We had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend the lobster ramen, spicy pork ramen, and fluke (pictured). Special chicken sandwich is a must as well. The flavors in each dish were so unique and blend so well together. Also, we cannot say enough good things about our waiter, Kai. He was not only knowledgeable and attentive, but it was a pleasure to chat and get to know more about the restaurant and himself. Can’t wait to go back.
Toro Ssam Bap was my favorite — we even added an extra $30 for the uni, and it was worth it. We also ordered the fried chicken, which came with caviar and a lemon dressing. The lemon juice was a bit too strong for my taste, but the ribs were delicious. Another favorite was the mushroom ramyun — I actually liked it more than the lobster myun. The lobster myun broth was a bit too heavy for me, though the lobster itself was cooked perfectly. Service was attentive.
Top 10 restaurant in NYC. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, this was a truly special meal. Each dish has layers of flavor and is seasoned perfectly. Come hungry and with a crew so you can explore the menu!
One of my favorite restaurants in the city if not my favorite. I keep coming back here when reservations are available. Noodles are amazing, but the appetizers are even better. Toro ssambap and ribs are a must and probably some of the best bites Ive ever had. Dessert is also a must order but seems they change it from coffee to chocolate soft serve seasonally.
We spent three days trying to get into Jeju while visiting NYC—walking in, joining the waitlist, and checking Resy—and finally snagged counter seats on our last night. So glad we did! The effort was absolutely worth it. The ramyun was rich, creamy, and packed with tender pork belly—easily the best I’ve ever had. I also appreciated the gluten-free noodle option. Highly recommend dining here if you get the chance—just be sure to book ahead. Only downside was the service: both the hostess and server could’ve been a bit warmer. I get that it’s a busy spot, but a friendlier vibe would go a long way.
Everything about Jeju is incredible. Every dish was amazing, and it was clear a lot of effort went into perfecting each one. The ambience was great, and the staff was very attentive and kind. Very cool merch too. Highly recommend this spot
Loved our entire experience at Jeju Noodle. Our server Chang was amazing. He had great attention to detail and we loved all of his menu recommendations. But you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items here! The service was amazing, food top notch, ambience felt cozy and exclusive. Highly recommend!
Overall rating: 4.7 Price: $131 pp w/ tip I went here years ago before it got popular & had good ramen. This time, I went with friends & tried all the popular dishes. Not going to lie, some of it fell very flat. The service was super nice though! Here’s my opinion of what we ordered: - Toro Ssam Bap: 5/5 worth it - Jeju fried chicken: 5/5 completely underrated - Lobster Myun: 3.5/5 meh - Ceviche: 3/5 didn’t do it for me - soft serve: 4/5 delicious
Very impressed with all the modern Korean restaurants in NYC. We have more Korean in LA but I've only managed to go to more traditional or washed places so far. These have been more experimental and it's exciting to taste the evolution. Most importantly, they remember to make things taste good. Odd to say, but a lot of things look better than you'll ever remember. Our favorites were the ssam bap, tonkatsu (impressively tender and juicy), pork spare ribs were also very tender and meaty with that sweet galbi flavor, and the wagyu ramyun (meat was perfectly thin and tender, not the star or a gimmick but a complement to the broth and noodles). Caviar wasn't necessary, but another nice complement. We got late (9PM+) reservations just a few days before, but you should try to grab them weeks before if you're picky about your time slot.
First timer. Definitely coming back. Been hearing about this place from my friend and finally got the chance to try. What i ordered: Jeju chicken sandwhich. Amazing Amberjack. Out of this world Toro ssamba with uni. So so good. Family ramen. Great ramen. The broth was a bit too salty for my taste, but the ingredients were yummmm I want to come back next time to order some of the other noodles they offer. Reservations are 30 days in advance and hard to get, so whenever that happens
A delightful experience! The young gentleman with the fashionable perm and pretty smile was so very kind and gave wonderful service. The food came out in an orderly manner and met every expectation you would have for a reoccurring Michelin star winning restaurant. The wagyu slices were tender and the ribs sweet and savory. The selection of entrees came out to be quite eye-catching and can only be described as a work of art in itself. Even the water tasted exceptional, but that is perhaps because I’ve been saving my appetite for this dinner. The dessert, chocolate soft serve ice cream topped with sea salt caramel and truffles, perfectly balanced sweet and salty that left a nice chocolate-y but not too sweet after taste by the time we walked out the restaurant. If I had to choose a favorite dish tonight, it would be the toro ssambap. The rice, meat, corn, orange sauce (not sure what but very delicious), and caviar paired very nicely with the seaweed and had a wonderful flavor profile that reminded me of gimbap. The atmosphere itself is dimly lit and sensible. I have no complaints with any part of the experience and I would recommend this place to every person I know!!
Best food I ever had ! Went here for my 1 year anniversary and it was the best choice we ever made. Please do reservations before hand thankfully that’s what me and my significant other did. They are so nice and immediately called him back ( might’ve been luck honestly) Food 10/10 We had the white wine as a little celebration tasted so good !
Once again, Jeju hits it out of the park. Every element of the dining experience was superb. Our waiter was excellent guiding us through the menu (I’m so sorry I forgot his name). We started the evening with a bottle of wine and the ceviche. While my friends got the popular Gochu Ramyun (a former favorite of mine), I opted to try the Family Ramyun to get a little more seafood flavor. You cannot go wrong with the menu and the service always delivers. Cannot wait to visit again!
Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected a Michelin Ramen restaurant to be as impressive, decadent, and overall as incredible as this meal was. The food, service, and ambiance were all 12/10. Patrick and Jason ensured our experience was one to dream about! The wine pairing with our courses didn’t skip a beat. Don’t sleep on the toro appetizer, truffle scallop, fried chicken and waygyu and lobster ramen! Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely amazing birthday dinner! Service was some of the best we’ve had - our waiter was incredible nice and on top of everything. Their food was incredible and very reasonably priced for a Michelin starred restaurant! Their toro ssambap was one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever eaten and their mushroom ramen was so creative with the best ramen broth I’ve ever tasted. I can’t recommend Jeju enough!
Jeju Noodle Bar delivers an exceptional dining experience that perfectly balances comfort and sophistication. The wagyu ramen stands out with its deeply rich, umami-packed broth that feels both indulgent and refined. The toro spam bap is a creative twist that hits all the right notes—silky, savory, and perfectly balanced. The lobster myun is another highlight, offering layers of flavor that showcase both technique and quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the service is warm and attentive without feeling overbearing, and the ambiance is modern yet inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed but memorable meal. Overall, Jeju Noodle Bar more than lives up to its reputation. P.S. their merch was really cute but we were bummed to find out they were not for sale :-(. We will be back!
I must say for a Michelin restaurant the price was so decent. Especially they shave lots of truffles on the scallops dish that’s so tasty. And some caviar dishes they serve a good amount of caviar as well. We love all of the dishes that we ordered lol. We made rsvp so we got in with no wait. Rsvp totally recommended since they can get booked up. It was a walking distance from our hotel. A little less than a mile. So wasn’t bad at all. Our waiter Drew was very nice to us. He came around checked on us quite often. If I ever come back to NY again I totally would come back
Amazing food and service! I walked in on a Saturday evening, right before the dinner rush. They had seats at the bar and were able to accommodate me. This was pretty generous of them, considering they were fully booked for the eventing. My server was excellent and I did not wait long at all for the food to come out. Nice ambiance/vibe with trendy music going on in the background. Food was delicious! I will for sure be coming back and recommending to friends!

It's wonderful that you have a fantastic selection of wines paired with delicious food. The TORO SSAM BAP and HWE NENG-MYUN were my personal favorites. I'm glad you had such a great experience.
Jeju Noodle Bar is amazing. The food is fresh and healthy. The meal was delicious. Great team and professional staff. Nice place.

Not sure how this place has a michelin star. Don't get me wrong, it's good food, but not on par with other 1 stars. Ramen is probably one of my favorite dishes ever and I've tried it all around the globe - the one here is just decent, far from being outstanding... The truffle scallop was the only dish that was worth the trip.

Final Verdict: Like the other reviews I’m also wondering how did they get one Michelin Star? The flavor profiles here are flat—either aggressively salty or lacking seasoning entirely. I’m truly puzzled as to how this retains a Michelin star in a city as competitive as New York We started with the Toro Ssam Bap with Uni. While the quality of the fish was apparent, the dish lacked the complexity you’d expect at this level. It was "fine," but ultimately forgettable. The meal went downhill with the Jeju Fried Chicken. It was subpar compared to almost any dedicated Korean fried chicken spot in the city. Worse, our serving arrived with feathers still on the chicken. The accompanying sauce was overly salty. The Ribs had a decent sear but were flavorless and overly soft internally. The Pork Ramyun was a major disappointment; the broth lacked any real "soul" or depth, tasting mostly of salt. The inclusion of wood ear mushrooms felt misplaced, and the pickled cabbage introduced a sourness that clashed with the rest of the bowl. Lastly, the Ocean Trout was served over a mushy, wet base that was again too salty, and we were constantly picking out bones.
I have been wanting to go here for so long, and I finally made the trip with 2 others. I was severely disappointed.\n\nFirstly, the service wasn't bad but nothing outstanding, so no points taken of…
A Server’s Thumb in the Ramen We spent $406 before tip for two people, and because reservations are difficult to get, we ordered broadly to experience the menu, three appetizers and four ramens. The appetizers were good, and it was clear the chef put real care and effort into the food. That made what followed even more disappointing. When the ramens were served, the pacing felt rushed. Instead of bringing out two bowls first and the remaining shortly after, all four were delivered at once, which took away from the experience. More concerning was the service. As the bowls were transferred from the tray to our table, the server, Martin B, soaked his thumb in the ramen twice. Seeing this happen repeatedly completely overshadowed the chef’s hard work. We continued eating out of respect for the kitchen, but this should never happen. Of course, we could not finish four bowls of ramen. We asked the server, Martin B, if the noodles and broth could be packed separately so the noodles would not absorb all the broth and become soggy. He refused and said everything would be packed together. At that point, the experience became almost laughable. I have attached a photo showing how pathetic the leftover ramen was packed. For a one Michelin star restaurant, this level of care is unacceptable. The overall service felt cold and unwelcoming. One manager, the tall younger manager wearing a Jeju sweater, appeared disengaged and showed no warmth or hospitality. Another manager was noticeably kinder and more approachable, but unfortunately that warmth was the exception rather than the norm. We are a well traveled couple who have dined at many Michelin star restaurants and stayed at five star hotels around the world. Having front of house service like this is genuinely sad, especially knowing how much hard work the chef and owner clearly put into the food, likely without realizing what was happening on the floor. That alone made us feel we would not return, no matter how delicious the food was. In the food industry, food and service go hand in hand. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed the kitchen’s hard work.
This was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in New York, and the first time I’ve felt the need to write a negative review. I genuinely do not understand how this restaurant has earned a Michelin star. We made a 5:30 PM reservation based on multiple recommendations. The atmosphere was lovely, and the host was very welcoming, which initially set high expectations. However, once seated, the service fell well below standard. Our server did not introduce himself(which is fine but there was also no indication that he would be our server) None of our dishes (toro ssambap, yukhoe salad, gochujang ramyun) were explained when served, and there was no check-in throughout the meal. Meanwhile, the table next to us was checked on multiple times, which made the lack of attention toward our table feel particularly uncomfortable. The only positive service moment came when a different server brought dessert and provided a proper explanation. Unfortunately, shortly after, our original server abruptly placed the payment device on our table without us requesting it. This was especially confusing, as we had been seated for less than an hour and there was clearly no wait for tables. I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but this experience stood out for the wrong reasons. The space has potential, but the inconsistency and lack of basic hospitality do not reflect the reputation or recognition of this restaurant.
The truffle scallops and the lobster ramen were far too salty. My friend and I could barely eat them and had to rinse the food with water just to get a few bites down. When we mentioned this to the server, we were told that this was “salty as expected”. The service was also very poor. No one proactively refilled our water, and no action was taken regarding the dishes we were unhappy with. We were not informed of the last call either. Our table was located near the entrance, and there was a strong draft. Every time the door opened, cold air came in, making it quite uncomfortable to sit there. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
I really wanted to like this place, but I am so disappointed. For starters, I had a massive hair in my noodle. When I sent it back they sent back the same bowl. They took over an hour to get our appetizers. We ordered at 7:10 and we received our appetizer at 8:10. Then they gave us our mains at 8:20, they forgot one order, and I got my “new bowl”at 8:30. At 8:45 they tried to kick us out for a new table! It was a comedy show. The manager is incredibly rude and dismissive, forcing the poor waiter to kick us out right after taking our second order of drinks! The food itself is overhyped and targeted to non-Korean people. Small details like sake instead of soju, because all asians are the same I guess. If you love korean food, this may not be the place for you. If you like the idea of having “fancy asian” food, perfect place for you for the cheap cheap price of $500.00. Which in all honestly may be the lowest value for money for a meal in my life.
