Jose and Family - Brian & Jose Jr. and waiters and waitresses always serve up great Mexican food and in a friendly family friendly environment. I have known Jose for over 25 years. The food is delicious and served in good portions at a reasonable prices. They always have customers dining there even during off hours and offer a large menu of excellent tasty food prepared traditionally. My go to dish is the Avocado Omelet. and Chicken Fahitas. My son loves the Chicken Enchilada as well as their chips & salsa and much much more. 😋

Delicious Food! A little far but worth the drive! Clean and courteous atmosphere. Always satisfying meal no matter what we ordered! I recommend trying this restaurant! Be sure and get the $1 albondiga soup when ordering a combination plate! Yum 😋

I discovered this restaurant about 2 years ago and since then I’ve driven the 3-4 hour round trip from Ventura several times, sometimes with friends or meeting them there. Why do I do it? Because it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and it’s served by impeccable staff members. Please don’t judge the restaurant by the exterior of the building……the real joy happens inside! I WILL RETURN OFTEN!!

Service was excellent, I actually ordered a kids menu item, Mexican Pizza. It was the right amount of food for me. I even ordered dessert for myself, Flan. It was okay, not like OMG. I have changed my stars to 3, because I was not told that the kids meal did not include the drink as the menu indicated at the time of ordering. I would have just ordered a full plate and taken the leftover home. The drink was $3.25, their prices are a bit on the high side. Probably will not be going there again.

We were served chips that were small little pieces and they were all over done, almost burnt. I asked for new chips that weren't burnt and overdone, and we were brought different chips, but they were the same, overdone. I ordered the chicken taquitos combo for dinner, and they were also overdone, too crispy and the chicken was very dry and hard. When the bill came later, everything on the bill was higher than the prices on the menu, over $5.00 for beverages, and the items we ordered were high than the listed price. We were also charged extra for a little cup of ranch dressing for my granddaughter's french fries, and were told because the item didn't come with it, it was extra. I was also surprised when we were charged for the to go boxes. There is a lot that needs to be improved upon in this restaurant. Just because we were some of the last customers of the day doesn't mean our food has to be overdone and dry.
