Great place, grill, bar, sushi, hibachi, saki etc. Great to come with friends or family, Chef was hilarious, all the ones I've ever had there were awesome and funny. If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for? Go get some good food and drinks! 😏
Very good the food was amazing
Visited this place because I was attending a conference nearby. I sat at the bar and he was wonderful. The food was great. However, it did lack a little seasoning. I ranked the atmosphere at a 4 because no one stepped in to stop these children from yelling and screaming around the pond in the middle of the resturant. They could have hurt themselves or someone else. Also, people go their to enjoy their dinner and don't want to hear that. Yes, it's the parents fault but unfortunately since the parents don't care about their kids safety, the resturant should. That's my only feedback. I would hate to see a kid injured.
The steak was amazing, was the best food ive ever had. He had a baby bottle with water and shot it in my mouth since im a minor and cant have alcohol, its somewhat kid friendly and the service was amazing, everything around had decor on it and they made fire in front of you.
Everything is always great here. The wait staff is super helpful and the food is always fresh. I have to eat Gluten free and they have gf soy sauce if u just ask. The atmosphere is nice and fun. U have hibachi tables and they have tons of fun and can be loud. Sushi is amazing and well prepared and fresh. They are happy to offer opinions just ask them. Go here. U wont be sorry.
An awesome place to go and eat reasonable prices and awesome food. And they make an excellent espresso martini
Took the family out for Father's Day. Just a great experience. Kind wait staff, delicious food, entertainment too! We always have a great time at Kyoto. They make the best leftovers too.
I had a great time and the food was delicious! Very entertaining!
It was very fun to go here for a special occasion. The hibachi did was excellent, the atmosphere was good. It was a good experience. Only complaint was one person ordered food from the kitchen which came out very underseasoned and very little flavor. But you go too a hibachi place for hibachi.
We go here every year for my daughters birthday because it's her favorite restaurant. Food is always amazing. The chefs are very entertaining. Plus, I'm all about any place that squirts free booze in my mouth.
We had a 12 shot drink for my gf’s birthday. It was expensive ($24) but twelve shots might set you back a few dollars so it’s well worth it. Our waiter Harry spoke mostly broken English, but was hilarious. He put on a show and my girlfriend and I were more than entertained. Filet mignon and chicken were amazing and perfectly cooked. I caught 4/5 items the chef throws in my mouth and my girlfriend was 1/2 My girlfriends birthday was that day so we got free fried ice cream, I clearly told them I would have a birthday this year, but they insisted i have a free one too. A+ say no more 🙏🏻☺️
I had my 30th Birthday dinner here with my mom and my husband. I love hibachi so much, and the little show they put on while making your meal is always a favorite. The food was great, and my drink was delicious! You may have to wait a few minutes or so to fill your table up a bit if you don't have that many people in your party. They will typically seat you with another family, or two.
Best restaurant ever!!! Skyler was super nice and caring, I 100% recommend her!
I can’t say enough about Kyoto, service, and pricing is top notch! If I could give more stars I would. A must to add to your favorite restaurants!
Hibachi is an excellent 'show' that the chef puts on. My sister turned 75 and never been to something like this before. She loved it.
This place is very nice. I would say till now this is my favourite japanese restaurant. Food are very tasty and I heard from one of my japanese colleague that its almost authentic. Price is little bit high here, but worthy. There are several types of hard drinks also available including 4-5 kinds of japanese beer. Hibachi (specially steak and shrimp) and Sushi must try.. Food quantity is also very good. Nice ambience.. You would surely fall in love with this place..
Best hibachi around! The staff is always friendly and they take reservations
It was amazing. The food was good, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was fun.
Food was amazing as usual! Service was amazing! Hibachi was a little boring
My go-to pick for birthday dinner every year! Amazing staff who make the meal truly an unforgettable experience each and every time. My kids love it here too as well! Great for all ages.
As always, delicious! Party of 8 on NYE was a good time! Short wait to be seated even though they were packed non-stop until we finished our meal. The Pineapple Martini and Pina Colada were delicious as well. All staff were friendly all night! I can't wait to go back. It is always a fun time. Entertainment and good food can't be beat! **Chicken hibachi meal is pictured and under the pile of vegetables (not normal amount - aunt next to me said no to the veggies, so I got them!)!
Had a good time with the kids except when the waiters start arguing between each other it was not cute but everything else was wonderful
I’ve been coming to this Maple Road staple for a while now, and it never disappoints. Whether you're sitting at the hibachi grill for the dinner-and-a-show experience or grabbing a quiet booth for sushi, the quality is always top-notch.
Lunch for my daughter and I was amazing. Thoughtful chef and the presentation matches the taste and quality. We come here for dinner but, decided to have lunch and the portions were more than enough. We spent about $100 and both got steak hibachi with rice and added sides of noodles, 2 margaritas and virgin strawberry daiquiri and a virgin Pina colada with a tempura ice cream for dessert. Well worth the money for an artistic dining experience.
Today we had a birthday celebration planned at Kyoto for a really large group. We had our drinks, we had just ordered and the power went out. The staff at Kyoto couldn’t have handled it better. They took steps to ensure everyone was safe, gave us honest updates on when power would be restored and did everything in their power to accommodate us. When it became apparent we weren’t going to be able to have our lunch and had to change plans, we tried to at least pay for our drinks. Noone would take our money and they continued to apologize for something they had no control over. Not sure what today’s power outage cost this restaurant today, but they fully earned my respect and loyalty. Nice job, Kyoto. Nice job❤️
We love coming here for the hibachi and sushi. It's always fresh and delicious, and the quality is pretty consistent, which can be hard to find. The only minor critique is that the lighting in the back gets very dark as the evening goes on. A little more light back there would make a huge difference!
Great experience from beginning to end... called and made a reservation for 7 ... the performance was amazing and the food was great. My son had a great time 4 his 17th birthday dinner. The kids really enjoyed the kid sueki drink. The kids hibachi menu is great very inexpensive. Strongly recommend this restaurant
Excellent service and good food for a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try. It's a good idea to call ahead and get a reservation if you want hibachi for dinner.

We wanted a teppan table/ hibachi experience. We tried the place for lunch and it was amazing. The serving size of freshly prepared food was tremendous. The performance of the chef was dazzling …
Good portions, excellent taste. Very expensive, but it's a good value for the amount of food, very tasty. Safe, clean.

The food was good and everything tasted fresh, but it was very expensive for what we ordered. The service was fine and I have no complaints there. We got about three appetizers, some veggie rolls, and two entrées, and the total came out to around $80. While the food itself was enjoyable, it didn’t feel worth the price. For the same quality and similar taste, I would honestly rather go to an all you can eat spot that’s much more affordable. The food here is good, but I don’t think the value matches the cost.
Well, they could turn the air conditioning on a little bit. It was kind of warm in there. The food was good. The cook was great. The server was great the white sauce nothing like what I have back home. It was a little water down, but I would go back there again.
It was actually okay. Worth the vist. Show that the cook did was okay. Parking could be better but overall experience was okay.
Been awhile since I've done hibachi. I wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed my steak and shrimp dinner. The lemon seop martini was delicious.
Food was excellent amd servers were attentive and kind! We had a party of 17 for a 40th birthday celebration and were almost literally pushed out the door at the end. I felt bad for the couple who were sat at our table who were the only ones not with our party. Not a place where you can stay and have an extra cocktail after your meal unless you move to the bar. Will be back with smaller parties because the food is so good!
Came here after not getting waited on at the restaurant next door and we are glad we did! The food was reasonably priced and it was good. The only thing we didn't like was the tempura appetizer it tasted kind of bland. We also didn't realize they put a tip on there for you while asking for a tip. So just be aware. It would have been nice to know before we got the check. We just saw a service charge and asked what thar was about. Would have been 5 stars if we had known.
We were visiting from Toronto and saw this place nearby - it’s definitely on the pricier side but the food was good. We got the love boat for two and asked for substitution and they delivered. The food was fresh and tasty. The restaurant inside is a bit dark on the lighting but overall we had a good time.
This was a fun experience, I have never been to a Hibachi before. Our waitress was absolutely delightful, and the chef very entertaining and engaging. They were accommodating of some special needs requests in our party. My only complaint was that the chicken was so overcooked, it was the texture and consistency of rubber. Despite that, I would return and try a different menu item less prone to overcooking.
The food was good but the service was very poor. The waitress took our order, brought us our drinks, and then basically ghosted us until after our hibachi meal was over and we were ready to leave. Ne…

Food is great but the customer service is horrible. Had reservations for dinner and was told by the server it would be over 30 mins wait. Host was very rude about it.

This establishment was visited in order to celebrate the birthday of a very dear friend and family member. The 5 of us settled on Hibachi with different proteins of steak, chicken and shrimp. We had fried rice and noodles as well as salad and stir fried vegetables. I ordered a sparkling water and was given a small bottle of Perrier. The cost of my beverage $4, the meal was around $37. Gratuities were $4 added into the bill and taxes were about $3.37. Total bill $48.17. I feel this is a little overpriced. The food was fair nothing fabulous. Not the best hibachi I’d ever eaten nor the worst. The atmosphere was not very lively as I believe there was a loss in translation of culture and the waitress spoke very little English as well as the other staff. The Bartender was very friendly and appeared to be the only American individual at the restaurant. Our Cook was friendly enough however, it really felt like a run of the mill place. It was a popular place and we were there around 5:00 pm to 6:45 pm. It became crowded as we were leaving. The portions of food were pretty large as I did end up with a take home box. I’d revisit this location in the future however, I would not order the steak and shrimp, just one protein and have water to drink.
Good food. Tables elbow to elbow; crowded. Service was not very friendly and abrupt, hurry you out the door for next sitting. Our chef was not very interactive (the next table had their chef back to back with ours, and he put on more of a show. ( "No squirt of Saki for us"!). We were a group of six and had been to a number of Hibachi restaurants before; Very disappointed.
BEWARE they add tip automatically to your check even if you are party of two and don’t tell you. This was for a booth table not hibachi
We were the only people in the restaurant for a late lunch before going to the movies. Sat at hibachi grill. The show was very good but food was just ok. Not as good as we remembered. We handed the chef a token of our appreciation. Then the bill came with an 18% service charge that someone hand wrote the word chef next to. Seriously, we caught it only because I saw the total amount was crazy expensive. I guess they expected us to leave another 18% or more for the server of beverages & appetizer but since they already charged 18% on the entire bill & tipped the chef, we did not. Regarding the food, chicken was a tad bit tough & filet was tasteless without dipping in sauce.
Service was great and so was the atmosphere. I just didn't really enjoy the food. But we had a good time.
Celebrated my son's 8th birthday here based on Google reviews. And we were very disappointed. Although the hibachi food was tasty, the hibachi chef we had was barely speaking and interacting with our table. He was mumbling the whole time and had zero energy in what he was doing. We also didn't get enough rice compared to the table near us.Our server , Tina, was hurrying us out the door. We weren't even done eating our food and she had the birthday cake out and the bill shoved in our faces. We went at 430 and the place was not even packed so I'm not sure why she was kicking us out. For the amount we paid, it was a horrible experience especially for my son who was excited to celebrate his bday there. The other tables seemed to have had a better experience, so I'm guessing it's a hit or miss type of situation. Make sure you mention no to henry as your hibachi chef and no to Tina as your server.
My understanding is that if the party is large, in most restaurants, tip is tacked on automatically. No big deal. Well, there were only 5 of us. We go for the experience of hibachi, which wasn't that exciting this time around but whatever, we had Ok food. I was blindsided by the tip being added automatically to our bill because it hasn't happened here before. But if you were not expecting it, it is a mild shock. I thought tips are based on service and experience. The waiter spent minimal time with us, never offered refills and the "chef" was, for lack of a better word, unremarkable. We were sat down in the separate room, and I watched an employee use a clean utensil to turn the cooking fan on and placed the utensil BACK on the napkin. Gross.
We went there today was not impressed. The employees seemed either tired or uninterested in guests today. The Hibachi chef was nice however seemed like he really did not want to be there . He seemed rushed and didn’t smile , maybe just an off day . The food was just ok! The steak was bland and didn’t taste great and the chicken was very bland and very dry ! BTW they automatically add a 18% tip which is fine I generally tip 18% -20% anyway just to let you know there’s also an add on tip on the receipt too. We like this place we will try again hopefully it will better !
I usually tip 18% anyway, but I don’t like being forced into it. The food was okay and didn’t feel very authentic. Service was acceptable, nothing special. The automatic 18% gratuity for a party of two was surprising and off-putting, and it definitely took away from the overall experience.
Restaurant has an unique atmosphere and was fairly quiet. Food was alright, although the salad and California roll tasted quite stale . The restaurant is a bit dark but it’s not hard to see. Portion sizes are okay, the bento box was pretty filling. They automatically charge you 18% for tips, the waiter wasn’t really attentive and it felt like we were being rushed to eat and order, even though we had sat down only for 30 mins.

easy parking! clean bathrooms !!! the food was ok !!! but we know that you pay for the chef's show which was good !!! would return? only on special occasions !!!!
Brought my grandson for dinner hoping for a good show like I remember in past visits. Chef was nice, cooked food well, but barely any show. So disappointed. Not like it used to be. I felt rushed by server to pay bill. I also object to the auto gratuity. Funny thing is, had the tip been my choice it would have been larger than what they allotted on the bill. You are forced to pay this and I have not seen this anywhere else. Unfortunately, I will find a different hibachi restaurant to patronize in the future.
I say average Hibachi Steak House. The Chefs cook good, but say the "show" they are supposed to put on is a little below average. Also I'd recommend to them to add more veggies to their fried rice... One thing I didn't care for is they slapped an automatic 18% service charge / tip. I did have a group of 9. But I really dislike a place that just automatically throws a tip on check.
Went out for Valentine’s Day with my wife, brother-in-law and his wife. I understand it was a busy night, but service was noticeably slow. After most of our food was served, we were only checked on once or twice. I ordered sashimi that never came. When I asked about it, I was told the chef overlooked the order. We waited another 30 minutes while the rest of the table finished eating, and it still didn’t arrive. I eventually had to ask to cancel it. Food was okay, but for the pricing, I expected better service and attention. I’ve been to many Japanese restaurants, and this experience was below standard.
Last night, a group of 28 of us dined at Kyoto Hibachi for what was meant to be a very special evening for someone in our party. When we made the reservation, we specifically requested the back room to accommodate our large group and the celebration. Upon arrival, we were told that the space had been given to another party, which was frustrating right from the start. Dinner itself was enjoyable and the chefs did a great job. However, at the end of the night, when we brought out a cake to celebrate, the experience took a disappointing turn. We politely asked the male hostess if we could have plates. His response was that it was “not his job to get plates” and that his job was only to seat people. We asked again kindly and received the same response. It was 8:00pm on a Sunday night. No one was waiting to be seated, and there was another hostess at the front as well. Our large group had just spent a significant amount of money there, and it took asking three different staff members before we were finally able to get anything to serve the cake on. In the meantime, we ended up eating cake out of a to-go container. We understand that staff have specific job titles, but this felt more like a lack of effort and willingness to accommodate guests than anything else. For a restaurant that hosts large parties and celebrations, this level of service was extremely disappointing and left a bad impression at the end of what should have been a memorable night. Because of this experience, we will not be returning.
I've been here before and it wasn't so bad. This time, however, was a different story. NOT pleased at all. Part of the Hibachi experience is the show-why does a party of 2 not get the same as a party of 6 or 8? Bored, no saki (very disappointing), and hardly a show was put on. The sauces were watered down to the point you couldn't taste them because it didn't stick to the meat, and the chicken and lobster were both overcooked. I never tend to give such a harsh review, but I won't lie about it either. The full tables got great service...we didn't seat ourselves, and paid an awful price for it. I won't be back

Came here for dinner last night, sat for a very long time waiting for refills. The food was not that good for “hibachi”. I asked to have my sushi before my meal, and I was brought both at the same exact time. My husband and I both feel very sick to our stomachs, and I have been puking constantly. It’s making me think we are food poisoned. Also the tip is automatically added for anyone who wanted to know! Won’t be going back. Such a beautiful atmosphere, disappointed with my experience.
We have loved it here until our last visit. My son wanted to go for his birthday. We had a party of 6 for the hibachi. We ordered 5 alcoholic beverages and one soda, 3 sushi rolls and each got a dinner. The shock came when we got the bill and there was an 18%chef surcharge on the bill, the TOTAL bill. He didn't pour our drinks or make our sushi!! The surcharge amounted to a whopping $56!!!!! This is added on and then a tip is expected for the rest of the staff? It is not disclosed ANYWHERE in the restaurant or online. The food is great, the waitstaff was friendly but we will never eat there again after this and we don't spare any expense when going out to eat since it is a rare occasion. Very, very disappointed. Never again
100% do not recommend. Charged us an 18% automatic gratuity for 4 adults and a toddler. We checked our bill and they charged our credit cards over $26 for each couple without authorization on top of the bill. Reported to credit card company.
Have always loved the food here but asked the hostess how long she thought the wait would be once our full party arrived as she was talking to my friend and she goes “I don’t even know who you are.” Is that really how we talk to people? Honestly I was shocked. I was just trying to figure out if I had time to eat or not before I had to pick up my husband from work. I get that my business isn’t important to them I’m just one person but like… dang!
I am a habachi fanatic I have been all over for it. This is the worst habachi restaurant I've ever been to. The food was not that great. The chicken tastes like processed microwaved food. The sauces were so watered down that they ran off the food an you could not taste them at All. The soda refills are not free. This is not a good choice. I will never be back
Just ordered take out and got all the way home 30mins away just for my order to not be right i order steak and double noodles and got this and they told me the only thing they can do is have me bring the food back in and remake it the guy is trying to tell me that its not wrong because he packaged it as if i was lying they just lost a customer
Scam alert- read til the end. We have been to this restaurant several times before, but it’s been a while. I’m not sure what has happened, but the place is awful now! The woman that seated us wasn’t rude, but she definitely wasn’t friendly. The waitress, same thing. My son got the sea bass, which was $35 for a small piece of fish and rice. It was also styled very oddly. My husband and I got chicken teriyaki, which was completely inedible. The chicken was so overcooked that you couldn’t chew it. The amount of food we got was also very small- much smaller than before. We spent $126 for three people and left hungry. (We actually went to the mall after and ate there.) However, I wouldn’t have ever written a bad review, I just wouldn’t have gone back. The reason for the review is because when I looked at the bill, we were charged almost $9 for tax, which made sense, but we were charged an 18% service fee. What in the world is a service fee? We have never paid it before, and there was nothing on the menu saying that there was a “service fee.” I doubt this is legal, especially without telling people ahead of time. Reminds me of some stories that I’ve heard about tourist restaurants in Italy. Anyway, I hope they get shut down because the dishonesty at this place is just outrageous!
Went out for Valentine's day with my partner, I understand they were busy but the service was some of the worst we have ever experienced. Our server didn't check on us once, we were there for over an hour and didn't get a single refill on our drinks. We wanted to order more drinks but couldn't because our server just didn't come back until it was time to drop off the check. I get the check and they force you to pay a 18% tip, when she didn't in any way shape or form deserve that percentage of a tip. It felt like she knew we were going to be forced to Tip so she didn't care to even provide us with halfway decent service. I was livid having to pay over 140$ for two people and TERRIBLE service. If I could go back we would not have went there, it was not how we thought it would be.
Usually it's fun and the food is good. So they give shrimp appetizer with hibachi grill. DO NOT ORDER SHRIMP. They do not clean and devein the shrimp properly at all. Disgusting. So now I'm wondering how much care and attention the pay to the prep of the other food. I'm not eating there again. If you do stay attentive to your food.
Charged 18% on 2 lunch specials when I was unhappy with the service I have been coming here for years, and today was hungry and remembered they had a lunch special. Server Amy was rude and rushing us to order when we are the only people sitting in the dining section. I would never send a dish back that I didn't like but because she was so rude I felt comfortable telling her we didn't like our soup and it was watery. She tried to tell me "No it's probably just not your favorite." I love sushi and hibachi and everything associated. Definitely turned off by this experience. Shrimp is rubbery and the food is greasy and oily. Guest I was with could not stomach his chicken teriyaki because it was so rubbery. I will never come back here again.
🚨BEWARE!!! I went to go pick up take out on Saturday 11/23. I wasn’t even given a total, the girl at the register just took my debt card and handed it back along with the receipts. When I went to sign my jaw dropped instead of the $31 for my dinner I saw $77,893.37 and a partial amount went through for $4,868.23 and it did come out of my bank account! The girl didn’t even say anything just expected me to sign! When I confronted her, she said oh I made a mistake….. ummm what?!?!? I understand mistakes happen maybe a 5 instead of a 3, whatever but you ran my card for seventy seven thousand, that is not a mistake that is pure ignorance. Then, I asked who owns this place let me speak with an owner or phone number to call. The response I got was, oh they are unreachable they are in China at their vacation home. Then another manager came out and then proceeded to tell me my money would be back in my account in 10 minutes, so I said I would wait…..that was a lie. When she realized I wasn’t leaving she said it wouldn’t be until Monday. No apologies or sympathy what so ever is what is making me post this review! Lesson learned always use a credit card and not a debt card at places like these
If you think this food is good then you don't know what good food is. Food quality was low, while cost was high. The guy who cooked for us performed like it was his first day. He just cooked, barely a show. He undercooked the shrimp. No seasoning on the meat. The seafood had a musty, moldy taste to it, like if you walked into your grandfather's basement. Some of the staff were polite and attentive (waitress). Some were a little rude (front desk). Nearly $400 for 4 adults, 2 kids and it was sub par. Never coming back here.
