LOVED this place!! Was just visiting the city for the new year festivities and wanted some good, authentic Chinese food and did a little research and landed on this place. So glad we did. Great food and service.

The duck is great, and the sizzling beef and scallops and the eggplant in garlic sauce are also excellent. The best part of the restaurant, besides the duck, is you can BYOB with no cork fee!

I’ve been coming here as a child, going back 30yrs when you had to walk up to enter the main dining space. As Chinatown changed over the years and more recently restaurants trying to survive the fallout from COVID-19. Peking Duck House decided to revise their menu, focusing on dishes common to the ‘American’ palate. That means gone are the traditional dishes such as smoked fish cold appetizer, and the only place in NYC that served Chinese ham braised with rock sugar and slow cooked lotus seeds- time consuming to prepare but Peking Duck House made it so that my grandma didn’t have to. The mainstay Peking duck is still served tableside and just as delicious, juicy and in perfect temperature as I’ve always remembered it. There is always Eight Treasure Rice to top off the meal, another true treasure of this establishment.

We were looking for a place to taste some real good Chinese food, and we run into Peking Duck House. It called our attention because it was full and accepted all types of credit cards. Personnel is efficient and and we got table really quick. Delicious sautéed duck. Portions are good and taste is great. Price is ok.

A chef comes over by your table and slice the cooked duck in front of you. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender, not a lot of fat. You put it in a wrap, mix in the vegetable and the sweet sauce then roll/fold it whichever you prefer. There’s some crunch, tenderness and sweetness - they all go well together! I recommend coming in here if you haven’t tried some authentic Peking duck and don’t be deceived by their name, they serve other delicious dishes too! Just a heads up, it can be a little pricey but you’re getting quality food.

We took these pictures at Peking Duck House in Chinatown, Manhattan. All 9 Chinatowns in NYC are dirty. But Peking Duck House is cleaner than the rest and the food is really good. My husband took me there several times. If you are going to go to Chinatown Manhattan this is the cleanest restaurant in the area.

Ordered the dinner for 2. Didn’t take a picture of the duck because we ate it so fast. Was so happy when I couldn’t decide which sides to choose and then they told me it came with all of them. Basically a 4 course meal. So worth it. Came at a “busy time” but it wasn’t crowded at all and felt a safe amount of busy. Will come again soon!

Delicious! Clean place, friendly staff and food was absolutely delicious! We tried Duck and was the best decision! I highly recommend it is not cheap but it worth.

Had the House Special Dinner (though it was 1pm). Half Peking duck, fried rice, spring roll, wonton soup & shrimp sizzling rice soup, rack of lamb, fresh fruit. Highlights: The peking duck was good, lamb was my favorite, and both soups were unusually good but I particularly enjoyed the texture from the shrimp sizzling rice soup. Also the kiwi in the fruit was unusually sweet, not tart.

All we got was their flagship dish, the roast duck special - and it was good! Excellently crispy skin, tender meat, and a delightful sauce to go with it all. Plus, the chef sliced the meat off the bird and arranged it in front of us; it was a good show. However, they did not give us the legs, head, or neck; apparently they use it all for making stock/broth. It did feel like something a little missing, though. But the duck meat was tasty, the ambience was pleasant, and the service was fast, so I can’t complain too much.

Great classic Chinese restaurant with some top food and service. The serving sizes are good and they’re using quality ingredients; everything was very tasty, even down to the rice. Well worth a visit, although it can get busy at the usual times!

Absolutely wonderful! The staff were lovely and the Peking Duck is the single most delicious meal I have ever had (and I’ve actually been to Beijing and had duck there). The chef puts such care and tenderness into the meal that even the slicing of the duck once cooked is done delicately with gentle patience. If you are in NYC you must try this place out - I recommend mid-week at lunchtime as you’ll be seated and served immediately. 100% would and will return!

One of the best places to get Peking duck. Touristy, so not many locals come here. There are better places that sell Peking duck at a lower price but the price is high because of the establishment. Whole Duck is 75 but you can get it cheaper with other people and as a entire package. When I went, it was crowded and very loud due to two major birthdays on the ground floor. They were nice to offer a 10% discount on the entire meal which was nice of them !

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food here is not only comforting but also incredibly delicious, and what's even better is that the prices are very reasonable. Our group of five decided to go for the $51 menu, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It included a choice of soup for the table, three appetizers, a whole Peking duck carved right at our table, three main courses, rice, and a delightful small dessert to finish off the meal. It was truly a feast, and every single dish was bursting with flavor. Despite the noise and the occasional challenge of securing a reservation on busy days with large groups, the overall experience was impeccable. BRING YOUR OWN WINE! Ever does it, it’s the way how it works. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone in search of delicious Chinese cuisine at a great value.

Best Peking duck in the city. Come here if you want authentic Chinese-style duck. Come hungry! They serve an appetizer platter and soup per person + depending on the set you order, comes with fried rice, entrees and a vegetable for the table to share. Soooo good. Can’t wait to come back!

Food and service here were both amazing! This place I’d a bit pricey but you get a lot of food for those prices so most dishes are definitely shareable. Lobster and duck were both superb. This was my first time trying duck and I’m so glad I came here for that experience. The service here was amazing as well they checked up on us constantly to make sure everything was okay and we’re had everything we needed. Would definitely love to come here again sometime.

Just like in Beijing! This Peking duck and side was literally to die for!!! Delicately crispy skin with the meat so tender it melts in your mouth. Happy we chose the tasting menu. A delicacy not to be missed. Highly recommended.

Everyone comes here for the Peking duck, where the chef carves a whole duck right in front of your eyes. The meat is then served with soft fluffy buns, or a thin Chinese pancake (which I prefer), freshly cut strips of scallion and cucumber, and of course the Peking duck sauce. It's pretty great, but no one is talking about the honey spare ribs. These are not to be missed. It's perfectly done, with just the right amount of sweetness. Peking Duck House is definitely more expensive than other Chinese restaurants in the area, but you're paying for the quality and the atmosphere.

The Peking Duck House has always been a celebratory spot for my family. It’s great for large groups and it’s BYOB so it’s actually a pretty good deal if you’re trying to get it going. I know the duck house has had its ups and downs over the years, and the duck and entrees aren’t cheap. I still really enjoy the quality of food, service, and overall atmosphere. The duck, crispy beef, minced string beans are always a hit.

Peking Duck House knows Duck and you should go experience their take on this fabulous meal. Wide variety menu. Great experience. Pro Tips: - Peking Duck House is BYOB, so bring your best bottle while you dine - They slice the Duck, no carcass on the table - Get in early, it gets busy.

We were a party of 5, showed up at 4pm on Sunday. They sat us down in 10 minutes. The Peking duck was great (as always). We also had : soup dumplings, regular dumplings, salt & pepper calamari, a chicken noodle dish, and added the duck soup. Including a 20% tip, it was just $200. Service was great and food was great. Restaurant was 75% full and very clean.

Superb experience for another Chinese new year extravaganza. The year of the fire horse is a once in a 60 year experience and that’s what it felt like stepping into this wonderland of delightful delicacies. The service ambiance and food was super legit. Really enjoyed the sesame chicken

Peeking Duck is a fantastic spot to try duck for the first time, and it’s no wonder it's famous for it! The rich history behind this place adds to the experience, and the duck itself is absolutely delicious. Be prepared for a wait on weekends, as it gets busy quickly, but the incredible flavors are worth it. It’s the perfect place for a large gathering, especially since you can bring your own bottle. A must-visit for both duck lovers and newcomers alike!

Probably the best Duck I've ever eaten! The sauce for the duck is finger linking good. The wonton soup was good but no match for the shrimp soup. The wraps were very good but the barbeque beef was better. The fried fish paired beautifully with the special fried rice. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the city.

Great place for a NYC Chinatown experience. The BYOB is a bonus with no corking fee! Simple quality service, which counts, compared to other establishments, which can make or break your night. Start with appetizers from the jellyfish, cold noodles, spare ribs, and then slowly progress to the duck. The key thing to remember is to ask for the duck remains to be made into a tofu and veggie soup, AFTER cutting the meat. This secondary part will be a treat. Get the shrimp with walnuts, fried squid, etc. Wrap your duck with the sauce, scallions, etc, and enjoy! If OG Chinatown folks still come here, that's a good sign. Consistent restaurant 👌

A great date night spot! Also, a great spot to take family and friends. It’s a small place, but so worth it. They cut the duck slices that are roasted in front of you and the portions are big. Show up with an empty belly! The food and drinks are not that expensive. I would say the service can be slow depending on the day.

I like the Peking duck here; it’s a better deal than places like Da Dong and the same quality in my opinion. Not too far off from what I’ve gotten in Beijing, although the duck isn’t cooked quite as well but that’s understandable. It hits the spot for me when I’m craving Peking duck.

Delicious duck, be prepared it is oily and half of the meat is just skin. We also did order fried rice(yum) , fried noodles and steam buns with chicken. Portions are huge, we took some home. Great place for friends/family to share, and try different dishes. Bill with tips was 120$. Hot tea is coming by default. Only thing I would improve is service 4/5. Food is ok, nothing really special tho.

This is my go to place for Peking duck for the past twenty years. Had not been since COVID and found it to be a bit lacking in ambiance. Wait staff was quick to shuffle us in and out. The quality of the Peking duck has also changed. It used to be much crispier and had a delicious taste and now it was just lacking. The cucumber and green onions were not as fresh as usual and seemed wilted. We also ordered fried rice which came after we had eaten all the duck which was disappointing. My favorite is the green beans with ground pork and this time is just was covered in sauce and it felt like it was drowning in it. I can’t be to negative because no matter what I will be back. It’s just a must when you want Peking duck.

Food and Service is great. Clean. I would just like the Duck to be just a little more crispy, but still so delicious with that saaauuuce. The scallion pancake was more bread than scallions, but still tasted good. Seafood Pan Fried Noodles were the bomb.com, so tasty and full of scallops shrimp squid mushrooms. Fried Calamari had a little spice to it but just right! We come here plenty of times for special occassions. Plan to spend a little because their dishes are pricey but worth it.

A nice experience. Had a large group and was accommodated very easily. The staff is friendly and patient. The restuarant may look small front the outside but within has plenty of room. The Peking duck is cooked very well and has good flavor to it. The peking style pork chops are not to die for, they also contain walnuts which I'm not a big fan of but that is a personal preference. Shrimp with ginger & scallions was my favorite besides the peking duck. The sauteed string beans with minced pork sauce was very flavorful. And lastly the fried banana with walnut was not a fresh banana ok if you skip. Over all a delightful experience.

Go for the duck! In this place you'll get a huge meaty and tasty duck with nice pancakes cooked and very well executed. You can also get it in the midtown location, although I believe there are some slight changes in the menu, the duck will be the same.

This Chinese restaurant is in the heart of Chinatown in NYC. It’s nicely decorated and the service is quick and friendly. The wonton soup has freshly made wonton, not like the ones you get from take out. The portions are huge so be prepared to cart around leftovers as you trapses through the rest of the city. But their specialty is…you guessed it…Peking Duck. They bring it from the kitchen whole, face and all, show it to the table that ordered it and then the chef slices it in the middle of the restaurant. Everyone breaks out their phones to video it. It can get crowded but the food is worth it. #karmelknockingaround

One of the more authentic Peking style ducks. The duck skin is the absolute best part of the meal being so crispy. It's always fun to watch the chef come out to the table and slice the pieces. The rest of the entrées are less authentic Chinese

Monday night, 5pm. We were the first to arrive for the evening. We ordered the house special dinner for two. The restaurant staff was prompt and attentive. Some mention they had their duck carved table-side, that was not our experience or observation. For two, the duck was carved in the kitchen and brought to our table. We did see whole ducks carved at a carving station and then delivered to the tables. The food was very good, and a great reminder that not all Chinese food comes in paper boxes.

Featured on Billions, where they make a remark about the duck, “That crackle.” This is the spot where you need to order the $79 Peking duck, otherwise, there’s no point of going. They will carve the duck in front of you, just make sure you get a good table to be near the action. The service is good and the waiters are responsive to your requests. The place is clean despite a somewhat alarming “B” rating on their door, which is untypical for what’s considered fine dining. Finally the food, the food was good, but it wasn’t the best Peking duck I’ve had. It’s okay for walk ins before 7 pm, where it quickly becomes packed and you will need a reservation.

Really great spot for Peking Duck and other dishes. The duck is carved tableside, which is nice. The Peking Duck dinner for 2 includes half a duck, soup, a variety of apps, any entree, fried rice, and fresh fruit. I loved the Peking Duck - very succulent and tender. The Shrimp Sizzling Rice soup was better than the Wonton soup and I loved the Chicken Pinenut and BBQ Beef apps over the Spring Roll and Vegetable Dumpling. Crispy Duck entree was delicious and crispy but a bit saltier than I prefer. Fresh fruit was not fresh and I would have preferred no fruit than that. Overall, not a bad spot for good Peking Duck. I wanted to try "something with duck meet" for one person and my favorite garlic eggplants. Need to say I am not a Chinese food expert and don't understand difference between several cooking styles. Shortly, neither duck appetizer nor garlic eggplants met my expectations. Instead of stir fried style vegetables I got something closer to thick soup. Anyway, people here do their job well , restaurant is open till 11 pm (🙏) and portions are huge. Looks like place with good food if you know what to order.

Busy Chinese restaurant - and that’s for a reason: great food and as always in chinese restaurants freshly made. Overall a bit pricey but quality and price goes hand in hand here.

Got "Duck for 6 people," which turns out to be one pretty small duck serving per person, plus 4 entrees. So, while there was ultimately enough food, which was all quite good, there was very little duck. The duck was delicious, which made getting so little even more disappointing. And that was about $60 per person.

The experience was disappointing. We ordered off the Special House Menu for 2. I’ve had better Peking duck at my local Chinese market for half the price. This wasn’t bad, but far from great. Appetizers and fried rice were sad. I’m not sure what this place was like years ago, but currently it’s not up to par with the other restaurants in Chinatown.

I was craving for Peking Duck when visiting NYC. Decide to try this restaurant because of the name and reviews. However, I was very disappointed on the dishes I ordered. I had much better and cheaper similar dishes elsewhere. Doesn't live up to the name. Two very different dishes with almost identical taste. A huge disappointed for me. The service and atmosphere are great though.

Re-visited the Peking Duck House in August 2018 after our first visit in June 2016. Went for the House Special Menu: nice selection of appetizers, but our Peking Duck was kind of disappointing this time. Rather very thick chops with a lot of fatty meat. Slightly overrated. We’ll give another chance next time anyways.

The Peking Duck itself was magnificent; it’s the rest that was lackluster and overpriced for what you get. We’ve been coming here for 40 years, so we can report that the renovation into a restaurant that looks more modern did not improve the appeal of it, and the photos with Mayor Koch are gone…

It offers decent pecking duck with short wait time. The skin is not as crisp as one would like but it’ll do if you need a quick fix. $65 is enough for 2 but they don’t cook the rest of the duck your style like overs do so no idea where the rest of the duck goes.

BYOB , 15% included, dirty glasses, we got the “three ways” ten dollar extra for each extra way. Duck and the sauce was delicious pancakes were way too thick tho. Soup was also very good. They don’t roll the duck out to your table anymore. You get to take a look at it for two seconds and they take it to the middle of the dining room cut it and bring it to your table. Rest of the bone and the meat that’s left on is quickly moved back to kitchen.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. The mood was mediocre at best. The Duck was dry and contained tons of bones. The pork dumplings had a odd thick coating on them and tasted a bit stale but the inner portions were tasty. The dumplings didn’t have that yummy and tasty experience. Service was good and attentive The bathroom is not handicap accessible. The basement smells horrible like mold and old water.

A place in town for Peking ducks. They cut the duck outside on the dining floor so you can see it. The duck was delicious. I would say a whole duck of $65 is good for two to three adults. It’s actually 4 star but because they lied and said they threw away the duck bone after they cut off the first layer because we didn’t have an add-on order for the rest of the duck bone. At the end we managed to get our duck. Might come back again to give it another shot. Remember guys, when you order the whole duck, you get the whole duck. Ask for the duck bone which has a bunch of meat on it and you can also make duck soup at home.

It is cheap for NY standards but do not expect amazing quality. We ordered the Pecking Duck Dinner, which comes with one duck and some entrees. The duck was okay, rest of the food a bit greasy and not great and the hot and sour soup was extremely salty. They let you bring your own wine which is nice. Loud and busy on a Saturday night. To sum up: go here if you want a filling and “cheap” lunch but do not expect the food to be a delicacy

Meh it is okay. Casual diner, the duck is okay, we also had like lots of entries which were fine. Greasy food which always tastes good but nothing spectacular. We went there on a Friday night, BYOB is nice.

We did not try the duck so I feel like I can't give a more exciting review. We stopped in for a snack before the dinner crowd hit. Being honest the egg rolls and hot and sour soup were not our favorite. The soup dumplings I did like and though the broth was good.

Disappointed with my experience. The food was very good, but the portions were tiny considering the high price. You’re better off going to any other chinese restaurant in the lower east side or 8th ave in brooklyn for same quality, larger quantity, and lower price. On top of all of that, the service was not great, even for a chinese restaurant. Despite the restaurant only having two other tables, it took ten minutes to even get menus. Wait was understandable considering we ordered a lot of food, but the waiters were also very slow and inattentive. Whenever we’d ask for more tea or water, they’d either forget or give it to another table. Took forever to flag them down for anything too. Food was great so I’d only order take out next time

Bang average at best. I’m actually quite a fan of surly service, so I enjoyed that. The theatre of the full duck with head coming out of the kitchen and being waved over your table so the grease from the bill drops into your tea is quite fun. Then the chef carefully carves off the very fattiest bits of the duck for you, leaving 98% of the meat on the carcass, which he then takes back to the kitchen, as you hungrily look on. Alas, you shall never see that duck again, unless presumably you order another dish with duck in it, or the next table does. But it’s only $79 dollars to have your dinner taken away from you, which is, to their credit, a truly unforgettable experience.

Not worth it. We've got recommendations to this chinese restaurat, especially their peking duck from our tour guide. The second day we arrived and checked the menu, we asked for an advice, the waiter also recommended the peking duck which is now for 75 dollars and after a while we agreed and sat to the table. After another while we got tea and then the duck which was presented only to my girlfriend and then they brought us the rest. The skin wasnt crispy at all, the duck was pretty much fat and a lot of meet stayed on the duck bones as I saw before. After we finished, waiter straight away brought a bill without asking for anything. All the time while we were eating no one paid atention to our table, not even once. The bill of course contained the tax and 15% tip. In total almost 93 dollars. The duck meat itself was nice but that is ALL. Service, sourrounding, restrooms and even the price is overrated. For us it was a valuable lesson and we wont visit them any more...

Every dish including the duck was bland, lacking flavor and salt. The noodles were so dry and bland and it is such a simple dish. The sizzling shrimp was bland and the shrimp tasted not fresh. The duck was fine with the crepe and sauce, but by itself there was not enough flavor and a lot of oil even for a Peking duck. The service was also incredibly slow for a Chinese restaurant and it was hard to get a waiter’s attention. I had high expectations coming here and was extremely disappointed.

Was not impressed, had very little flavor. Felt rushed to place my entire order all at once, drinks, appetizers, entrée. Then we were simply forgotten about. The appetizers, scallion pancakes, spring rolls, pork dumplings, and vegetables dumplings were over over fried and greasy. My main dish, Chicken Lo Mein, was not very flavorful and was loaded with more water chestnuts than chicken and cost nearly $15. Some of our china and silverware were a bit dirty and we had to ask for replacements. Overall the menu seems pretty basic, they must be known for the Peking Duck, but I probably won't even give them opportunity for a return visit to try it. There are quite a few other places down Mott Street that are more authentic and tasty.

The food quality has gone down quite a bit, and it has slowly turned into a tourist spot. Its crown jewel, the Peking duct, is no longer the authentic Pekin style duck. All the dishes are mediocre to not that good. Disappointing!

Visited Peking Duck House specifically to order Peking Duck. My wife and I ordered half a duck and eggplant with garlic sauce. First came the duck! It was sliced 85% of it was skin the meat was only the drum not even the thigh. The mistake I made is I didn’t take a photo of the plate to show it here. We couldn’t believe our eyes. At any rate I ate the skin, my wife was so unhappy she just took one bite. After we finished eating came the eggplant! Of course we returned it paid the bill and lift. Next time I will ask for the half or whole duck to be carved table side ( like what restaurant in Chicago did for all patrons when we visited few years ago ). I can’t recommend this restaurant.

OMG! Recently went back for the Peking Duck and it was disappointing! From the craving on the duck/skin to the dish with duck meat, and the soup with the bone, it was just not up to par at all. Soup was really really bland. Also noticed that it was a Friday night and surprisingly we were the only Asian, the whole time we only saw non Asian customers dinning. That should tell us this place has fallen from grace, as it used to be the go to place for Peking Duck in Chinatown back in the days.

After seeing the good reviews online, I decided to give this place a try after the super Saturday Lion dance event. This place serves the worst Chinese food I ever had in my life! I grew up in Chinatown and now live in Brooklyn, so I have very close access to many different authentic Chinese food. The Peking Duck was their speciality dish and it was only just edible. Authentic Peking duck is not supposed to be prepared the way this restaurant prepped it. The fast food restaurant could’ve made every dish on the menu better. You’re better off going to the other restaurants down the block or across the street. Don’t waste your time, money , and calories. It is surprising they have 4 stars and still open. The service was alright, very similar to other restaurants in the neighborhood. There was an odor throughout the restaurant from the bathroom. I’m there for the food and if I could give zero stars, it would be no stars. No thanks, not for me.

We called them and they said they did that because “some people don’t know how to roll them” but in reality they are giving you scraps and pawning them off as a Peking duck meal. Never again. Please beware if you are ordering takeout.

79$ for a regular roasted duck, again I repeat regular roasted duck not Peking duck. You can call it Peking all you want but it’s not. All the other Chinese American offerings are mediocre at best.

The set meal for 2 I felt was not worth eat. It says half Peking duck, and it came sliced already. You only get the whole duck sliced in front of you and you take out the remaining bones and all if you order a whole duck, which we were not told. The lamb was too sweet and very American in flavor. No buns, instead pita bread. Not good at all. Makes it look like Mexican cuisine. The servers were snappy but not friendly at all. I was expecting a more memorable experience. I tried the one in midtown years before. That was better based on my recollection.

05/22/2024 update: no progress, yet. this business continues to ignore the neighborhood's quiet hour, block limited sidewalk space with their 3 extra large trash containers, wash trash liquid on to the cross walk by a stop sign. there are other businesses in our lovely chinatown, for example, Hakka Cuisine | Wu's Wonton King | King's Kitchen (best roasted duck and sauce) & many more. 01/06/2024 this comment is about how this business have been consistently inconsiderate to its own neighborhood. 1. pill up restaurant waste on the side walk year round 2. washes trash leakage onto the neighboring sidewalk and grounds, leaves trash liquid puddle sit on the asphalt road, which collectively fast track the deterioration of the road and the underground pipes 3. hires trash pick company that use the loudest method possible, and their working hour is between 1am to 4am this is a beloved restaurant for many, and i hope it lasts for that reason. please help encourage this business to do the right thing: be considerate to your own neighborhood!

Went before the dinner rush. Was seated, and realized I was given unsanitary utensil, my spoon had paper and a hair stuck on it. Appetizer, had a sour taste to the BBQ beef,, which i don't u derstand why its sour...did not finish eating it. Had the Peking duck...not the best, Peking duck was not crispy it was also served with tortilla not the original crepe. I also received an old fruit platter of molding strawberries....if you like moldy strawberries, come, they have plenty since I gave it to the server. He looked at it and didn't even say anything....just walked back to the kitchen with it. Thank you for your hospitality, you guys are really something.

Absolutely terrible experience. There were no other customers in the restaurant, yet we still waited over 30 minutes for our food. The place was noticeably dirty. While we were eating, the staff were literally decorating for Christmas with a ladder right next to our table. Super unprofessional. They also added a gratuity to the check without saying a word. When I asked why we weren’t told about it, the server got upset, printed a new receipt, yanked my credit card out of my hand, charged it, and basically tried to push us out of the restaurant. Would never come back and definitely do not recommend.

I came here with my family a few weeks ago, and I can say this has been the worst experience of my life with chinese food. We had travelled from far and really wanted to enjoy good authentic chinese food, however all we were left with were upset stomachs. My son had it so bad that he was in so much pain and unable to enjoy his experience in NYC. Will avoid this place in the future.

What a joke about the $79 Peking Duck dish! Went for Peking Duck at this place. The duck: it was not freshly oven roasted. Rather, it was pre-cooked and fried before serving. It smell staled oil. The duck is fatty, the skin is not crispy and it did not taste good. The pancake: way too thick. The onions: not thinly sliced. Just the green onion stalls. DO NOT be fooled by its name. This place and its ducks are 6,825 miles from Beijing, literally! Stay away.

We had the two person special at $67 a person. The wait for each course was long, approximately 40 min for the duck to come. The duck was not anywhere near authentic (source: I’m born and raised in old town Beijing). Even not benchmarking to the real stuff, it’s not really tasty as a food item (a solid meh). You’d be much better off going anywhere else on the block. Also the fruits are stale.

Absolutely one of the worst dining experience in some time. Should have suspected this as restaurant empty while every other one on Mott nearby mobbed. The food nearly inedible. The " famed" Peking Duck was carved tableside, but so dry as to be like leather, clearly having been sitting in roaster for some time. Presentation of the $79 duck also lacking, clearly being mailed in. Rest of what we had (pan fried noodles, fried tofu, soup dumplings, scallion pancakes) on level of suburban Chinese, with exception of Chinese zucchini which was interesting. The "service" was an abomination, actually had to get up twice to ask to order and then for drinks. Each time there were a bunch of guys just standing around the front desk area talking, paying no attention customers. Toward the end of the meal we considered clearing our own plates to attract attention to get the check. To make matters worse, the food was fairly expensive for typical Chinatown. Diners beware!

As a real Chinese. I want to say: don't come to this place! But if you want to eat taco duck, here's good choice... They don't use the traditional dough to cover the duck. They used taco🤣 Only one table(my family) are Chinese in this Chinese food restaurant, now I know the reason 😅
