Awesome authentic burritos. The verde, asada, and relleno burritos are my favorites. Recommend calling ahead for take out.

Was back in town for family and my very first stop. Was lupitas. If I had 50.00 to spare I'd order Barbacoa burritos to take back the 8hrs home. I've compared all Mexican food to lupitas and not even one measured up. Y'all are the very best.

This was just going to be a convenient stop for lunch, but will become a regular place for us, the gordita, and burritos were delicious, made fresh, with quality ingredients. Tortillas were good, and the hot sauce was excellent. That being said, it is hard to please me, coming from a Hispanic family, I expect real Mexican food, not a fan of "tex-mex", and watered down versions to please the masses. You won't regret this stop! We had barbacoa(the least fatty and greasy I've ever had from restaurant)and red pork burritos (nice n spicy) , and beef gordita. The service was also great. This is hands down the BEST Lupitas in Amarillo & I've tried all the other lupitas in town but they're not the same. I've been coming here for years and the lady thats always up front that takes your order is the nicest lady and shes been there for as long as ive been going! She sees me all the time and I've never had a bad experience with her! Their chile verde is the best in town. I cant say enough great things about this place!

If there’s a god, it created the recipe to the barbacoa tacos. I genuinely started crying upon first touch to my tongue. This may be Texan, but it’s not Tex-Mex. It’s straight from Mexico. If you want to have your tastebuds rocked, eat here.

The best Chile Verde in town! I went today and ended up not having enough on my card to cover my food and the young lady working the window covered the rest of my bill for me! Not only amazing food but they always have the friendliest people working there.

Omggg im new here to amarillo and been craving an asado burrito !!! The portion was freaking t i got it with beans trued ir by itseld and omggg the flavor was phenomenal!!!! Then tried it with the hot sauce omgggg spicy!!! Excellent exactly what i wanted !!! Only paid $6!!!! The drive thru girl was very professional polite and well mannered!! And fast!!! Will def recommend and also be coming back !! Thank you guys so much you literally made my day!!

I can tell you where every asada burrito in town is, and the asada here is my favorite. I wake up craving it. The line can be long sometimes, but I'd sit in it all day if I had to. Their salsa is top notch, also.

Just a small taco shack inside of the road We found it by accident. Me and my son absolutely love the tacos They just melted in your mouth and we're amazing. They only have a payment table and a drive-thru It looks like the conditions inside were kind of dirty but the food was amazing.

Lupitas makes the best gorditas and their burritos are very good for their price. This one is good to go to but I would suggest going to the one off of western if it's open. They will have more options to choose from. Great place though and is my go to here in Amarillo.

Menu was a bit confusing. Seems to be a list of ingredients that you can ask them to either put on bread fora sandwich or on a tortilla for a burrito or taco. Food was ok.

Friendly, fast service on a Wednesday around 11:30am. We got four different burritos and they were all good. Tortillas are delicious.

At first, I thought the place was closed because all the chairs were hung upside down on the tables. I decided to get off my vehicle and check because I had never at there before. When I went in there was someone available to take my order. I ordered the four taco variety meal. I never took a picture because I finished my food before I did😅🤣. I would recommend eating here because their food is yummy and it's something quick. Keep this in mind, just because the food is yummy, quick, and at a good price does not mean that their food is not real. Their food is like home-made. Only difference is that they have a business.

Very good Chile Verde burritos. Didn't wait a long time and the service was very good. I only wish they included more salsa for the amount of food we ordered. My husband ordered a burrito and an order of tacos, which included four tacos, and I ordered two burritos. We only received two salsas for that order. I would think you should get two salsas for a taco order and one salsa for each burrito. Also they did not put cilantro on our taco order. Other than that, it was very good.

We didn’t go in to eat, as this is a drive thru! But they prepared it super quick and the cashier was so friendly! I’ve been to their other places, too, and I’m a long time customer! My fave is the carne asada! Their breakfast burritos are great too! Their food is wonderful!!

Good is amazing! Try the chili Verde burrito. Only negative is it take a long time to get your food, specially if your in the drive thru. That's the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars.

The inside is just to stand there and wait for your order. At least you can take your time and compile your burrito. There is nothing to observe or actually sit on. Drive through is better as long as you know what you would like to have. Great service and speed. I ordered a burrito with barbacoa potatoes cheese and red chile cooked in pork. It was very good but the meat was not barbacoa it was roast. They didn't have barbacoa it's shredded beef.

When they want to they have Great food.. But last few time there food is nasty like selling fake meat to replace the missing meat. I've spend alot of money here and I use to love there food but it's nasty now and I'm done spending money here cuz they don't care if ur food is right or now.

The chicken burrito was good and the salsa was amazing but not enough avocado the beef tacos was awful burnt meat we tossed them to the birds. The price came to $15 bucks rip off

I ordered 2 sausage and egg breakfast burritos and then added cheese. After my second bite I could tell there wasn't much if any sausage in said burrito. Thought maybe it's just a fluke. I start eating burrito number 2 and sure enough, hardly any sausage again. I was so annoyed I didn't even finish the food and here I am reviewing and complaining about it. Tasted exactly like a breakfast burrito from McDonald's and that is not a compliment. Definitely not coming back. I posted a picture to show just how much sausage you're going to get for $5.00, it's not even a teaspoon amount, ridiculous!

Asada burrito had a good taste but a little dry and over priced for the size.

Used to be a time where I enjoyed going here. Decided to stop cause it was on the way to work, burrito was handed to me cold. Like how long has this been sitting. Sadly will not be back

wonderful customer service, very sweet lady running the window but I've come by several times and was served very hard and chewy tortillas.. I love their food but have just had too many bad experiences not getting fresh enough tortillas.

I love Lupitas and enjoy their food but the 2 last times we’ve gone we’ve waited over an hour for our food. Today we ordered our food and waited while watching people come in and out very quickly. While being at the window for 30 mins then the lady comes back to the window and asks “ what did you have again? I forgot.” So I ordered my food again and waited. It wasn’t until another car behind me waiting walked up to the window and asked what was going on before we got our meal. And even after ordering twice it was still not the correct order. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed. This place used to be good. This time wasnt even decent. The asada meat was burnt. The avocado was black and the tortillas tasted like store bought. The burrito was almost $8 and half the size it used to be. Which was fine because it tasted bad anyway. Never again!

Cant comment on food quality cause they arent open. 3 sundays i have gone by and they haven't been open an hour after the sign said. Once there was someone on there just standing staring at me but the building was locked and i didnt receive in service

Called my order in ahead, got there and still had to wait forever then they didn’t even get my order right and when I went back I had to wait 5 minutes just to get told they couldn’t give me my order because it was no longer breakfast time.

Workers don't care about being on time or even answering the phone. That's ok I will take my business elsewhere! I will never go back. If workers don't care about being on time or even making a effort to answer the phone imagine how clean they keep thier kitchen!?!

This place is never open. They open at 8 and we waited till 8:05 and ended up leaving because they weren't open. Amazing burritos though!

Went through the drive thru with my boyfriend and we simply ordered 2 burritos. One barbacoa meat and cheese only. And one asada rojo with everything on it. Well we got home to our burritos swapped. I called to let her know she said “Do you want to bring them back?” I said “not really I got things to do.” (it’s my little brothers birthday and I had planned on going to see him right after to spend the day with him.) so she replies with “we’ll bring them to me tomorrow and I will swap them” first off I’m tryna eat today. What I spent money for! Everytime we go we are waiting for ever. Lady inside held her finger up to me at the window so she could talk to another worker inside for longer than 5 minutes. Yeah, we will never be going here again. Very disappointed.

Ordered a burrito they served me old dried over cooked meat. I won't be eating here ever again.

I Show up around 730am when they open at 7am I pull up to the drive thru waiting for 10 min then call when no nobody answer. I see a lady in the back thinking I didn't see her and the whole time she was just watching me thru the back door that leads to the grill the nervous she could of told me something but on top of that the open sign was on but the store lights still off. I wouldn't waste your time on this location better to just go to the original location at least they treat you right so I give them 5 but this one -1

Picked up a chorizo burrito. The tortilla was charred to the point I couldn't bite into it and it was ice cold inside the tortilla. I have never had a worse burrito! EVER!

If a business posts hours, especially a restaurant where prep is involved, they should be followed. Employees arrive 10 minutes AFTER they are supposed to open. If the food is worth it I'll revise rating.

All of the lupitas in Amarillo are owned by the same family. They used to be my favorite place but they have gone downhill over the last couple of years. And if you're ordering delivery, forget it. They do not read instructions and do not make your food the way you request. Also, why are all of the flour tortillas store bought now? I used to get authentic home made tortillas, but no more. The burritos are so soggy with the store bought tortillas, it's just not good anymore. Go back to abuelas recipes and her hard work or you may not last too much longer.

I bought a quesadilla w/asada I got my quesadilla home & looked at it there was a dead baby roach on my tortilla. Eeewww I will never order from or go to this place again. It was very oily dripping oil.

Found hair COOKED into the eggs. So freaking gross. 8/1/23 - I thought I'd try again and give them another shot. Big mistake. The eggs were old and nasty and the tortillas were RAW. I went back and got my money back.

Not so good today. Our favorite Chile Verde burrito was actually a rubber tortilla filled with a meatless green chili gravy, no meat. Very good flavor, but still "No Meat". I hope it was just a bad day, and not the new norm.

Just drove quite a way in an RV to pick up things to go. It was 5:30 & they say they are open until 8:30. As I pulled up workers were locking up. "It says you are open till 8:30!" Not tonight. Shrugs. Maybe tomorrow. "Tomorrow won't help. Do you have any rellenos left?" I don't know she says & walks off! Will Never Ever try this flaky joint again. I had tried to call a couple times earlier but they do not bother to answer phone either. It's a zero.

Went there today November 3rd, (a Friday) after hearing from a coworker that they had good food.... not open at 530 pm... need to update the hours... also would be nice if they were posted on the door. This is the one on Bell and 34th. Guess I'll stick to the Amigos grocery store deli off I40 east... disappointed.

I ordered only two sets of tacos and was charged over a $1 for a “non cash fee.” There is no notice posted that there would be an additional fee anywhere, which is 7% by the way!! I don’t know how they are allowed to up charge without giving some sort of warning for non cash payments. Obviously if I had known I would’ve gave cash instead?? SCAMMY!!

My boyfriend and I came to get food and they just rushed everything I got a beef and potato add cheese and beans and he got a barbacoa burrito I can say this is the grossest wort burrito I have ever had his had some weird veiny chunk of meat in it and mine had no beans the cheese is like hard and the meat just seems very under cooked! Never again will we go there!!!

Both my wife and I got 2 different breakfast tacos. Both orders were wrong. Food wasn't that good either. Won't be going back.
