One of most favorite Korean BBQ restaurants in LA.. meat quality really good. dipping and side dish good too. Just few servers but they remember everything that you order without note
Every flavor feels carefully chosen and balanced. No complaints — I love their chairs and tables. They’re so comfortable it feels like you’re sitting at home.”
Order Tier C for sure the quality is much better than the other 2. I am a bit disappointed with the beef tartare though- it was frozen! How could we enjoy a beef tartare with ice in it? However salute to the server who did not charge us extra for not finishing the dish. I honestly enjoyed everything else. A very nice meal indeed with affordable price.
I had AYCE KBBQ for the first time a few days ago and loved it so much I had to get it again. This place is in Koreatown, with a large meat selection and lunch specials for a discounted price. You can pay extra for additional options, but we found the base lunch special to be plenty for us. We paid $32 for the AYCE basic selection. Highly recommend the beef belly! It’s a thin-cut slice of meat that just melts in your mouth. Very quick service and delicious meat, what more could you ask for! Definitely recommend this place for KBBQ if you’re in LA.
This is the kind of place that I like! Lively crowds, smoky grills, and a do-it-yourself KBBQ experience. They have three tiers of food selection and we went with the basic one. It had everything we needed and it’s AYCE for about $40! This place isn’t for everyone since they actually use charcoal in their grills for KBBQ so very smoky. You also have to cook it yourself so if you’re not into that then you won’t like it. For as busy as it was, service was good and we got multiple grill changes which I found very appreciative of to avoid food being burnt. They have simple banchan, but hits the spot. I really like this place for the deal and experience! Will definitely be coming back!
Great Korean BBQ at a premium -- 56.99/per person. As soon as we were sat we received so many sauces and little sides (A+). Good quality meats; my favorite meat was the basil chicken breast -- fire!!! We were there for so long and didn't get shoved out. I'm super happy that the staff allowed us to get our fill. 10/10 would def try again.
A great Korean BBQ spot for casual dining and really solid food. The wait is hit or miss since you cannot call ahead and have to show up and sign in but the meats are well worth the wait. We came on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend as a party of five and were seated within 30 minutes. The service is really responsive and meats come out quickly along with the unlimited sides. They do a cool birthday celebration too - I was lucky to witness it at a nearby table. Overall, I definitely recommend!
Jjukku Jjukku BBQ is an all you can eat local spot in Koreatown off Alexandria and 6th. The restaurant is location in a plaza alongside other restaurants, just up a small set of stairs. The menu breaks down in 3 offerings starting at 32.99 for the classic, 43.99 for the deluxe and 53.99 for the premium. The main differences between all the menus is the choices in meats, seafoods with a wider selection in the deluxe and premium. As soon as you sit down, you get a nice assortment of sides that include kimchi, macaroni salad, salad and great sauces and seasoning. We chose the classic option and picked 3 kinds of beef. All delicious and great quality. My fav was the beef belly. Service is fast and attentive. The ambiance is casual and features fun music including some K-pop classics. This is popular spot so you might have to wait to get in but it’s super worth it! Parking can be found on the street and is free after 6pm.
I had dinner with friends here at this KBBQ all you can eat. We had the deluxe for All you can eat. Marinated boneless short rib was to die for. Sits and table are small. We were all cramped up. Waiters are attentive and are all nice. Answers all our questions, and suggested meats to try. Soft tofu was delish!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Jjukku Jjukku BBQ is a solid AYCE Korean BBQ option in K-town. They have 3 different options to choose from: Classic for $37.99, Deluxe for $48.99, or Premium for $57.99. I went with Deluxe because that option includes the beef finger meat, beef tongue, marinated boneless short rib, LA short rib, etc. If you get the Premium option, you get the Prime cuts of meat (prime boneless short rib, ribeye, etc.). Service was decent at Jjukku Jjukuu... until it started getting busy. Then, it become more difficult to flag down the servers to order. There's a 2 hour dining limit and I recommend you come early before the place fills up. Parking can also be a little tricky in this area. There are paid parking lots within a couple blocks. I recommend parking there vs. looking for street parking.
There was a big group of us and we decided to take 3 tables in the corner. The service was great our food was delicious. The menu had 3 different options and we were happy with the first option at the lowest cost. Only problem was it got incredibly Smokey pretty fast. Do wish they had a bit better ventilation. Even with the front door open it got a bit difficult for us to focus over the smoke. They changed out our plates frequently too.
A very popular AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant. There are 3 sets of food menus to choose from with prices ranging from $26.99 to $43.99. The differences are in the meat selection and seafood added for the more expensive option. Once the set is selected, you can order from any items on that set and the server will bring them out for you to bbq on the charcoal grill. I think because of the older equipment and the crowded seating arrangement, the restaurant is filled with smoke at times, it's hard to breath. The meat selections are very good. I liked the briskets and the curry beef. They were tender and tasty. I also liked their steam egg and spicy tofu. However, beware of all the sugar in the marinated meats. The tables were crowded with very little spaces between them. The chairs were not very comfortable either. I guess we went for the food, not for comfort. But service was very good as our server was very attentive and quick to respond. He also changed our BBQ grill plate often. Parking can be either at the garage underneath the building or on the street. They do validate for 30 minutes of parking.
Service from Avery was awesome. Atmosphere was good. The meat was just meh, it didn’t really have any flavor. Some of the brisket was frozen and just stuck to the plate.
The food was good, but the service was not ideal. They sat us at our table and didn’t bring us any water or ask if we wanted any drinks. They asked us if we were ready to order food within 30 seconds of us sitting down. They didn’t come by to check on us, we had to flag them down multiple times to get food, additional food, water refill, napkins, basically anything we needed. When they brought us more meat they didn’t replace the grill and it started a fire, which quickly grew and we couldn’t smother it. The grill had to be turned off and completely smothered out. And the server that helped us smother it and relight the grill after was very nice. All in all we had a good time, but I would go somewhere with better service. We also watched someone slip on a wet floor and almost knock over a tray because it wasn’t A)cleaned up and B) there was no sign. When we first arrived it was not busy there were maybe 3 groups in the restaurant. By the time we left it got busier and the wet floor was understandable with how busy they were but still should have been a bigger priority because of the tripping hazard.
Reasonably priced all you can eat Korean BBQ. Pretty big space with room for small and large parties. Service is very fast, almost too fast. We found it kind of hard to fully enjoy or relax. Portions size is good. They give a fair amount of sides but not a lot. Ventilation is ok, not great. Overall a good experience for basic Korean BBQ. Street parking.
They offered outdoor dinne in. We arrived at 10:20 pm and waited for 1 hour and 20 min to enter. The staff were very busy and the attitude wad just so so. The bbq smelled great and the actual taste was just average. I don't like the pork belly. Recommend the beef belly. But the portion of beef belly is very small, much smaller than the pork ones. The last call for food is 12 am. So we didn't get the chance to order the beef belly again.
Very bad experience here. Their hours are listed as open until 1 AM yet they actually close at midnight. This wasn’t told to us when we got seated. Despite feeling rushed, we tried our best to make the best of the experience. We ordered the premium AYCE. The main reason why we ordered it was to have the beef tartar. Immediately the brisket comes out frozen… like rock hard frozen. This was an easy fix as after setting it on the grill it cooked easily. The quality was OK. Now, when the beef tartare came out, after 20 mins of waiting it was also rockhard solid frozen. We could not eat it. We politely told the server that the tartar was frozen and asked if we could have another one, instead of apologizing and trying to offer a solution she responded with “if you don’t like it you don’t have to eat it”… umm what? I was actually baffled why are we paying premium prices for food that is not edible? Ok.. let’s give the other meats a chance. The grill was burning out food and I had to get up and ask for another grill as nobody came to check on us at all when there was only two parties eating in the entire restaurant. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHECK! They made multiple errors with bringing out our check. Initially, we were charged for another parties check, we had to be bothered 4 times during our meal with check issues and trying to get it paid!!! Once the charge processed, they also ended up charging me an unauthorized tip and sent me a FORGED receipt with a forged signature! Their server literally put in a tip for herself on my card. This is fraud. Do NOT come here
