Another hidden gem in the Bay Area for Jain and vegan Vietnamese/Asian cuisine. Highly recommend the Tom Yum Soup and Thai curry.
Pho (original), vermicelli, and bahn mi are all very flavorful and have a lot of ingredients. We ordered pick up and the staff there is very friendly. Highly recommend and will come back to try more dishes!
Title: A Harmonic Blend of Modernity and Tradition at Happy Dflower Vietnamese Vegan Vegetarian Cuisine Our visit to Happy Dflower Vietnamese Vegan Vegetarian Cuisine was a blend of culinary excellence and auditory pleasure. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a contemporary take on traditional Vietnamese vegan cuisine, perfectly synced with the rhythm of modern remixes playing softly in the backdrop. The moment we stepped in, we were welcomed into an ambience that was both chic and comforting. The soothing remixes of popular songs, paired with a tastefully decorated interior, offered a unique fusion of modernity and tradition, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. Our first order was the Vegan Curry with Brown Rice, a culinary delight that warmed the soul and pleased the palate. The curry had a deep richness, with a symphony of flavors playing in harmony. Coupled with hearty vegetables and robust tofu, each bite was a testament to the chef's attention to detail. The brown rice was cooked to perfection, its earthy tones complementing the vibrant curry wonderfully. Each spoonful was a delightful dance of taste, texture, and warmth. Following this, we tried the Spicy Noodle Soup - a bowl of gastronomic magic. The aromatic broth was a skillful blend of spices, tang, and heat. Laden with crisp vegetables, tender tofu, and perfectly al dente noodles, the soup was a dynamic mix of textures and flavors. It was as if every spoonful of the soup echoed the pulsating beats of the remixes playing in the background, making the culinary experience truly immersive. One cannot help but appreciate Happy Dflower's commitment to crafting meals that are not just delicious, but also nutritious. The abundant use of fresh, high-quality vegetables and protein-rich tofu is a testament to their dedication to a wholesome dining experience. The service at Happy Dflower is another factor that adds to its charm. Our server was alert, well-informed, and quick on their feet, making our experience seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. In conclusion, Happy Dflower Vietnamese Vegan Vegetarian Cuisine offers a unique dining experience that brilliantly juxtaposes the flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine with the principles of vegan and vegetarian diets, all against a backdrop of modern, catchy remixes. It's a culinary journey that is at once wholesome, delectable, and hip. Whether you're a vegan food enthusiast or someone who enjoys good food set to a good beat, Happy Dflower is a must-visit.
Went there on a rainy Sunday evening around 7.30PM, there are only few customers there, we were quickly seated at the table. The ambience was nice with nice painted mural on backwall of beautiful autumn tree! We ordered Tom Yum soup and spicy noodle soup, Garlic fried rice, vegan curry and two Boba drinks. Soup was nice and tasty just right for our taste and so are the main dishes. Kids loved the Boba drinks! Highly recommend this vegan place and we will definitely come back
I wanted to eat everything on the menu! I had the pho which was pho-nominal. And the spring rolls. And the boba tea. All very very very good!
Great food with an entirely vegetarian/vegan menu. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and hardworking. The food was fresh, ever satisfying, and fulfilling!
We had three bobas - thai green tea, thai tea (standard red orange), and the mango yogurt. All three were really good.
Beautiful restaurant with great food! Got the Cali Pho and all the veggies were delicious and the tofu perfectly cooked.
Delicious food and great service every time we come here. My favorites are the mi quang, bun bo hue, and the fried tofu appetizer (which comes in a huge portion!).
Happy flower is my favorite restaurant nearby and I go there all the time. Every item is really awesome but I love the pineapple fried rice and the pho. The prices are all solid and the people who work there are nice.
The food was all very yummy and they had a huge variety of options, we all got different things and everything was delicious, only one of us was vegan but everyone loved the food.
I cannot sing my graces enough about this place. My friend and I planned to get dinner together on a weekday night, and we were looking for something healthy/new. We decided to check out this vegetarian restaurant which has an assortment of Asian dishes. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. It smells a bit like incense inside. The store is spacious and beautifully decorated. We got the all seasons sampler, lemongrass fish and a curry. We added an order of white rice and the portion of it was HUGE, like enough for 4 people I'd say. For a drink, I got a Strawberry Yogurt Milk Tea. All Seasons Sampler - For what it is, I think the price is hefty. It's like two egg rolls and four big spring rolls. I wish they were cut a bit more evenly since we were sharing. However, I loved all the flavors and the textures in this! It was the reason why I wanted to go in the first place because I saw so many pretty pictures online. I used to go to Mint and Basil, which I don't think exists anymore, but they made the same dish and I'm just a huge fan of spring rolls overall. My favorite is the imitation nem nuong. Curry - We got a Thai curry which was delicious with rice! No notes here besides the fact that the flavors were on point. Lemongrass fish - I'm a big fan of the way soy textures feel and taste. The flavor on this was amazing! It made me question whether I preferred this to real lemongrass fish because it does not have the fishy taste at all--just the savory, bright, and a little bit spicy lemongrass flavor. It was perfect with rice. Strawberry Yogurt Milk Tea - This was very tart and thick. It was easier to drink over time, but it took me by surprise. The size of the drink is big too compared to regular boba shops. I'm not sure if it was only my drink or if the other boba sizes are also like this. I don't know if I would get it again since it was so dense but I'd be interested in trying their other milk teas. Service was great! We were checked in often during our meal and got our waters refilled. I paid with my card which was connected to Square so I get a lot of marketing emails from them now lol. I can't wait to go back!
Update: after trying most of the menu, I would happily order any of them again. But here are my standouts for each section: • apps: All Season Sampler, Papaya Salad • soups: all the noodle soups (broths are rich and flavorful, pick your usual fav and you won't be disappointed) • lunch: Saigon sandwich (pork belly, lemongrass beef), Salted Fish Fried Rice • entrees: Vegan Curry, Combination Vermicelli Bowl, Malaysian Noodles • drinks: Mung Bean Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea (real ingredients are used, no artificial powders here) • desserts: I've only had the flan (creamy and decadent) but they also have coconut milk based ice creams (vanilla, chocolate) They have new porridges (option of combination, mushroom, or duck) — each distinctly delicious! --- After seeing all the rave reviews, I was excited to try this new restaurant. Yes, they have great portion sizes, flavorful dishes, and friendly service! I highly recommend Happy Flower to anyone, vegetarian or not. And they have a beautiful outdoor space.
Very pretty atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered strawberry yogurt milk boba and tiger milk boba, curry, autumn rolls, roti and rice. It was plenty of food for two people. The drinks were really yummy. They also have a discount right now, with 25% off $40+ orders. It’s the perfect time to give it a try! We’ll be back for sure.
My favorite milk tea spot. So nice! The staff is so nice. Amazing food and relaxing atmosphere. Has outdoor seating. Boba and all the other tea drinks are so good!!! The Thai tea is perfect and I have traveled to Thailand 4 times! *The driveway and parking lot are nice and smooth and accommodating for lowered vehicles. I have lowered cars and they can make it into the driveway here no problem +100
Can't wait to return after having my to-go meal. I got the mango yogurt milk tea and the autumn rolls. So good. All prices are completely fair for how unique and high quality the items are. Lots of parking available in the square. Clean interior and bathrooms available. All decorations are delightfully chosen.
Absolutely loved our experience! The fruit teas were incredible — so fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The food was just as amazing — every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. What really made it stand out, though, was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Hands down one of the best family restaurants around — delicious food, friendly people, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Happy Flower Eatery is one of the best spots in the South Bay for vegan Southeast Asian food. I've tried many spots in my vegan journey and didn't expect to come across a new favorite in the last few months. Our group of four ordered a combination of items from their Sampler Appetizer of rolls, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Mushroom Stew, and Beyond Meat String Beans Stir-Fry. Portions were great for every dish and the flavors were all there. My friends couldn't believe some of the items were plant-based but it goes to show that seasoning and preparation make a difference to any dish. Service was very friendly as well. The manager checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and I appreciated their service. The area itself doesn't have much but well worth it to experience some great Vietnamese and Southeast Asian inspired vegan cuisine.
I went here on the day right after Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. The food is fantastic. We had the lemongrass fish dish and the curry. The side of rice was also huge and enough for two people. My girlfriend couldn’t believe it wasn’t real fish. The smell, taste and texture are basically the real thing. This is now our favorite little vegan restaurant. We will definitely come back here and tell all our friends. The restaurant has a cute decor there to it. And the service was very friendly and fast.
Tasty, great texture. I liked the spring rolls with dipping sauce. Also had eggplant with tofu, tom kha broth, crispy noodle, pineapple rice. The serving size was generous, we were full. Service was nice.
We decided to try this place instead of our usual vegetarian restaurant down the street near Lawrence and Central. It sure was a pleasant surprise to get tasty dishes and much larger portions than the other place. This location is a bit hidden from the street, but Google Maps should get you here without problems. Overall, great value for the delicious food and the price paid. Can recommend.
Amazing vegan Vietnamese food! The fake meats are amazing - highly recommend the lemongrass vegan beef and vegan fish. Not a fan of fishy flavors usually but the vegan fish was sooo good.
Really good food. Amazing Taste. We had Vegan Garlic Chicken and Vegan Fish. One is best Vegan fish I had. Only feedback, please offer option of lettuce or something else, not everyone eats broccoli with everything 😆.
Nice little hidden gem serving vegetarian and vegan food options as well as boba drinks. The Thai tea was very good in flavor, but would recommend having it less sweet. All the food was very good including the vermicelli bowl and the curry. The menu was comprehensive and you can find your usual Thai or Vietnamese favorites. The vegan meat items in the dishes were done well. Staff was very friendly.
This establishment offers an exceptional dining experience, ideal for both lunch and dinner with family, including children.
Super delicious Vietnamese food. Many gluten free options available - the tofu was so highly flavored in both dishes. My husband and I could barely finish 2 dishes - the green papaya salad w.tofu and the lemongrass entree w.tofu. The vegan meat substitutes contain wheat so I couldn't try them.
I saw this place and thought I would check it out. I had the vegan l lemon grass fish and the autumn and spring rolls. Everything was good she had lots of flavor. For you vegans out there like me. Just make sure to ask them which meats are vegetarian or vegan. Also the taro milk tea we great too. A bit sweet but hit the spot. I would come here again just for the spring rolls!!! 😍😍😍
Amazing vegan restaurant that opened in early June, 2023. The food was really delicious and the service was great! The restaurant was very nice with beautiful decorations and nice outdoor seating. It was great to have vegan pho for the first time! I definitely would recommend coming here.
Bun bo hue soup was great. The winter roll had a nice crunch. Eggplant was good. Lemongrass beef was okay and the rice was dry. Sugarcane drink is pure and freshly made! Get this, very worth it. The bun bo hue soup was a little on the sweet side. Needs to be more savory. Still very good and I would recommend it.
Excellent food! We had amazing papaya salad and a huge bowl of spicy noodle soup. The camera DID NOT get to eat the papaya salad but enjoy the picture of the soup! The soup had plenty of “meat” and papaya salad was filling and had marinated meat. Both were excellent! The portion size was generous and the flavor was so on point! I also think it’s a small family business that I am so happy to support!

A cozy, homely, and warm place with a great menu of delicious Vegan preparations. My wife and I visited quite by chance, and are very glad we did. We had the Tom Kha soup that sent us to bliss level with right mix of flavorful spices and fiber rich vegetables, along with Tofu. We had the yummy Papaya Salad, Eggplant Tofu and the Vegan Curry, all of which were very well prepared and presented and satiated our taste buds while bringing more vegetable goodness and Tofu along with fake meat where applicable. The restaurant decor matches the name as well with floral decorations bringing you a happy atmosphere. Very friendly and prompt service, and staff who answer every question. Located close to Lawrence expressway and 101, it is readily accessible in an uncrowded location. I highly recommend this place. They do catering too. Ask for Hazel.
Lovely and warm family oriented restaurant with lots of delicious dishes and drinks on the menu. I tried their Thai cuisine (Tom kha soup and Veggie curry) and loved the unique flavors and herbs. Portions were generous. They had plenty of variety for boba teas too which was great to have in one place. Visiting again :).
We really love this place! They have the best vegetarian pho in the Bay Area — so delicious and comforting every time. The atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful, with a real Buddhist vibe. Everyone is super kind and welcoming, and it just feels good to be here. One New Year, someone even paid for our whole meal — totally unexpected and so sweet. We’ll never forget that. 10/10. Highly recommend!

It's a good vegan restaurant, with nice ambience. The salted fish fried rice was delicious. The lemongrass beef entree was different and good. What I dint like much was the garlic noodles, the flavor was great but the spaghetti noodles with soy protein and garlic wasn't going too well.
Colourful hanging paper lanterns! Cute decor. Good amount of outdoor and indoor seating. Service was kind of slow but not too bad. My friend and I both ordered the strawberry yoghurt milk tea. It was creamy and had a nice texture. I personally would have preferred a stronger strawberry flavour and a sweeter taste (6/10 for me out of all boba drinks in Bay Area I’ve ordered). Overall, I would come back to this place for the ambience and lanterns and order a different drink next time, maybe try some of their food!
More recently opened Vietnamese restaurant. Starters were very good: "seasonal" rolls, spring rolls, and especially the papaya salad. The mains were all too sweet, expressed by pretty much everyone at the table. I think the papaya salad was also sweet but was tolerated as it was a shared dish, i.e., I had a small portion. Basically, the mains (and some starters) need a better balance of flavors unique to Vietnames food.
Good Family owned restaurant We tried the mini spring rolls (Was okay , seemed store bought and friend ) Ginger Tofu (was good, not great ) Vegan curry (Was like South Indian sambar and tasted good) Pho (Was very good ) Malaysian noodles (Very Good) The portion sizes are big I would recommend you to try it once
Definitely a good Vegetarian Restaurant Hidden in the Sunnyvale area! They offers Spacious Indoor and outdoor dining with a friendly welcoming, and pleasant atmosphere!!!! Definitely like the beautiful decors and the vibrant colorful setup for sure. Plenty of Vegan options!!!! Our first time here eating the vegan spicy Noodle and pho noodle Soups. I would try other items if I’m in this area and feeling like having vegetarian food.😅They also have large amount of boba drinks and Smoothies.7/6/25🤍
Very nice food and ambience. Food was very tasty and a lot of options for vegetarians. The restaurant serves only vegan dishes. I gave 4 star because restaurant can be a bit more hygienic. The plates and forks they served were dirty. They cleaned the table in front of us and put whatever was on the table on the floor. Sometimes it make me wonder how will it be inside their kitchen.
Very nice vegan friendly place, service was good, food was very good, place was nice. Ube cream coffee was very nice!

The service, ambience, and prices are good. The food is not as good as I wished. I am more used to the imitated vegetarian products I had in Hong Kong. The vegetarian beef and chicken all have a greasy taste and texture. The tofu tastes better but still not as good as those I had been eating in Asia.
It’s great to have an all vegetarian/vegan Thai restaurant but the food is ok. There is a much better all-vegan restaurant on Lawrence Expy with so much more flavorful dishes.
Cảm ơn.. I was super bummed, from the reviews I was expecting vegan yum factor to the max. For me, every dish from Lettuce Wraps, Stir fried eggplant with Tofu and the Assorted vegetable stir-fry was way overkill on the sauce and seasoning and was completely dosed and drenched in dressing which also made it pretty sloppy and messy to eat as well as being too sweet. I should have noticed the signs early, being "spicy" ketchup style sauce and no fresh or dry chilli's, what look to be frozen vegetables and store bought jar sauces with completely zero sense of seasoning like putting fresh coriander on everything as well as clearly planters roasted and salted peanuts. I spent a lot of time in Vietnam, I didn't see or taste a single spice or flavor in anything this evening. I hate to negatively review local businesses but this was a super letdown.
