My husband and I went here for a date trying local restaurants. Service and food was great. The cashier was friendly and recommended I sign-up for their reward program. I wish I had known about it in Jan. when I visited with a group. We look forward to returning and trying different items.
Amazing experience at village burger bar Allen location always , food is amazing so is the location where it is located . Wanted to highlight great customer service I received , I ordered uber eats so I can do takeout and do picnic style dinner in the lawn outside . But I ordered from wrong location , but when I realized it staff here went above and beyond not just to fulfill my order in very short duration of time but came and hand it over to me personally . Rare to find such level of customer service and this location consistently delivers both on quality of food and customer service .
Updated Review – A Much-Improved Experience I want to start by thanking the team at VILLAGE BURGER BAR ALLEN for inviting me back after a previously disappointing visit. I was kindly offered a complimentary meal, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to give the restaurant another try. This second experience was a significant improvement. The Cheese Burger was cooked to perfection this time. Juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you'd hope for from a place that takes pride in its burgers. The service, as always, was attentive and welcoming. Michael and his team clearly care about their guests experience, and it shows. They made a genuine effort to ensure everything went smoothly, and it really made a difference. Thank you again for the invitation it’s clear the team values feedback and is committed to getting things right. I’m happy to say I’ll be back again, this time with full confidence. A must go!!!! My First review: I really wanted to love this place and make it my go-to burger spot, especially since I recently moved nearby & we were celebrating my son’s birthday.. Unfortunately, I was a little bit disappointed with the cheeseburger. The beef patty was a bit dry and had a slight chewy texture. While the ingredients, the bread and sauce were excellent, the lack of juiciness in the patty made the overall experience less memorable ⚔️— which is a real shame, because the atmosphere here is outstanding. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the setting is fantastic. To truly perfect their burger, they need to master the beef patty — it should be more tender and juicy. On a positive note, the sweet potato fries are out of this world. This place has everything it needs to be perfect, but it's missing one crucial element: a great juicy & tender beef patty.🔥
I came in tonight for my first time and was very pleased with my experience! There was a large party celebrating a birthday but I still received all the service and help i needed. Kenny and Nicole created a relaxed, friendly vibe for the restaurant and my salad was phenomenal. I feel awful as I realized I left no tip because you pay upfront and was too much in a rush to consider otherwise. I will definitely have to show them some more love when I come back soon with family and co-workers! I’m glad I gave it a try and I definitely have been missing out!
If you're hankering for some delicious burger and beer, Village Burger Bar got you covered! Great choice of beers on tap, from Yuengling to Lakewood -- and without breaking your wallet! Burgers are grilled to perfection, with just the amount of juiciness without grease dripping down your arm. The sweet potato fries are delicious and our son completely devoured the shareable order on his own. This is one local burger joint we'll definitely return to.

My senior group went to Village Burger Co. for lunch and it was a very good experience. We got there when they first opened @ 11am. Kenny was working the bar and taking orders. He was very thorough and courteous. We decided to sit outside, it was a beautiful day. Our food came promptly and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. I ordered the Better Cheddar burger which was very tasteful, I could taste the goodness of the beef burger, it is basically a classic cheeseburger. Delicious! Some of the others said that the chicken sandwich was terrific and all of the many dishes they ordered. I would highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions.
I had an amazing experience at Village Burger Bar in Allen and want to take a moment to shine a light on Michael, who truly made my visit unforgettable. His professionalism, politeness, and attention to detail were beyond impressive — easily some of the best service I’ve experienced in all my years of working in and visiting restaurants across the country. Michael is a hidden gem; his genuine care for guests and natural ability to make everyone feel welcome set a gold standard for hospitality. The food was phenomenal! The Dougie Burger was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and absolutely worth recommending. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, making it the perfect spot for everything from a casual meal to catching up with friends. And the shoe string fries — wow. Crispy, golden, and dangerously addictive — they might just change your life. I also want to highlight the bartender, Ed, who was equally outstanding. Every drink he crafted was perfect, showing true skill and pride in his work. Having been in the restaurant industry for many years, I can confidently say that this place stands out among the best. Michael runs this location with a level of warmth, class, and professionalism that makes you feel like there’s still good in the world — the same kind of comforting feeling you get walking into a Barnes & Noble on Christmas Day. Village Burger Bar continues to impress, but it’s people like Michael and Ed who take it to another level. I’ll definitely be back soon.

We’ve been enjoying the food at Village Burger Bar since they first opened their Watters Creek location in Allen, TX. They’re still serving the best tasting burgers around and their grilled chicken or portobello options are also amazing. If you’re into sweet potato fries—you’ve got to try them, they’re crunchy and delicious. They’re always busy but worth the wait in line to order.
Loved my portobello mushroom burger with goat cheese, red bell pepper, and red onions with basil mayo on a gluten-free bun. My husband and I split some sweet potato fries, which we asked to be extra crispy. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching.
#vegetarian review Visited this place for Friday lunch and it was a house full… luckily got a table 2 in the patio (as the weather was awesome). We had to order before taking a seat. Self made burger : 5/5 : the burger was so yum. We had black bean patty (don’t like plant based so) added sauted onion, capsicum, tomato, American cheese and few sauces. It tasted so good and was filling Sides : French fries : 4/5 : their fries are thinner than the usual ones but do taste great Sides : sweet potato fries: 5/5 : this were so good, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside and went perfect the dip that they severed. Will be next time for onion rings and truffle fries because they were looking so good on others plate. (Sorry for pepping)
Cheap delicious drinks. No waiters which I like. Sides must be added to most entrees meaning if you order a burger you’ll need to ask and pay more for French fries as a side. But they’re worth it - Their French fries are on point. Bathroom gets busy as it is one toilet per gender which means there are often lines and it gets nasty.
Teach me how to Dougie Burger is amazing. We also ordered the sweet potato fries. I didn't realize they were going to be shoe string cut, but they were surprisingly great. They were crispy but still with that soft sweet potato chew. We didn't order them this time, but the Onion rings looks really good... They also have a nice front and side porch. Food was delicious, service at counter was quick and helpful for being my first time visiting. Being my first time in that area my perception based on the name is it was a full service restaurant specializing in gourmet Burgers with a sit down bar. It is a counter help place where you order when arrive then they bring it to the table. They do have beer, margaritas and a nice outdoor area to eat. I would also consider this place to be family friendly. Play my music it also seemed to be clean and well kept.
I love Village Burger bar and their burgers are amazing! Today I decided to get a salad because I’ve heard they are amazing. I got the crispy chicken and bacon ranch salad and it was definitely not my favorite. The chicken was over fried and similar to chicken bites you would get in a convenience store. I hate to leave that Hirsch review about it, but I’m hopeful they will fix it and this is not typical.
For a sit-down burger joint, this ranks on the higher end for me with their offerings. I don't normally crave burgers, and there are many other burger restaurants around DFW, but I still find myself craving VBB. I order their truffle fries every time and many of their burgers are good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and is a nice place to stop for food if you're already in Watters Creek shopping. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for better than fast food burgers at a wallet friendly price (well, given the average burger price these days).
Order at the counter Burgers and bar in Watters Creek. Parking is a hassle as are all the stores in the area. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean and in good order. About half the seating is inside, the rest is on the dog friendly covered patio. Menu has good selection of burgers and sandwiches. You can also custom order your own burger from all the different ingredients. Inside can get rather noisy. Service was friendly but a little slow. Burger and fries were good but not excellent. Recommend
This place is a must try for value for money. Prices are pretty reasonable given the prime location in the middle of watters creek. They have drink specials for each day...I loved their ritas on Friday ! First impression the Village Burger Bar. It has a nice sports bar feel to it because of all the TVs. The host (person behind the bar that took my order) was less than friendly. The food was hot and fresh (the Better Burger and shoestring fries). I'm not a fan of the shoestring fries (though they did taste good). My friends and I visit this place very often, and we usually have a great experience. However, I would like to point out an issue with one of your employees - bartender Nicole. She is the only one who pours only half a cup of Margarita (for takeaway). None of the other bartenders do this, only her. Please pay attention to this matter, as you might lose loyal and regular customers because of such service
We’ve given this place three chances, but the experience just doesn’t improve. Every visit, we encounter the same issues: tables left uncleared, bathrooms in poor condition, and consistently overcooked burgers. Every single time—overcooked. On our last visit, my wife ordered the mushroom burger, and it came with literally two pieces of mushroom.
