Food is great, view to the canal is amazing, service is great and friendly. The store is small but has some good stuff amd there are always some discounts.

Quite enjoyable at the Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam. The food and the service is excellent. We had a birthday here and the waiters made sure it was very memorable. We loved it. Book ahead to guarantee a table particularly during the holiday season.

Stupidly came here on a Saturday evening (4th October 2025) without a booking! We were told if we waited an hour they might be able to do something so we decided to sit in the reception area given the horrendous rain outside (tail-end of Storm Amy) and how hungry we were. We waited 40 minutes before we were seated, but amused ourselves during the interim watching people outside fighting the wind for their umbrellas, similar to us on the walk up! The food was amazing as it is at every HRC but the one thing that really set this site apart was the service - the guy serving us was rushed off his feet but not once did he show any sign of pressure! He was so helpful and friendly! In the end, we had a lovely meal before venturing back out into rain.

An excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant and iconic, perfectly matching the Hard Rock brand, and the location is ideal in the heart of Amsterdam. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and served fresh, with generous portions and great presentation. What truly stood out, however, was the service — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. We visited hard rock whilst in Amsterdam and were really taken aback by just how friendly the team were. They went out of their way to make our meal and experience one that we will remember. The cocktails here are great and you get the opportunity to get discounted glasses and shot glasses if you order. The restaurant was clean and the food was well cooked. All in all we thought it was a great addition to the trip and can’t wait to visit again.

Food was quality. Staff are friendly and service is good. Our waiter Luis is particularly attentive.

We have been here before and at a few different locations too. But today we were only calling in to grab a glass as the last one from here had broken. On the off chance we asked if there was any tables and there was. We both really enjoyed the food, the steak salad and ribs are highly recommended. The apple pie and ice cream was a lovely dessert and is definitely big enough for two to share.

Came to the Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam while me and my fiancé were visiting the city end of January. We had such a lovely evening here and it was our first evening in the city. Staff were so friendly and the service was very quick. We got loads of cocktails, you even get a free cocktail glass. The food was amazing and we had a table by the river which I loved. We went for the chicken fajitas which is my favourite food to eat. We were too full to have any Dessert. Next time I'm back in the city I would 100% come back here. And of course we had to go in the Photo Booth before we left :)

Restaurant isn’t busy when we arrived but it takes a bit for us to get seated.. Ambience is a classic Hard Rock Cafe where you could See some famous personality memorabilia around the restaurant.. Our waiter is very attentive on our needs and food came quick and do not dis appoint as always expected from a great restaurant chain.

Hard rock was an amazing experience with great food! Me and my girlfriend got the gold package and we only paid like 36 euros each for a great burger menu with desert as well. Totally recommend the place especially for those who enjoy the music in the 70’s - 2000’s.

The service was excellent and fast, and the person who attended to us was very sweet and kind. We ordered nachos and a cheeseburger. The nachos were very filling on their own, and everything on top was delicious and just as it should be—I definitely recommend them. However, I didn’t like the burger, to be honest. The patty was extremely tough and had a lot of gristle; I kept biting into hard pieces, which I need to point out. The burger didn’t make me happy. The atmosphere is nice, a classic Hard Rock vibe. At the entrance downstairs, there’s a separate bar and their own store where you can also do some shopping.

One of the main reason we visit HRC all over the world is good veg options and great ambience. We went for dinner on a Saturday evening without reservation but luckily we got a table within 5 minutes. The view from table was awesome. We had wine, veg salad and nachos. The portions were quite sufficient for both of us. The service was very quick. Worth visiting.

I heard some live music so I stopped inside, best choice I made. Great entertainment. Fantastic atmosphere! Great restrooms & right across the street from the Fritz hotel.

Excellent food and considering the prices everywhere else in Amsterdam, pretty reasonable pricing. The staff were very accommodating, fast and had a sense of humour. Not usually a fan of Hard Rock after the way they behaved in Glasgow, but this one is worth a visit.

Stopped in briefly just to grab souvenirs and had a great experience. Luca helped us out and was excellent — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made the stop quick and enjoyable, even though we were short on time. If our schedule allowed it, we definitely would have stayed to eat. All of the staff at Hardrock are amazing, but a very special mention to our server Davyd! He was so helpful and accomodating regarding food intolerances and made all the necessary changes to ensure we had an amazing meal. He completely erased any concerns regarding eating out when dealing with dietary restrictions which is so appreciated ☺️

We visited Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam as a group of friends and had a great time. The atmosphere was lively, with rock music playing, cool decor, and lots of music memorabilia on the walls, which made the whole place feel fun and energetic. It’s located in a nice spot near the canals, which also adds to the experience. We ordered burgers, and the food was top quality. The burgers were juicy, cooked perfectly, and came with tasty sides. The portions were generous, and everyone in our group was really happy with their meal. We also tried a few drinks from the bar, and they were well made and served quickly. A very lovely spot if you’re looking for amazing burgers and great cocktails! The location is perfect — close to several museums and even a casino. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the fries were fantastic. Everything was super tasty, and the view while eating by the canal made it even better. Such a wonderful place!

We purchased the Ride my Bike combo through the website, which included three dishes and two drinks per person. We found the amount of food small for the considerably high price. However, the food was tasty, and the service was 10/10 — full attention and care with our requests and questions, lots of charisma, from the table to the little shop. We really enjoyed the experience and were happy to be so well taken care of! And most importantly, the exhibition collection is really cool, especially for those immersed in the life of music. We also missed the live music, it would be great if they could offer it more times during the week! 😕

Offers an entire gluten free menu, a lot from the main menu that they just slightly change. Sizing is basically the same despite it being gf. The staff are friendly and helpful with restrictions and just service in general. The burger with the flags is gf and the other is a regular one.

I’ve been to several Hard Rocks around the world, and honestly, I expected more from this one. I think it could use a remodel; everything feels quite dull and lacks the chain’s signature decoration. The only good things about this location are the canal views and the delicious fajitas. We asked to change tables but were told no, even though the restaurant was nearly empty and we had a reservation, so we were a bit disappointed… I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I stopped in here for dinner one evening. I was greeted and was sat right away. Our server was excellent they were quick and very spoke English. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were very good. For the table, we had the brownie sundae with ice cream and whip cream. I have been to other locations of this restaurant and this location is much better than others.

We visited for food and drinks, and the Rock Shop 🛍️ Our server was excellent My ribs very tasty Limited draught beer, but Heineken was on offer It's a long way from the city centre, but we found a handy tram to get us back 🚃 Rock Shop well stocked. I suggest eating first as a scratch card got us discount on retail purchases

Cool atmosfere and decor. Service very quick, sometimes too quick like when they took my drink that wasnt fully finished and I didnt have the time to stop them. Very pleased they specifically ask if there are any allergies. The cocktails were overpriced and not very good. My mojito had mint that wasnt crushed, no sugar and ice cubes instead of crushed ice. For 14.60 thats not good enough. The nachos are the bomb, super delicious with the different toppings well devided! Its pricy but a big portion so thats all good. The guacamole (6 euro extra) was fresh and tasty. But as a vegetarian this is not your place to eat. The only vegetarian main dish(if not a salad) was fajitas and the veggies sadly had no seasoning or flavour. If they could get a veggie burger it would improve so much. Would come again for the nachos and a drink(but not a cocktail). For nachos to share, 2 main dishes and 2 cocktails each we spend 130 euro(not including tip).

The food is absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend the BBQ Ribs. The cocktails are expensive but huge. Definitely worth the money, one cocktail felt like I had drunk 5 in one. The waiter was lovely. However, it was quite cold and the door kept opening every minute making it colder. Kept my coat on. Overall, I would visit again.

We popped in to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and have a plate of turkey and stuffing. Very nice location, decent food but the service was outstanding. Ada was our server and she made our daughter’s birthday such a delightful experience. We would like to thank her for the time and attention she heaped on our little girl. (And it was her own birthday at that!) Thank you Ada and the entire team for making the day a memorable one.

I visited Hard Rock Cafe for dinner during my trip to Amsterdam. The highlight of my experience here was the staff, who were amazing and couldn’t do more to make my visit as amazing as possible. They were friendly, kind and spoke great English too, also offering a free dessert and celebration, as I mentioned, I was visiting Amsterdam for my birthday, which was the following day. This was my second time visiting this Hard Rock Cafe location, which I first visited in December 2022 before my most recent visit in December 2025. The location is great, it’s right by the canals, and a short walk away from the Marriott and Apple Store, located on Max Euweplein. The vibes inside the place are cool, as you’d find at any Hard Rock. They do have disabled access, including a mobility lift and a ramp. Although some may find this difficult, it’s nice to see the space open to everyone, so a disabled member of my party could join us. On my most recent visit, I went for the Smokehouse BBQ Combo with pulled pork and chicken. I found the portion size to be a little small, especially for the price, with the dish coming to €25.95 - the food was slightly disappointing, it was a little dry and chewy, and just lacked much flavour overall. It felt more like a fast-food experience than a great dining experience. For drinks, I went for the Electric Blues Cocktail with my own collectable glass (The selection of glasses in the shop was cool, and I was able to go for a Tiki glass), this contained vodka, rum, gin, Blue Curaçao and even Red Bull, and considering there was so much going on, it didn’t really taste of much and I wouldn’t order it again. Sadly, my usual Hard Rock favourite, the Southern Rock, wasn’t listed on the menu at this location. When my food was served, it came without the beans and coleslaw, which I found to be odd, as the dish regularly includes beans/coleslaw in other Hard Rock locations. The coleslaw is stated to be included on the gluten-free menu, but it seems to be different here, as I also had this issue on my visit back in 2022. I do feel the gluten-free menu needs to be updated as it’s listing things which aren’t possible, and I wasn’t told about this ahead of time, so it felt misleading. The staff here are great, and the overall vibes with the views of the canals is also pretty cool, although food standard could be improved, I would consider returning on future trips to the city.

Not like other Hard rock restaurants. Needs renovation. The location is great with a view at the canal. But the inside is not attractive. However,they have gluten free dishes.

If you collect Hard Rock T-shirts like me then this is a must during your visit to A-dam. But does anyone really go there for the food? I mean it was good and everything but with myriad really excellent restaurants to pick from Hard Rock isn't where I'd go if I wanted a culinary experience. If you want a Hard Rock Cafe experience, this one satisfies! We had an excellent server (thanks "Paul"), a great canal view from our table, and the food was good enough. Along with all the cool music artifacts hanging everywhere this is a fun stop if you have time to penetrate that far into Amsterdam.

The food is not very interesting and service was so-so. Nothing to write home about except that it's in a good location. I wouldn't go back.

I was really looking forward to going here after doing the one in London. The place was a little run down and definitely is reaching the point of a refurb required. Servers seemed to be a bit all over the place when we first arrived and were having a little disagreement between themselves before taking us to our seats. Our server himself wasn’t then the most attentive either and lacked any real warmth or charisma. With all that said, the American fayre food was delicious. My classic smash burger was one of the better burgers I’ve had. We went on a Wednesday evening and they had 40% off house bottles of wine and draught beer so worth checking it out if you want a cheaper meal with some cheaper drinks!

Poor service from the reception staff, a role that requires attentiveness and the ability to provide solutions without upsetting guests. Patricia saved the situation, as she was super polite and very informative. The food was quite good.

We celebrated new years in HRC, I must say it was underwhelming. It wasn't that it was bad, but it wasn't really good either. It used to be great, and it used to be worth the extra costs coming with the brand. 1. The food was ok, the bill reflected awesome. 2. The atmosphere was ok, the potential could have been awesome, but it's all old. TVs unsharp, music old and not rock. Not a single rock song. 3. Service was great. It feels like going to a concert of an old artist playing the same one hit wonder 3 times. It brings old memories back, but it's not very good anymore. Either be expensive and great or at least match the bill with the cheap taste of the food, expensive and meh food is only leading to you being a brand we used to know.

Very disappointing experience at Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam. The welcoming staff were arrogant and rude, and despite many empty tables, we were kept waiting unnecessarily. Their attitude made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. Not the level of service you expect from a globally known brand. Pizza for children is frozen pizza Burgers are ok

Do NOT go here if you’re vegan!!! I knew better than to go to Hard Rock and ask for a vegan burger, but when you call beforehand and they assure you they can make every single one of their burgers vegan, you’d think your expectations are at least slightly valid. The burger I got was one of the saddest things I’ve ever eaten (see photo) for 22 euros. All I got were 2-3 pickles, cheese, a patty and no sauce at all. I don’t think it would’ve hurt them to maybe put a tomato slice, onions or lettuce (some very vegan ingredients). The cherry on top: they make you pay 1 euro extra to make it vegan… only to remove every ingredient in the burger. Do better, or don’t do it at all!
