The most important part of dining out for my wife and I is atmosphere followed closely by good quality food prepared well. I felt as if we were eating a home cooked meal only without all the personal effort. “vittles family restaurant” I personally feel it’s one of the better restaurants in Shasta county and would strongly recommend their country breakfast with sausage link 😎🇺🇸

Expect Wholesome Classic Country Food. . . The food was reasonably priced for the area. Service was prompt and kind. And above all the biscuits and gravy was delicious. The gravy was nice and thick/flavorful, and the bisquit was home made delicious without to much baking soda in it like some other places.All the other food that went out was sensory on presentation and smell. Anyway I don't think you'll end up wasting any money unless you eye gorge the food...lol
I loved this place. The food was great, the service was super and atmosphere wonderful. There was 4 of us and the meals came at once. This was good since no one had to start eating before the others. I remember coming here 50 years ago with my dad. Back then I think it was the coffee hut ( or cup). The service and atmosphere is much better now.

Stopped here for breakfast and the food was delicious. I ordered the veggie croissant and a side of biscuit. There was no wait and the service was great!
It had been a number of years since we last ate at Vittles. We decided we’d give it another go and were very happy that we did! The food has improved and the staff is really great. I phoned in our order and the gentleman who answered was sharp and attentive. My husband always likes his hamburger with extra this or none of that.. picky.. lol. I said my order and the young man on the phone had no trouble comprehending what I’d asked for. That is just as important as the quality of the food to me. I ordered the tostada salad with chicken and it was GREAT! It was very flavorful and there was plenty there to get full on. My husband had a hamburger and it was actually cooked correctly and was great tasting as well. I’m ordering again after I finish with this review! Ty.
Waitress was so nice, I think her name was Melba. Breakfast was good and my daughter had lunch at 9am which they serve all day. Would recommend.
An old fashioned diner full of traditional American food. Booths. Stacks of jam, ketchup and sugar packages on the tables. A throwback to the sixties. Excellent Sandwiches and service. The croissant sandwich was flaky and delicious and the fries fresh and crunchy.
Surprised by the consistency of quality you get here. It's a jewel in Anderson, I'll be making it a regular stop. Friendly and exceptional food at decent prices.
Customer service was outstanding, Emily was very attentive without being overbearing. She had a smile every time she came by, she made the experience that much better. Then there was Miley. You could tell she was busy, but she didn't hesitate to help and also had a smile. Service like that is rare. The food was great and served quickly. The sausage links were huge. Normally, when I go to a restaurant, they don't serve enough hash browns, so I always order an extra serving. Now I know I don't have to do that at Vittles, their portions are plenty without ordering extra. My wife loved the biscuits and gravy. Again, portions so big that she took half for lunch. If I could give them 10
Our waitress Melba was great! She is kind and friendly talking about how her and my coworker like brown gravy and French fries!! My salad was okay, although it did take a little long for our food to come out. Plenty of food options, clean, nice little place to have lunch. Thank you
What a nice dining experience. Sever was top-notch. Our meal was delicious and very affordable. My Continental Omelet was so good that I forgot to take a picture.
It was Thanksgiving day and we didn't want to cook a meal. So we went out searching for a place to eat. But every place I called was closed. Until finally this restaurant answered and said they were open. We were so excited and hungry. The restaurant was full of people, but we were seated in no time. Everyone was nice and we all loved our meals. Everything was fairly priced. Thank you Vittles Family Restaurant, for serving on Thanksgiving day!
I've been anxiously waiting to visit Vittles when I'm in town! The outside is So Inviting!!! Inside is decorated with country decor and yummy smells! The menu is Full of country restaurant items, serving breakfast, lunch & dinner! I had Country fried steak breakfast and my companion had the taco salad! Both were delicious! The batter on the country fried steak was So Good! It really caught my attention. The taco salad came in a huge crispy shell with all the fixins' inside, avocado and salsa on the side! It looked great! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Food was GREAT! My "country boy" husband gave it all a 👍 and that is high praise. The customers never stopped coming in and the servers were having to 'hop to it' to keep up. Even so, everyone was friendly and helpful. Had to ask for a few things here and there but no big deal. We are looking forward to returning.
Great portion sizes. I had an amazing burger and salad with actual blue cheese in the blue cheese dressing! Wonderful wait staff. Covered parking with EV charger available too.
Very middle american fare, a bit like Denny's homemade for basic food. Did not try their steaks or prime rib. Easy on and off Hwy 5
The food quality was not good nor was the execution of the food. It seemed like food from a Denny's etc. ~Frozen , powdered, 3d printed, not sure. But was unedible. I would have preferred non (Sysco) food. I didn't realize that what was being served. I would have been more satisfied fasting or eating @ a military mash mess tent during the Koren war.
The food is poor quality, I had stomach aches immediately after eating. The bathrooms are dirty, the staff lacks enthusiasm in serving customers. I do not recommend this place.
