This would be a 4 star outside Disneyland, but it stands out compared to other options inside the park. My shrimp pasta was pretty good, I would have preferred the shrimps a bit more seasoned. Salmon dish was also good and not overcooked. Chips on the side were too hard. Prices were reasonable
In my opinion. This is an underrated gem. We had no problem getting in and were seated on the patio. I ordered the buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes. It was delicious! Crispy, slightly spicy, tender chicken breast. Creamy mashed potatoes and a surprisingly good apricot bbq sauce. The weakest point of this plate was the coleslaw, not seasoned and it was warm. My husband has celiacs disease and is vegan. He ordered the grain bowl. He said the flavors were well developed, delicious and he would get it again. He even said it edged out the gumbo at Tiana's palace in flavor. Bottom line. We had never been here before. Would not hesitate to return. Give it a try, you might be as surprised as we were.
We did the fantasmic dining experience. At night. For fantasmic show. Although the show busted 3/4 way in. Villain got stuck coming out. The food was so good. Amazing 3 course meal.
First time eating here. The restaurant is pretty nice inside but it feels like I mended to have a tea party . Service was quick. It took them about 5-10 minutes for food to come out. The best I ate were the house fries. The chicken was a little dry. Pancakes were alright. If I must say $10 for a side order scrambled eggs is outrageous 💀 ate every crumb.
We have dined here on several occasions, and so far it has never been a disappointment. We had brunch this time around, and everything was so delicious. The plates looked huge, tasted like magic, but yet was very light on the stomach. Our plates consisted of the American Breakfast, Biscuits and Gravy, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes. Stew/Mickey Mouse was our server, and we are glad he was. Very attentive to our needs and making sure our meal was the greatest. Thank you Stew!!
I came here for my Birthday supper and I loved it! The food is delicious, the service is fast (though I strongly recommend placing a reservation), servers are kind & helpful and the patio area has a great view. A huge standout is the allergy options, in particular those for celiacs. Not only do they give a dedicated menu but they even double check with the chef/cooking team to ensure no cross contamination! A very good restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommended.
My absolute favorite restaurant!! The food is amazing! The service is the best. And the atmosphere is unlike anything else. Ive eaten here 3 or 4 times in my life! I love it so much. It's pricey sure. But you're paying for the whole package and the great food. It's worth it to me.
After getting off the Pirates of the Caribbean and walking past, we were able to see they were taking walk-ins. What a delightful treat after a long day at Disneyland. It was nice to be able to sit down and have a wonderful meal. That was our waiter and he was absolutely phenomenal. He worked with us and helping us to make decisions when we were having a hard time His service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we did have a couple of little kerfuffles however he was able to overcome them. This was a great dining experience 10 out of 10 recommend if you’ve ever been on the Pirates of the Caribbean you’ve seen the restaurant you should definitely take time out. It does have a little bit of a small menu with not a lot of options, but they are willing to work with you. The bread is delicious. The steak was outstanding didn’t really like the flavored butter, but the butter with the bread you could eat without the bread, got some of the melted butter to put on the baked potato, and you could pretty much drink that stuff. It was so delicious. It really added an extra layer of yummy to the potato. The Dubai chocolate cheesecake was a little bit odd with the raspberry Cooley and chocolate rocks. I was a little perplexed by the oat crumble. On a sidenote, almost every restaurant in Disneyland and little cart stand that has a dessert comes with an oat crumble. I’m not really sure why they might’ve gotten a really good deal on oat crumble or somebody is just a really big fan, but I don’t think that it added to this dessert in any way shape or form. Again 10 out of 10 recommend coming. It is a little pricey, but the portions are great and the service is outstanding.
My friend was able to get a same day reservation, I recommend checking the disney app throughout the day. We checked in and waited about five minutes for our table. We were seated right by the water, the view was so cool! Our server was David, a five out of five star server! We tried the market fish (it was trout that day), roasted chicken and the 70th anniversary meal. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Reasonable portions, enough to fill you up for a few hours. It was very nice to be able to get a full and balanced meal in since everything at the park is usually fried. Only downside was a group of kids that were left unattended by their parents and were screaming at the passengers from the pirates ride. The staff addressed the issue quickly and in a kind matter. The staff was very friendly and shared good jokes. We had a great experience. Highly recommend.
I’ve eaten here many times over the years and the atmosphere at this restaurant beats any nostalgic feeling any other Disney restaurant at any Disney park in the world can offer. The atmosphere and seating especially next to the to the river and watching all the people on the pirates of the Caribbean ride is an incredible feeling. The food is always good but the ambiance of this restaurant is second to none. It will always remain my favourite Disney restaurant. Pro tip, wake up 2 months in advance at 6am PST and make your reservation on the Disney website, otherwise there’s a chance you never get to eat here or experience what Walt Disney wanted us to experience before he died.
We were so excited to make reservations to eat at the Blue Bayou restaurant inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. We had a late evening meal and everyone was extremely happy with the food that was served. We got a variety off the menu and were pleased with each meal. The crab cakes were a pleasant appetizer to start off our meal. The market fish was amazing and very tasty. Our female server was ok, but nothing special. She rarely came to our table and then spilled water on my daughter when she passed by. The man JR was amazing!!!! He was super sweet and made our meal amazing and gave us great suggestions of places to visit while at the park. We felt well taken care of with him. Overall, if you want a spectacular experience for the ambiance of a cool place to eat, then make sure to make reservations here. The food is expensive (30-60 a plate) but the food is quite delicious and worth it. I wish we had room for dessert, since we saw several tables order and were impressed with what we saw.
We’ve always wanted to eat here and luckily we were able to get a reservation. We got the 11:00 lunch reservation which was nice as it had just opened for lunch. There was a little piece that was confusing, there were so many people coming up to ask questions. It wasn’t clear that we could have waited in the waiting area a few minutes early before our reservation. It would be nice if they had a line for reservations and a line for others. The service was fabulous, friendly, personal and they seemed engaged… everyone from the server to the gentleman who delivered our entrees and the lady who collected our plates and gave us refills. The food was delicious. My dad got the Monte Cristo sandwich and I got the chicken. I should have asked to have less spice to mine… seeing as we were at a Cajun restaurant… that’s my bad, not theirs. My dad got the ice cream Sunday minus the chocolate sauce, which was on the side anyway. It was a cute Disney presentation with the cookies on the side of the scoop and was very Mickey-esque. We sat on the edge of the water which was exactly what we’d hoped for but didn’t ask. It was very peaceful and relaxing to be able to sit there for lunch and to be removed from the crowds. It is a little pricey but it’s an upscale restaurant with upscale service and food to match. Would come back!
Absolutely loved our experience dining here. The photos are from 2 different times. Their pre fix meals are amazing! Bone-in ribeye size is as big as my hand. Cajun style chicken with rice was wonderful, not too dry. The porg seemed to be eyeing both ribeye and cajun chicken. Atmosphere is intimate with a side of humor. We were sat near the edge where the people on the boat from Pirates of the Carribean can see, some were mostly asking "How's the food??" The waiters and waitresses were super friendly! We always try and make a point out of making reservation here when coming to Disneyland because the place and the whole experience makes it special after a long day in the theme park.
Every time my fiancé and I dine here, it’s been an incredible experience! We both got the gumbo as a starter (an absolute must) and a got the 70the anniversary pre-fixe which was exemplary! The salad was fresh, while the ribeye… it’s a steak that dreams are made of. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, seasoned perfectly! The chocolate pistachio cheese cake was a perfect finale! My fiancé had the chicken(not pictured) and loved it! For dessert she got the doberge cake which was DELICIOUS (she gave me a bite ) and it looked great too! Definitely worth the effort! Hurricanes were tasty as always too!
Blue Bayou is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland. For being in the heart of New Orleans Square, it feels so serene. The outdoor patio decor, the candlelight, and the position next to Pirates first river just feels so magical. The food is excellent, challenged only by, perhaps, Cathay Circle or Lamplight Lounge. The menu changes seasonally, though certain staples, like steak, market fish, and jambalaya remain. Reservations are very difficult to come by; they seem to fill up immediately. Your best bet is to constantly check the app for cancellations or walk-up availability. But once you're inside, the dinner is pure Disney magic.
Wow so I had read reviews ahead of time and wasn’t expecting as good an experience as I had. They surpassed all expectations and the pre Fix meal and service was 10/10! Had a delicious Salad, perfectly cooked rib eye with shrimp, and pistachio cheesecake dessert. Got an amazing seat for a blue bayou first timer by sheer luck and the gal who was serving us was attentive and made sure we had refills and everything we needed. It surpassed my expectations and best food I’ve had in a theme park by far! Highly recommend and fyi you have to make reservations well in advance!
Amazing service. My water and mint julep were never empty. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I am both gluten and dairy free. That combo can be tricky and they were able to show me options, such as the prime rib with double veggies or adapting the potatoes, the basil lemon pasta is plant based and they were able to make it gluten free with gf pasta. The chef came out and double checked a couple items I was worried about to make sure they were celiac safe. If you don’t have a reservation, show up about 15 mins early and try to get in the standby list. It’s worth it.
Dining at Blue Bayou inside Disneyland was such a magical experience. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere swept us away — lanterns glowing, fireflies twinkling, and the soft buzz of the Pirates of the Caribbean boats drifting by. It felt like stepping right into another world. The food was just as wonderful! We started with the gumbo and crab cakes — both packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The pesto pasta was fresh, rich, and so satisfying. Every bite made the experience even more memorable. The staff was warm and attentive, making sure everything felt special from start to finish. Blue Bayou isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a Disneyland must-do — cozy, romantic, and whimsical all in one. An unforgettable meal in the middle of the magic!
We love Blue Bayou! It is a tradition every time we visit Disneyland we eat here. The ambiance is so fun! I love watching the boats from Pirates go by. They do fun seasonal drinks, we always get a gumbo, it’s a must. I recommend getting the gumbo. They change up their menu depending on the time of year. Last time we were there, we tried the prime rib and it was exceptional. It was seasoned so nice and very tender. We ordered a kids meal for our almost 2 year old daughter. It was a good size. She loved the spaghetti, mashed potatoes and strawberries. We have never had a bad meal here and the service is always great.
I absolutely love this restaurant, the steak cuts are amazing and the way the steak is cooked, is beyond delicious 🤤. The hostess was very sweet and accommodated us without a reservation, but the servers could be a lil friendlier. Overall it’s a great place to have steak. It’s one of my top 5 steak dine-in restaurants. This is as of 8/2025. Prime Rib plate with Mash potatoes and Veggies. Bread is not included by the way..
Lucky I was able to secure a reservation here for dinner because they were fully booked out!! I wanted to take mum here because when I visited Japan Disneyland I had dinner at the same restaurant and I absolutely love the food and overlooking the waters and seeing people on the boats go past! The service was great and mum and I had shared the 70th celebration set menu package which we had halved and it was so much food. I was very fond of the ribeye steak. I haven’t eaten ribeye in years and it was delicious. Literally devoured it in seconds, I was so hungry.!! All of the food was absolutely phenomenal, especially the desert. I loved the dessert. We had a really great experience here and got talking to a few of the other customers in the restaurant too which was lovely ❤️✨ however, I wasn’t too comfortable with the idea of our server low-key begging for a tip because to be honest, he wasn’t that very good of a server. He wore a mask and we had communication issues 🤭🤣 thank you for the exceptional dinner we had!! I loved the meal and the experience coming to Disneyland for the first time!!

Good food, the prime rib feels like butter the moment my knife touches it. The gumbo could use more work. Great servers, love the night setting inside the restaurant.

I love Disney and have an annual pass, and so I am biased toward giving high marks too much of what Disney does. River Belle Is one of the better restaurants within the Disneyland park, and it is also one of the only restaurants where you can get table service. So that makes it a great choice in many ways. Nevertheless, Disney could up its game a little bit at River Belle. For example, I ordered blackened fish and the menu does not state that it is blackened salmon, and if it did, I would not have gotten it because I’m not a big fan of salmon. My bad. Still, it was that’s mushy sort of salmon. Delicious potato chips, by the way. Plus the chicken dish that I saw on other tables looks delicious. That said I prefer to get it from the Plaza restaurant on Main Street, which has the best fried chicken on the planet! The tables are sort of put together in a cafeteria style, so it doesn’t exactly fit the menu prices. My table felt as if it was dangling in the middle of the room with a lot of space all around me. Yes, I’m grateful for the extra space, but I felt like I was sitting out in the open. By the way on a warm day in the high 70s, the restaurant was freezing and I did not have a jacket obviously and so I was freezing the whole time in the early evening. The staff is friendly as she would expect at Disney so I will give the staff high marks. Well deserved Given the challenge, they have of serving such a high volume of people. I will keep going back to the River Belle, Because it still has a number of good items on there And it is tough to find table service within the park.
I recommend getting a reservation to eat here. Came here for my son’s birthday and as you make your reservations on the Disney app, you can also include a birthday cake as an add on to your reservation. My husband and I ordered the chicken pot pie soup and the children ordered Mac and cheese and fries. The food was good and the cake was so cute and it was delicious! Service was super nice! We enjoyed coming here for an early dinner for my son birthday!
Ambiance/Environment: This spot is located in New Orleans Square - Frontierland. It’s easier walking through Adventureland because you’ll find this restaurant on the right side at the end. It’s a very casual spot with American foods. Wait time: They were busy in the afternoon. I was quoted a wait time of 40 min, but my table was ready within 15 min. Highly recommend booking reservations through the Disneyland app prior. If they’re accepting walk ups, you can partner with the cast member at the podium or join the waitlist on the app. You’ll be notified when the table is ready via text. Once you get the text, you have 10 min to return to the podium to be seated. Service: Everyone was very attentive and kind! I wasn’t able to catch everyone’s names, but shout out to my server Matthew! I was checked on a few times, my water was consistently full, and empty plates removed. Brunch: I ordered the Big Belle Sandwich and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding. The Big Belle Sandwich is HUGE! You can share this between two people. It contained Nashville hot chicken, brisket mac and cheese, house made slaw, and served with house fries. I was not expecting this to be stacked. The Nashville hot chicken had a nice spicy kick to it. The brisket mac and cheese was creamy, but I prefer a bit more brisket. The bread in between each layer made the sandwich even more filling. The fries were seasoned well and paired deliciously with the sandwich! For desserts, I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding. It tasted as expected. Sweet, chocolatey, and nutty. Pricing: This is theme park food, so of course prices are higher than expected. One dish alone can feed two people. I’d say it’s worth it! Great for lunch and dinner while in Disneyland.
We ate here as part of the package for the Fantastics show. What a fun place to eat. We had reservations and was able to eat within 15 minutes of the reserved time. Interior is like the 1890's. Server was very busy ,but gave us all the time we needed. Menu is limited in a good way. We started with spicy meatballs in polenta, Delicious! I had the pork chop dinner (4.5 stars), my partner had the chicken sandwich with the whole dinner in-between 3 slices of thick bread. (3.8 stars. Indeed it was spicy. Chicken, Mac and cheese were all in there. Enormous portion but he enjoyed it. Dessert was apple crisp with ice cream.(4star) For a sit down fun experience at Disneyland, go and have a very relaxed dinner.
Food here is good, not great, but pretty good for in the park. The burnt ends pasta is a fun and unique dish. They have a lot of choices and it’s a nice place to just go sit down and chill. They have seating for the evening shows outside which is pretty cool as well. Service is decent, they are just so busy in there .
We came here around dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated quickly though we did need to first make a reservation on the app. This is a sit down restaurant but it was still very fast service. Our drinks came within five minutes and our food was out soon after. The quality of the food was good but not amazing. I got the loaded fries and was surprised by how spicy they were. I enjoyed the extra kick but they lacked much flavor. My partner got the BBQ pasta and they really enjoyed it. We also tried the signature cocktail and loved it. Best drink we have had at Disneyland.
The outside patio dinning had a beautiful atmosphere. For how crowded Disneyland was, it seemed peaceful and removed. It was beautiful to see the lights of the steamboat as it passed. Our service was adequate but I was really disappointed when one time our server came to our table to ask how things were and he wasn’t even looking at us. For Disney being so service oriented and everyone so friendly and happy that seemed very impersonal and like service we’d get at a low scale restaurant. He wasn’t pleasant enough overall but just didn’t seem engaged. It’s interesting that when we left my dad and I had the same thoughts. The chicken pot pie soup was delicious and very filling and quite warm which was nice. The second hot chocolate was warmer than the first…. I would definitely eat there again!
Okay, let me explain, my daughter ordered the delicious halibut. The remaining three of us ate the roasted chicken & rice. The guys loved it, I ate the majority of the chicken, but the rice was just too spicy for my liking. Three of us ordered wine, and my husband ordered a coffee. With a tip, we are talking about a three-hundred-dollar meal. It was fun to say we did, but we won’t do it again. I want to savor my meal, where every bite melts in my mouth, not where the flavors are too spicy, so that they overtake the enjoyment of the meal. Must make reservations. We did a 9:30 sitting because it was during Fantasmic so there were hardly any diners or many people staring from the ride to watch us eat. Win-win.
Food was okay. Both of us ordered the prime rib. The regular one was VERY salty, and the welldone one was cut very thick with a lot of fat trimmings for some reason. The service from the waiters was AMAZING. BUT make sure you remember your magic key discount, especially with such an expensive bill. They WILL NOT ask for discounts and refuse to fix it if not applied. Spoke with (I'm assuming) the manager about this. This was our first time going, I don't think we will be back, but a cool thing to experience at least once.
Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Drinks: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Parking: n/a Reservations strongly recommended. Theme park ticket to Disneyland Resort required (as it’s in the park). It’s a tradition for my family to stop by Blue Bayou. My only constructive critique would be to add an additional vegetarian offering, as one is fairly limited. Beyond that it’s my favorite place to dine in the parks, and I think the expanded alcohol selection is a nice touch!
We have enjoyed many wonderful meals and service here. The outstanding atmosphere is the most unique in the parks. My husband has celiacs disease and is vegan. His go to dishes here are the beet salad and pistachio lemon basil pasta (yes, they can make it GF upon request), delicious! I really enjoy the prime rib when it's available (also gf, not vegan). Sip a glass of wine, watch the boats go by and enjoy getting off your feet with some good food, cheers!

There are so many great places to eat in the Disneyland Resort area, but this isn’t one of them. We’ve eaten here 3 times, however the last two times were just to get the Fantasmic dining package. Not once have we ever enjoyed our meal. The food is edible and we eat it, it just doesn’t taste very good. The impossible meatballs were good, better than a lot of real meatballs I’ve had…everything else we had was mediocre to not good. My youngest daughter got the chicken, which was boring, but expected for a kid’s meal. The biscuits were over baked, so very hard on the outside and dry on the inside. Even with butter they tasted very dry. The salads were basic and dull. My older daughter got a meat plate. Everything was on the dropper over sauced side of things. I got some grains dish which was actually terrible. It was a confusing mess where nothing seemed to belong on the same plate. I got the pudding for dessert, which was okay. I didn’t enjoy the cake at the bottom, but the actual pudding tasted good. My daughters each got the sorbet Sunday and barely touched them because they were overly sweet. They looked incredibly unappetizing. The main reason we are here was for seats to watch Fantasmic. I’m not sure what exorbitant price we paid, but being able to sit down while we watched the show made it worth it.
Nice place to take a load off. I was really hungry and we chose to eat here. Mainly because who doesn’t like biscuits and gravy. Biscuits and Gravy: large portion. The pork belly and cracklings wee a nice touch. I wish it had more gravy and that the biscuits were at lest warm. Fried chicken sandwich: great flavor especially with the pickles onions. Wish my waiter would have checked in to refill coffee.
The atmosphere and ambiance are INCREDIBLE here. The food was just mediocre... not bad, not great. It's Disney, so everything's expensive, but the food was NOT worth the money. The ambiance made up for some of it. A great place to try once to experience it, probably wouldn't go back though unless the food was better or the prices came down.

There is NO bathroom in this restaurant. I had to take a family member out of the restaurant to the nearest restroom then return to cold food…. Absolutely unacceptable!!! The others who were in our party did order the sandwich which they enjoyed. The loaded fries didn’t have much meat and was mostly BBQ sauce. The pork chop was a pretty thick chop served with made potatoes and vegetables. The service staff was attentive when taking our orders; however, dirty dishes didn’t seem to be a priority. The cherry dessert was big enough to share and it was very tart overall. We will not be attending this restaurant again.
We were super excited about this experience and left there frustrated. Even though we made a reservation, we waited a long time and the restaurant was not full. Super basic menu for the price. They give you VIP access to the fireworks, which is terrible, because you spend hours sitting on the floor, in a crowded place. The good point was the waiter, super gentle. Never more, 0 Disney experience.
Extremely unhappy about my experience with this restaurant. They've been said to be one of the best. waiting lists months in advance. Just to get this BS. SUPER FRUSTRATING. might as well order a c…
We were sat in a phenomenal table we always get lucky with seating. Sadly wish I could say the same for the wht waitress that completely ignored us. And we are so cute too! lol we were just complet…
Just left lunch. We waited weeks to come because reservations are scarce. Even with reservations, waited over 20 minutes for our table. When the server came, he rushed us to order everything- dri…
We were very excited for our reservation that I booked 60 days in advance. Upon arrival to check in- the hostess was having a lot of guests walking up with no reservations. The hostess explained …
I was shocked how bad it was. You normally read reviews and think, it can't be that bad. The reviews are very honest and accurate. The burnt ends pasta was inedible. I literally took maybe three to five bites before I gave up trying to eat it. The chicken pot pie appetizer was decent. A friend had a salad for the appetizer and the croutons were soft. We ate the dessert because atleast I ate something of the meal that I paid $65 for. We booked this dinner as part of the fantasmic viewing package. Be aware that you will sit on the floor. I parked the stroller infront of the restaurant where we were allowed to park. When I went out to get our jacket, they had moved it and I was instructed to look for the dragon. See attached photo and tell me if you would have seen it. I do not recommend.
I dined here with the Fantasmic package. The server was very kind, but the food took way too long to come out. They kept telling us, “Your food is coming soon,” but all the other tables around us had already been served. We ended up being the very last ones to leave — we were there for over an hour. When I asked for water, the server kindly said they’d bring it right away, but then just went to take other tables’ orders. They completely forgot until I had to ask again. And the food? It was terrible. Even the French fries didn’t taste good. What I want to say is: The food was disappointing, The service was disappointing, And at some point I honestly wondered if I was being treated differently because I’m Asian. This experience made me not want to buy food at Disneyland ever again.
The food was not hot, it was room temperature which is kind of crazy considering the fact that they took a very long time to bring our food out so you think it’d be hot, the salad was the only thing that was mediocre the rest was just all bad. Service took long on drinks, food and dessert. Not worth it to eat here at all.
