To celebrate my son's 21st birthday, we dined at Oak Steakhouse and received exceptional service, thanks to Leo. From the moment we arrived, Leo made our experience enjoyable and memorable. He was attentive, proactive, and took great care to ensure my meal was free from any allergens — something I truly appreciated. We had made reservations right when the restaurant opened, so there was no wait time. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. The meal was premium: I ordered the Hanger Steak with Crispy-Fried Brussels Sprouts, and Garlic Roasted Hummus, while my son enjoyed the Boneless Ribeye with Potato Purée — all dishes were absolutely delicious. Oak Steakhouse went above and beyond to make my son feel special. They offered a personalized "Birthday Menu," presented him with a hand-written birthday card, and even treated him to a complimentary dessert. I highly recommend Oak Steakhouse to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, and top-notch dining experience. We will definitely be back — and will be asking for Leo again. Thank you, Leo and the entire Oak Steakhouse team!

Oak is my favorite restaurant, the food is INSANELY delicious and the staff/service is wonderful. Rich always goes above and beyond whenever I am there! I even had my wedding dinner as well as my business team dinner. 10/10 recommend!!!

My hubby took me to celebrate my birthday. They greeted me with birthday wishes and a cute card. The seasonal menu had a variety of options for food and beverages. The atmosphere was warm and sophisticated. The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and helped us with great recommendations. I can't wait to return. I highly recommend you visit.

Dropped in for a steak while in town for the night, and wasn't disappointed. I sat in a comfy spot at the corner of the bar and was attended to by Mike, who was simply an ace, on the ball from start to finish. The vintage decor and moody lighting set the perfect tone for a sophisticatedly gritty dinner. Loved the caesar salad and the brussel sprouts, and they're more than generous with their steaks. Sparkling water on tap was exceptional as well. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back.

I dined with a large group, and we had a room to ourselves with a fixed menu. The food was delicious! My favorites were the pimento grilled cheese apps, the crispy Brussels sprouts (my absolute favorite), and the Oak sundae. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful overall experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oak Steakhouse - Alexandria My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Oak Steakhouse in Old Town Alexandria, and it could not have been a better experience. From start to finish, the service was outstanding and the food was an absolute 10 out of 10. Our server, Mike, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to meet Todd Hunt, the area director for Virginia and D.C., who personally checked on our table and made sure everything was perfect. You don’t see that kind of hands-on hospitality every day, and it really made the evening special. The restaurant is owned by Indigo Hospitality Group, and I honestly can’t say enough great things about the entire experience. Incredible food, exceptional service, and a beautiful atmosphere. If you're in the area and looking for a top-notch steakhouse, Oak needs to be at the top of your list. We’ll definitely be back!

Update: Came back again for desserts and cocktails and very enjoyed the sundae and passionfruit cocktail. Paul is a fantastic professional bartender. Cant wait to be back for dinner someday, oh and oysters are fresh and plump. Popped in for a quick cocktail and dessert and really enjoyed the fine dining ambiance as well as bar service from Keith. We have a lovely time and cannot wait to be back for dinner!

We came here after our wedding ceremony and Shawn treated us like royalty. The food is always incredible, the atmosphere is great. 10/10 will continue to come back.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we had the best time ever. The atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress was so lovely and sweet. The food was phenomenal and was up to par with the price. I’m not really a drinker but I still try my bf’s drinks sometimes and this was the first time I ever truly enjoyed his old fashioned. The drink was a bit pricey but once we tasted it, worth every penny. I also loved the dessert they gave us for his birthday. It was so kind of them. For special occasions, I would 1000% go back. I’m so happy I found it. Side note: they do offer validated parking during certain times and days so if you plan on driving, ask ahead of time!

It was an unexpected surprise. Last minute booking. MY wife and I decided to celebrate our 5th year anniversary here. From the beginning we felt we made the perfect choice. The staff were very welcoming, we waiting for our seats at the bar and the bartender was so nice and cheerful. Once we got seated we met Robert our waiter. We were surprised with a beautiful handwritten letter celebrating us. I’ve had great service before but Robert is top Notch. Robert surprised us with champagne and a nice dessert at the end. Robert definitely made us feel like the night was just about my wife and I. Robert if you read this I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart you made our last minute plan to celebrate our anniversary beyond perfect.

The service and food here are outstanding. Expect to spend around $100 per person, but it's definitely worth it. We tried the pork chop, scallops, and steak, and all were cooked to perfection.

Great dining experience, relatively quiet atmosphere. Wait staff was very professional. Had the bone marrow appetizer, and eventually we moved on to their premium dry aged steaks. Very well executed, perfectly seared and perfectly medium rare, not edging towards medium. Is dry aged worth the $30 premium over a regular steak? I'm not 100% convinced on the dry aged front but this was an amazing steak. Five beers, two steaks, bone marrow, mac and cheese with lobster, and a french onion soup ran us $300. We were NOT disappointed though, so if you have money to burn then I'd recommend this place. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in my life.

Great date night location. Food was so flavorful and filling. My boyfriend and I went in April and again in June and our server remembered us. He gets the filet mignon and I get scallops. The baked mac and cheese is AMAZING. 10/10

Went here for dinner and had a great time. The the ambiance is upscale and elegant. Appetizers were really good, steaks were tender and cooked perfectly to temp. Truffle Mac and cheese was my favorite side but you can't go wrong with any of them. Finally a DC quality steakhouse in Alexandria. Definitely worth a visit if you want to splurge a little bit. Definitely the best steak place in Old town!

Catch up post. . . . Valentines Day, 2021, this was the first year I decided to go out on February 14th. Just because I'm single doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good meal with myself, right? I didn't dress up, I had on some jeans and a sweater, my Uggs. I felt comfortable as I walked into The Oak Steakhouse, located in Virginia. It is a pretty spacious restaurant that sits on the corner of North Saint Asaph Street in Alexandria. There is a lot of natural light at the front of the restaurant, but towards the back, a little dimmer as I sat near the kitchen. I was greeted by my server, Catherine, and she was so friendly. I started with a glass of wine, Moscato, and for my appetizer, the oysters rockefeller and bone marrow. Whenever I frequent a restaurant and I see bone marrow on the menu, I always try and order as i do a comparison to other bone marrow dishes I have tried in the past. This one was good. The bread server with it was seasoned and toasted to perfection. Oh, I didn't forget, the oysters rockefeller were the best I had ever had. They were $5 a pop, and I ordered two. I wish I had ordered more, but I'm not a huge fan of oysters. For my main course, a steak. Honestly, you will never see me eat chicken or any type of fish at a steak house. The purpose of going to a steakhouse is to eat steak and steak. I ate the hanger! When I tell you that steak was so good and seasoned so well, I didn't even need the chimichurra sauce. However, the sauce was good as well. I know I've mentioned I never ordered dessert, but this time, I did. I had some type of chocolate dish, which wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy it. I have been wanting g to go back since that first experience, but I have not, oh but I will! Bon appetit 🤌🏽!

H
Hyun Kwak

The food is decent. I don't understand why they make customers wait 30-40 minutes when there are plenty of tables empty. Everytime I eat there, my hair smells like a steak 😆 but the food is still good. If you are not a meat eater, i recommend the scallop dish. Some appetizers are a bit overpriced but the quality is good. A glass of wine, bread, entrée, and a shared appetizer, you can budget around $100/person.

This quickly became our favorite restaurant in Old Town. It’s located just north of the hustle and bustle of King Street, nestled in a quieter part of town that is still somehow full of restaurants and shops. The ambience is on point — something I would describe as rustic chic complete with dimly lit chandeliers, dark wood, leather, and brick. I would not normally mention restrooms but they are accessed through a large wine cabinet and are stocked with wonderfully fragranced soaps and candles. The staff and manger are attentive to detail and genuinely care about their guests and their experience. It was impressive to find a place with both delicious food and impeccable service. Shawn was our waiter, and he did a phenomenal job meeting our every want and going above and beyond with a free sample of the brussel sprouts! Those are a must-try! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our rolls, filets, side of macaroni and cheese, drinks, and six layer chocolate cake! If you are into cordials, ask for a cherry garnish (they are soaked in bourbon). They have both inside and outside seating. This is an absolutely perfect experience for a date night or if you want to impress your friends! We can’t wait to go back!

We walked in on a Saturday evening with no reservations, thankfully they were able to accommodate our party of 4. From the moment we were seated our waitress Josella ROCKED. The wine and beer selections were good, and we were all able to find something to quench our thirst. I highly recommend the Malbec, Familia Mayol, it pairs so well with steak! We started with Parkerhouse rolls but the real star was the Green Garlic Hummus, AMAZING! We ate the hummus so quickly no one was able to snap a pic! Our party ordered Steak Frites, petite filet, and the special of the night – 22oz dry aged ribeye (which was large enough to share). All the steaks were cooked perfectly. For our sides we ordered bravas potatoes, baked smoked gouda mac & cheese, and crispy brussels sprouts; the steak frites came with the beef-fat fries. The sauces & butters you can add to your steak are fun but not necessary. Everything was great! The standouts were the brussels sprouts and mac & cheese. We had not planned on ordering dessert but when Josella found out we were celebrating my birthday she brought out chocolate hazelnut cake and cheesecake for the table. The food was good, but Josella really made our evening and provided the best service we had received in a LONG time.

My husband and I are sooo happy that Oak is here! Much needed steakhouse in the area! They know what they are doing too! This compares/beats some of the top notch steakhouses in nyc. Start with the bread rolls! My husband got the rib eye which was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I got the burger which was 10/10! We split the Brussels sprouts which were delish but we were so full we couldn’t finish. Honestly- there wasn’t a bad dish we had! Can’t wait for our next visit!

What a charming place. We didn’t have a reservation on an early Friday evening but we were quickly seated. The waiter took a little time to greet us however things quickly improved. My drink was great, Boy in Venus I believe it was called. The oysters were the best I’ve had in the area. Our entrees were amazing I had the short rib and pierogies and for dessert the rosemary semifreddo. Everything was outstanding. The ambiance was casual but sexy, the playlist outstanding (thanks Todd), the noise level was controlled quiet chatter, lots of happy faces with glasses of red wine. My kind of vibe. First visit but not my last, can’t wait to get back there. Perfect place to unwind after a busy week. I’d prefer not to share, to keep it a secret, but this place deserves the praise.

Customer service defines any product or service. Those familiar with me are aware that fine dining is my personal work/life balance. I'm almost on the brink of needing a twelve-step program for my food passion... lol. Tonight, I want to talk about my time at Oak Steakhouse in Alexandria, Virginia... Here’s how the night unfolded… Upon arriving, the hostess and GM warmly welcomed me, making me feel valued right from the start on my first visit. I got a seat with a view of their open kitchen and ample space to live stream for my 'Restaurants USA' food group on Facebook, where I, along with around twenty thousand others, celebrate our shared passion for food. To wet the appetite, we start with the Bramblin Man… (two actually, sooo good!). Deep Eddy Vodka, Blackberry Infused Lilith Blanc, Blackberry Liquor, Orange Ice. Then came the Charcuterie Board. Berkshire, Pork Pate, Prosciutto, Mortadella, Dijon Mustard, Cornichon, Frisée and Radish. Add to that, well…, just because… Italian Burrata. Heirloom Tomatoes, Basil, Cucumber, Radish, Maldon Sea Salt.… For the main, a warm, pink center, perfectly prepared Snake River Farms, Wagyu Fillet accompanied by a Baked Smoked Gouda, Mac, and Cheese, Crispy Fried Brussel Sprouts. Apple cider, Soy Caramell, Fried Shallots. And to finish it off… An apple and cherry cobbler. This Bourbon, Soaked Cherries and sorghum Ice Cream almost put me into a food coma. And of course, my signature cappuccino… Thank you Todd Hunt (GM) and Rich of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group for the incredible customer service experience. I’ll be back! Kudos to you Steve Palmer for putting together such an incredible team! #finedining #restaurants #customerservice #customerserviceexperience #itsallabouttheguest

We came in on a Saturday night for a 9pm table reservation. They close at 10pm, which I hadn't recognized because not one time did we ever feel like our dining experience was being rushed. Our server Shawn was absolutely excellent! Such a pleasant experience that topped off the incredible meal. I stopped eating red meat over a decade ago and will on eat it on very seldom/ occasional celebrations. Typically, my stomach doesn't do well but this time around I had no issues which made me confident in the quality of their beef. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection as well as our steaks.

The menu was not too big but the food was exquisite with nice exploding flavors at the same time not overwhelming. Wine selection is nice from different parts of the world including US.. And the service was first class. I had the bone marrow as an appetizer, and the nuddi pasta just perfect. Thank you for a lovely evening of a culinary experience.

From my Milky Way Martini to the Parkerhouse Rolls to the Pork Belly appetizer. Followed by the Truffle Mac & Cheese & Apple Cider Soy Caramel Brussels Sprouts. Finally, the Beef Short Rib & Ribeye. It was all absolutely delicious. Service was awesome. We' ll definitely be back.

We went here for my birthday dinner and it was SO GOOD. The filet was cooked perfectly. The baked and fried potato was so freakin' delicious!! Wine was fantastic. The bartender made the best dirty martini I've ever had. Our waiter was so nice and easy to talk to. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back for our next steak fix! *Adding to this review- years later, nothing has changed. They are still perfect! We go here every year for our anniversary. Best service and food is A++ every single time. We get filet mignon every time. Brussel sprouts...omg. Photo of the 7 layer cake has been added. So delish.

Oak spoiled Alexandria Restaurant Week for me. Seriously, they are so excellent that no other place I visited that week came close to impressing me as much. Our server, Alexandria, was perfect. Appreciated that the manager took the time to check on us and see how eveything was, I always see that as a sign that a restaurant really cares about their customers & is well run. The food is incredible and the decor is perfect. Oak is refined, upscale yet approachable & welcoming. It really just strikes all the right notes. I will be back soon.

Best. Bread. Ever. I may have fallen in love with the bread. The churned butter is absolutely fantastic. The drinks are so good. The wagyu burger was tasty and huge, but if you're trying to go for a wagyu experience, this isn't it. For a $26 burger, it's enough to feed two people. The star of the show is the bread though; it's soft, and the seasoning on top of the bread works so well with the smooth butter, which doesn't taste greasy at all. I'd come back for the bread. Lovely place with wonderful employees. Thank you so much!

Went here with my family, including my son and his wife. So many things we wanted try. We started off with the shellfish platter which included oysters, shrimp cocktail, crab meat, and octopus. Well prepared, great presentation, and 100% Delicious. The 4 of us then had had our A5 wagyu steak brought to us, and we were so excited to try it, no one took time to get a photo of it. Amazing taste and perfect for a special treat. My son had NY Strip, and I had the 10 oz filet, while the other two had Grouper Which was the Oak Steakhouse's fish of the day. Took 2 minutes to find free parking close by, and if you ever have the opportunity to eat here, you need to jump at that chance.

Well, we did not actually have any steak here, but our experience was great nevertheless. Our waiter, Catherine, was friendly and helpful the entire time. We sat outside and it was very nice and relaxing. We had a few drinks, the seafood tower (oysters, shrimp, kind grab, and house ceviche) which was great, and the rolls. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and felt well taken care of, but not to the point of being watched. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Oak Steakhouse in Old Town Alexandria offers a delicious dining experience with expertly cooked steaks and a cozy atmosphere. Great date night spot. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Special mention to Ricky, our server, who was exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and created a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend for steak lovers!

The steak place for Old Town North. The general manager (Todd) manages well and it shows. A comfortable place for all. Highly recommended!

Celebrated Christmas dinner here with my family (grown sons and husband). Everything was above and beyond exceptional from the beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere, the service and the food. We were warmly welcomed by (I'm guessing) the owner or manager who explained the history of the restaurant which began in Charleston, SC. We started sharing some appetizers. The beef tartare, hummus platter and warm rolls were all delicious. Our dinners included the boneless ribeye, seabass special, the Wagyu burger and seared scallops with fennel gnocchi, avocado mousse and sherry rum sauce. Everything was perfectly prepared. The Pumpkin-Date Sticky Cake was over-the-top perfection. This place is an upscale restaurant so expect to find prices to be on the steep side. However, for a lovely and special-occasion experience, it is definitely worth it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to all my friends. This restaurant is only open for dinner. Get your reservation in!!

Restaurant is pricy but fantastic. We all ordered steaks that were delicious and cooked to perfection. Sides were great but portion could be a little bigger since they are listed to share for the table. Honestly barely enough for 2 people. But they were delicious. Dessert was very good also. The dimmed lighting is romantic. Definitely will return after I save up some money..

WOW. All I can say is ABOVE AND BEYOND. Full disclosure - I have not yet eaten here but I have heard the food is fantastic - so I will be dining here soon! What I can tell you is that the service here is amazing - I can't remember the last time I felt so taken care of at a restaurant. The manager and staff went well above my expectations to set up a special dinner for some dear friends of ours - allowing me to hand deliver flowers for their table in advance - and even offering a special dessert to celebrate their anniversary. I was just blown away by the helpful suggestions and the friendliness of the entire staff - this has jumped up to my #1 restaurant based on the service alone (and of course because my mouth was watering at the delicious aromas inside) - I cannot wait to go back!

Went for a date night and had an amazing experience. Our server was attentive and gave recommendations which did not disappoint. The Brussel sprouts are probably the best I’ve had and the steak was delicious. Will definitely be back!

I went recently with a group of 5-6 people. Greeted promptly upon sitting down, the service throughout the night was great. We all had steaks but one who had seafood dish and all the feedback was excellent. The Brussel sprouts were a fave at the table but we all sampled different sides and there wasn’t a crumb left. We ordered a couple desserts for the table cause we were all stuffed from dinner but glad we did, great desserts. Todd, the mgr, stopped by to ask about meal, if the service had been good, if there was anything we needed, etc which I thought was a nice touch. I saw him going table to table so Oak Steakhouse and Todd take pride in their restaurant. Highly recommend when in Old Town Alexandria.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary recently and really enjoyed the service and especially the delicious food. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the suggested à la carte sides were outstanding. Not to mention the amazing chefs twist on cheesecake. Wow! The manager Todd was politely attentive and showed us a great dining experience. We will be back !!

My husband and I had dinner at Oak Steakhouse and the steak frites were some of the best we’ve ever had. The steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Everything else we ordered was exceptional. The only miss for us was the mac and cheese, but overall it was a great experience and we’d definitely go back.

M
MC Dippenaar

Lovely restaurant and great atmosphere. It’s definitely a great steak, but if you’re used to the US’s best steakhouses in Houston and Dallas, then you’ll be disappointed. Tasted great, just wish it was seared more. I had the truffle butter with it and couldn’t really taste any truffle. The Brussel sprouts are great, and at my waiters recommendation I got the fries which were AMAZING.

We came here for our anniversary… it was on a slow weeknight, so they weren’t very busy, but the service provided by Enrique was spot on! The manager working that night was Todd and he was also engaging and attentive during our dining experience… The service from both was great! My only issue with service wasn’t related to them, but to the kitchen, as the courses came out wayyyy too quick, especially for a slow evening when there wouldn’t be another turn on our table at all. They have a really nicely orchestrated menu loaded with all the steakhouse favs, but with a slight southern flare to the preparation. We started with their shrimp cocktail and it was perfectly plated and flavorful! The cocktail sauce was decent, but not quite what I expect from a nice chophouse; nevertheless, it was really good! Next course was the wedge salad and that was really tasty… probably one of the best I’ve ever had! Their steak prep was spot-on, as I opted for their small filet for my main course. Wife’s main course was their pork chop and it was pretty big and she absolutely loved it! Not only would I highly recommend stopping in, we’ll definitely be back! But next time I’ll place my order in courses rather than all up front. There’s really never a reason to order all at once, you’ll end up with courses not being timed properly.

5 star steaks, 3 star burger so I landed on a 4. Friendly service, nice restaurant, better steak house than any in the surrounding area. Steak was cooked exactly as requested and had a unique char on the outside which gave it more flavor depth and texture to a steak I hadn’t had before now. Think burnt ends on a brisket. Smoky and still juicy. Portions for side dishes were perfect amount. As for burger, the bun was a complete flop. Almost asked to order something different since it was nearly like the bread had either sat out or was over cooked so it was brittle and stale. The beef and toppings were outstanding though, could have been a home-run with this had the bun been better. Been here 2 times, plan on definitely going back.

K

Steaks are good but not prime cut tender however almost not seasoning like salt and pepper? Perfectly cooked to order. Parkerhouse bread for $7 was average warm plain white bread with butter not worth the price. Sides of Mac cheese excellent! Brussels sprouts also excellent.

Went for wife’s birthday dinner on a Friday night. We were a bit late due to traffic but they accommodated our party without issue. Drinks were good (Dude Caramel and Old Fashioned). Sides were smaller than expected for shareable portions but delicious. Oyster Rockefeller was good. Bread was fluffy and butter was warm. STEAKS WERE BEAUTIFULLY SEASONED AND COOKED TO PERFECTION. The only qualm was the wait for entrees/steaks but everything else came with great timing. We will definitely be back

R

I mean if you're going to charge 80 bucks a steak you better nail that. That was what was sent out out as medium. sever had a wicked attitude. Not sure why. We were an easy party. For the money .. Not great. There's not a lot of atmosphere, it's like a cafeteria with nicer tables.

G
G H

Overpriced. $600 for table of 4, DC prices and frankly average quality steaks. $85 for a small ribeye, and sides are $13 each. With entree's, one basic drink each, 2 shared desserts, and tips, a table of four can easily break the $600 barrier. For that price I expect so much more.

N
Nathan

The steak was excellent, as were the drinks. However, the appetizers, sides, and service were mediocre or disappointing. For steak sauces the hollandaise and Bearnaise were pretty bad, but the horseradish sauce was solid. Stick to the steak and get a drink, and nothing else and you'll have a great time.

L
Lea W

Really just disappointing… This restaurant is the definition of mediocre. The service was decent, not great which I would’ve expected for the price range of the restaurant. The waiting time for the food to be served was incredibly long. We came to the restaurant at 1845 and ordered around 1910. The appetizers were served around 1940 and the mains were served at 2010. The food quality was at best alright. By the time it got served we were starving and would’ve eaten anything. Way too overpriced for what it was. Coming from Europe and working in the restaurant industry I was expecting a little bit more especially spending that much money. I would not consider to come back here again.

S
Stefan Mueller

This was one of the worst dinners I have ever had, and I am 74 years old. I ordered a 16-ounce ribeye. What arrived could not have been more than 12 ounces. It was overcooked, full of gristle, and completely lacking in flavor. For a steakhouse, this was unacceptable. The side dishes were served family style, which made no sense for a restaurant at this price point. They were sloppy to serve, poorly presented, and frankly awful. None of them had any flavor. Family-style sides belong in casual restaurants, not in an expensive steakhouse. We paid eight dollars for four rolls. They were bland and doughy, and not worth the price. The shrimp cocktail appetizer had no flavor at all and tasted like it had been frozen, thawed, and left sitting out. The oysters Rockefeller were drowned in a heavy cream sauce to the point where you could not taste the oyster at all. Another issue was the staff’s canned sales approach. The dining manager told us that nearly everything we were considering was his “favorite” and that we would “love it.” When our server came over, he said the exact same thing. Even the hostess repeated similar comments. It felt scripted and clearly aimed at pushing the most expensive items on the menu rather than offering honest recommendations. The restroom experience was also unpleasant. There was a strange odor coming from a mix of urine and heavily scented candles, including pineapple and evergreen scents, which only made the smell worse instead of masking it. To make matters worse, we were seated in a small booth right next to the kitchen. Before we were finished eating, staff began spraying cleaning chemicals and bleach nearby. The smell was overpowering and nearly made us gag, which only added to an already terrible meal. The total bill for two people was $223 including tip. We had no alcoholic beverages. The cost was ridiculous for the quality of food and the overall experience. This meal was expensive, poorly executed, and absolutely not worth it in any way. I would never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I treated my boyfriend to a nice birthday dinner and truly wanted the evening to feel special. To be fair, the night started off wonderfully. We were greeted warmly the moment we walked in, and every staff member we interacted with was kind, respectful, and attentive. Our cozy window seat and the overall ambiance created a lovely atmosphere that set high expectations for the meal. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to those expectations—especially considering the hefty price tags attached to each dish. We ordered the beef belly specifically because it was described as being served with bacon jam. Not only could we not taste the bacon jam, but when I asked our waitress about it, she explained that the portion is so small it’s barely visible on the plate. In my opinion, if a component is listed on the menu, it should be present enough to actually taste. That detail was the entire reason we chose the appetizer. My entrée, the sea scallop dish, was another disappointment. The scallops were tiny and not cooked the way I know they should have been. The sauces on the plate felt mismatched, and the so‑called “gnocchi” was nothing like gnocchi at all—the texture was unpleasant, and the flavor was off‑putting. I didn’t complain at the table because it’s a classy establishment, but I left feeling genuinely let down by the quality of the food. My boyfriend was given a complimentary birthday dessert, which I appreciated, but even that missed the mark. For a place of this caliber, I expected something memorable, and it simply wasn’t. After spending over $300 on dinner, I expected to walk out amazed, not regretting my choices. The best thing we ate all night was the Caesar salad, which says a lot about the overall experience. While the service and ambiance were wonderful, the food simply didn’t justify the cost, and that’s what ultimately made the evening disappointing.
