I would say a fews weeks later and still craving their bolognese pasta dish! I came Jan 28 celebrating my bday and it was a great choice. My best friend initially ordered the pizza, unfortunately it was not good and bland. The pizza did not meet our expectations at all, but we were able to switch it out with no problem. I’d also add, the server was not rude or anything, but she was also not talkative and it felt like more of a business transaction than a enjoyed. I would say more interaction from her to the guest would have created an even better experience!

Oh my gosh, what an amazing experience! We came for our anniversary and both selected their tasting menu that includes an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert for $39!!! This isn't generic frozen food, everything is made from scratch and was delicious. We had the meatball egg roll with san marzano jam and fried zucchini for a starter, Cesar and arugula & strawberry for our salad, lasagna and linguine & clams for entree, then the tiramisu for dessert. Our wait was Chris and provided GREAT service. We wish we lived closer so we could come back, very enjoyable experience!

WOW!! 🤩 My mother and I had the most relaxing lunch date at Mia’s. I’ve been to many restaurants throughout Europe (primarily Germany, France, Belgium and Italy) and I really love Italian food. This restaurant gives the most authentic European vibes in Old Town Alexandria. Being that fall season is here, they decorated the restaurant and outdoor seating so beautifully! We loved it 🎃🍂🍁 We saw the menu special and both decided on ordering the Strawberry Limoncello Frozen Margarita — and it was spectacular ✨✨✨ Not only was it delicious, it was just a beautiful piece of art! The red from the strawberry and the gold edible glitter just set this thing off!!! 🍓🍋 Such a beautiful and aesthetic piece of art!!! We were wanting a small bite to eat and ordered a personal pizza to share. The pizza here is heavenly!!! The crust is crunchy and delicious, and they had a good variety of topping choices, plus it’s homemade and baked to perfection! I can’t wait to come back and bring more family and friends to enjoy drinks and food here. The staff members were so amazing from the moment we walked in. The waitress even asked if anyone had food allergies and we really appreciated their hospitality and consideration. Overall, here are my scores for Mias: Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Menu variety & prices 10/10 Location 10/10 Customer Service 10/10 🫶🏽

1/4/26 - first time @ Mia's Italian Kitchen and I would return! The food was tasty, delicious, and made to order. I had the lasagna bolognese (yum 😋). I wasn't impressed with my salad but it was doable. The service was quick and the waiter was friendly. The atmosphere is charming but it can be loud with guest talking. The bar area is a tight space. The restroom was clean. I recommend others to check out this restaurant.

Went to Mia’s Italian Kitchen for brunch with a girlfriend, and we had such a great time. The place was buzzing—packed with people enjoying their bottomless brunch, and for good reason. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our food came out quickly, and there was plenty to go around. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Definitely worth every penny!

First time visit on valentine’s day night, no reservation, but we were able to be accommodated in the bar area the area was a little tight but it got the job done, considering it was dinner time. did Mia’s tasting menu and it is a BANG for your buck truly, was left in a good coma but so delicious, wasn’t able to finish it so I took it home, and i’m NOT a leftovers person. The service was great, we had a great waiter, he was perfectly attentive but not overbearing. As for the taste in the food, for apps we got the meatball eggroll and BRUSCHETTA. Not sure what was expected but the meatball eggroll was like nothing i’ve ever had before in a great way. the accompanied sauce was perfect. For the bruschetta, it was not expected either but the tomatoes were fresh the bread itself was perfectly toasted. For entrees we got lasagna and JUMBO SHRIMP FRA DIAVOLA. The lasagna was better than expected and the shrimp on the pasta was so juicy and flavorful it was like a party in your mouth. great experience. the tiramisu was perfect and the canolis as well. wish i got more pictures

Overall this place was amazing! We had Nina and Andrew, she was a great at training and you could tell she really knew the restaurant and menu. The food was so good and it has very large portions! I got the chicken parm and it was so good, they told me it was spicy but to me it wasn’t but it was still amazing!!! As well as the zucchini fries were so good, an unexpected delight! Lastly the desert, we got the tiramisu, chocolate lava cake, and the donuts! All of them were good but not as good as dinner, really showed how the main dish is the star of the show!

Great service! I wish I remembered our server’s name, she was amazing! The food was tasty - only thing I didn’t love was the grilled chicken. Fettuccini Alfredo was yummy and Cesar salad was good but the bread was the best!! And tasty drinks! I’d go back…next time with a reservation though - thankfully, there was an open high top at the bar.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Mia’s Italian Kitchen. For appetizers, we ordered the grilled roasted garlic toast, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For dinner, I had the spaghetti alla carbonara with blackened chicken; rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the branzino with broccolini, and it was fresh, light, and beautifully prepared. The service was amazing, attentive without being overwhelming, and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas, which made the experience feel extra warm and festive

The place is really nice with great outdoor seating. The giant meatball was incredible, so soft and tender, and the San Marzano marinara had so much flavor. We ended up ordering 2 giant meatballs. It was that good. The burrata was creamy and delicious. The bread they serve tastes charred and it is unbelievably soft inside, easily a 10/10, and it is perfect for dipping in the marinara. The Caesar salad was fine, nothing special, and the sauce was not anything memorable. The white carbonara with mushrooms was really good. The pasta was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of chew. The service was not great. Our waitress was hard to understand, not very attentive, and she forgot things we asked for. Overall, the food deserves a 9/10. I would definitely come back. Also the prices are very reasonable.

We went here as a large party with a reservation for a late lunch and the restaurant was extremely crowded. We were seated at a table all the way against a wall which was very awkward and uncomfortable. It was also so loud that we could hardly each the person next to us. The service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I’m not the best person to rate Italian dishes since I don’t eat dairy, but my minestrone soup and vegan cheese pizza were fantastic. It was probably the best vegan cheese pizza I have ever tried and I hope more restaurants start to use the Selfish Cow vegan cheese! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food so I’m guessing it was all good. I’d come back again and get two personal pizzas next time.

A friend recommended Mia’s while I was exploring Old Town solo today, and I’m so glad I went! What a charming spot! I kicked things off with the Wallop (a twist on an Aperol Spritz, but with a bit more of a punch). For starters, I had the arugula strawberry salad and zucchini fries, both absolutely delicious. For my main, my server, Mike, suggested the Cacio e Pepe, which I paired with a blood orange margarita, and I’m so glad I took his advice! Both were fantastic. I enjoyed my meal on the patio, where the atmosphere was just perfect. Overall, great service from Mike, incredible food and drinks, all at a reasonable price. Can’t wait to return and try out their brunch!

My brother took us to Mia’s Italian Kitchen for lunch the other day, and honestly, I really enjoyed it. The food was super fresh and flavorful. I can’t recall all the exact names, but from what we ordered ,there was a pizza (crispy crust with just the right amount of cheese), a shrimp pasta (lightly creamy and the shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked), two different chicken dishes (one a bit spicy and the other more on the cheesy side, both delicious in their own way), and another pasta with mushrooms that had such a rich, earthy flavor probably my favorite of the day. We paired it with a cocktail, which just made the whole experience even better. The ambiance was cozy and warm, giving off a nice authentic Italian vibe. Overall, it was a really enjoyable lunch, and I’d definitely love to go back!

Beautiful restaurant in a nice location. Food was amazing. Francisco provide excellent service and great recommendations. My favorites were the Diavola and Funghi Pizzas, Rigatoni Al Funghi & Tiramisu. Insane value during Sunday brunch. Forgot to take pictures of the pasta before digging in!

Mia’s Italian Kitchen is flawless. We came in for lunch and everything was on point. Service was fast, friendly, and super attentive without hovering. The food was perfect. I had the pizza and a salad, my husband had the salad and the lasagna, and it was a 10 out of 10 across the board. No notes at all. If you want great food, good vibes, and an easy, comfortable atmosphere, come here. You’ll walk out happy.

Nina C and Andrew did a great job our party. We were a challenging group and so confused on what to order. Nina walked us through all the options and helped us with suggestions. You will not leave hungry. Big portions. We will have enough food for tomorrow as well. The pasta was amazing. You can tell it is handmade.

Amazing food, Service & outdoor patio! Chicken piccata was great with the exception of the risotto. Would love to have an angel hair pasta or something similar. Other than that is was very flavorful and the chicken was moist and the broccoli was perfectly done. Lasagna was very good as well. Nice portion, with crispy edges and yummy center. Could use a bit more sauce but otherwise very well made. Wine was great. Outdoor service was fantastic and such a beautiful night. Good food and great restaurant

Debbie was our waitress this Saturday and she was phenomenal. Thank you for the wonderful experience. The brunch here was great. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to have her as our waitress next time. She was very friendly and helped us out with what to try.

Dined with my family this evening. It was our first time, and despite feeling slightly overwhelmed with the amount of amazing choices! As out servers we had Nina C and her trainee Andrew! Nina was so kind, patient, and walked us through her favorites. She clearly knew her way around the menu, recommending ways to change or modify a dish, things to get, and was very patient with our group of 6. Andrew helped by keeping our table clean and keeping our waters full. The star of the show food wise was definitely the burrata appetizer ! For my main dish I got the fungi mushroom rigatoni and added the very large meatball! Very good, loved the homemade pasta. overall would recommend for a cozy, warm meal with excellent service! And if you get Nina C or Andrew you know you’ll be treated well!

While visiting Virginia, the wife and I spent a beautiful day exploring Old Town Alexandria - such an amazing place with tons of charms. The whole atmosphere was buzzing with people and events giving off a vibe that really reminded me of Europe and Montreal. Our family recommended this place for their AYCE brunch and it did not disappoint. We ended up skipping the brunch because by the time we got a table (over an hour wait) there were only about 30 minutes left. Still, the wait was worth it. I went with the 4-course meal for $39 and it was delicious. The portion sizes were generous and everything hit the spot. My wife ordered a salad and pizza - she wasn’t thrilled with the pizza but she really enjoyed the dessert from my meal so it worked out! Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area but definitely join the waitlist early - it’s a popular brunch spot for a reason!

I've been here twice and forgot to write a review. One was for dinner and second one was for brunch. Liked their menu and the food quality. Only thing is if you are sensitive for strong black pepper taste stay away from the cacio e pepe pasta but I like it :) my friend did not like it. Everything else is easy to eat and delicious. Pizzas are personal and good for tasting a couple of them. Gnocchi feels like you are in heaven. Tiramisu was not strong enough for me but tasty.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful place, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We were both touched by the exceptional food and the outstanding service, which felt like a warm embrace. Our waiter was not only professional but also genuinely lovely, and her kindness contributed immensely to our experience. She might just be one of the many reasons we fell in love with this place.

Mia‘s is now a notorious favorite among my family and me. It’s where we celebrate, birthdays, where we bring friends from out of town… Surprisingly, we have only ever been to the brunch and every time it is just as good as the last. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Mia Italian Kitchen is an absolute game-changer. The $32 bottomless brunch is easily the best deal in town—honestly, I can't believe the value. We ordered a huge variety of dishes, and everything was fresh, authentic, and delicious.

Mia’s Italian Kitchen is always my go to for good food and exceptional service. My server Britney was efficient, knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive. She suggested I get the branzino blackened and ever since then that is all I get! I highly suggest everyone to experience Mia’s atleast once. Whether it is for the brunch or even dinner, you will not be disappointed. But make sure you do reservations! It can get packed.

This is a perfect 5 restaurant! But make a reservation, I tried a walk in, but it was way too busy and they had no space. The food is AMAZING! Parking, well, good luck!

Dined in at Mia’s Italian Kitchen and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming vibe made us feel like we were guests in someone’s home. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy—great for a relaxed meal or a special night out. What truly made our visit exceptional was Mike, our server. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. His recommendations were spot on, and he made us feel like regulars. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and personal, but Mike nailed it. The food was just as impressive. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. While the pasta was amazing, I was surprised by how incredible their Cobb salad was—easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, a comfortable atmosphere, and top-tier service, Mia’s is a must-visit. Ask for Mike—you won’t be disappointed!

Celebrated my 6th anniversary here on November 7, 2025. I asked if I could have flowers delivered and brought to our table to surprise my partner. Mia’s staff happily obliged and made it a truly special night. In addition to great food (highly recommend the chicken parm or the chicken saltimbocca), the staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Will be back soon.

I can’t get enough of this place, I find any excuse to go. Their bottomless brunch is always a hit and their chicken parm is my favorite ever. The sangria pitchers are a dangerously delicious deal and the giant meatball and zucchini fries are a must order. Wonderful place to celebrate your birthday too, they made my friend an adorable hand-drawn card. The staff is always attentive and friendly.

Mia’s Italian Kitchen was fantastic! We went for Sunday brunch and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, with great portions. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a relaxed brunch. Definitely a place I’d come back to! highly recommend!

Mia’s might have some of the best brick oven pizza I have ever had in my entire life (outside of Italy, lol). The garlic toast is so good, and the seasonal lemonade was delicious. We sat outside and even in under 50° the atmosphere was amazing and the heaters worked perfectly. Genuinely can’t wait to go back and hoping to sit inside to experience the atmosphere in there because it’s gorgeous inside as well.

Alan, was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His positive attitude really elevated our experience, and you can tell that he genuinely care about the food and level of service. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have him again!

Pictured is the fried provolone with a red sauce, and main course was rigatoni ala Bolognese. The description says "slow braised beef bolognese, ricotta, san marzano tomatoes" and it lives up to ever word. Thank you for a great birthday!

I mean, what can I say, just such good food that I've been back 2 times for my visit here. Everything was really good. I had the Chicken Piccata and it was so delicious. 2nd time had the 3 cheese ravioli special. For drinks, I had the Italian sangría and dessert both times. I ordered the cannoli, which was so good. Overall great staff and accommodating for big parties with not too long wait times.

No words can describe how much I love Mia's. The food was incredible. We order bottomless brunch and we literally had food coma afterwards. Everything was great, can't stop eating. The only downside is that they dont have non alcohol drink option for bottomless brunch. The vibe was great. The service was even greater. Dont forget to reserve before you come (at least 2 weeks before). This place is loved by many!

Regulars here and tend to bring people that are visiting or who have never been. This afternoon was no exception with half our party. Food was phenomenal, per usual as well as the service. Susan C. took exceptional care of us. Very sweet and attentive. Recommend this Italian spot to anyone who’s never been, ask for Susan C.!

Our server Debbie was great. They offer family style serving, which was perfect for our big friend group. Food was quite good.

The food in this restaurant is good. It is especially good if you’ve never had Italian food before, or if you did not grow up eating Italian food. Each dish we had was tasty, but was unlike Italian food that we grew up with. The people in the restaurant are kind, and they give a discount to federal employees not receiving a paycheck during the furlough. We ate roasted vegetable lasagna, pizza with sausage and peppers, and Margherita pizza.

Just had first meal here .... lunch on a weekday. It was excellent !! 2 other people with me .... all our dishes were delicious. Really recommend the cod served on risotto. We had doughnuts for dessert. They were like beginners. So wonderful. Warm and fresh .... you must try them. Our waiter Oesas was great .... and his food recommendations were spot on.

Oh, the food, omg the food, and the food, it's yummy, I wanna come again and again for the food. The only thing is the bartenders, our bartender was the best. However, he can not be everywhere and everyone wants him "because he is the best" but the others, please look up, check the client at the bar, feel water, even if you don't wanna serve someone's customer at least call their server for them, just don't look down acting like you are not looking or the glasses, you can still polish the glasses, make a cocktail and still scan ppl with your eyes...

J

I went on Monday evening and our server, Katie M, felt like a sugar-coated robot—polite but soulless. She told me they don’t provide balsamic vinegar and olive oil, yet I saw another server bring them to other tables. I had to ask a different staff member to finally get them. Very disappointing service, and I regret even leaving the minimum tip. That said, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent, which is the only reason I’d even consider coming back.

J

Food is ok, a little heavy on the salt. Eggplant parm was a little overdone and light on sauce. Fried Zucchini was excellent! Service was attentive and professional.

S
Sam Miller

We like Mia’s but we’ve definitely had to temper expectations and stick to the basics after a couple visits. Our most recent visit was mostly fine, we both enjoyed our entrees and appetizers, but then we ordered 2 of the chocolate cake desserts to go and they sent us home with burnt little hockey pucks. At $9 each and touted as “made to order” we were both really disappointed. I would have been embarrassed to serve that. And it’s clear they saw it was burnt because the burnt side was put facedown in the to-go containers. Anyone with eyes could have seen it or smelled it. I wish we check the to go containers before we left but who would think they’d need to. Not to mention, the restaurant was freezing cold and most people were wearing their winter coats indoors, which is uncomfortable.

S
Sevinc Muradzade

Recently, we set out to explore different cuisines. We enter any restaurant that catches our interest without a reservation, observe how we are welcomed, taste the food, and then create our own local ranking. Our clothing is quite ordinary, and sometimes even a bit funny. When we arrived here, the gentleman who greeted us asked how he could help, but we felt as if we were being treated like homeless people. I really didn’t like that. However, my main purpose was to taste the food. People often judge based on appearance, without knowing anything about a person’s bank account. We asked the server for their best dishes and ordered based on the recommendation. Unfortunately, it was terrible. The pasta was undercooked, and the pizza dough was raw inside. I truly didn’t want to do this, but we had to send the pasta back, and I couldn’t forget that awful taste all day. Please pay attention to how you welcome your customers, and first of all, improve your food. We would have left at least as much tip as the amount we ate, but this was not deserved.

I was going to Uber eats order on Nov 14 Friday for pick up and this is the most terrible service I have ever experienced for Uber eats deliveries. Come the rest. I waited about 20 minutes just for an employee to say something. The supervisor or I’m guessing the manager because he’s the only person who is dressed different then took extra 10 minutes after to say are you waiting to find someone will come over here to help you, after I walked up to him because no one has helped yet. It’s very disrespectful environment in a very hostile environment with no employees who look like they want to actually come and speak to you first. You have multiple employees looking at you looking on your phone, but they sure you’re going to deliver and instead of asking you do you need help or have you been help? They would rather tell you wait right here someone can do something for you. Then after the lady comes and told me about the Uber order, she stated it would take longer just for her to turn around, and the order has been ready for the entire time. If I could do zero stars, I really terrible service. Especially the lady who was on the right in the photo in front of the tablet, that is the one who did not pay attention to the order already being ready did not bother to look or anything in that order. Also the main employee who gave the most terrible service. The supervisor or manager with the burgundy zipped up is the one who saw me waiting and just said wait here more, just to turn around and get on his phone . I asked another employee what’s the name of the manager with burgundy zipped up it is Ted/Teddy
