Since moving to the AV (3 years ago) this place has been our go to since it was introduced to us from a friend. The food is always delicious and on point and the staff is always friendly.

I've lived in the AV for 10+ yrs & Azteca is my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant! The food is always hot off the 'grill' & delicious. I immediately ask for a 'to go' box, as the portions for me are dinner & a nice sized lunch the next day. Pair your meal with a fresh mango Margherita made at the bar & you'll leave this cozy establishment full & happy.

Wonderful! We loved the carnitas burrito and shrimp burrito. We enjoyed sitting outdoors. The waiter saw how hungry we came and refilled our delicious chips and salsa. Will come again!

The ABSOLUTE hands down BEST Mexican Food joint in the Antelope Valley. Period the end. The service is stellar, great atmosphere in this cute little funky spot in “the Acres”. RUN! Get over there and enjoy!!!

Definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. My drinks were alwayd full, chips and salsa were constantly on the table, the portions are huge, even if it's just a side. Definitely a must try if you live in the AV.

Small out of the way place but, food is outstanding...salsa is the best and if you ask for the hot stuff better watch out as that's what you get WOW !..... Driving along 90th street west you may look and just pass this place up from looking at the outside but don't make a mistake !!!! it's the best Mexican restaurant in the Antelope valley. Our party of 4 arrived at 5pm and the word must be out as the place was packed by 6pm ( sat night ) and not an empty seat in the house thru the dinner hours. I had the Camarone Azteca ( bacon wrapped shrimp ) truly wonderful dish....menu was 4 pages and many many choices and all prices were reasonable. margaritas were awesome and tasty ( I had two and all I can say is yum yum ) worth the drive and really nice to get out of town for dinner. funny, but these people actually love working there..some places it seems like it's just a job for the waitresses ...they actually care that you're having a great time..... I will be back but maybe with reservations...word is getting out fast about this place.... enjoy !!!!!

Probably one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the Antelope Valley. My family has been coming here for years. My favorite is #22 Two soft tacos de carnitas with rice and beans. This place is hidden in Antelope Acres but worth the find.

Not only is the food magnificent, they also have the best service! The cook is simply amazing, I just go in and ask for him to put anything in front of me and I haven’t been disappointed yet! The waitress are super friendly! They serve the best Mole I have ever ate, even when I am full I want to keep eating! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Antelope Valley! Excellent service, excellent meal! I had the chili relleno and I just love it! The salsa was good, the chips good, the iced tea tasted fresh and not over steeped. Other friends that were with me thought their food was excellent, also! I am eager to find an excuse to go back!

Azteca is my favorite place to go for excellent Mexican food and mango margaritas! Every menu item I've tried has been excellent with portions large enough that I know I'll need a box for taking home what I can't finish. My favorite menu item is the Zarapes (1 shredded chicken, 1 verde). From the moment you walk in the door, the staff is friendly & attentive, but not overly so. You can enjoy your food & converse with your table mate without constantly being interrupted (a pet peeve of mine, having a mouthful of food & being asked how the food is). The Azteca is a great place to have a hearty meal in a cozy environment, that leaves you craving for many 8tems on their menu.

During the pandemic I made it a point to order take out once a week just to help keep this restaurant (my favorite of all) open. I have not lost my love of this restaurant and their employees since. To me, after a long life (85 years), it is still the best Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at.

Azteca is a small and cozy family restaurant. I haven't had a bad dinner here yet. The portions are good sized and I always take enough home for lunch the next day. The staff is always friendly and prompt.

I go to Azteca regularly. I love their food. It's a diamond in the rough. We have ordered several items and always the food is delicious. The desserts are also super yummy. The service sometimes is so amazing and then other times pretty good but that varies. I have only had bad service once. I've been there probably 25 times in the past year. Over all I love this place and I feel they have the best Mexican food in the Antelope Valley. Oh and the salsa is soooo good.

Staying in an airbnb near by for work and we wanted something close so we found this little gem. We certainly were not disappointed! As other reviews say, don’t let the outside fool you. This place was so cozy inside, has top notch salsa and freshly made chips, absolutely delicious meals in large portions & incredibly friendly staff. If you’re in the area, check it out! Dishes of note: Zarapes, pollo a la crema & any of the burritos!

Cozy place in the desert with wonderful staff and THE BEST Mexican food! It's a staple for the locals and I was happy to be able to join them. Chicken tamale was fantastic and the chile relleno was perfect, and we had a great time visiting with the staff and other patrons. I hope to go back while I'm here! The price per person was with several beers and a drink, all of which were tasty and ice cold!

Great food. Wait was not bad. Our table was given away when we were in the bathroom, but another one opened up soon after. Went here after the poppies, both in the middle of nowhere. It was a very lucky find. Would come back if out here again.

The pleasant surprise is on the inside. Excellent food, fast service. I've taken several people there who would otherwise overlook this small restaurant. Get the macho burrito - you will not be disappointed unless you try to find a burrito that tasty somewhere else.

Food isn’t what it used to be,very bland and tasteless. The chili Colorado was so salty it was inedible,not to mention the new servers are to busy talking.

Update April 2021 This is the “old” location, has more charm and character than the one they had opened in the strip mall. This one has a popular outdoor patio in back, and has started indoor dining again Typical ok Mexican food for lunch and dinner. Nothing stands out. It’s convenient if you’re in the area. Expensive. -——>>>>>> Update: was closed for a while, now reopened for breakfast? Not sure of menu, days, or hours. Went a few times and they were closed. Best to call first. Old review; I hear they are now open for dinner! Home made soup, and? Great place for breakfast and lunch! Had the pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash towns! Yummy! Coffee is good too! Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. A much needed AM breakfast restaurant in Antelope Acres!

Nothing great about this place. Just your average run of the mill mexican joint. Much better mexican in Rosamond/Lancaster/Palmdale. The worst part is that we asked for 2 bowls of salsa with the chips and was told "we only give one." To far to drive for averge mexican, bland food.

For the first time, we placed a take out order for 4 people at the Azteca Mexican Restaurant. The bill was $88.46. This is the most we've ever paid for carry out Mexican food in the Antelope Valley. Got the food home and one fourth of our order was missing! l called the restaurant and the customer service was terrible. Drove all the way back to the restaurant (8 + miles each way).and the employee had the food made up and waiting for us. However, the tamale that we had to drive back and pick up, was reheated to the point of being hard and rubbery! It was disgusting! Also, we had gotten a large side of salsa and chips and we asked specifically for mild salsa. The salsa was NOT mild. There was no apology for their mistakes and they did nothing to make up for this terrible inconvenience to us. One lady there, who appeared to be a manager or co-owner, was extremely agitated and approached us with a very rude demeanor. You would have thought it was all our fault.

We were the only customers so the service was quick but aside from that, very hospitable. The restaurant is well ventilated (not too cold like 99% places during the summer), but it is too dimly lit with orange and red light bulbs (worse than the Cheesecake Factory). And the food was very mediocre and bland or other things were extra salty… but nothing was flavorful. I have honestly eaten and cooked a lot of authentic Mexican food in my life and this was very flavorless to say the least. What’s more is that then the quality to cost ratio is then not well justified. I would just like to fairly represent my experience here.

I've eaten at this place quite a few times and there is a big difference between dining in and ordering food for pick up. The last four times I have gotten food to go the portions were small and the food was inedible. Rubbery enchilada, a chile rellanoe that was chewy and tough, and a beef taco that must have been sitting for hours. At almost $20 for a two item plate with rice and beans, this is a huge rip-off. You'd think they would want to keep locals coming back. I don't understand why the food is pretty good when dining in but it's almost like they serve up food that should be thrown away for To-Go orders. I'm done taking my chances with this place.

We have been eating here for years, but noticed lately they charge more than the menu price. We asked about that, and the reason was their register charges more. Well get a new register! Now their charging for to go containers and over $5.09 for sodas. Very disappointed in them. I guess we'll be going to Rosamond for our Mexican food.

This place is going down hill as is most restaurants in the antelope valley, they have always been more at the top of the game for Mexican food. They are now charging 4% extra for you to use your debit card this is illegal. I do understand prices go up, but build this into your menu prices. The average debit card charge to business is less then one percent. Message to patrons lower your tip amount by 5% and send message. PS they do have the best Albondigas soup in town!

Way over priced. EXTREMELY bland, massively large portions of food. Margaritas are horrible and well tequila drink is over 20 dollars. Service was horrible and waitress was rude and short when addressing I have food allergies. Also, we were ignored and waited over an hour for our food since she was busy waiting on every table and getting the food out to them first even though they came in the door much later after us. Don't waste your money. Not authentic and very horrible place.

Now this places needs to get it together they have more flies flying around than one of these farms around here. Few waitresses that work work here act like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If your a server that can't show respect go work somewhere else.

There is nothing outstanding with the food here, in fact it taste low quality. The menu looks repetitive throughout and outdated. The worst part was when they gave me a different drink than the one I asked for "hoping" I wouldn't notice. Who does that? You list the ingredients directly on the menu and you bring me something totally different? Yikes. There are definitely better Mexican restaurants out there. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back here.

I always get the same thing when I go, let's start there. I get the shrimp cocktail. The first time it was good. So I went back. Second time I got my food when my friends were done with their food. The third time, the service was so slow. They took our orders maybe 40 mins later, the shrimp cocktail was disgusting, some shrimp were the regular size and the rest were so tiny and hard, the liquid was tasteless, it tasted like they just added fouset water, I had to add salt, lemon, pepper and etc. And still was tasteless. I will never go back. I was disgusted. I went home and took peptobismo.

If the salsa are bed, you can bet they are doing a Nick Saban AFLAC AD, "NO FUN HERE"!! WENT AGAIN AND THE EMPLOYEES THAT WERE THERE FOREVER, PICKED UP THEIR TENTS AND MOVED! WELL, IT MEANT MORE PARKING AND BUSINESS FOR THE OTHER NICE RESTAURANTS ON THE SAME STREET. BUT NO MEXICAN! I NEVER GIVE BAD REVIEWS, BUT SINCE THERE ARENT ANY GOOD ONES, WHY NOT TELL THE TRUTH!
