Opinions de The Broken Bit Quartz Hill
Im from NC and was randomly staying in Palmdale for Valentines weekend. My husband and I tried to go for Valentines but it was too packed so we went on Sunday 2/15. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit nervous to go but the hostess, wait staff and bartenders were all very pleasant during our visit. We had the Quail as an appetizer. It was very good but the poblano cheese grits were great. I had the dry aged steak and my husband had the ribeye with the cajun rub seasoning on it. My steak was good, his was great. He also had a whiskey flight. Overall we were more than satisfied with our meal. It's been difficult to find food that is satisfying and worth the money spent, but the Broken Bit is definitely worth it. Wish there were other locations.
Great customer service! The entire staff was friendly. The lamb shank and caesar salad were the perfect pair for dinner. Nice atmosphere pretty lighting. Handicap accessible.
One of the best anniversary I ever had Kim was the best made us feel so welcome will all ways remember her. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was nice. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and our waitress personalized our experience. I recommend this steak house to all my friends.
Celebrated my sons birthday 🎁 first our waiter O was amazing he remembered my sons name entire meal and provided recommendations. Started with Ahi dish had ribeye 18 Ounce flavored and cooked to perfection baked, potato, wedge salad and everything was fantastic. At end, O brought him my crème brûlée because he took his Desert home. I highly recommend if you want a great steak . (This is Antelope Valley best option for steak ). In addition to being there noticed bar was hopping!! On. Thursday night. Great for if you have an anniversary or a birthday, it’s the spot. Again OK Thank you O you’re just amazing.
I got to say, I have been to many nice steakhouses, like the Strand House, and Blvd Steak, but this place is a hidden gem. The Ribeye was amazing perfectly cooked (medium) and the redfish was...wow...the presentation of the dish was classy but the texture and quality was so good! Don't forget the drinks, Margaritas were so warming. The host was so kind and caring, especially my waitress. My husband brought me for our anniversary and I got to say, definitely coming back.
My family and I had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Broken Bit Steakhouse! Our steaks were delicious and everything we ordered, from appetizers to drinks and deserts, was perfect. This will be one of our favorite local restaurants in the AV for holidays and special occasions. I also want to send a special THANK YOU to Roni and the kitchen staff for working hard to accommodate my food allergies and the dietary restrictions in our group.
I have been in the AV for over 20 years and have never been here. It is pricey and I've never felt the need to treat. But boy am I glad I finally did. First off our server was absolutely amazing in working with me about dietary needs. More than willing to talk me through it all. We even had the power go out on us and she offered us a few drink (beverage of course). The food was so amazing. The only thing I really a fan of was the chicken. It was very small and dry, flavor was good but for me not worth the price you pay. However the sides.... omgggg the sautéed veggies, Brussel sprouts and garlic mushroom were out of this world. My fiance got a 14oz ribeye which he said was a million percent worth the price. He also enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes. The atmosphere is very romantic and private. We will definitely be back.
Holy macaroni this place is bomb. Been open for a while now and ive heard good things but none of them were good enough. It was like eating glorious majesty on a stick. I had the filet skewers and my life was forever changed. Please go eat them just so I can be sure that other people are having their pallets blessed the same way mine were. This is what God intended for the afterlife of cows. Woooooohooooooo and yummy yummy with a sweet side of yeeeeeehaaaaawwwww. That's all I got
This place was magical! From the Happy Anniversary table sign to the service! The food omg was amazing!! Jaden was our server and he was so amazing he truly made our night! The ribeye was really good the flavor is phenomenal. The jalapeno poppers had a really good flavor. Kind of sweet but the cream cheese combo was perfect. I went home still thinking of the ahi tuna. Crème brûlée and chocolate mousse made my soul dance.
This is probably the best steakhouse in the AV. It's become our go-to spot for our anniversary and special occasions. The food is amazing and the drinks never miss. This past weekend, we had steaks with a side of lobster mac, grilled veggies, and a loaded baked potato. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the house mule and a couple of margaritas. The servers were extremely attentive and willing to help answer any questions we had about the menu. If you can spare the change, it's a great spot for dinner. Make sure you make your reservation.
I Googled "best places to eat in Palmdale," and this was one of the first places to pop up. Now I see why. The meal was phenomenal. The pork chop with poblano cheese grits was cooked to perfection. The meat was extremely flavorful and juicy. The apple crisp that our waiter recommended was a great way to end the night. If you ever find yourself in Palmdale, you have to go here.
The servers and hostess were friendly and accommodating. We should have had a reservation but they still seated us quickly After sitting down the restaurant filled up and the servers were busy. They are cheerful and I appreciate them letting us have a table. We had the salmon dinner, the kebab dinner and a stuffed baked potato. The salmon was perfectly seasoned. The asparagus and rice were very good to. The kebab came with garlic mashed potatoes that was made perfectly. The steak on the kebab was juicy and we had no complaints. Everything was very good. We forgot to take pictures of the food. It smelled so good we just dug in. A good food spot for sure.
Celebrated my 60th birthday there. Our first time going to the restaurant. Our steaks were soooooooo tender! The lobster was delicious! They gave me a homemade scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and a candle! Great experience and highly recommend! Thank you, Broken Bit Steakhouse, for a wonderful birthday dinner!🥰🥰
We came for dinner on my birthday a week ago. We made reservations online ahead of time. The host that greeted us was nice, and the ambiance felt pleasant. Our waitress Kim was very sweet and so informative with the entire menu and the ingredients. From food to the drinks, she gave us great suggestions and recommendations on the menu. She was very attentive. We had a great time and the service was wonderful. I ordered the aged Prime steak and my husband ordered the Ribeye steak. Both steaks were great. Everything we ordered was and tasted authentically fresh. I loved the seasonal vegetables, they were perfectly cooked, soft crunch. The mashed potatoes were great. Everything we ordered was shareable, generous portions. We also order the onion fries and really enjoyed them with their very own sauces. I also enjoyed the Jalapeño Martinis. Looking forward to coming back to try the Tomahawk steaks..
I had the 10 ounce filet mignon and my wife had the lamb. She really like hers, but mine was so-so. Mine was ordered as medium, but inside was unevenly cooked. The bourbon sauce was quite good, but wasn't enough to make the filet what I was hoping for. Cheesecake was well executed. The apple crisp was alright. Overall our impression was the good was good, but not as special as we were hoping for being at the higher price point.
We came here for the first time for our anniversary a few days ago. Restaurant has a nice feel. Service was great throughout and everyone was extremely friendly. We got a few drinks, which we enjoyed and weren't too pricey. Food was good overall, with the rib eye being a really well cooked and flavored steak. Pork chop with polenta was great, jalapeno Mac and garlic mushrooms were okay. Crab cakes were really good and the sauce was great.
The service was amazing. Our waitress Tammy was such an amazing person. The food was good and the atmosphere was as well. It was my father's birthday and they put a birthday sign on the table and brought him and dessert. We had a really nice time. Nice place, reservation probably a very good idea on Friday and Saturday.
I have mixed reviews about this place as I've been twice, so decided to give it a 3 and then elaborate on both instances. First Visit: I got the Ribeye, my date got the seasonal lamb over mashed potatoes. The lamb/potatoes was great! a 5/5. The place is obviously high end, so a bit pricy, but outside of that, that meal is very good! The Ribeye?? NO! I think it was around 65 dollars. It comes with no sides and was thin; looked pretty pathetic! How can a top end steakhouse have a thin ribeye? and expect it to have a great crust and still be medium rare in the middle? It was very disappointing and debated saying something to them. The service was also not good and waited too long to get water and/or our order. First Visit was a 2/5 at best. Second Visit: My date and I both got the lamb and it was very good. The service was better (a different person). I think the meal was better the first time, but was still very good and would still give at least a 4/5 for the meal and the visit overall. Side note- make the lamb meal yourself and save a lot of money! We've done that at home and while not as good as the restaurant, it still is pretty good and worth the savings.
Second time visiting. First visit was great! Food was prefect! The place has a great down to earth feeling - with classic country music being the norm. Drinks are awesome - they don't skimp on the alcohol. Today, however, was not so great. We didn't eat ALL day in anticipation of having a great and expensive steak dinner. The steak was OVER seasoned - too salty... although we did our best to enjoy it - it just want wasn't possible. Everything else was good. But the salty steaks killed date night. After notifying the manager/ owner - who was very nice - we were disappointed a replacement or comp was not offered. What we spent for 2 people - $300 - is more than we normally spend at Black Angus for the entire family of 5 (4 adults & 1 HS Sr.)!!! With drinks!!!! In the 30 plus years of going to Black Angus - we've never had a quality control issue. Sadly, we won't be going back... back to Black Angus - $69 dinner for 2 (2 main dishes, 4 sides, 1 shared dessert - all big in size)... with drinks, appetizers, and tips - we normally spend a good $125-$175 for two! And we take leftovers for the 3 college/HS kids!
Very nice place/menu/staff but I was genuinely disappointed with my steak. I ordered a medium rare tomahawk and it came out pretty much well done, there were a few pieces with a little pink but overall whoever cooked that steak very much failed to hit the mark. I wanted to be polite and not send it back because I was eating with a group and I don't like wasting food. Aside from my steak the appetizers and such were good, though, and our server was very pleasant/attentive.
We came here for our anniversary but were disappointed. In terms of food, the appetizers and drinks were wonderful. The quail was amazing. What we came for - the steak - missed the mark for us. It had a strange smell and taste that reminded us more of raw meat/animal than a steakhouse cut. It wasn't enjoyable. I think it needed more seasoning or maybe it wasn't handled properly. I noticed another table asking for salt and pepper, which stood out to me. I ended up mixing the steak with garlic mashed potatoes to give it some flavor. For the ambience...well, I'll be honest. We were racially and socially profiled. The hostess was rude and said very little to us, and the waiter, while kind, brought up cost of the food/drinks more than once. We reserved a table for our wedding anniversary, did not get the usual sign or good seating, and were sat next to a loud birthday table (they had a sign for what that detail is worth). I know there are not many options in the AV, but Santa Clarita is not too far away. For the price, it's worth going to a better restaurant.
This place really disappointed me. Went on Valentine’s Day, made a reservation about a month in advance since last year got booked so fast. Anyway, after about 20 min we finally get seated (our reservation was 7:30pm) way in the back in a small table in between three others. One couple sat before us and the other two were finishing up. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. Both took long to come. (Finally they came). It seemed like we were just being ignored and not well attended to like everyone else because we ordered our actual meals the same time as our appetizers and the new couples who came to sit after us had already gotten their appetizers. Then they even got their meals too way before us. It was so rude and disrespectful because the waitress didn’t even say anything to us, we had to ask! Finally it was around 9pm and still nothing and the couples that sat after us were already finishing their food. Such a disappointment. The only nice thing I could say is that when we got up to leave the waitress didn’t make us pay for our appetizers or drinks. I feel like if you want to run a restaurant and you know it’s a holiday like valentines you should limit the people you book cause that place was way over packed and booked that your staff couldn’t handle it. So disappointing. Shame on management!
