As a Singaporean I have to say this place is LEGIT. the wok hei is incredible, especially for the beef hor fun. If you go before 6pm the place next door has happy hour half priced drinks too.

Working in the area for 10+ years, I’m glad there’s now authentic, not gimmicky Asian food available for lunch at a reasonable price point. Great value for the amount of food and taste compared other Dekalb vendors.

The curry leaves bring me back to Asia! Will definitely be back to try other options.

Fried rice is delicious, and a huge portion! Sometimes you just want a good to-go option and this place hits the spot.

Best value for money in Brooklyn, love the food

Yo that fried rice is legit. The food tastes fresh and has good ingredients. The sweet and sour chicken or the hor fun are great dishes. I have to say this one the best Chinese spots in the area. Also if you like a little extra spice and flavor get a side of the chili oil. 🏆🤌🏽I am a now loyal customer 🫶🏽

This place is amazing! Very underrated spot in DeKalb Market Hall. I got the satay bibi egg fried rice and was completely blown away by the flavors. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the portions were huge. The tall young man working the cashier was also very nice and took the time to explain different dishes and provided me with some recommendations. If you’re looking for good, no-frills Singaporean food, definitely hit this place up.

L
Leo Zou

Very complex experience, it felt like I was ordering something but not as well. I went with my friend and decided on what to get but the cashier just said that it wasn’t good and suggested something that taste better. I appreciate the suggestions and it was good, but I felt like I wasted my time looking at the menu.

Wok Fusion Kitchen is a hidden gem for anyone craving vibrant, flavorful Asian fusion cuisine. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a modern, sleek interior with a laid-back vibe that makes it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a fun night out with friends. The menu offers a creative twist on traditional Asian dishes, blending bold flavors from Chinese, Thai, and other Asian cuisines. Their stir-fries are a standout—fresh, fast, and packed with flavor. Extremely satisfying fried rice. Even better than most restaurants in Chinatown. I had the soft shelled crab with black pepper sauce. The menu only had it with white rice and a fried egg so I was pleasantly surprised to get a fried rice with the dish. Turns out the fried rice was he star. It wasn't oily, mushy, or salty. Just well flavored with small chopped veggies and when the black pepper sauce was poured into it, tasted delicious. The soft shell crab had a very light batter, the way I like it. Tender and crispy. Can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Got the #2 - soft shell crab here. It was sooo good!! I feel like this is a hidden gem, right behind the Osteria. Took me a while to find it, but so worth it!

Definitely worth trying! Fried soft shell crab is legit and egg fried rice is the bomb so much wok hei 🔥🔥🔥 and not to mention the portion

this place is great!! hidden gem in dekalb market - the Singaporean signature fried rice is a must try. Bar seats are also nice, friendly staff, prices are cheaper than most areas at the market.

A cozy southeastern-style spot tucked into Chinatown, this place nails it: crisp, juicy chicken, deeply comforting slow-cooked meats, and sides you’ll actually remember. The room feels warm and lived‑in, the staff is genuinely friendly and on point, and every visit feels like you’ve found that rare restaurant that’s worth going out of your way for! Worth it!

Hidden gem. Excellent chicken and rice, even though it’s a noodle house. I grab to go but the staff are great and kind.

I have been coming here for years and the food is very good! I usually get take out but I have dined in here before as well. I find the food is consistent and service is excellent!

Excellent food tucked away down a stairwell in Chinatown. Lovely atmosphere, it’s not too big a spot but I liked the ambiance and lighting. They had a very large variety of Asian foods, seemingly something for every palate so we wanted to try a good spread of their options. I’ve never had roti before but if they’re all as good as this one consider me a fan. The skewers were also very tasty, the peanut sauce they give you was super flavorful. For our entrees, the Hainanese chicken (which was served cold, in its traditional manner) was delicious, along with the rice served with it. The Cantonese noodles were certainly a pleasant surprise, as it was also something I’d never had. Flavor was awesome and all the mix-ins tasted very fresh and well seasoned. Having tried a good handful of places in Chinatown, I’d have to say that this is easily in the top 3 of my favorite meals here. Will definitely return to try more new foods off their menu

Wow this place is really amazing! The white curry Laksa was a meal to remember! So much flavor and the noodles were perfectly chewy. Highly recommend getting that as the main dish! The murtabak roti was also a perfect appetizer for two people. I could honestly eat just that and would be satisfied!

It was very tasty, we really enjoyed the food here. I liked the noodles I got and the the stone pot rice too. The lettuce curry chicken wraps might have been my favorite. Also if you get the calamari and dip it into the white curry it's next level. They should make that an option!!

Absolutely delicious!!! Probably one of the best Malaysian restaurants in NYC so authentic and on top of that, prices were just right!! The owners were so adorable and I will definitely come back again as a regular now. I want to try everything now. I have traveled the world so I know what’s up and I’d say this restaurant is flavor explosion party in your mouth delicious!!!

Wok Wok is truly one of the best hidden gems I’ve ever stumbled upon. Finding it is part of the adventure—it’s tucked away in an alley, down a staircase into what feels like a secret basement spot. But once you step inside, you’ll realize it’s absolutely worth the hunt. I first came here years ago, and I was amazed to see that the quality is still just as exceptional today. And the prices? Honestly insane. You can get a full meal for about $12–15, which feels almost impossible in today’s world. I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao—it’s simply wow. I ordered it with their house-made char siu, marinated pork in Chinese BBQ sauce that’s sliced thin and tender, and it absolutely blew me away. The pork melts into the flat noodles, which are stir-fried to perfection. The flavors are so well-balanced—never too salty, too sweet, or too spicy. Instead, each bite feels layered and elegant, with subtle hints of basil weaving through. It’s like a flavor soundstage, where everything just pops in the right way. Their Pad Thai is also a winner. The sweet-sour balance is spot on, and the shrimp version is fantastic (though you can pick any protein and it’ll still shine). Once again, that signature wok-fried flavor with just a touch of basil elevates the dish beautifully. Beyond the food, the service is warm and friendly, and yes, they take cards. You can tell this is a local business that puts genuine care into what they do. Unfortunately, foot traffic dropped after COVID—not because the food declined, but simply because it’s such a hidden spot that many people don’t even know it exists. If anything, dishes of this caliber belong in a higher-end restaurant, but Wok Wok is keeping it humble—and unbelievably affordable. Honestly, this is one of those places you’ll want to tell your friends about, but at the same time keep to yourself because it feels like a secret treasure. Final verdict: Go find it. Order the Pad Kee Mao. Thank me later.

ONE OF THE BEST MALAYSIAN SPOTS IN THE ENTIRE CITY. Out of the last 4 places, hands down the satay is the best in the city. Incredible, vibes are chill, friendly quiet service. Super nice lady. Definitely coming back here

The server was friendly and the food came out fast. Affordable prices for great food. The skewers and dumplings were flavorful and the rice casserole is one of the best in the area! Decorations around the restaurant added to the place’s coziness. The place is really clean and the hand sanitizers on every table were a nice touch. Bring plenty of cash since it’s cash only here. Definitely recommend this place for a quick dinner or a skewer craving!

Another great restaurant in Chinatown. This specific place offers great tasty Malaysian cuisine. I ended up going with the chicken Pad See Ew along with a roti appetizer and a Thai iced tea. Service was fast and courteous and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

I had a great experience at Wok Wok. We made the reservation last minute but were seated fast. The food was very good, service was quick, and very worth the value! The portions were very big and filled us up. The Calamari is a must try. Always a must come when in Chinatown!!!

On this evening I met up with two good friends of mine and one of them recommended this place for the quality of the food and price. We all got our own individual dish (not all pictured), I had the green curry with a side of white rice! Talk about delicious 🤤, veggies were fresh and just the right amount of protein (I chose chicken). All three things, plus 3 lychee drinks we all tried (delicious too) under 70 dollars! Super happy with this find and will definitely be coming back again

I usually don’t rate on service but these guys are so accommodating how I could not… Ordered sweet and sour pork (3.5 stars) and it was better than panda express, but not like amazing, but good for fast-food chinese. They custom made me some spicy egg drop soup bc i wanted hot and sour but they don’t make it, the gesture was very much appreciated! :)!!

I was introduce to this place by my in-law. Didn't know this place existed. I thought it was a resturant that I knew of that I haven't been to for a very long time. I have to say the day I went was quiet. It had ample space and not wishing this there were a lot of empty tables but it got a bit busier as the evening progresses. My meal that I usually get at every Malaysian resturant was not on the menu, at least by the name I go by. Changing up my order to something that I was use to but would get in Koreatown. I had to say it was very delicious, hot, and favorable. I actually would like to come back again soon. As I mention it was slow when I came that day, but given the fact that they don't have that many seating also.

Pretty good restaurant! The atmosphere was very cool, especially since it’s in a basement. I ordered the Classic Char Siu Noodles with Wonton Soup and, for dessert, the Malaysian Halo. The soup was very good, flavorful and tasty. This was my first time trying Malaysian Halo, and it was good and quite interesting. I recommend!

You order 2 things in your takeout and you only get one thing. The shrimp lomein had only 4 pieces of tiny shrimp. The taste is all crap. I rather go hungry than to visit this place again.

M

Disappointed! Food was tasteless and dry with 3 shrimp. Noodles were all clumped and stuck together. Nothing like I expect. I asked for condiments, was told condiments were inside bag. Unfortunately condiments were not in bag. $16.22 in the garbage

One of the worst Chinese places in this area. Small portions and I ordered shrimp lo mein, and I got got about 2 small shrimps. Also they got the order wrong.

Toxic food. I didn’t need a costume — I almost became a ghost on Halloween. Worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. I spent the whole night with a fever, nausea, and stomach pain. My girlfriend had to take care of me because I was too weak to move. We ordered Pad Thai, calamari, and roti canai. Within hours, both my friend and I were sick. I’m honestly relieved our third friend didn’t come — he’s immunocompromised and this could’ve been dangerous. The food looked and tasted questionable: the lime wedge was dried out, the bean sprouts were sour, and the calamari was overcooked and greasy. The only okay item was the roti canai. It took me an hour just to find the energy to write this, but I want to warn others. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Manav Shahi

I ordered a Pad Kee Mao from Wok Wok today and although the food & thai iced tea I got were both very solid in terms of flavor and quantity/value, I found a piece of shredded metal in my food that I only found when it started cutting the inside of my mouth while chewing. This was the sort of meal that would have been an easy 5/5 stars if it wasn’t for the health hazard that came with strings of sharp metal showing up in my food. Praying that this is a one-off issue and not something that regularly happens here, because it truly was a shitty experience for me and I wouldn’t wish for anyone else to go through what I did today.
