We really enjoyed our food & overall experience at Aventura Saturday afternoon! We tried some different food items & everything was delicious! The presentation was lovely & great waitress too. Sat by the window - nice view.

Delicious paella, incredible tapas, a fun and cozy ambience! A lot of money for not so much food, but the quality is very high and the plates are unique. Came here with a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday and it was a blast and catered to a relaxing and long hangout- however, I have the service a slightly lower rating because from the time of asking for our check and getting out the door it was OVER 1 HOUR. Part of this was because of them trying to split the bill but after the first 1/2 hour we told them to just put it all on one and they proceeded to take another 30 mins to incorrectly split the bill. Otherwise, a flawless experience. Would definitely be willing to go back.

Came here for a birthday dinner. We LOVE the mushrooms, shrimp, and the patatas bravas. We’ll be back to try the paella. The drinks were also delicious. Possibly the best food in Ann Arbor.

This is a new restaurant in Ann Arbor. They have very yummy paella as well as great everything we got was fantastic. The paella had a lot of good flavor and crispy. The seafood could’ve been flavored a little more but the rice had such good texture flavor. I will definitely come back. We did not get dessert, but the churros looked amazing Excellent, friendly service We were in a hurry and they took care of us right away. If you’re visiting U of M this place is definitely worth it!

We sat at the bar for happy hour and loved exploring their full menu. By far our favorite was the grilled octopus. The croquetas and Spanish tortilla were also delightful. The place was busy but the service was speedy. Will definitely come back for one of their paellas!

We loved everything about this adorable place! We sat at the bar and enjoyed happy hour specials. The drinks were great, and the food to die for. The patatas bravas was my favorite, but we seriously loved every bite of the 5-6 items we ordered. We also LOVED our churros y chocolate and the dessert drink (licor 43 + espresso) was such a fab recommendation! Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing, and making honor to the name, it is a great adventure and experience to enjoy this place and the high quality food chef Raul C offers!! The quality, love and perfection in the craft of each dish shines through. Their Paella Valenciana 🥘 is very authentic made with ingredients from Spain and a staple to try when you come. Their sangria was delicious as well as the tapas we ordered like croquetas, jamón ibérico, patatas bravas…every single dish was exceptional! Our servers were very kind and knowledgeable. Make sure you have reservations in advance as is a popular restaurant.. and when you try it you’ll know why!

Aventura has very friendly staff and service, and everyone is very welcoming and attentive! Their tapas and drinks are also good. I highly recommend trying their sangrias. Summertime happy hour is lovely, and I highly recommend trying it out!

Incredible upscale tapas and bar in the heart of Ann Arbor! Just stopped in for happy hour and was extremely impressed at the high level of professionalism, service and skill. The bartender made even classic drinks elevated and the cocktails and wine list were a cut above. Try some of the bites including the dates — could eat a dozen! We will definitely be back!

Great experience! Highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates. The mackeral was a good starter, but certainly heavy on the salty flavor. The cucumber and tuna was a good followup, along with the mushrooms. If you like tapas or are looking to try them, this is one of the better places I have been.

Love this place. Great assortment of cocktails. I've had better octopus here than I have in Greece to be honest. If it's your first time here with at least one other person, opt for a paella and tapas while you wait! It's loud in the dining room on a busy night so I seek out weeknights.

We had an amazing experience at Aventura Ann Arbor! We arrived on a busy Saturday without a reservation, and Kevin went above and beyond to find us seats. The customer service was outstanding—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. And the food? Absolutely incredible! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. From start to finish, it was a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

One of the most amazing restaurants I've been to. I tried Spanish cuisine for the first time and I must say that their food was amazing. Great food, great ambience, and overall a wonderful experience. Could seem a bit pricey so save it for a special occasion. Would definitely recommend.

We sat at the back patio this time which was an absolutely lovely experience! The staff was extremely kind in helping with our dietary restrictions and everything we ended up eating was delicious. Tapas style means you get to try a bunch of fun things too! We also had the paella and had plenty leftover even though three of us were eating it. Definitely don't miss this spot if you're in Ann Arbor! (Pictures are patatas bravas, bacon wrapped dates, and chicken paella)

we had a lovely time at aventura! the tapas were delicious and it the food we ordered was the perfect amount of food for 4 adults. Our favorite was the potatos and the shrimp!

The tapas was provided in appropriately generous portions, and we particularly loved the gambas, which was fresh and delicious. The burrata was very creamy and complemented well by the tomato and pesto. In addition, we ordered the Paella Valenciana, which was cooked to perfection, with tender and juicy chicken, and the artichokes made it unique and exciting. Our waiter, Zen, was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, making our evening much more special. We will definitely come back again soon. Update: We came again the following day, as we liked our experience so much the first time. Cate, our server, was very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the delicious mocktails. We ordered the seafood paella (Paella Arros Negre), which was fresh, and they kindly made an alteration to include artichoke. However, on balance, we preferred the Paella Valenciana last time. The sliders (Hamburguesas) were very tasty, tender, and with fluffy soft bread.

Very cute Tapas restaurant with excellent service. We ordered 5 plates, as they recommended 4-6 for two people, but found the portion sizes to be very generous and brought leftovers home with. The sangria was great and I really loved the heirloom tomato salad - so refreshing!

Stopped in for dinner while In town on a road trip. We were seated quickly and the service was attentive. We were given a nice window seat. We ordered the Seafood Paella and Sangria. Everything was delicious! We would certainly return!

Aventura has been on our list for a while, I’m so glad we finally made a reservation! The food was absolutely delicious, and wonderful customer service. We sat at the bar, and everyone that we encountered was so friendly, they took great care of us. Our favorites were Milhojas Bravas (potato pave with garlic aioli), Datiles con Chorizo (bacon wrapped chorizo stuffed dates), and Setas a la Planxa (seared wild mushrooms). They brought “birthday churros” for my husband, they were also fantastic! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu items!

Recently had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the USA at Aventura in Ann Arbor! Amazing tapas, incredible paella, and a perfect wine from Tenerife. Highly recommend this spot for a true Spanish dining experience!

A fantastic place to eat. I had my first date here three years ago and the food is just as good now. It's perfect place to share some great food. The service was excellent as well. My personal favorite was either the gambas, patatas bravas or the chorizo. I would pass on the sea bass and the paella is a must order if you are in a larger group.

Great ambience. The food is delicious. Loved the experience. It was my first time eating tapas and the server was very helpful. Certainly on the expensive side.

We were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and man was it awesome, the food was absolutely spectacular everything from the small plates to the paella and the dessert absolutely perfect. But what made our day was our hostess Anya, she was the best thing about today, she was so friendly and explained everything to us with such patience and recommended such wonderful things. We could genuinely see how happy she was to know what we were celebrating. We are very touched and absolutely impressed with the service standard. Wishing all you guys and our beautiful Anya a very happy new year and all the best for everything in the future - Samira & Sanketh

Obsessed with this place. Great vibes, service, and such good food. Cannot say enough good things about the charcuterie board. We also got the classic paella and Brussels sprouts. If you're looking to sit outside on a nice night, their back patio is really cute. This is also a perfect place for large groups. They're very accommodating for large parties and you can get a ton of tapas for everyone to be able to try a variety of items. Looking forward to my next visit!

Loved the vibe here. Came for dessert, will be back for dinner! The Espresso is a must with the cheesecake. The plates and smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. Made it back for dinner tonight. Every dish hit the mark and the Paella was amazing, the duck was my favorite. Great atmosphere and service.

Our waitress, Yeirin, made our night! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and absolutely on point with everything. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked, offered great recommendations, and checked in at just the right moments without ever hovering. The service was seamless, friendly, and genuinely above and beyond. Everything was perfect and she elevated the entire experience! 10/10!!!

It was my first time at Aventura. It was a lovely experience with great food and friendly service. The staff was extremely helpful in providing recommendations in terms of portion size and tapas options. The food was excellent. I ordered the seafood paella, queso’s charcuterie board and the patatas bravas and all appetizers and main dishes were so flavorful. I will definitely be coming back!

Tapas are such a rarity in the Metro Detroit area, but a huge delight for my wife and I. We were excited to try Aventura, and our excitement only grew as we got our first bites of the food. The patatas bravas and tortilla were absolute perfection, and the sauce on the steak was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. My only regret is that I couldn't eat any more and had to stop with the three plates.

This restaurant is inspired by Spanish cuisine and it’s excellent. The dishes are creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented, offering a fresh take on Spanish flavors. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is attentive. Definitely worth visiting for a unique dining experience.

I have zero understanding as to why this isn’t the best rated restaurant in Ann Arbor. Other places offer ok food, but the head chef has thought out flavor and produces a melody of dishes. I have lived all over the world, traveled to many places and commute regularly to San Francisco. This restaurant truly beats many high level and fine dining restaurants there at a fraction of the price!!

T
Todd Hargrave

Tl;Dr: below is a minor complaint; the food and everything here is amazing and you must go. Service was somewhat overattentive for my tastes, with water pouring even if the glass was 3/4 full! I suppose this is a necessary aspect of this time of dining as the server needs to be know when you may want to order another tapa. A silent button system would make this a non-issue and make dining here more seemless.

My experience was okay. Food was okay. We had the shareable small plates. It's served one at a time time so we basically had to eat/share that one little plate of food and wait for the next one to be served. We decided to wait for all our other orders so that we could have a variety of food at one time, not one at a time. I get that it's their serving style.

Great variety of Spanish tapas with delicately placed spices. They have some authentic Spanish drinks as well! The price is the only complaint as some of the dishes seem rather expensive for the ingredients being used. I would still visit again! But maybe reserve for that special occasion. Great staff!

The place is cozy and great for special occasions. The waitress explained us about the menu when we told her it’s our first time trying Spanish cuisine. I loved the Aperitivos and Tapas. They have well balanced flavours. However I’m not a fan of paella, as I don’t like how the rice and meat tasted(cooked well). That’s because it tasted very different from the regular rice and meat we eat (I’m Indian) so take this part lightly. The seating is very close to one another and it felt uncomfortable and can improve a lot.

The food was very good. We ordered several of the tapas, I would have preferred several of them be delivered together. Each was delivered individually. Multiple servers waited on us bringing food and clearing plates. Sangria was very tasty, atmosphere was very good, music might have been a little loud to hold a conversation as I was sitting across the table.

M
Myra Manalo

Tapas were super delicious. I didn’t get a chance to picture them all. Paella was good but felt like it was missing something. 5 star service super friendly and helpful. Great place.

The good: the food presentation is on point. Everything looks great, you eat with your eyes first and this place delivers. The food came out on time, and the service was great. All of the tapas we had were really good. The not so good: I did have a little shell in my crab dish I know it happens sometimes, but for the price of this I expect closer to perfection. Our table had 3 paella, 2 of them were great, the third fell flat and was left largely untouched, which went overlooked, no offer to exchange or remove the $70 plate of rice. The bad: Price. Man, I've been to Spanish tapas places all over, and I'd never call them budget friendly bites, but our bill for 2 people was $340 after tax & tip. The other couples in our party were in the same ballpark. That's without bottles of wine. At half that price I'm a little bummed but I'd go back. I'm not sure I'll be back.

Really good paella!!! We think the tapas are a little bit too salty, but not too bad. Also very OVERPRICED compared to the portion size. they charged 15 or 16 dollar for three pieces of mushrooms. 😂😂😂

Our first trip to this restaurant. Loved the atmosphere and food! Very yummy and fun trying a bunch of different tapas. 2 small things. Waiter was not very attentive but all the other staff was great! It’s the type of place where your waiter does not bring the food, other staff does. Waiter was training so perhaps he was distracted. 2nd thing is that the plates were bigger than needed for tapas. Perhaps that is why we did not get fresh plates between selections. It was necessary as each tapas had its own sauce and fresh plates very often would have been better. Oops forgot 1 more thing. I made a reservation. The app the restaurant uses asked if it was a special occasion. I put in that it was our anniversary. No mention was ever made about it at the restaurant. So why ask?

M
Michelle Gallagher

The food was disappointing and felt rushed. The tapas dishes arrived too quickly and lacked finesse. The meatballs were dry, the croquettes were underwhelming in flavor, and the Iberico pork was heavily breaded—more like a schnitzel than a premium cut of meat. Given the high prices, we expected much more impressive flavors and presentation. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t dine here again.

A
Anshuman Swain

The food is hit or miss. We really liked some plates and the others were just ok. However, for the price point, I felt that the quality was not up to the mark. The service was great though! Kept checking on us if we needed anything. The room was a little too loud but it was the evening I guess.

M
Mia Henry-Fisher

Octopus was very chewy, artichoke was really nice, paella was just okay. Portions for everything were small. The idea is there but the flavors aren’t executed as well as the ingredients would have you think. Beautiful on the inside, good cocktails.

D
Drew Gazdecki

Do not order the paella, especially the seafood version. About a dollars worth of rice and five dollars worth of seafood. Basically it was burned and brought to the table. The tapas were good, but overall, the food was a disappointment. We had a really decent server.

J
Jessika Maatta

Service was great. The goxua dessert was good. Appetizers and paella were very underwhelming. The senorito paella had hardly any fish and the dish was covered in garlic mayonnaise probably to hide the fact the rice was dry. The rice tasted like tomato paste that hadn’t been cooked down enough (metallic tasting). For the price I expected a lot more.

S
Samantha Butts

Sadly, the paella tasted like rice-o-roni and the mushroom croquette tasted like frozen fish sticks. Not sure if it’s because college kids cooking in kitchen are novice or the ingredients are cheap, but it was a very disappointing outing food wise. Good atmosphere and service though.

K
Kristin Pedersen

We were really looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day here. It had been a few months since our last visit for the Señorito Paella, and unfortunately, we left disappointed. The new chef’s interpretation of the dish missed the mark completely. There was no monkfish, no mussels in the shell, and not a shrimp in sight. The rice wasn’t just crisped—it was burned—and the sauce had a metallic, canned taste that made the dish inedible. On the positive side, the waitstaff and manager were wonderful, and we did enjoy the bacon‑wrapped dates and the tapas we ordered afterward. Still, we left hungry and unhappy. We won’t be returning until there’s a new chef.

Was really excited to try this place but was disappointed from the terrible experience. Had many of the vegetarian tapas and the queso quemado was the best thing I had. We tried the brussel sprouts, queso y setas, and patatas bravas. The patatas bravas were nothing special, but I would not recommend the brussel sprouts or queso y setas. The brussel sprouts were unevenly cooked - either charred, mushy, or raw and crunchy. The mushrooms and the hummus in the queso y setas did not taste good. We could only take about a bite from each of these three meals and left most of it untouched. Service was not very hospitable either. Ended up paying $80 for a meal for 2 that we barely ate.

T
Tharnier Puel de Oliveira

Terrible food. We ordered the Señorito Paella, it came dark, burned on top, and missing toppings, tasting awful. Not compatible with the advertised pictures. What is this cream cheese on top anyway? It didn't taste as Paella at all. On top of that, very few ingredients, almost no prawns, and only calamaro tail. Worse money on food ever spent. The only good thing was the Sangria cocktail, expensive but good. Even though, I would not recommend this place.

B
Beatriz Campos

$60 to eat burnt rice. They should be ashamed to call this a paella. Drinks were good though
