Amazing coffee, even better food and the Best service hands down!

When we first came to the district, it’s difficult to locate the cafe. Second stage, we finally walked past but thought it’s just a to-go cafe. Finally we visited it today. There are actually some seats and can see commuters walking by. The coffee is excellent, nicely presented for here. Staff super friendly and will definitely come again.

Tried 14 coffee shops in my stay in new York. This was by far my favorite. Phenomenal price. Phenomenal presentation. Great quality beans. Great vibe. The owners were wonderful with great recommendations and clear care for their product. A fidi staple and a must visit

Very fresh and amazing quality of beans!

You have to step just inside the subway station to find this spot, but don’t sleep on it. Gorgeous, respectfully prepared coffees, and unique, fresh food options. I had a perfect cortado (although they had some interesting custom drinks), and the Greek forest bowl with yogurt, fresh fruit and avocado sauce (!). In a sea of chains, what a bright spot.

Jacob Nadelman

Great light roast espresso. Location is a bit hard to find but that makes it feel special and hidden in a good way.

Delicious coffee in what felt like a calm, secret cove in the heart of FiDi. Service was excellent. Bought beans to go and will return!

R

Great coffee shop. The Barista Breakfast (shot, cappuccino, and drip) is fun and tasty. House-made nut milk is excellent. Friendly knowledgeable baristas and great little snacks too. Really nothing to not love about this spot!

Cold brews were delicious (they kindly gave samples of each)-i highly recommend the light roasts! Sandwiches were also great :)

What a neighborhood gem, tucked away on 110 William St (you can go through the building’s lobby and down the stairs to find it). Great food (the mango avocado toast especially is delicious and a healthy portion - love the chili oil on top), delicious coffee, and the service is so kind. It’s clear that everything is made with love and a lot of attention. Could not recommend enough!

L
Lax Chandra

Great coffee. Definitely best for those who want an elevated cup. The barista (owner) lets you smell the ground coffee which is a nice touch. They know their coffee. A little hard to find but worth the search. Also I dropped an expensive cup of coffee making a big mess. They were extremely gracious and nice about it. And made me an additional cup.

Randomly found this hidden gem when I was leaving the subway. I’ve lived in FiDi and never saw this place. The staff was so nice and helpful. The barista made the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had and it was beautiful. He really cares. The cherry on top was their toast. The girl making it was putting in the effort and you can taste it! Wow, this is my new go to cafe!

One of the best coffee shops in the city and arguably has the best avocado toast as well! Accessible through the 110 William St building, there are signs so it's easy to find! So happy they are still open during all this construction.

Amazing coffee right in the subway station. Feels like you are in Tokyo. Their parfait with Kiwi and Grapefruit is amazing. croissants are great and fresh every day

Hidden at a station corner, the store has great aesthetics. The coffee tastes amazing (as someone who’s picky with coffee and tried so many places around the world) and the service is so friendly. 5/5

Been meaning to try this place for awhile, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in! Such friendly service and vibes. Their mocha is amongst the best I've ever had; dark chocolate, not too sweet, and smoooooth. Also bought some of their beans that had been roasted a couple days before, sublime! So happy to have found a new regular spot.

BLUF: to find Voyager from street level, enter office building at 110 William St., and just after front desk you’ll see glass doors to subway stairs on your right. One level down on your left. My new go-to coffee shop for high quality third wave coffee below canal. In same tier as blank street, la colombe, variety, etc, but the service is outstanding. The owners are super friendly and generous. I buy a bag of their very freshly roasted retail beans every time (will not buy from Think ever again). I’m now considering a subscription…

Q
Quiara Hudes

Warmth and excellence. If I found this spot, presided over by the wonderful Will and Angely, anywhere in the world, I’d feel it was a treasure. Treat yourself to a drink at Voyager and let time slow down for a moment and soften that hard NYC armor!

Great cafe, didn’t expect at all! I had a black americano and pumpkin porridge, my friend had filter coffee and mango avocado toast. We were both so happy with our food! The staff here were lovely and very helpful as well. Really glad that we found this gem.

By far my FAV coffee shop in NY. I can’t say enough great words about this spot. First off, I saw a review that said you’ll kiss the coffee shop bc it’s tucked away and sure enough, I missed it. I called and the person on the phone guided me to the shop, turn by turn. They’re underground in a building near a subway. When I got there I realized it was the owner who was super nice! FOOD: I came for the coffee, which was AMAZING. I ordered the house blend espresso with the homemade vanilla syrup. I bought a bag of the house blend to go and would have purchased the syrup if I could have. I also tried a lavender drink which was delicious. The presentation is also super cool. Service: I wish I could give more stars. I explained what I liked and then made it. I also talked about my love for coffee and they explained each roast they had in store, the origin and also gave me a quick lesson on how coffee beans are roasted. I sat in the coffee shop for a few hours while I waited to go to the airport. As ppl came and went, it was clear that they treat every customer as family. Most ppl who stopped in, the owner knew by name and their usual order. A very modern mom and pop coffee shop. Atmosphere: super chill and reserved. A nice quiet spot to read and/or work.

Amazing coffee and hojicha lattes. The service is top notch and baristas are so friendly. You can tell they love what they do.

Do yourself a favor and find this place. You go through the doors of the office building, then you make a right and go through another set of doors, then you go down the stairs, through another set of doors and hang a left down the alleyway, across from the (surprise!) subway entrance, that's pretty much unmarked. The coffee is made with pure love and dedication to the process. I had a cappuccino, my partner had a pour over. Both were served with refreshing sparkling water. We shared an avocado toast. First, the prices were amazing, second, the portion was great, and third, the coffee was totally out of this world. This is the kind of place that regulars come to and talk about the coffee making process and spend a while chatting about life, the universe, and everything. The people that work here are obviously passionate, and so are the customers. This places is a gem, I'm so glad we trekked down to find it.

I scored these lovely pieces of banana bread on this cold windy day in this underground spot which is tucked into a clean, marble-walled subway tunnel. Scored, because I got them at a discount via the Foodforall app on the way home, just as the shop was closing. So glad to rescue these from the trash, help support myself and this small business, all in one small gesture.

E
Edison Huang

This is for our experience here back in March 2023. Took us awhile to find this coffee spot since it’s underground and we’re just unfamiliar tourists. However, this coffee shop is worth the journey. The setup is great. The folks working here are nice. We only tried their drinks so can’t speak for the food. We’d definitely come back if we ever end up in NYC again.

What a cool coffeeshop under ground in the subway terminal! Friendly staff, they knew their local customers well... very accommodating. Coffee was good and fairly priced, distributed in a creative and cute beaker set up.

S
Sheila Murray

Such a gem! Excellent, friendly service. Delicious coffee and options to grab breakfast & lunch. Since it’s in a train station, it’s an ideal choice while on the go but I actually hung around to read in the shop for a while. There are charging outlets and little nooks to work in, which I appreciated in between meetings. Highly recommend stopping through !

E
Ettore Michelin

Lovely, family-run coffee shop! A real hidden gem as it is on the way out of the Subway. As an espresso-only drinker, I have nothing to say about the quality of their espresso other than DELICIOUS! Speaking with Angery, I also found out they roast their beans, and the passion and hard work definitely reflect in the final quality of their product. The coffee was not burned or too acidic and was served with a small glass of sparkling water. Top notch, well done!

J
Juliette Song

Small coffee shop. Intimate and a very personable experience. I like my coffee in a very specific way, the barista guided me along the options and made sure that it was to my taste. The coffee is definitely some of the best that I've ever had. I would not be surprised to see this coffee winning awards.

K

Will was super friendly and very knowledgeable about coffee and espresso. I tried the geisha pour over and mango avocado, fantastic cup! If you like specialty coffee this place is a must visit in NYC.

Best espresso I've had downtown, I would be here everyday if I could... (I roast my own beans etc) {Snob}

A hidden gem of an Australian coffee shop under a downtown office building. Knowledgeable baristas and slick, over-the-top decor make it a nice place to spend a bit of time with a coffee and some wifi. The attention to detail is really nice - from the marble tray and sparkling water that accompany Espresso drinks to the chunky wooden handles that adorn the Espresso machine.

When you drink enough coffee it’s not very special so it’s nice to have a cool experience every once in awhile. Super creative & fun way to drink coffee. It’s hard to find - literally in the subway station. Very quite and small. A great find 🙌🏼

M

The two owners are so nice and loving, everything is made by themselves and fresh. the café and the yogurt bowl are the best I ever had! If I lived in NY I would always come here. absolute insider tip! Best food and café in NYC! 10/5⭐️

M

If you’re staying in New York and you’re after good coffee then search no further but visit this place. Avocado toasts were freshly made in front of us too. The place is a bit hard to find as you have to go underground and figure out where it is but once you get there you won’t be disappointed. Pricing was reasonable and service was fantastic.

M
Marion

They take their coffee seriously which is amazing. I’m not a fan of flavored coffees spiked with syrup. The café mocha was outstanding. Staff were really nice and efficient. The place is such a cool find underground towards the subway trains. Space is limited but patrons are respectful of others with regards to noise and space usage.

N
Nicholle Schmidt

Wow. This was the best latte I tried in NYC and one of the best I’ve ever had period. The baristas were knowledgeable and made each drink with precision. The flavor was smooth and the fall flavor that I chose for my latte was distinct without being overly sweet. The mocha was above and beyond with the perfect balance of dark chocolate and a touch of sweet.

A

I had the pleasure of trying their special latte, the Smoky Star Dreamsicle, and it was hands down one of the best lattes I’ve ever had! The unique smoky flavor paired with that creamy citrus twist was just fantastic. Plus, the staff was amazing – friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience special. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Nice and cozy local cafe. Their coffee iis super high quality. I had a latte and it was one of the best I have tried in NY. The attendants are super friendly and the atmosphere is cool. Try also their pastries. I had the gruyère scone and it was the perfect match to my coffee.

I was in NYC for just a few days but THANKFULLY found this amazing spot on my first day and came back every day. I tried at least 8 other cafes while in town and nothing came close. Coffee is absolutely delicious and the owner is extremely nice. I brought all my friends here too and everyone agreed. Will definitely go out of my way to come here the next time I’m in town.

If you’re searching for the pinnacle of coffee excellence in Fidi or perhaps even New York City, look no further. This café not only serves the best coffee I’ve had in New York – PERIOD – but also radiates a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are the epitome of kindness and friendliness, always greeting customers with the best attitude. It’s not just a coffee shop; it’s a vibe that’s entirely its own. I can’t recommend this place enough. For any coffee aficionado or anyone looking to brighten their day, this spot is a must-visit.

W
Wall Fish

Okay wow, this place has a 4.8 for a reason. I will never stop thinking about this coffee. Stopped in for a coffee on the way to a meeting in FiDi - and wow. Tried the seasonal drink “Smoky Star Dreamsicle” to say it’s the most delicious latte that’s ever been sipped by me personally is an understatement. On top of the exquisite coffee the vibes in here are incredible - nicest baristas, great design, and really good music playlist. I will go out of my way to get off at the Fulton stop so I can come here more often. Tricky to find at first if you’re coming from street level or train, but knowing it’s on the lower level helps! 110 William building security guards assisted me find it when I got lost.

S
Sharlyn Taveras

Incredible atmosphere, the batista was extremely helpful in guiding me through all of the options in order to make my drink more towards to my liking. I had a matcha latte with this delicious lavender syrup 10000/10!! The mango avocado toast is the best thing I've eaten in a long time. Its perfect in its balance of crunchy and smooth textures, sweet and heat, and refreshing all in one piece of toast. I will definitely be coming back here more often. If you can take the time to enjoy some of their delicious food and relaxing atmosphere I recommend you go here.

Voyager was a great experience for us during out NYC trip. We stayed in financial district about 1.5 blocks from their shop. It's a little hard to find, you have to take the subway stairs off of John St down a level. Coffee was incredible, I've been back each morning to get more. I drink oat milk latte no sugar. The espresso is rich, balanced, and very well extracted. The latte is just the right temperature, nothing tastes burnt or overheated. If you order "for here" you are greeted with a serving tray, plated drink, and sparkling water shot. The presentation is lovely We also ordered chai tea latte which my wife says was also excellent, and I trust her on these matters since I do not love chai. Photos attached. Loved this experience, I wish I could take them back with me to California.

What a gem! Hidden on the way to the local subway station is this precious little coffee shop. I had a Mocha and the taste was excellent - not bitter nor sweet, but perfectly balanced with a hint of cinnamon. Loved it! The foam was fantastic!! My fellow traveler had a cold brew which was super tasty as well and easy to enjoy as the roast was light and flavorsome, without any hint of acidity. This is how I like my coffee! All in all a must visit when in the area!

Impossible to find, literally worse than a maze. For that alone, don't waste the effort. Update: Took the owner up on their free coffee and came back. Turns out the whole building was closed for memorial day and they in turn had to close too as they control the access to the café. The coffee is delicious and rich in flavor, tried both variants of the iced latte and I love it. Will for sure come back, employees are friendly and pastry selection is really interesting too.

A very nice, well-hidden coffee shop in FiDi (easily the best one in the area), tucked into the underground subway entrance. The coffee is terrific, with a really flavorful espresso. Their espresso tonic easily stole the show, not just for the taste but also the presentation, with orange peels adding a nice touch.

E

this was a great find! right next to my school so i just came downstairs, a little harder to find. but you enter the building and then go down the stairs toward the subway. i got a smokey vanilla orange latte 10000/10, and a cortado to taste the espresso just by itself. both drinks came with sparkling water. will be back! a great chill place to read, they have outlets as well.

savory food. love the egg avocado toast. this place is hard to find. it’s located inside the basement of 110 William building, on a subway entrance tunnel. you can enter on William st, bypass the front desk, on the right there is a glass door saying “Subway”. pass through it to go down, through the second door, turn left and you see the place (turn right is the subway entrance)

Haven't stopped by Voyager for a long while since I moved out of FiDi couple years ago. Stopoed by today on my way to a meeting and stopped by again after the meeting :) Espresso and single origin pour over specialty is still one of the best I have encountered in NYC. Full stop. People are as friendly as I remember. They are one of the reason I miss FiDi. Will be back more often.

Great little hidden espresso shop with expert baristas who take the time to make the perfect cup of espresso bliss! Best coffee in NYC! Have the Smokey Star Dreamsicle (Golden Record espresso shot touched with smoked vanilla & orange peel syrups, whole milk recommended), to stay, for the beautiful design in a cup and sparkling water chaser. The egg & avocado toast was also delicious, and most of all, the warm and friendly service!

The vibe was that of a place where the staff knew all their customers. The business was an expression of love by the owners. A regular customer gave me a suggestion for a seasonal drink. It did not disappoint. The owners does his own roasting which indicates his commitment to the coffee experience.

I have been coming to Voyager for a year and a half at this point. No doubt the best espresso in the neighborhood, and top notch service. I worked as a barista for a year so I know what it takes to run a good coffeeshop. This place does everything perfectly. It’s worth the descent down to subway level (but you don’t have to pay a subway fare to get to Voyager)

We had such an incredible experience at Voyager Espresso! We booked a tasting class, and it completely changed the way I think about coffee. William, the owner and instructor, was amazing, so knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. During the class, William walked us through every step of the process, from sourcing to brewing, and shared insights that made the whole experience eye-opening and inspiring. The class was fun, engaging, and left us with a deeper appreciation for what goes into a great cup of coffee. On top of that, their regular menu items are fantastic, some of the best coffee we’ve had in the city! When an issue came up and we had to reschedule, William was very communicative and kept me informed every step of the way. He was so accommodating, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I’d highly recommend Voyager Espresso to anyone, whether you’re a casual coffee drinker or a total coffee nerd, just stopping in for a quick cup on your way to work or looking to dive deep with their tasting experience. You’ll walk away impressed and excited to come back.

OMG so crazy finding this hidden coffee shop that has five star ratings down in a subway station under construction. The coffee was out of this world !! Called starry orange dream sickle it was topped with some orange peel powder and lava sea salt!! The barista was amazing too!!

This coffee shop is amazing, definitely not one to be missed. You enter the building at 110 Williams Street and then turn right immediately and go through the doors and down the stairs. They serve high quality coffee drinks, many of them deconstructed which is so unique. Their prices are reasonable too (cheaper than Starbucks). We tried the tonic espresso with orange peel. If you have the drink there you get to experience the whole coffee turned science experiment in action. This is such a cool place, don't miss it when you are in NYC.

What a journey into the Voyager Espresso coffee shop! This place is in a bizarre location but at the same time makes so much sense. All I can say is, my coffee was a 10/10. I don’t normally drink coffees with syrup (you’ll see from other reviews I’m just a flat white oat milk kinda gal) but I tried a coffee which had a smoked vanilla and orange syrup in it, and it was brilliant! The coffee had a strip of powder on the top which was a little salty, so really helped to balance the sweetness from the syrup. The service was great, with staff helping with recommendation and advising on how best to drink the coffee. Highly recommend. It is a small space but we managed to sit whilst sipping on our coffees.

One of my favorite spots! The café is located on the lower level of 110 William St — you need to enter the building and follow the signs down the stairs. It feels hidden from tourists, with just a few tables, but the presentation is beautiful and the coffee is excellent (they offer a great selection of beans!). They always serve sparkling water with your coffee, and the toasts are delicious — especially the whole grain bread, which I really appreciate as someone who pays attention to what I eat. The staff is kind, the vibe is friendly, and there’s even a chess board!

What can I say to capture the experience. I opted to venture underground to find Voyager Espresso, and the experience reaffirmed my coffee values. The shop is small, very cozy and peaceful. The staff were very inviting, thanking me for choosing Voyager in recognition of the many choices one has in the city. If you read my reviews, you know I am a creature of habit. Cappuccino “a bit dry” with a preference for an Almond Croissant. However, this morning I also opted for an Americano. Voyagers presentation matched any of the top tier espresso shops Ive experienced around this world. Classic with a touch of art I so appreciate. The cappuccino was indeed dry, bold, and flavor forward. As for the Americano, this is how it is done. Any Starbucks fans out there take note and learn. If you are in Manhattan, south of SoHo, I urge you to take the steps down to the underground and experience what coffee culture has to offer. Thank you Voyager Espresso for reminding me where the benchmark is set. Enjoy!

What a great find! The service is excellent, the coffee is great and the food options are just perfect. Tasty, nutritious and reasonably priced. I'll hopefully be back, very soon. My new favorite breakfast option in NYC. If you're trying to find it, note that it's just down the stairs, off the main street. Well worth a visit.

I’d give this spot 10 stars if I could!! Favorite spot in the city. Staff is exceptional and will remember you/your order - so friendly and wonderful. Espresso is EXCELLENT. I got a cortado + it was perfection. PLUS they have amazing food! I got the egg avocado toast but want to try to prosciutto ricotta toast next time! They know their stuff and reasonably priced for the city. Thanks Voyager Team! You made my day. I’ll be back <3

Good little coffee shop that has the small business feel to it. The flat white was great, only took away 1 star because it took me a few minutes to find the location.

an excellent cafe latte was enjoyed here ... as was nibbles of an excellent pan au chocolat.

I ordered an iced mocha. The coffee set was served in a fantastic set of portions. The place, I felt fairy tiny but it was not a big deal of coffee lovers. The taste of coffee was excellent and smooth. However, I rated this 4 since I was a bit disappointed in the basic toast, just so and so, and not valuable for this price.

Tucked away in a hallway next to the subway stairwell in 110 Williams, this little coffee shop gets the job done well and quickly. Friendly staff and speedy service. My flat white wasn’t a stand out but it’s miles better than the Starbucks and Dunkin’ on the same block.

Caution: the stone/marble tray that the drinks are served on is scalding hot! My partner and I almost burned our hands. When I expressed our concern to the barista, she was nonchalant and not apologetic. She proceeded to serve our next drink on an equally hot tray to my partner. We’re assuming they just came out of the dishwasher? We were never offered an explanation or a simple apology. With that said, we loved the coffee and tea that we ordered. I just wish that the barista would take a safety concern seriously.

It's not a bad place overall, we enjoyed the food, but I had a bad experience there. I asked about pour overs and the guy said there was no menu, but he listed off a few options, and said "I recommend X". I said sure, give me X. It was a decent cup of pour over coffee, and I enjoyed it. However, when I received the bill the coffee was something like $16 or $18 for the cup. I think I should have been notified of the price prior to paying, after all it was about 3x the price of a normal cup of coffee...
