Barboni's Pizza

I love places that have good prices and the same feel as an old round table. This is how all pizza places used to look like. Family friendly

Barboni's is extremely nostalgic for me. I have been going there since I was a little kid. Pizza roles are top notch and so is the ranch. My uncle's softball team, the Rebels, used to go there all the time. Timeless place. Just a word of advice, you shouldn't have rude people performing a customer service job. The lady with the blonde hair and septum piercing is not competent to be in a customer facing role. Had an attitude and was a bit condescending, and had no reason to be. I was extremely nice. I would consider hiring someone new. Barboni's has a certain vibe, and she is not it. *The only reason I didn't give service a 1 star, is because they had my order ready as soon as I got there.*

Barboni's has become my go-to place for calzones ever since. One of these days I need to try their meatball sandwich. If it uses the same sauce as their calzones, I'm sure it's pretty awesome. I still haven't tried their pizza either.

Great family run pizza restaurant with a great menu selection. Enjoyed the Garlic Knots appetizer followed by a large Antipasto salad enough for four to share. Then a main course a large Godfather pizza, large Sausage sandwich, large 3 topping Calzone with a nice thin crust. And ice cold glass of beer to wash it down. More than enough food for the four of us to share and to take home. Went here for lunch for the first time. Steady business but plenty of seating. I will definitely come back.

Ordered pepperoni pizza with a mug of beer. Can’t go wrong with that combo. May or may have not spotted Joe Kelly here. 😉 Let’s go Dodgers!

Came in on a Thursday and lucked out on their specials. Atmosphere is the local pizza parlor with long tables and a little arcade in the back. Servers were very friendly. I got a large pep. Was a solid pizza, definitely plan on coming back.

The pizza was really good, my only complaint is there was only one pepperoni on each piece. Very clean with bathroom access and claw machines.

7 pm on a Saturday night. Got super busy after we got there. Our food took a little longer than I would have liked, but it was hot, fresh & delicious! The cashier could've been friendlier as she is the "face" of the restaurant, it would have been nice if she smiled. I know she was really busy, but so were the wait staff who managed to bring my food out with a smile! Anyway, not a deal breaker and we'll definitely be back. We had pizza, garlic knots & pasta. All were excellent!

Really good pizza and we are from the Bronx, so that's saying something. We have been going here every Sunday night for a few months. Pizza consistently tasty and delicious. Decent beer and/or wine selection. Staff awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. Sam is awesome, Amanda very friendly and Bree (who is new) is a pleasure . There is another young lady who Sam introduced to us as "the best pizza pie cutter" who is also super, but don't know her name. We moved to Rancho from Colorado in 1989 and are always looking for good pizza. We drove by this place almost daily and never tried Barboni's until a year ago. That was a mistake. I would recommend it as a great local pizza place.

It was our first time going here. I did a pick up order. Loved the pizza parlor look of the place. We ordered a meatball sandwich and eggplant parmigiana sandwich we got the meatball but got chicken instead of eggplant which I was in such a mood for and it was getting late and didn’t want to go back to switch sandwiches (I like chicken parm too) My husband and I split the sandwiches they were nice size. Meatball was really good chicken not so much. Dry and sliced up. Their pizza looks really good. Just check your order before you leave if you take out. That is the only reason for 4 stars. Staff were very nice. Prices good and lots of food selection. We will try it agin.

Unfortunate how this place is becoming. Foods always great and the beer is always cold. Need to work on the staff, 4 women working and every single one of them has a nasty attitude. You would think they would care about having a positive attitude to bring paying customers back. Seriously, fix the server problem and this place would thrive

It was our first time going here. I did a pick up order. Loved the pizza parlor look of the place. Food and service were ok, not anything you can't find at a bunch of other places; no real stand-outs here. The pastrami sandwich is ok. Pastrami was dry since it was heated up on a flat top, not kept moist. They had to check if they still had fries, but there were only a few customers in there... luckily they did. We really went there because kids wanted some pizza and I wanted to watch the game.

Double check when you place your order with the person taking your order. I called in and ordered 2 Lasagna dinners with side salads for pick up. 20 minutes later they had only made up one order but if I could wait another 20 minutes for the rest of my order they would be happy to make it. Too little to late. Great food and good prices but the workers don't always get the orders right.

Pizza is delicious, but it's the most garbage service you'll ever experience. I ordered a pizza before 8:40. At 9:50 they called to say they "can't find my house". Be prepared to spend between 50-100 for 2 pizzas that will be cold when u get them

It's me again.😊Here to discuss my most recent outing. A friend & I went to Barboni's Pizzeria in Alta Loma. I had not been to Barboni's in years. My friend had never been there @ all. When we entered the restaurant, there weren't very many people. A family in one of the booths & a couple of people seated on a bench waiting on their orders. We ordered a large pepperoni & jalapeño pizza & 2 drinks. The drinks do have refills, but the person working @ the counter has to fill them. The girl @ the counter gave us a # & we went to a booth to await our order. We had ordered the thicker pan crust which is like the Sicilian style crust. After awhile, my friend began to complain about how long it was taking them to make the pizza. I did notice we had been sitting for sometime, but I didn't mind. When the pizza came to the table, it was piping hot. The girl brought us 2 plates. My friend also asked for some red chile pepper flake because there wasn't a shaker @ the table. Whoever sliced the pizza did not do that great of a job. Some slices were pretty much intact w/the slice next to it & even a few had the crust still together. We tried using the metal pie spatula to cut & separate, but it was difficult, especially where the crust was still intact. The crust is good. I know this is just my preference, but I think the pizza could have used a little more sauce & thinly sliced fresh jalapeños, rather than the pickled jalapeños from a jar. The pickled jalapeños gave the pizza a bit of an odd flavor. Don't get me wrong the pizza was still good, but I felt it could have been a bit better. My friend said that she didn't feel like she was eating pizza, but more like eating cheese bread because of the softness of the bottom crust. I thought the outer crust somewhat crispy. The restaurant temperature was actually cool so we ate slowly & chatted awhile. The restaurant had an influx of customers the later it got. The girl who brought us our pizza gave us a box w/out us asking. I guess she had noticed my friend had stopped eating. We only had 2 slices left. My friend ended up taking them home. That was pretty much the end of your dining experience. Once again, I forgot to take pics.

Service was good. Pepperoni pizza was flavorless. Cheese was not very stretchy as one would expect on a fresh baked pie. Haven't tried any other menu items.

This was my first visit back in over 5 years. I used to love this place when my children were in sports. My wife ordered the meatball sandwich and loved it. I ordered the Medium Calzone with double Pepperoni and sausage. It looked great when it was brought to my table. Big! When I started cutting it to eat there was almost no meat whatsoever. Mostly cheese. My wife thought they did not give me double pepperoni. Very little Sausage as well. I took it back to the front counter and no one was there so I just left it there. Eventually someone came out to us to see what was wrong. I explained to them and she said ok and left. No one ever asked me if there was something else I would like or how can they make it better. I am not a complainer but I was very disappointed that there was no concerns to please their customer. This is the first time I have ever written a review but I was really bothered that when I arrived at the high-school football game and I needed to buy a hotdog after spending$46.00 for my dinner. The anti-pasta salad was good. So now that I have read the owners response. I had to add to my comments. The Owner stated because there was no complaint they thought everything was OK. I did talk to the manager and said i do now want to complain but there was hardly any meat and to much cheese for my liking. I would think most people would know that if only a couple of bites were taken that there is a problem. Since I did not make an issue they did nothing and the owner feels the same way if you read their response. I have a business that I have ran for the last 30 years. I have never made my customers take less in customer service or satisfaction. I suggest you run an add for help if that is where you feel you are lacking. You will keep your customers happier. Next time if I ever go back. I will make sure everyone behind the counter knows if someone only eats a couple bites of something there is a problem!!!

We ordered take out, a pizza WELL DONE. I should have looked at it before we left. Edge of the crust was pale. Pizza was under cooked, doughy. And it would be nice if the crust had some flavor, but there was none. 😞

I called in to place order and was put on a brief 10 minute hold. I hung up and called back only to be told can I put you on a brief hold explained I was just on a brief 10 minute hold the person that answered said nothing just put me on hold.I work a block away just wanted to place order and this person had the biggest rudest attitude I haven't encountered in so long . I was told we are busy were not just standing around I said i never said you were. I explained you are so hostile and she said this is the way I talk. I asked for another person to take my order she said it's me or no one. I am in awe with the competition and cost you would think they would try to have at least decent customer service. She is supposedly the manager her name is Melody. I will be calling back Tuesday to speak to manager. Being in the restaurant industry for 25 years hospitality is Huge !

First time calling them - will never eat there, rude customer service. I called them to place an order for pickup and was quickly put on hold. I waited for over five minutes. I hung-up to call back and politely told the lady how long I was on hold for. She rudely asked if I wanted to buy a pizza or not. I still said yes and then asked about the sizes of the pizza and about how many it would feed. And she again responded with a rude and sarcastic response. Having a business is not only about good food, but also respecting others and taking the time for your customers.

Left with nothing! Placed an order online for pickup. Arrived on time to find out they gave my pizza away to someone else. I was offered no refund and was told to deal with the service I used to order the pizza. The service said that the restaurant had to deal with it. So I'm out $50, no food, no helpful service and no compensation.

Waited almost 2 hrs for a Fricken Pizza, and no one would come over and say hey we burned your pizza and were making another one until we asked weres are pizza. Asked if they were gonna compensate us for the inconvenience they said the only thing that they could do is is give a slice of pie to share with our group, I told the waitress you eat it there's 4 of us. Bad service, unprofessional management and workers never ever going back to that place again. Hell to the no.

Slice would not reorder for us, contacted Barbonis directly asked to please remake order, would pay for again and pick up - they would not remake the order. Left us hungry and disappointed. Said "Once the pizza leaves here we're not responsible" Buyer beware, no customer service, using drivers that cannot be contacted and then fault the customer. Asked to talk to a manager about this horrible experience and they can't even take the time to talk to me. After 25 years, we will NEVER use Barbonis again or Slice. This review is a warning, if there is a problem, they won't fix it. Order at your own risk.

She lacks customer service and empathy and has zero patience for anyone experiencing an issue with their order. I called when my husband arrived home and the pizzas, emphasize on the multiple, were incorrect. She looked up order and then promptly told me that because I ordered on THEIR website there is nothing they could do to refund me, that I could call Slice who operates there online ordering. I asked if the manager was there and she said she was the manager, I asked if could speak to her supervisor and she said he never comes in, that she never sees him. Really? What poor management to never check on your employees, unless she is lying. I asked if there was a phone number or email, she said I could look online. Apparently the generic email for Barbonis is also the owners/general managers, she assured me that this is only checked by him. THEN she says or I could wait until Tuesday because the other manager or is the same level as her is in and I could talk to them, although I have no idea how that would resolve anything. Then she let it slip that this other manager is in charge of the emails, RIGHT AFTER telling me that only the big boss has access to that email. So basically lie after lie with a woman I am not sure is anything more than a junior manager and I am through giving them any further service. Meanwhile, the Slice representative I am currently on hold with has to call Barbonis to get an authorization for a refund, and surprise, Sarah won't authorize it. So I will be disputing the purchase with my bank. So sad that after years and years of end of season soccer parties, birthdays, family Friday night dinners ONE employee can ruin your reputation. I will make sure all of my friends and family NEVER buy from Barbonis again.

The fettuccine was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. The whole plate was filled with butter, which was unappetizing. I even moved the noodles to another surface, but they were still soaked with butter even on the new plate. It was my first time having toasted ravioli and they were also soggy and had no flavor. The best thing out of anything I ordered were the garlic knots. They had some flavor, but they were still no the best. The marinara sauce is way too sweet and also has meat chunks in it, which I was not aware of. Not worth $50.
