Christmas pop up was 10/10! The perfect girls night out spot. Everything was absolutely delicious. The fondue, salmon, smash burger and fries. Brussels were sold out which speaks for itself 😮 Drink were a bit more strong than anticipated but they were super cute so I was there for it 🤭 Highly recommend! Such a fun vibe and amazing food at The Cape! The restaurant in winter has a “pop up” Après-ski theme which is a French term that means "after skiing" and refers to social activities and relaxation that take place after a day on the slopes. It typically includes enjoying food and drinks, socializing, and unwinding in a festive atmosphere. Nearby at The Avalon is outdoor ice skating, upscale shopping and a movie theatre.

Had a lovely luncheon with friends. The food was amazing. Really enjoyed it. Our server was less than impressive. Barely cracked a smile and disappeared to long periods of time. Thankfully the food was great!

EVERYTHING about this restaurant is an experience! The Food is simply amazing! My server made the most exquisitely refreshing cocktail! The ambience is purposefully delightful! I have recommended this place and will continue to do so!

Lovely beach-style restaurant with a modern, eclectic twist. HVAC chills to the max to give you that escape from the beach feel. Plants on the ceiling are a nice touch to give you that Atlantic Georgia coast vibe although a little on the expensive side.

I really enjoyed the food. My server Jasmine was great. I didn’t like how small the venue really was. It didn’t appear as advertised on instagram. I went for the Christmas vibes and it was a bit underwhelming. I would love to go back during the summer. My friend said the rooftop was nice so it would’ve been cool if they had sealed the top with the same material they created the igloos with. I had the shrimp tempura roll, the shrimp tacos and the mistletoe margarita and I loved it.

Okay, listen up. The atmosphere is quaint. We wanted to sit on the rooftop but it was not open. We did get to sit outside. The inside is also beautiful. The waiter was very kind and attentive. We had the Smashburger which was delicious. It was fun to walk around the Avalon. Just a beautiful place to have lunch and enjoy just being.

The only reason I’m giving four stars is because the appetizer that I got the little subpar. Everything else was great. I really enjoyed my family and a drink I got was strong! I didn’t eat inside so I can’t talk too much about atmosphere, but the outside patio Downstairs was pretty nice to sit at. I’ll love to try the second floor seating area next time. I’ll be back.

This is a great spot with some amazing options and a very attentive and help staff. The decor transports you away on vacation and the drinks leave no stone unturned. 10/10! Highly recommend! We have a few things but you must try the popcorn and the Ostrich Sliders!

My first time dining here. I sat at the bar. It was a busy Friday evening. I ordered the frozen espresso martini. It was a 10 out of 10. The bartender suggested my entree and I cleaned my plate. He suggested the 10 oz Picanha which consists of chimichurri steak served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It sounds simple, but the taste was impeccable on my palette. The ambience of The Cape is absolutely stunning. A vibe was definitely giving the entire evening. I enjoyed the music selection as well. You must visit. I ordered me a frozen espresso martini to go!!☺️

This is probably THEE BEST restaurant in the Avalon!!! Went here on the fly and was pleasantly surprised at how quick the food came out and how GREAT it taste!! Truly you could probably get full off of all the appetizers! If you can't make up your mind... get everything. Oh and I love the ketchup (it's not regular ketchup)

They helped me celebrate my daughter’s birthday! I requested roof top and they had everything ready including the heaters! They let me decorate as I pleased. Our server was amazing and the food was delicious. I love this place for a creative atmosphere and delicious drinks! Thank you The Cape!

Delicious food and a select menu. The service is first-rate, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the people who visit are very friendly. My partner and I will definitely be back!

Our food was delicious and the service was friendly, our waitress was very attentive also and our waters never sat empty! Our reservation was for 11:30, we showed up at 11:21 and were very rudely told by the hostess girl that “the restaurant isn’t open”. We were from out of town and didn’t know the area well so we were forced to sit outside in the cold until they “opened” the hostess girl was incredibly rude but luckily for her we had an amazing server who took care of us which redeemed the entire experience. I would recommend going here for lunch or dinner!

The ambiance is set with low lighting. The restaurant is beautiful, starting from the outside and it just gets better inside. Our server was great, and the food was exceptional! I got the veracruz salmon with broccolini and a pomegranate palmer. Great date night option!

Great food and service. We've come back to this location about five times and every time we are absolutely astonished and amazed. The service is upscale and the waitstaff is on the ball and knowledgeable. The drinks especially the cowboy are incredibly unique. I've never seen a menu quite like it it definitely takes you to a new area of food that most locations don't have. Does level of African upscale cuisine is Sensational. This place is definitely one of our favorites. For good reason, this place is extremely popular so make sure you have a reservation.

After a fun filled day wedding shopping in Avalon we popped in for some fast libations before our real dinner 😹 Girls day out isn’t complete without drinks and appies am I right?!? We shared just a few small snacks and it was just what we needed!

Very cool spot with tasty meals. We visited for a date night and really enjoyed our time there. The service wasn’t the greatest but chalking that up to us arriving next to closing time on a busy night. I tried the red snapper and it was amazing. Wife really enjoyed her salmon salad as well. Definitely recommended!

After reading multiple reviews stating the food was disappointing, I can now say that I disagree. From the Wild Mushroom Soup to the Crab Dip to the Peri-Peri Prawns Tacos, the food was all delicious. I also enjoyed 2 Holiday Cocktails: Clausmopolitan and Jack Frosted Eggnog. Our server was James, and he’s excellent. I can not wait to visit again.

Celebrated my Bday here for Dinner!!! Food was Great!!! Drinks were on point. I ordered the snapper, I had better, it was a little small ,not as meaty, lamb chops were good, crab dip 😋

Micheal A was amazing, his smile and hospitality made my entire day. His service was spectacular and he made my experience worth while. The general manager Karina was very friendly as well. Her recommendations and knowledge of menu was super impressive. Karina also made my experience enjoyable, if I could give more than 5 stars I could. I had the crab dip and espresso martini which was great! I’m so glad I stopped by, and I’ll definitely be back more often.

Loved loved loved The Cape! I cannot believe it took us so long to decide to try it! I cannot wait to go back! Great atmosphere and service. We comfortably dined at the bar. Our bartender was nice and professional (I forgot his name maybe Orosario?). Karina, the manager on duty, was so kind to come and talk to us to make sure our ‘first time’ was pleasant. We tried the tuna tataki, the frittura mista, the ground beef crepes (OMG), and the lamb chops. Delizioso! The pomegranate margarita one of the best margaritas I have had! What else can I say? Oh yeah, it’s in Avalon so plenty of parking and lots of shopping!

Last min res on Easter.Decor clean and eloquent with a coastal vibe. Server fab! My cocktail has vodka, vanilla, lime etc and was divine!Hummus and popcorn apps. Both very tasty. Hummus a little salty but off set with greens. Spicy tuna roll. Finished all off w/chocolate hazelnut cake and glass of wine. My husband got 1 drink and a veggie bowl w/a fry.Bill $130. Worth it!We will be back but spec. occasion place for us bcuz price.

What a beautifully decorated restaurant. Love the Beach Haus theme, not overly decorated, just enough, classy and clean. The food was amazing, from our appetizers to our entrees. Sister location to Yebo in Atlanta, so being this is in our neighborhood is amazing. Service was great and attentive. We will be back for dinner next time.

Strolled into this place after a business dinner for a cocktail. Was meant by a very bubbly and pleasant bar tender - Belle. Atmosphere was awesome. Highly recomend this spot. Ordered an espresso Martin and Belle let me know they had a frozen version. I was skeptical at first but it was delicious. Must try! Service was exceptional the hour I was there. Thank Belle and Cape team..

I've been to this restaurant many times. I’ve even arranged to meet friends there. However, I will never go again because my friends could not find parking places and ended up aborting the meeting. One friend flew from San Francisco to meet me at The Cape. He drove 45 minutes around the facility. He finally found one parking place. How embarrassing for me? Poor guy.So very sad. I love the food, but I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Maybe I’ll just take an Uber to the restaurant eat my wonderful lunch or dinner and then go home with an Uber Momma nature.

The food was so delicious 😋 Brian, our server was fabulous and he recommended the Bobotie crepes, the Sosaties, and the Winter Salad for lunch. O-M-G!! I haven’t had such a great tasting lunch in a long time. 👍Highly recommend 😍

I had a business dinner at The Cape. Eric, our waiter, did an excellent job taking care of my special dietary needs - I have Celiac. He was also very knowledgeable about the food. The service was quick and efficient!

The Cape has become one of our favorite places in Alpharetta. The food and drinks have been amazing every time, the atmosphere has such a great vibe, and the management and staff are wonderful. They always go above and beyond to make the experience even better.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a delightful date night at The Cape Restaurant and Beach Bar, nestled in the heart of Avalon shopping mall in Alpharetta, GA. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host at the door, setting a positive tone for the evening. The restaurant features three distinct dining areas: the main floor, an outdoor balcony, and an upstairs section. We opted for the upstairs area, which offered a cozy ambiance. Upon being seated, the host informed us of a 20% gratuity charge, which we appreciated knowing upfront. For our appetizers, we initially wanted to try the chicken spring rolls but were informed they were unavailable. Instead, we decided on the Caesar salad, which was fresh and satisfying. For my main course, I went with the Peri Peri Shrimp Tacos, bursting with flavor, while my husband enjoyed the Smash Burger, which he also found to be quite good. To complement our meals, I chose a mimosa, and my husband opted for a refreshing passion fruit mocktail. Overall, The Cape offers a beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and a varied menu that caters to different tastes. We left feeling satisfied and would definitely return for another visit!

I had a really nice lunch with my girlfriend at The Cape at Avalon. I had a mocktail, a cocktail, and the blackened salmon, and everything was solid — no complaints at all. The food was pretty tasty, but the patio dining is what really made the experience stand out. The atmosphere outside is beautiful and made the whole meal feel more special. Combined with the food and drinks, it was a great way to spend an afternoon. I’d definitely come back, especially when the weather’s nice.

The Cape, located in the Avalon, was perfect for a meetup with friends! We visited over Valentine's weekend, and the ambiance was brimming with love-themed decor. The intimate atmosphere is accentuated by its exquisite decorations. Whether you're in a small group or a larger one, there's ample seating available alongside a fully stocked bar. The service was excellent. The host promptly greeted us, retrieved my reservation, and seated our party of four. Our server was also very courteous and attentive throughout our meal. Arriving around lunchtime, we opted for a selection of fries, sushi rolls, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts, all of which proved equally satisfying. For my main course, I chose the tacos accompanied by coconut rice. The portion size was generous; I could only finish one of the two tacos on my platter. A couple of additional points to note: this establishment offers a gender-neutral restroom, and the signature candle of The Cape adds a distinctive touch. Furthermore, the presence of a free parking deck in the plaza is a convenient perk.

We came for the Pink Christmas Popup 🎄. We’d never been before and we reserved two tables- one for 3 of us and one for our teenage daughter and a friend so they could have their own experience. The hostess was EXTREMELY rude about it. After arguing with us, she consulted a manager who honored our reservations and then she proceeded to sit my group directly behind the hostess stand with a fully empty restaurant ( that never filled). A terrible table. But thanks to the best waitress, Kayla, we ended up having a great experience. She was truly wonderful to both of our tables! The sushi apps were both delicious. My husband enjoyed the halibut and the fries with the curry ketchup! And the drinks were delicious. Hostess could really use some work but Kayla saved our experience! We will be back again.

The Cape Restaurant at Avalon: The Cape boasts excellent food. The festive holiday touches, peppermint espresso martini, and the curry beef crepe with hollandaise sauce and classic french fries were all delightful. The flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was appealing. However, the service left something to be desired. Several staff members walked past me without a greeting or a check-in, which felt a bit pretentious and inattentive. Overall: Despite the service shortcomings, the delicious food makes The Cape worth a visit. I recommend trying the curry beef crepe( bobotie). Ciao🌺

My friends and I visited this place to chill out during the winter time. They have outdoor seating which we really liked a lot. The restaurant has one of the best decor, even the servers were welcoming. We ordered hummus for snacks, we felt the quantity was less. The drinks were good [ dont remember the names ] Overall its a nice high end restaurant to hang out and chill with friends and would definitely recommend it.

My boyfriend, nephew and I dined in at 1130 am for lunch on a Thursday. Our server (female) was absolutely amazing. I am so sorry I forgot her name but it was 10/5/23. Long light brown/blonde hair. Magnetic personality. She was very knowledgeable about the spices and the menu. She answered all of our questions and was very attentive. My nephew ordered the shrimp sushi roll. Tasted amazing and flavorful. I had the ostrich sliders (excellent) and a Caesar salad. my boyfriend had salmon. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The ambiance was chill and relaxing. See pics. We will return. No issues.

My wife and I love this place, it's such a sexy date vibe. The service can be a little slow sometimes but overall it's always a good time. The mussels are a MUST TRY, we enjoyed the crab dip as well but their Caesar salad is AMAZING, the garbanzo beans really set it off. Last time we tried the halibut with the broccolini and coconut rice that was delicious as well. The cocktails are all well crafted, taste amazing and they're strong. We can't wait to return.

Came for the Pink Christmas Pop-Up bar 💗💕 and I truly enjoyed the cocktails: Mistletoe Margarita, The Naughty List, and the Jack Frosted Eggnog. Help I had all three. I sat outside in the igloo, and I loved it. The staff was very welcoming and nice. The service was great! Menu is simple and not crowded. Dishes were allll new to me lol Beautiful location with great date vibes. I love the Pink Christmas idea. Very cuteeeeee!! I came in my festive attire 🎄 First time trying Halibut recommended by my server. It was ok not for me, but I'm sure if you love Halibut, you may be a fan. Paired with a sauce, rice, and broccoli. Shrimp Tempura Rolls 🍤 were yummy tasted freshly made. 😋 The Brussels Sprouts were missing something for me and cooked a min too long, in my opinion. Finished with Tiramisu to satisfy my sweet tooth. Great place to visit in Alpharetta, GA

Their Pink Holiday vibe is not to be missed! So cute! We enjoyed the crab dip, along with the peri peri prawns tacos and shrimp tempura sushi. We really like this place, but wish the menu was more extensive. The holiday drinks, however, were great. The Jack Frosted Eggnog was frozen and yummy, so much so that my husband made it his second drink.

Great night out at The Cape Restaurant & Beach Bar. We could see a few South African influences and tried a few of them on the menu. Can definitely recommend the Bobotie Crepes, which pairs well with a Windhoek Lager. We also tried the Peri Peri Shrimp and Curry Salmon. During the festive season we would highly recommend the holiday cocktails. 😀 Service was super attentive as well.

Relaxed beach setting. The lunch menu looked a lot like a dinner menu… but the halibut was good. The service was fast and friendly. I expected to see a TV at the bar, but they did not have one. Good spot for a date.

As 3 South Africans we loved the food here! It was great. The service was good aside from the fact that we got seated over 15 mins past our original reservation time which has never happened to any of us before! The food was good and enjoyable, the thing that really lets this place down is its drinks. The drinks look very pretty in Christmas these right now but they are awful! The first cocktail we had to send back because you couldn't even drink it out of the straw it came with, the whipped cream tasted off and when you could actually taste the drink it was not pleasant at all! Swapped that for a plain espresso martini and it was the worst one I had ever tried! It was watery yet tasted so strongly of vodka! Not vanilla vodka might I add, was not sweet or creamy in the slightest and just awful. 3 espresso beans on top does not make a martini. The peppermint martinis were just as bad! Would really recommend a better mixologist or better alcohol. Aside from that the restaurant was great, it looked very nice for Christmas but could do with more space! Not intimate at all very on top of eachother

So the food was edible but overpriced. Service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The probably spend more on decorations than making the actual food. The soup of the day was French onion. At $16 you'd think you'd get the traditional size ,but its a tiny cup and the puff pastry was the size of a half dollar. I was starving so I did eat everything I ordered. The ostrich sliders were charred so if they had a distinct flavor I couldn't tell. The sever was lovely so he did make up for the gut punch ticket price. I tried the sliders bc I was intrigued but not worth it.

We had a nice dinner and enjoyed the decor but the evening was unfortunately marked by the lack of disclosure that there was a 22% gratuity already included. I guess this is the disadvantage of paying at the table, no time to clearly review your bill. I knew the suggested tip seemed off but thought it was because we split the bill so I went ahead with my normal 20%. To add to it, the service was not great, as we had to wave down our waiter every single time we needed something. I'm not a fan of automatic gratuity overall, and especially when its a small party (there were only 2 of us), but not disclosing is just shady business.

The frozen eggnog drinks are amazing. But when I asked for a side order of mayonnaise to go with my french fries… And the server came back explaining that I wasn’t allowed to get any… We thought it was a joke ! He was not joking… The server explained the kitchen was running low on mayonnaise and they were not able to give me any. My girlfriend and I just laughed… Still believing he was joking. He kept apologizing… And let me know that it was no joke. I couldn’t even get 2 or 3 tablespoons worth of mayonnaise… after spending $16 per drink(s). I can assure you, I have never been refused mayonnaise in my life ! I was glad I didn’t order the burger… What if I had asked for mayonnaise for that ? And there’s a grocery store in the shopping center across the road…

I ordered the Sosaties (Filet Minon and rice) to go. This was the serving size they gave me for $20 (pictured). Someone at my table ordered a non alcoholic beverage to go and it came in a cup the size of a mouthwash cup. The sushi rolls and drink were fine. The food is overpriced for the serving size. We asked for a heated igloo. We were not informed that the igloo zipper to the door was broken. We were outside and it was 40° out. There were two heaters inside the igloo and they were both the size of the palm of my hand. It was cold. We asked to be relocated inside. They should let customers know this ahead of time and let them decide if they want to sit outside or not. We could have just sat outside on a park bench if we wanted to be cold. Will NEVER return to this restaurant again.

We had an issue with our order and the macho manager arrived on scene with an attitude. I’ve never been spoken to with such disrespect at an establishment over a misunderstanding about the bill and I will never be here again. The staff is lovely, decor is nice, but the manager cursing at me and my brother when we were communicating with nothing but respect was completely unwarranted and unacceptable. I don’t recommend eating here if you want to leave happy. I know you are reading this, yes, this is what you get. 1 star

I had heard a lot of great things about this restaurant, and I was eager to try it. Our waitress was wonderful and very polite. But I’m going to get the food a one star. I ordered the shrimp tacos. It only comes with two for some reason I thought it would be three. They were hands-down, the worst shrimp tacos I have ever had. The shrimp I guess are boiled. They are tasteless and then it was topped with corn and a sauce. The corn and sauce were cold And the flavor was just completely off. I’m not sure what it was, but I could not finish the mail and I never usually leave a Shrimp taco.

Wish I could give negative stars. My mother made a reservation for 11 of us weeks in advance for my birthday, and they sat us down and didn’t greet us for 30 minutes. We decided to finally leave and found a server and the manager outside doing nothing. During that 30 minute duration of waiting, we were asking other servers that were walking by if we were going to get waited on and everyone ignored us. When I found the manager outside, I confronted her and all she had to say was she’s so sorry she’s on the phone as if that excuses our 30 minute wait time. I myself have been in the service industry for 10+ years and I would never treat my customers this way. I also want to point out that they were not shortstaffed. The restaurant was barely full, as our reservation was at 4 PM in the afternoon on a sunday. it was especially annoying because my grandmother cannot walk well and had to walk a long way into the restaurant to get seated just for us to have to get back up and find a new restaurant that would take us at the last minute. Please save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. We ended up at Rumi’s kitchen, which ended up being amazing customer service.
