lover of Italian food. I'll for sure be back soon! Pro Tip: If it's a nice day, ask to see the seating out behind the restaurant. The beautiful little courtyard is a great place to grab some lunch or dinner.
The food was absolutey delicious. We paid a total of $100 for the dishes in the photo. Dessert was complimentary. You can be sure about the taste - we loved it! I can definitely recommend this place, If you're looking for elegant and flavorful dishes, this is a spot you should visit.
My family of 5 just went to Da Nico’s and we all loved it!! We had reservations to sit in the garden but due to the extreme heat the garden was closed. They seated us upstairs at a great round table which was actually a blessing; we needed the a/c. The restaurant itself was charming. It’s old school, classic Italian which feels very comfortable. The staff was amazing! Our waters never went empty; they kept coming by to refill and there was always someone available to grab whatever we needed. Onto the food…. Amazing!!! My children are 12, 14, and 15, with different levels of pickiness and my husband is Italian and is used to his grandmother’s cooking. Everyone loved everything we ordered🙌. We started out with the fried mozzarella and the bruschetta. I was surprised at how much all the kids loved the fried mozzarella given that it was real mozzarella cheese; we aren’t talking breaded mozzarella sticks. The bruschetta was fresh and delicious. For our meals we ordered a couple chicken Parmesans, pasta a la vodka, shrimp in a spicy red sauce, and a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese with a coating over it. Everything was AMAZING!!! It was perfection! The best part was how reasonable the prices are! We are talking NYC where you pay way too much for overrated food. This was delicious food at a reasonable price. Every meal was under $30 which is hard to find even in the suburbs of Massachusetts where we are from. My wine was $15/glass and my husband’s beer was $10 each. It was so refreshing to get out of the over priced tourist traps and have a delicious meal worth every penny! We will definitely return!
When it comes to NYC Italian, stop right here. Where do I begin? From the moment you enter the restaurant — no, before you enter. When you start to approach the entrance, you feel as if you’ve been taken back to 1960s NYC, with the Rat Pack, lively music, the smell of Nonna’s cooking, smiles, warmth, a welcoming staff, and a beautiful atmosphere. We sat outside in the “garden.” Highly recommend. The appetizers were delicious. Bruschetta was brought to us without even asking. To die for. Light, airy, fresh, and flavorful. The stracciatella soup - total comfort. The caesar salad was off the charts. The meatballs were incredibly delicious. The fettuccine alfredo was unlike any other due to its authentic, made-from-scratch taste. The veal parmesan- incredible. My chicken piccata was so tasty, I almost wanted to lick my plate. To end our meal, our server graciously brought us warm zeppole sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was a wonderful experience and one that my son will not forget as he has since declared Italian food his favorite. Best of all, you are treated as an honored guest. LITTLE ITALY, BIG FLAVOR at Da Nico’s. Bellissimo!
Great service and the salmon special was incredible! Our first time in New York, and what an experience!

They have a cute outdoor garden patio to eat in that was closed so we sat on the street. Great for people watching! The food was delicious as usual. The service was not great. We waited quite a while between getting waters and having someone take our order and I had to flag someone down anytime we needed anything. Everyone just walked by without even glancing at the table or us. The grilled octopus was so good I dove right in so my picture is of it mostly gone, I promise, it was a much larger portion than that! The pizza had a great crust. The drinks were strong but tasty. This is a frequent stop for us when we are in Little Italy. The Zeppole was on the house after our meal, a nice touch.

The food was delicious and tasted great! I didn't like the service. To start with, the person who brought us to the table was grumpy. The waiter was friendly, but we had to ask for bread when the food we ordered arrived because it hadn't been brought. We waited about 30 minutes for the bill to pay, and he never brought us a refill of water, which is what we drank. The atmosphere was very quiet.

Booked a table for my daughter’s birthday some weeks ango after seeing the reviews. The day before they sent me a message asking me if I were going to turn up which I replied to.. just a shame they couldn’t tell me they were going to be closed that day after we’d made the effort through the snow to get there… Poor show to be honest, we ended up in Grotta Azzurra just up the road, pure class fabulous service and comes highly recommended from us travelling UK folk. Shame on you Da Nico, get your crap together as this is no way acceptable.

Da Nicola: A Pizza Spot's Unexpected Salmon Star in New York
I’ve been meaning to tell you about Da Nicola, this spot on Via Bartolomeo Guidobono. Now, you might see “pizza” listed as its main gig, but let me tell you, there’s more to this place than meets the eye – or the menu, for that matter. It’s the kind of place that leaves you with a bit of a head-scratcher, but in an interesting way. Many folks, especially those just passing through New York for the first time, have found themselves utterly charmed by Da Nicola. They rave about the overall expe...
