Went here for dinner. Made a reservation for 6pm and were seated promptly. The service was attentive. Our chef was very friendly and entertaining. Food flavors were very good. Plenty of food also. Finished with sherbert.

Wonderful service….. wonderful variation of cocktails. We believe are well worth the price. They weren’t “weak”. We even shared one of the fishbowls which was very tasty. Jeremy entertained us with his quirky lines and jokes. It was a great experience. He used the garlic butter for our proteins an it was FIRE. Good looking out Jeremy! Not to mention we were here for our BGSC (Black Girl Social Group). He even acknowledged our group and sisterhood during his conclusion. That was very thoughtful and considerate. Can’t wait to visit again!

Had the best chef, Gabe was very friendly very pleasant had such a great show. My kids loved the lights and the train horn. The food was amazing it was cooked to perfection.

Jeremy and Brandon provided excellent service during our visit. Jeremy went above and beyond to make sure our food was prepared exactly to our liking and checked in often to ensure everything was perfect. I’ve been to Benihana‘s several times and Celeste was hands-down the BEST chef that I’ve ever had! You came this evening to celebrate my baby sisters 19th birthday and she made the evening so eventful! She was funny and very personable! She definitely made the visit worthwhile! It was my first time here at benihana and it was really cool. The waiter was patient with us and helped us with our first time experience. Our cook Jeremy was awesome and very professional. He entertained us by putting a good show and our kids loved his jokes. Thanks to them, next time I visit California. I will be coming back.

Had a blast! Food was better than I expected I definitely recommend this location. They have spicy mayo!! The only two things I didn't fully enjoy was the water it tasted not good and the chicken was a bit tough. Service was amazing!!

Don't buy Seafood Diablo. Brought noodles home and added meat. 95 percent noodles and 5 percent meat. Don't spend $41.00 on this item for the shrimp or scallops. Buy if you love noodles peppers and onions.

I went here for the 1st time And my 1st initial impression was that it's a very very neat looking like an old school Japanese building and I love Japanese culture so this was amazing. The interior of the building is extremely clean very professional very well dressed and the vigils such a staff as well as the visitors. I know it says on the outside a for short fancy apparel is required but they don't enforce it so don't worry if you come with a hat and A T-shirt just like me. The wait time was very short they said 30 minutes but we got in within a matter of 10 minutes or so. When we sat down our chef was chef Mike. This guy was really really amazing AKA the trick chef. He was very funny and His tricks with his utensils were so awesome! Not to mention that has food was absolutely Amazing and very Well seasoned. He was very entertaining and very enthusiastic about his job you can tell that he likes his job very much. The prices of the food I were that of any high class Japanese restaurant But very very well worth the cost. I will definitely be coming back to this place multiple times just to have their food And they're amazing chefs Again. Great job staff and great job chef Mike!!

Our chef was AMAZING! The way Saul prepared and cooked the food was the BEST I've ever had at any hibachi or Benihana restaurant, hands down. Saul deserves a promotion to trainer and a bump in pay. The kid can flat out cook! Yumsters!!!

With the ongoing and nonstop disappointment in the quality in the customer service received at businesses nowadays AND the recent reviews I saw posted on Google, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Benihana’s on Inland Empire Blvd in Ontario for my mother’s birthday dinner last night. Our reservation was at 5pm, but the only reason for our wait was because my son was running a couple of minutes late. We were seated IMMEDIATELY upon his arrival. I did have to ask for my seat to be wiped off, which was handled quickly and with no complaints. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The grill was clean. The dishes were bussed and removed promptly (not only from my table, but those around me). The refills came often and swiftly and Chef Wayne put on an awesome, Benihana worthy show! It was definitely worth the wait..so glad my son was running late. 😂

Our chef Cheleste was great! Entertaining and funny. Food was good. All that was expected at a Japanese steak house. Our waiter was a little slow or hard to find. It wasn’t like they were understaffed. Not sure what was going on there? I’d recommend this place

I had an amazing time!!!! My friend treated me to lunch and it was great!!! Our chef was Benny great personality not as much flare as a couple of the other chefs but I still enjoyed interacting with him. We shared our table with another family and they were very pleasant. Went to Benihana Ontario for dinner (11/21 with an 8 p.m. reservation). We arrived a little early but the wait wasn't too long however, it was a good experience from the time we walked into the door. The waitress that served us was very attentive in meeting our needs (I forgot her name....sorry) pleasant, and provided great customer service. Our table was served by Jeremy and he was great, funny, and very kid-friendly (telling jokes and attempting to answer the jokes my grandsons were telling 😆) the highlight for the grandsons was the onion 🌋 and the food was delicious. My family & I appreciated the great service. We'll definitely be back!

We were the last table to be seated for the night and normally that means a rushed dinner, but not tonight. Our server was patient and friendly through our whole dinner. Same goes for our chef, Jeremy. He didn't come in and do the bare minimum. He still gave us a show and then some. He was interactive and made us laugh throughout the time he was cooking our food. Speaking of food he did an excellent job, flavor in every bite. So I want to say thank you to our chef Jeremy and our server (I wish I remembered her name) for ending my birthday with excellent service and a delicious dinner.

At first the service and everything was a bit hectic, but it was only because of how good and popular this place is. I could still see everyone hustling around leaving excellent service overall. Our waitress was GREAT!!! Always making sure our drinks were full. She was kind and friendly. We had three birthdays at our table and she sang to us three. We were two different parties. The food was good, very delicious. The restaurant was cool didn't feel the heat from outside nor from the grill. The service was fast but not so fast that we felt rushed. The waitress had great timing. It felt like we were nit waiting around for the best round or drink. Isn't that fabulous. There were lots of birthdays at the other tables so it felt festive and fun.

Lunch prices are so affordable!! The show is really fun! The waitress was really nice but it seemed like she had too many tables. Anything I asked for took a really long time. But the time I went before this time I had a young male white waiter with brown hair. He was the best waiter I ever had. I wish I remembered his name. I love benihana and I go all the time.

We ate early around 4pm on a Friday. So we had no waiting time and had quick service. The soup was seasoned well along with the salad. The Chef was uniquely prepared for a talented show of culinary skills. Definitely get your ice cream dish. Thumbs up.

Was celebrating my son’s 11th bday. He requested Benihana’s and had a few chef request however to no avail. One of the hostess highly recommended Chef Celeste stating the she was one of the best on staff. I was open and let me tell you…..It’s in her name…Celeste the best! We throughly enjoyed the whole experience. Taste sensationalist, funny jokes made for an unforgettable evening. Hats off to Chef Celeste the Best!!!

This was the best and quickest solo visit to Benihana. I stumbled upon their Power Lunch when passing through from LA to Banning. It was still 'teppan', prepared before me with the exception of entertainment and fried rice (prepared elsewhere). It was so good! Ended with hot green tea.

Gabriel did a absolute wonderful job! He made our experience above and beyond! We couldn't have asked for a better chef! The food was delicious , everything was cooked so well along with flavor! Benihana was a decent restaurant. The shrimp, chicken and steak was not amazing but it was good. The experience kind of depends on the type of cook you have that comes to your table. Ours didn't say or do much. The chili shrimp roll was definitely delicious. They also offer really good alcoholic beverages. The servers were friendly. You definitely need to make reservations if you want to come here.

Other than the woman's bathroom being disgusting and ALL the toilets clogged, the food was really good, lol . FYI, if you dont like loud noises or have a hard time with smoke,not recommend.

Food is flavorful. Great place for large parties. The filet was amazing, but for the price, a couple more ounces would have been appreciated. Service was attentive and accommodating. If you're a small party, it is strange in the post covid era to be randomly sat next to children.

Experience has been hit and miss when I've visited but the food is fairly consistent in taste. We had Masa as our chef today who has been with the resturant for a long time and is always amazing. Our waitress was good and attentive. All items ordered were prepared correctly and wad timely. I will comment that they don't have Happy Hour on weekends regardless of the time of day which is unfortunate.

We were seated in no time, food was delicious and Everyone was very friendly, our chef was amazing and he did a great job, the calamari and scallops were very tender and juicy and the steak was cooked to perfection, the fried rice was okay and salad was fresh, the place looks like it is not very new and maybe could need a quick modern refresh, everything was great and we are coming back

Jeremy was our chef and he was fantastic! Thorough, clean and just a good spirit. We appreciated that he spent extra time cleaning the grill as there was some residue caked underneath the grill. It’s the little things that count in the restaurant business and we appreciated him for bringing VALUE to our experience. Jaime was our waitress and she did a fantastic job making our birthday celebration special. Thank you! Hugo the MGR, checked on us and he was great about moving my seat after water fell on me from rain leaking through the roof.

Really good Hibachi restaurant! The chefs are really impressive. The wait is pretty long, you have to book a reservation as soon as possible or else it'll get too crowded and you'll be waiting for a couple hours to get a table. On top of that, it also takes a while once you request a appetizer or a meal. I can understand the place can get pretty busy during certain hours, mainly afternoons and evenings. Overall, I think it's best to come to benihanas during a special occasion like a Birthday, Anniversary or like a reunion.

We were so excited to come here and eat. It is truly a beautiful experience. We should of asked to NOT have ALL that salt and spice put into all of our food. The mushrooms were solid sodium as they had soaked up all of that salt and soy sauce. The steak was FABULOUS , salty but I wiped it off. The performance was superb.

Chef was great. Wait staff was excellent. The food was good. You get less vegetables than before and they were julienned on this visit. The onions were so thin you can barely tell that they are mixed in wirh the zucchini. I am a veggie lover and like the bigger cut veggies.

We made a same day reservation for when they opened at 11am. We were there with two other people that showed up and we were sat together. It wasn’t immediately but it didn’t take very long at all. When we walked in I noticed it’s getting dingy. I haven’t been in there in quite some time and I know the restaurant itself is older. I asked if they offered a military discount and they said no, I asked if they do anything to honor veterans on Veterans Day and they said no. That is very disappointing. After we were seated another couple came in and sat at a table behind us and were immediately served. I don’t like that, I believe those sat, arriving first should be served first. I was set back by the price of domestic sparking water $10 a bottled packaged in America. The server took our order (very sweet) and we waited for our Tepan grill master Adil. He was great! After our meal it took a while to get our ice cream. Both tables that came after us had already left the restaurant. When we got the bill I was shocked to see that we were charged for our fried rice. I would have thought it came with the meal. The server said steamed rice came with our meals. So then where was our steamed rice or why weren’t we discounted for the fried rice then? For the five of us I spent $40 on fried rice that was thought to be included. I will say that the food was delicious! And our server was very sweet, grill master was awesome. I just think it is overpriced for like the rice and sparkling water. Because we were last to leave our youngest was getting pretty antsy.

Our group of 24 visited Benihana this evening, Sunday, to celebrate the birthday of one of our respected big brother, a professor who has authored 19 books. Overall, the food was plentiful, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Our chef, Mario, was polite and appeared to be newer, but he maintained a good attitude throughout the performance. However, we did have one issue. One member of our party is a complete vegetarian. The onion and carrot were already being cooked on the grill for the egg-fried rice. She simply requested a very small portion of those cooked vegetables, just the onion and carrot alone, without egg or rice. This was not a special order; it was literally a tiny bit of vegetables already on the grill. Unfortunately, Mario flatly denied the request. There was no effort to offer even a small taste, or suggest an alternative, such as having someone bring a small portion from the kitchen. That direct rejection was disappointing and did not reflect good customer care. In contrast, our waiter Ronnie was outstanding. He immediately understood the request and personally brought fresh salad from the kitchen to accommodate her. Ronnie’s responsiveness and professionalism truly made a difference and helped correct the situation. Overall, the experience was positive, but this incident showed that Benihana can improve its flexibility at the grill, especially for simple dietary requests already within reach. Ronnie’s excellent service was the highlight and helped bring the evening back on track. Shabu, Lake Elsinore.

Stopped by this location for dinner with my gf, place was crazy hot and had a very humid smell. We had a reservation and we got seated within 5 minutes. Our server took about an hour plus to bring us any drinks. Cook started 2 hours after our reservation. Food was okay, would of been a better meal experience if they just didn’t make us wait so long

Chef Celeste was on point. Funny and good flavor on the food. I’d give her 10/10 alone if I could but the service held it back. Server never came to ask for refills. The manager was more helpful on serving us than the server. Make sure to ask for Celeste!!

It was nice to experience hibachi and the food being fresh and hot with the chef's entertaining tricks. The highlights were my steak yakisoba noodles, steak julienne, and the banana tempura ice cream. Other than that, I think the fried rice and vegetables were disappointing and lacked flavor and quality. The rice was a bit hard and my noodles lacked sauce. The staff was nice, especially our server Sophie, but as my first time going, it was unimpressive for the price you pay.

The food was good, and the staff we interacted with were polite and provided good customer service. However, the overall condition of the facility was disappointing. The restaurant appeared run down and not as clean as it should be, which took away from the dining experience.We visited to celebrate a birthday, and while our server asked if we were in a rush, our table ended up waiting over an hour for a chef and for our meal to begin. Another group at our table mentioned they were not in a hurry, and their experience seemed to take priority while they continued ordering drinks. Unfortunately, our group was left waiting for an extended period without food or updates, which was frustrating especially since we were there for a birthday celebration.The food itself was enjoyable once it arrived, but the long wait and the cleanliness of the facility made the overall experience less positive than we had hoped.

Unfortunately our filet mignon and shrimp were overcooked and became tough. Sadly, shrink-flation has definitely impacted the amount of onions, mushrooms and zucchini. With the significant price increase it was sad to see the small amount of veggies with the meal. Our server and chef were great, pleasant and attentive. The restaurant besides showing its age was not well swept.

Decided to go on Wednesday thinking it wouldn't be busy. It was. Dinner took about 2 hours from start to finish. Took longer than expected. Got the Benihana delight & trio. The portions were small. Not worth the 62 per plate. The dinner show by the chef was boring. He kept making mistakes. Assumed he was new so didn’t judge too harshly. I do wish they would substitute onion soup for miso. In comparison to Benihana’s on the East coast, the West coast locations don’t even meet the level of satisfaction that I have experienced at a location on the East. I frequent Benihana’s and this is horrible. On the West coast you have to request Yum Yum sauce. The East coast gives it to you just as when they hand you your eating utensils. I asked for Yum Yum sauce to go. I got 3 containers to go. I normally don’t check my receipt but I just happened to look at it because I was cleaning out my purse. I found three charges for Yum Yum sauce at .80. First, I’m mad that I wasn’t told there is a charge for to go sauce but the one ounce cup wasn’t even full. Last thing is I like my Salmon marinated in garlic butter and teriyaki sauce. I always get it like that. All of a sudden that can’t be done anymore. As much as I am paying as long as it is available I should get what I want. I spent several hundred dollars and always do.

Stopped by yesterday morning asked to sit by the sushi station. Food was soo overcooked it had a hard crust on the steak and shrimp. Appetizers were good. Server was ok forgot our sauces and brought out my sushi when my food came out. Overall $200 for 2 people got burnt food wasn’t ok. Will continue to go to shogun instead.

The worst waste of money I've experienced in a long time. Literally, between double and triple of other hibachi places. The quality of the food is not better and for some reason they seem averse to actually seasoning things. The blandest food that I've wasted money on in forever. Got the msg that was ready to be seated but they couldn't get it together about whether I was out was not called and they mixed up servers. Asked if the chef could make me a different sauce with ingredients he had instead of the normal dipping sauces. Says yeah but when he said he would make it after getting done with the meat suddenly said that he couldn't. Friend that ordered a side of steak, the guy cooked it then put it in his cart until I said something about the side that we were PAYING FOR. Do NOT waste your time, money or taste buds on this bland over inflated cost. Also some of us have worked in food a long time ago and still cook and I call BS on the protein serving sizes. That was definitely a $4.99 lobster from Walmart not what they claim and definitely not 6oz. Made the mistake of ordering the Hibachi Supreme and added scallops and was not worth the my time, money, energy, or attention. DO NOT waste your money unless you like bland over priced food where chefs lie to you and provide mediocre showmanship.

If you dont want your night to be ruin ask for Patrick. I had a party of 10 reservation via open table which was also confirmed a day before. I also received a text telling me my table is ready. When I approached the hosts, I was told I can't be sitted since 3 of my party was not yet at the restourant. When I start asking for a manager the two your hosts disappeared and were replaced by Abby, Patrick and a security guy. Abby, who wanted to show how much she hated her job and the idea to have to deal with unhappy costumes, exhibit such a attetude that is didnt expect to encounter going to have a dinner. She may want to change her job and not to be called a manager. Patrick was the most professional employee and saved the day. I am not sure why security was called and what was his reason to be there while I was questioning why I won't be sitted at my reservation time. Keep in mind I had to wait for over an hours , 30 minutes after my original reservation for the cook to show up. Abby made sure to inform me, that she had 2 people infront of me to be sitted before they can have a table to me despite my reservation. Anyhow I see lots of complaints for the same reason and many unhappy customers. Something needs to be done. People dont make reservations to have to wait for hours and be greeted by a manager with an attitude . Also there were no mushrooms with the food even that was part of the menu.

The last time we went we wanted to try the lunch specials. The price was good for what you get. Lunch combo was a meat choice, rice, veggies, soup or salad, and a drink (I asked for iced tea, but they were out, so we just had water which didn't taste very good). The shrimp was fantastic though (the sauce on it was buttery and garlicy, yum)! However the salad dressing was gross and when I kindly asked to change to the soup instead (which was much better than the salad), the waiter looked annoyed. It also came with veggies and rice. The fried rice looked good, but ended up having zero flavor. The gentleman that cooked our food on the grill was saying things to us but said them so low and quickly that we couldn't make out a thing he said. It felt like he wanted to deliver his script as fast as he could to just get in and out as quickly as possible. Remind you, it can get loud in there with the other tables and cooks all going at once. But he didn't do anything fun for us while cooking the food like the other tables around us, and when he served us our vegetables, they were still very cold even though they just came off the hot grill (he just moved them around a few times on the grill and then plated them). Again, felt like he didn't care to make it an experience. It felt like he just wanted to get his part over as quick as possible. We were pretty disappointed :(

It was a frustrating experience. First of all, we got our table after one hour of waiting despite booking our table ahead of time. Secondly, we had to wait for the chef of the other table to finish before we can get our own so-called "Benihana Experience". Thank you, it was indeed an experience I would not want to happen again

The portions of protein are smaller than they used to be while the prices continue to climb. We went last night for my birthday. My 14 year old daughter was excited to go because she likes the fun atmosphere of teppan grill restaurants. As soon as our chef showed up, she said oh no mom, we got a boring one. Boring doesn’t even begin to sum it up. No smiles, no jokes, no acknowledgment of the birthdays at the table, just the business of cooking. The food was prepared and ok but nothing special, and the chef prepared my meal before the ones with onions as requested. Unfortunately by having my meal prepared first, I actually finished all of my protein and one single zucchini strip before I could get the server to bring my steamed rice which came right after I finished. Having the rice after the rest of the meal makes no sense. You eat them together. The salad dressing was just a lump on top of the salad and made it unenjoyable for my daughter. Maybe the server was handling too many tables because it took a while to get our order taken and our soup, salads and rice to be delivered. It makes it more depressing when you see other tables having a good time interacting with their server and having a fun time. Some people are back of the house chefs only. The one we had needs to be put in the kitchen to make food and leave the job at the table to someone more interactive. It was a bit of a let down for a birthday celebration. In the restaurant response they ask me to reach out and contact them so they could hear more. I did that and they never responded. That made it even worse.

Very lax at the hostess desk with 3-4 hostesses. They served the onion soup and I got 1 thin mushroom slice while everyone else had many mushrooms. I provided pics of the soup as it was served and compared with my friends. The chef was okay, didn't seem happy to be working. The server was okay at best, got odd vibes from the whole staff though. Like they didn't want anyone to be there and the "better not complain" aura. The ceilings, lights and grills were not so well kept. Grill surface was clean, but table was kind of dirty with grease. The birthday celebration was like "here we go again" and was obnoxious when it used to feel friendly and cultural. No pictures anymore either. The server can take a photo with your phone, but ours turned out bad. Bird poop covered the railing outside, right where the benches are for guests, uncleaned for some time. Benihana used to be an excellent birthday experience and place to have celebratory or entertaining and somewhat elegant meals. Ever since Rocky left the company, it has just gone downhill more and more. It was nice being with family and friends and I told them all it was fun but honestly, I won't be celebrating here anymore. 35 years of birthdays Benihana. A good run. Peace out.

Arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were told there would be at least a 35-minute delay because they were running behind. We didn’t end up getting seated until 8:30. After that, it took another 45 minutes just to receive drinks and appetizers, and we didn’t actually start eating until 10pm. Our chef seemed exhausted, the food was mediocre, and the overall experience definitely wasn’t worth the $325 we spent. I really hope management takes reviews like this seriously and makes some major improvements, because our family won’t be returning.

We go to this restaurant very often as we wirknin the area but had the worse experience today. We had reservations for 12:00 noon. We did not get the table till 12:40. That too after complaining a few times. Then our sodas were flat. Our waiter did fix the machine SBF brought us new ones. The service was v poor as 1 person was taking care of few tables at the same time. We never got refills for our sodas. We did not get napkins after requesting few times. We were 4 of us. When we ordered lunch, I also ordered 3 more lunches and the waiter brought them in the end when we were leaving. I just happened to check the bag. The quantity of the food for each lunch was half than what we got at the table. I was bringing good back for few co workers who were in the office. I was embarrassed to see the portions. I asked for the manager. I think her name was Brenda. She is the worse Mansger you have. She came and told me that we have smaller portion for to go orders. I think this is highway robbery. We are paying the same amount then why should the food be less than half in quantity. This is not the first time we have had issues with the same manager. She never wants to solve any problem or take ownership. We had another gentleman on our table who was a regular and an attorney by profession. His food was all cooked at the table but he still got ripped off with few things. He had ordered 3 lunches also and he was alone. He also complained to the manager. We have our company holiday lunch booked at the restaurant so I had asked a dimple question to Brenda, which area will we get so I could plan accordingly. She just gave me a point blank answer. It all depends on that day and I cannot promise anything. Even though they promised me a separate area when initially I had made the reservations for our Dec lunch. I thought I font want to waste my time with her. I will call the general Mansger Scott and talk to him. I have spoken to him before and he is pretty good. One more thing. I wanted to buy the gift cards and the manager told me that their machine is not working. I akways buy a lot of gift cards for my clients but she blew her chance of selling gift cards worth thousands. She was not even feeling bad about it.

I went with my whole family, we ordered à la carte, and surprise! The cook came out and served us the dishes we ordered right in front of us. I ordered noodles with three different meats, and he only put two shrimp, a little bit of meat, and a strip of chicken. Then we ordered meat and he served us a tiny strip. I will never go back again because everything he made was terrible. I don't know if it was butter, lard, or margarine, but there was so much grease that it gave us diarrhea. Never again!

On Christmas my daughter and I visited this restaurant. We had a reservation and still waited 1hr to be seated. We waited another 20min to be greeted and order drinks. Our "chef" was dry and robotic. Not engaging or entertaining. It felt very awkward and uncomfortable. He was obviously not comfortable saying any of his "scripted" performance. We watched him burn a scrambled egg and proceed to add the black burnt egg in the rice. Our filet mignon (not cheap) was cooked crispy instead of med rare. One of the ppl at our table had to get up and get us to-go boxes b/c the waiter was MIA. We waited another 20min before I had to get up and ask for our checks. There was food all over the floor from prior customers. It was filthy. I understand they were busy but if you are open, then every customer deserves a good experience. Here is the worst part: The next day I shared my experience on their website and to date, i have not heard anything. I sent message #2 on 01/05/26 and still nothing. Do they even care about their customers? I only decided to post this public review after zero response from this place. Going to Benihanas is a luxury for most of us and this experience was horrible. The way they are handling this (or not handling...) just adds insult to injury. We were so disappointed. They should have stayed closed on Christmas if it meant compromising the integrity of the restaurant. After paying the very high bill (which i don't mind doing if we get what we paid for) we realized they never brought our dessert. It was super angering and disappointing b/c I used to love this place. I felt super ripped off!

I came to Benihana to celebrate my 60th birthday, I wasn’t acknowledged by the server as my birthday even with my having a sash and button on. I had to ask for my drink (Benihana Punch), then we had to ask 2-3x for refills and water. But, the couple at our table( elderly couple &son) was as soon as the chef was done so she brought their check and To-go boxes but, she also brought out check as we were still eating. I told her it was too soon and rude she then said don’t mind it just leave it here. As the night persists a lot of celebration were happening around us so I knew mine was also coming buuut it did not. My sister brought cupcakes she gave to the front (black server w/glasses) she then said they’ll bring them out with ice cream and sing. Buuut that also DID NOT. Another server brought out our ice cream (no celebration) my brother in law then ask a male bus boy about not celebrating. He then said he’ll tell the manager and make sure it happens. I seen him look at our table (tan shirt and pants). Then our waitress then returns hands my husband the cupcakes and said I guess you need plates? I said what? My sister said what about the singing.. and then says “oh?” Tells the busboy “sing”. That’s when I said “NO” forget it. They dont have to sing Just pay the bill so we can leave… I was over it and her bad service.. she ruined my 60th celebration. As I’m leaving I see a heavy set gentleman in navy blue standing to the side and started to tell him about what happened then she came out he asked her “did you sing?” She said “she didn’t want it” but NOT (of course) telling why I didn’t. I got upset starting yelling.., I shouldn’t have ( I do apologize) for that. But, we came there as we do for every birthday… this was my 60th. I wanted to enjoy it. Not be treated differently than everyone else. We have enough to deal with these days 😔 I believe the server name is on attached ticket.

Such a poor experience, overall. The worst noodles in my life. The “homemade spicy sauce” was just a spicy mayo (like sriracha) that was used as a sauce for noodles. In a “Japanese restaurant”. The chicken was very blunt. The portions small. The chef didn’t care much and paired zero attention to us; no socializing, making jokes or doing tricks. The chef just didn’t want to be there. Overall, the poor quality food was the main reason for the rating, rather the service. Fun fact: it took 45 minutes to clean the table next to us.

I definitely would not recommend it and would not go again. Restrooms were filthy and literally falling apart. Wish i had pictures. We were originally seated at a table where a liquid, which i assume was oil dripped from the vent, onto our plates. We were moved and told the manager would be coming to speak with us, she did not. Ordered appetizers calamari and Las Vegas roll (sushi). Calamari was soggy and chewy, inedible sent back, and was told again the manager would be coming to speak with us, She did not. The sushi came half prepared. The server had brought it out before it was finished. We were told that a particular server was just hired and didn't know any better 🤷‍♀️. We received a limited amount of attention from the server. Food had been forgotten to be brought out, and we were never offered refills. We had to ask for water from other staff members because our server was not in sight. We finally received water after our dessert came out. I got up to speak with the manager about our check because items we didn't receive were still on the bill. The manager, Lashawn, was very dismissive and did not engage in any conversation. She decided just to walk away and let the server deal with the problem, i suppose. I dont really understand what's going on there, but they definitely need to get it together. The establishment is run down, and the staff looks overworked and miserable. The food that was prepared in front of us was good. Sad to say the service was not good and the experience was 👎. Good luck if you go.

I am unable to speak on the quality of the food as I never even got sat, despite making a reservation for the birthday of a close family member and arriving to an insanely overcrowded and uncomfortable restaurant. A half hour later I was told 3 people were still ahead of me, and the next hour no one is called. It eventually got far too late for a nice dinner with family so we had to leave and scramble to find a birthday dinner.

My Fiancée ordered food to go at 6pm. The website said the order would be ready at 6:52pm. We arrived at 7:20pm and the food still wasn't ready. We left at 7:34pm. Got to our place. And we were missing the 2 main dishes, the trio and chicken with steak. We called the restaurant and they offered a refund over the phone. My fiancée said no we can just pick up the missing items. They told us to wait 20 mins. We hung up at 8:15 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:40pm. The food wasn't ready. They argued that the food us placed in the original order. The manager said their chef made the food. After all that, we left at 9:40pm. While we waited there was another lady that returned because she also was missing items. To top it all off, they still didn't give us the chicken. Next time if we want benihana, we'll drive further to a different location. The ontario one has gone done hill in service.

I recently dined at Benihana, and unfortunately the experience fell well short of expectations, especially given the price. The teppanyaki chef seemed disengaged and was clearly just going through the motions. There was little interaction, no real energy, and none of the usual entertainment that typically makes a Benihana meal enjoyable. Our entire grill felt flat and disconnected, and no one at the table was engaged. The food itself was quite bland. The mushroom soup arrived lukewarm and tasted like a thin broth with a couple of dehydrated mushrooms added at the last moment. The salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of plain lettuce, two cherry tomatoes, and an excessive glob of dressing. The main course did little to improve the experience and felt uninspired and forgettable. Considering the cost of the meal, this was not a good value. For a restaurant known for both flavor and performance, neither delivered. The one bright spot was our waiter, who was pleasant and attentive. However, even upon arrival, the atmosphere felt off. At the host station, there were six employees standing together talking, which did not create a welcoming or attentive first impression. Overall, this visit did not meet expectations, and we will not be returning to this location.

I normally don’t like to review any places but I had to do it! We had a reservations on Sunday at 6:45 and it took them 30 minutes to sit us. There was other reservations waiting over 45-1 hour for their table. We asked management and she said other people were waiting longer. The waiter took forever to come to our table and took forever to bring our soup and salad. It seems that Management was too busy Soup was a little salty and the salad dressing as well. It use to be a good place come and eat but to me, lately, it seems run down.

This location has gone downhill. I remember when it was built, the ambiance was traditional. They had ranch dressing for the salad, & knives if you desired one. I stopped going here because my rice was burned oftentimes, which had never happened during my past visits. I thought it was a one-off until I noticed it after consecutive visits. Today I popped in after getting an offer and hoping things had improved. The food was good, rice was not burned, they did not have ranch dressing, which was whatever, but I requested a knife, and the manager came to me and stated they don't have any, only plastic ones. The chief has one, but it's against policy to allow the customer to use it. The chief could cut my food to my desire. I expressed my concerns to the manager, who was polite but will not go here ever again. I also noticed the chairs were dilapidated, the bathroom counter was faded, the stall was falling apart, and the few menus I looked at were stained. I should have just walked out, considering I don't use plastic if I'm paying to dine out. The expectation was to receive at least a 3-star experience.

I had a reservation for 1:40pm and was seated at 2:00pm and waited 20-30 minutes before anyone coming to take my order. So, the manager was informed that other tables were being waited on for their order and we had no waitress. Then, a waitress took our order and I told her I was ready to order my food. She said, she was taking drink orders only! I thought great another 30-40 minutes before I can order my food. By the time the chef was ready to cook we waited another 30-40 minutes . Finally, 2 1/2 hours later I was able to get my lunch I ordered. The table I shared with the other customers were very disappointed with the quality of customer service. An African American female manager was informed and she was insulting to the customer seated next to me. She said,” you obviously don’t come here often because our customers have to wait at least 25-40minutes before they can have a chef come out to cook your food.” The customer asked for a discount for the bad service and she refused to give us a discount for the total inconvenience! She was very rude and condescending!

I would like to give my most honest review. I love the food and the service but the Benihanas in Ontario is so dirty it’s insane. The floors, restrooms, grill, the walls, the tables ect. This place needs a deep cleaning and repairs here and there. The bottom of the sinks in the women's restroom are damaged. It’s always full so I know theirs money to fix these things. The lights sitting in the top of the grills are so dirty. Iam sorry but I know someone must see these things.
