An absolute gem in Surry, VA. Opened in early 2025, and it's a new build, everything is really nice. Classic atmosphere, friendly service, great value, and really excellent food. I grew up in southern California, and have lived for 20 years in Texas and 8 in New Mexico, so I know whereof I speak. I had the enchiladas banderas, and my lovely bride had the birrias. Superb! Everything from the chips and salsa to the main meal. Our only regret was that neither of us could finish our plates, we just got too full!

We gathered for a birthday party in their party room and it was wonderful. Very private and roomy! The food was delicious. Well worth the trip across the ferry from Williamsburg.

Went in a couple days ago service was great I forget the blonde girls name she works up front and seats people she was very sweet helped me pick out what would be best by describing what I kinda of wanted. Server was great as well. Definitely will be back. She also helped the server when the server was behind helped other customers great multitasking skills wasn’t afraid to go above and beyond

This was our second visit. It was just as good as our first time. We did have a different server. His name was James. He was courteous and attentive to our dinning needs. We will have a third visit.

As someone who moved from the NY/NJ area—home to some of the best food in the country—I’m truly astounded by Morelia. The quality, taste, and freshness of every dish absolutely stand up to the high standards I’m used to. It's incredible to have a restaurant of this caliber right here in Surry. Every bite is delicious, and it's easily one of the best Mexican casual experiences I’ve had since relocating.

So, I finally gave this new restaurant a try, and I'm glad I did!! I will start with the pros: Clean restaurant, friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere (at least while we were there during an afternoon meal) and the food was pretty great overall. They have surprisingly excellent and fresh-tasting salsa and chips. The refried beans were VERY good!! We were able to try several dishes, to include their wings and fajitas, carne asada, etc. The fajitas were okay, although a little lacking in flavor. The wings were very good. Their salads are also good. We are finally seeing a great restaurant in Surry again, so we are definitely going to be returning to support. Definitely will go again!!

They have one location in Prince George County Virginia. This is on 10 East in Surry County Virginia.They have all the Mexican food you want 😊

We have been to many Mexican restaurants, but this one is worth going back to. I am impressed with this restaurant. We are staying at Chippokes State Park, and this place was recommended to us. I am glad we went. The decor was very well done. Not the typical hole in the wall found in most small towns.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have had in a while!!! From out of state and stumbled upon this little whole and a wall restaurant.

Our food and drinks were delicious! The restaurant is very nicely decorated with beautiful hand painted murals. Neat and clean. All of the staff are so friendly and our server Chelsea was so friendly and attentive! Surry County is lucky to have a gem like Morelias!!

The food is amazing and healthy portions. The homemade salsa is my favorite, bursting with flavors. The bench seatinga need slightly more room (I know it's a tight space). I suggest if your on the larger side, ask for a table (not a booth). But will definitely recommend ans will be coming back to visit often.

We came for happy hour and were not disappointed. James makes great drinks and really pays attention to detail when it comes to your order. A night happy hour would be great! I’m sure it’ll bring a lot more business with the younger crowd for sure.

Food has a unique flair. With decent dinner crowd noise was low, be aware of parking, limited at the door more on otherside of storage business.

We came in on a random Thursday and it was amazing! Happy Hour was perfect! James was our bartender and he made sure we were well taken care of with our food and drinks. We got the chicken taquitos and a steak and chicken quesadilla! The food was delicious! If you come, order the house margarita and the Cantarito cocktail! Bringing this restaurant to Surry was a great idea and we'll definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible food!!!!! The atmosphere is so fresh and renewing. We got the shrimp Diablo and burrito texano, both were so delicious and plated beautifully. Our server was on time fully attentive and very genuine and kind. 100% our new spot!!

My husband and I ate here on our way home from Hampton. It was Margarita Monday and the Margaritas were $5.99 and they were very good and large. The food was supersized. The salsa was excellent and the white sauce too. I seen some reviews saying that people had acid reflux. I have acid reflux and seriously if you don't want to have issues with that. Don't eat in a Mexican restaurant and I'm not talking about just this one. The food in my opinion is moderately priced. I am taking home leftovers. My husband ordered a burrito and it was from one end of the plate to the other and was loaded with steak and shrimp and it was a little pricey but honestly it was huge. I would highly recommend this place and ask for Andrea when you come. She's a very pleasant waitress and she got my order right and I'm one of those people that say I don't want this. I don't want that but add this and that and she got it right. Also, we had our two dogs with us and we sat out in the patio and on such a hot day. It was very nice out here with the ceiling fans and in the shade.

We will definitely eat here again. Oh, my wife thinks the white sauce is just a little spicy. Only issue is the booth we were given was very tight, we ended up sharing one side to make it roomier. Initially it took a few minutes to get the server, but once he found us, we had great service. Second time dining in, took friends from out of town, food was great, we all enjoyed. Bigger table. Went back again. Third time eating in. Much more comfy booth this time. I ordered the same thing, because I really like it. The refried beans tonight were a disappointment, water looking and tasting. Other than that, delicious. I do have to say, three times eating the Molcajete Morelia, each time it was a little different to look at. The first time, the meat was cut smaller and mixed with the sauce and vegetables. The second and third, it was much bigger pieces of meat, but on top. The sauce and veggies on the bottom. I preferred the first time, for ease of eating and for the sauce, meat and veggies mixed together. I mentioned to the waitress this time. Oh, first and second time the roasted jalapeno was sitting on the top, the third time it was split to look like a flower. Trivial, I know, but when you order a meal at a restaurant, I just think it should look the same, each time. So far, three times, three different looks. Flavor was great, just inconsistant looks.

Our waitress was Chelsea N.. she was AMAZING! She was very attentive and spoke with us about common interest.. Food was also very delicious! I had the OMG Nachos and they were terrific. We will definitely be coming back again! I absolutely loved the decore as well! Will also definitely recommend this place.

Really disappointed in the service. The waitress/bartender had no idea the types of wine. Ask for Sauvignon Blanc & rec’d red wine? We ask for a water refill 3 times before we got that. The chips were cold when they arrived 15 mins after we sat down. You cannot have the waitresses being the bartender on taco Tuesday’s. The girl at the register was so rude when we ask for our check ( because our waitress was too busy at the bar). Her response was “ your waitress can get that”. Are you kidding me?? Your standing around doing nothing & the waitress is busting her tail multi tasking. We finally stood up to leave & then we got the attention that you better bring our check. We so wanted to love this place, but left very frustrated.

Order online. Definitely doesn't matter what day or time. You'll wait at least 15 minutes longer for your order. Out of the three times ordering I've gotten the wrong order twice. Food is alright with being no competition in the area but service not so good.

So I have tried this place numerous times. Twice I didnt get my chips and salsa. I think the white sauce is way too sweet. I also don’t feel like the food is really seasoned like it’s bland. I will try again maybe in a month.

So where do I begin. Servers did not remember what we ordered. Server came once over to refill omly one of our drinks. We waited for 1hr and 30mins to take our order. And then she never put the food in so we paid for our drinks which came out to $14 just for 3 drinks to never be refilled and left. I know it's new, but this is not an excuse for the lack of training. The only good thing was the guy running around keeping chips and salsa refilled

Food has no seasoning it's bland. The salsa taste like ketchup with onions n peppers in it the white sauce tasted like mayo . I'm sorry don't mean sound nasty but this wasn't good.
