So much to say about Piñons. The area of Locust Valley is so cute and underated to begin with. But this cute restaurant is such a great touch that it's worth traveling to even if you're coming from out of town! The food and the ambience makes for such a great casual date night that when you're done I suggest you walk around town to stretch your legs and get a good breathe of fresh air because you've just finished a larger than expected meal. This place is an absolute must if you're looking for the entire package of different, romantic, and of course delicious!

Bar none the preeminent artisanal pizza restaurant in Nassau County. Nothing else quite like it on the north shore. Unrivaled wine/whiskey list and thoughtful craft cocktail menu. Fresh organic ingredients and it’s palpable. The weekly pizza/app specials are always on point. If you’re lucky you’ll be there when they offer the clam pie. It rivals Lee’s Tavern in quality and taste. Staff is friendly and the owner is always gracious with his time to customers. He even jumps in and makes pies in a pinch and they’re delicious. What a Mensch! Don’t sleep on Piñons the next time you’re in the area. You shan’t be disappointed.

I love the pizza as well as their chicken wings warm olives and salads. The cookie dessert is also delicious. I love the ambiance makes me feel I’m away from the usual LI spots, very friendly as well.

I just moved to Locust Valley 2 years ago and Piñons always has been my go-to spot. I really love their simple menu, cozy atmosphere and especially the owners music taste. Not only is the pizza incredible, but they have weekly specials every week that keep the menu exciting. My friends and I always look forward to seeing what they will come up with next. Their bottles of wine are carefully selected and reasonably priced and their cocktails are amazing- love their spicy margarita or a Heady Topper when I’m in the mood for a beer. GO! Get a their mushroom pizza, fava bean dip and the Youngs Farm cherry pie- you wont regret it.

Delicious wood fired pizza with great combos of toppings. We had the Pepperoni and Peppers, Hot Mesa and my favorite - Maple Bacon. They offer gluten free with an option of no crust. Dessert was local favorite cherry pie from Young’s Farm and the Cowboy Cookie is my kryptonite. Attentive friendly service. Loved the music and the vibe. Perfect casual place for delicious pizza! Having been a fan since they opened, it’s great to see that the pizzas are offered now in local grocery markets in the freezer section. And you can make a reservation on the website which I didn’t know as we’ve been frequenting this place as a drop by for quite a while.

Great vibes, great drinks, great apps, great pizza. Been looking for a spot like this for a long time. Not the type of place you get takeout from(just because the ambiance and overall experience of sitting down is so good) but definitely the type to sit down and have a few drinks and have some great food. Got the pizza that has lamb, mint and feta on it and my god it was amazing. Never had a pizza with that combination before and it blew my expectations away.

Third time at Piñons and it keeps getting better. Sat with Lotus at the bar yesterday who is so lovely. My husband was concerned about space and feeling uncomfortable but it was PERFECT! A note to the owner: the pesto/vodka/pepperoni special is too good not to keep on regular menu. I saw a photo of it and that alone made me make my first reservation-finally got to try it last night and it was exceptional. The pepperoni and peppers pizza is also stellar. Bacon dates, meatballs, wings WOW! This is a truly special place. Will keep coming back because it’s such a treat and you don’t feel horrible when you leave. Really appreciate the high level of quality and care it takes to move such ingredients and keep providing that level of service. Thank you Piñons!

We had the personal pizzas and they were excellent. They have draft beer and a variety of mixed drinks. The seating is cozy. Wait staff was attentive and ready with recommendations for first timers. It can get a bit loud when full but a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

Lovely full service, sit-down pizza restaurant in downtown. The meatballs were special. The garlic pizza was great, so was pinions plain pizza. The espresso was fine as well.

We sat outdoor on a Saturday night. Good food and atmosphere. Service is slow. Not that the waitress is bad, in fact, she is nice but there aren’t enough people it seems. I know about labor shortage but I am a paying customer. I am not into worrying about anything else…

New Years Eve. 9 pm reservation. Food was excellent as usual. It was obvious that the staff wanted to get out of there and made us feel like we were imposing. It’s too bad because we usually love this place. Ps it’s 10:16pm and I am already home.

Whoever says there’s no such thing as bad pizza did not eat at Piñons. A sad & disappointing pizza. It tasted like a stale saltine cracker. The crust is an abomination, there’s not enough sauce and the cheese was greasy, oily and overly salty. Huge disappointment.

This time I came in with my friend and I, and had hopes to sit at the bar but instead we sat at the high top table. Very uncomfortable. Our waitress seemed like she couldn’t bother with my friend’s questions and gave an attitude. We waited for our drinks that I could see sitting at the bar ready for quite awhile until the gentlemen brought them over. The food took awhile to come out but was very good, could have been a bit hotter. We were all done and waiting for the check for a very long time as I could see our waitress in the back on her cell phone. Overall this place does better if you sit at the bar, you’ll get better service and kindness. Food is worth trying.

I have to give it one star for the food and honestly, the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It had no taste. It really has potential though its in a great area. The service was great and so was the atmosphere, but the food with the appetizers was absolutely horrible.
