Opinions de Bread & Breakfast Alpine
Best biscuits I’ve ever had!!! I’m from the Midwest, have lived all over the country and currently live in the foodie capital of Texas - Austin. I love biscuits, and when done right, they knock your socks off! I left sock-less! 🚫🧦 The biscuits Cherry (biscuit maker) baked up were savory, flavorful, crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. Best of all, it’s amazing texture held the sandwich just right! It didn’t fall apart until you got it in your mouth. Y’all, I’m blown away. Cherry’s biscuits are **chefs kiss**!!! 🤌🏻🤌🏻 I will be dreaming of these biscuits for a lifetime! 🤤
I’ve lived in big cities with high end bakeries but this bakery gives a very homemade, wholesome vibe that you can’t get in other places. Kind customer service and a lovely slow pace in this small town. The type of place that makes you reflect and enjoy your food with the ones you love. Really great sourdough breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll that wasn’t too sweet and crispy. Happy we stopped by!
Great baked goods and coffee! Easy to find and parking was also super easy. We had fruit and cream cheese croissants and they were perfect--just the right amounts of fruit and not too sweet. My friend also had a yummy chocolate chip scone. The service and atmosphere were great, too.
When I tell you that this was probably the best sourdough biscuit I have ever had IN MY LIFE. I am NOT being dramatic. It was incredibly fluffy and delicious, and I cannot believe we only got one on a whim on our way out of town. I wish we got 20. Rearrange your entire travel plans to be able to stop here. Phone couldn't even eat first because we were so excited. The sweet college girl who helped me out was also an angel!
If you are in the area, you must stop. The shop owner was so kind and patient and friendly. The waffle plate was Ah-mazing. So were the breakfast sandwiches and warm cinnamon rolls- all made with sour dough base. Grabbed some fresh local beef while there as well. Thank you Gabby!
Delicious cinnamon rolls that we warmed up, delicious sourdough breakfast sandwich. Coffee was hot and strong like we love it. We bought a Mediterranean sourdough loaf for the road. Friendly service. Plenty of seating, great location. Great place to stop on your way to BBNP and out. We will be back!
The chocolate chip scone I had was incredibly fresh and tender. Delicious with my honey oat milk latte. My husband wanted a cold latte, but they only had hot drinks. The sourdough scones/filled pastries we took back to our VRBO were truly unique and outstanding in flavor. Makes me want to return to Alpine and I live eight hours away!!! Although we received good service, I did notice a team of out of town firefighters get ignored when they came in by the barista who was busy helping a friend. Maybe they wanted more of a deli than a bakery situation. But who knows? Barista didn’t even ask them what they needed. We also spoke to one of the bakers, a hard-working young man who proudly told us he had made the scone I was enjoying. Delicious baked goods.
Tried the breakfast sandwich. Best part was bread was made fresh and they put a good amount of meat, cheeese, and egg. I love that they have a little kids area so you can eat while your kids play. Cute place I would definitely come again.
Service was great. Very polite staff. Sour dough cookies 🍪 🤤. Very good! Breakfast sandwich was small, but with a generous serving of white cheddar cheese. Looked artisanal and quite delicious! A lot of supplies stored within the seating area, but otherwise a nice place.
Great breakfast sandwiches, friendly staff and good service. If in town, you should stop.
Found this gem and went twice in one day! Their bread is freshly made and the owner is very hands-on in everything she does. Coffee is amazing too! Get a breakfast sandwich and a slice of zucchini bread. It will make your day so much better! They also make keto bread!

Loved this local coffee shop, excellent coffee and pastries. Enjoyed their Americano and Mocha latte made with melting actual chocolate. Their chocolate pond cake was delicious too!
Amazing food and super kind staff. Had a little kids play area that my son loved. Made our pit stop through alpine ver pleasant. 10/10 would recommend!!
Not only is the food incredible but the staff are so incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to meet your expectations. The sourdough biscuit sandwiches and to die for… my fiancé almost missed the delivery of our baby at the alpine hospital picking these up to enjoy after our baby boys arrival. Yep, they’re that good haha! I can vouch for their vanilla latte and macroons.
Top notch Bakery, top notch Coffee….wonderful atmosphere with a kids play area. Family Business…True embodiment of the American Dream!
Excellent bakery - the biscuits, brioche and seed bread loaf are all amazingly good
Me and my husband stopped here on our way back from BBNP. I’m so glad we did! We both got breakfast sandwiches on the sourdough biscuits and coffees- incredibly delicious! You must make this your stop when you’re in town! So so yummy.

Friendly staff and delicious breakfast sandwiches and pastries! I loved that the turkey, egg and cheddar was real turkey and not sliced, deli turkey. Zucchini bread was great and also bought one to go. It was busy so took a bit to get the food/drinks but the wait didn't detract. We'd go back next time we pass through!
Stopped in after work to get a burger special. They were out, and they had a mini-meatloaf. I took it to the hotel, it was very good. Will be back to visit this place. Can't wait to try tommows' special.
My husband and I stopped in for breakfast this morning! What absolute delight! The service of an adorable young lady was so professional, she was so knowledgeable of the menu offerings! Her mama made the most delicious breakfast sandwich and a unique waffle my husband devoured! I highly recommend a visit
Unfortunately I have to give a bad review for the management. There was only one employee working, and it took 45 minutes to get a sandwich and a coffee (made incorrectly). There was only one other customer, who also had to wait just as long. You shouldn’t make your employees work like that.
I've been coming Alpine for several years and this was the worst experience I've ever had. I understand it's a small town and things are bit slower but waiting an hour and 20 minutes for 2 simple breakfast sandwiches with no modifications, and then receiving the wrong food is unacceptable at any restaurant. I know the young lady behind the counter was trying her best, but she was overwhelmed since she had no help, truly an army of one. Maybe I picked the wrong day to try this place.
