Naomi is amazing!.!.! This is my favorite steak house. I try and visit as much as i can. As for always the go to starter is bee braised egg rolls always a winner This time we , went i got the bacon burger with bacon jam, was absolutely amazing and flavorful. I got the shoe string fries with horseradish. My opinion too much mayo. My partner got the pork chop with Brussel sprouts and fries. Food is always great service is amazing shout out again to Naomi cant wait to see yall soon. Keep up the amazing service and food.

My husband and I came to The Backroom to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! This spot holds a special place in our hearts since we also celebrated our first anniversary here — and once again, they exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel special. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, perfect for an intimate evening. The food was absolutely phenomenal — from the perfectly cooked steak topped with crab and asparagus to the creamy truffle mac & cheese and flavorful Brussels sprouts. Every bite was spot on. The cocktails were just as impressive — beautifully crafted and delicious! What made the night even more memorable was meeting another couple also celebrating their fourth anniversary — such a fun coincidence that added to the experience! It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers consistently amazing food, drinks, and service, but The Backroom does just that. Thank you for another wonderful anniversary — we’ll definitely be back for many more celebrations to come!

The Back Room Steakhouse is a hidden gem in Apopka, FL. It's outside is very unassuming. The service was great. Our server, Emma, was AMAZING! She patient and kind, and offered service with a smile. She checked to make sure everything was ok several times throughout our meal. She refilled water glasses without having to be asked. Her attentiveness was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. You know it's good when there's no need to add steak sauce. Kudos to the chef! I would be remiss if I didn't share about drinks. Another homerun! The peach sangria was so good and refreshing. The espresso martini tasty as well. Even the water was good! I think it's fileted. I will most definitely be a repeat customer and I will most definitely recommend and tell my friends about my new favorite steak restaurant.

Birthday dinner for my husband, just us two. Escargot & fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Both were delicious. Pomegranate sangria was fantastic, and very large. I had sirloin and lobster tail with risotto. Sirloin was cooked fine, just a little chewy. Lobster tail was good- not great. Risotto was FABULOUS! Husband had ribeye, creamed spinach and potato. Again, cooked fine, and he enjoyed it. Creamed spinach was very liquidy and had little flavor. Overall, service was good. Server was nice, so I'll leave that there. I had to ask her about specials as I had overheard another service tell the table next to us. She fumbled and said not sure we still have, then found it and was less than enthusiastic telling us. Manager stopped by our table a number of times, he was attentive and present. We had no real complaints, it was good - not great. We took dessert home, key lime pie & carrot cake, both were delicious. A+ for the server who provided a candle in addition to our desserts. Bill was appropriate for what we ordered, not overpriced in today's market. My husband enjoyed it.

My husband and I went there for the first time for our anniversary dinner. We got there a bit early and the host sat us down right away. Our server Misty was so nice and very polite. We ordered the Artichoke dip which was super delicious. My husband and I shared the lamb, scallops, mashed potatoes and button mushrooms. It was a big portion (at least for us). Everything was simply amazing. The lamb was so tender, almost like butter! Scallops were cooked to perfection and the sides were seasoned very well. I believe the owner was the one that also kept checking in on is and gave us not one but two desserts on the house for our anniversary. Super thoughtful! We will definitely be coming back and here and bringing our family and friends. Thanks for an enjoyable night.

Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience. Our appetizer of Sautéed Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were from heaven. Caramelized Diver Scallops, skillet seared w/ an array of delicious veggies was perfection. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his 16 oz Sirlion with Sautéed Button Mushrooms. It was tender, with good flavor, and cooked to his request.

This was my favorite restaurant ever. They should be in Las Vegas. We were in town for a kayak and decided to have a steak. Very personal experience and amazing food. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We travel and dine out a lot. This was amazing!

I finally found a restaurant with an authentic ceasar salad with the anchovies. My Ribeye was so succulent I could cut it with a butter knife. Loved the ambiance. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had the most incredible experience at the Back Room on August 31! The food was incredible but the service was even better! We came for the Magical Dining Month special, but we upgraded to the ribeye with pepper sauce and ordered an extra appetizer, the tuna. I love the free bread and oil that they serve! And the tuna was incredible, like the best sashimi I've ever had! Also, we had the short rib rolls and those were stupendous with the sweet Ginger beer sauce cutting through the fatty meat. The artichoke dip appetizer was not my favorite: I found it a bit bland. The salad should also be served in cold plates but the cracker and the blue cheese dressing took it over the top. Our steaks were perfect and the (fully-loaded) potato was a great choice, although it could use more cheese and bacon 😉. And the earfquake dessert was even better than it looks! I want to wish my waiter Caleb a bon voyage on his European adventure. I also want to give my busser Ava a huge shout-out for always being on top of getting me boxes and refills before I even knew I needed them! Ava you are a rockstar and have a great future in food service!

Nothing but perfection from beginning to end! We were a party of eight that came in at 9pm. Caleb did an amazing job at taking care of each of us. The chef must have put his foot into every dish as not one disappointed! It is rare to find every morsel of each dish so delightfully delectable. How lucky this town is to have the Back Room and unfortunately I don't live here in Apopka, However, every time my family visits, it is definitely one of our favored dining destinations. You MUST visit! Ed Conlan please don't change a thing!

We went to dinner tonight because my husband has been dying to come here. (We discovered this place originally because it had a magical dining menu but never made it). Our steaks, filet and ribeye, were ordered med rare and cooked to perfection. My filet was especially good because it was chargrilled and a bit crispy on outside and med rare on the inside. I paired my steak with blackened shrimp and my husband chose to pair with lobster tail. The lobster was also cooked perfect as he added a cajun seasoning to the butter and not rubbery. Our server Jamie suggested a special dessert with lemon cake with blueberry cheesecake center and it was delightful. (We also took one home for our kids to share) . For apps we chose the calamari it was average and not my favorite but wasn't bad. And we shared the apopka chop salad and it was a great starter. A manager came to the table and asked how everything was. The cooks are professionals there and know exactly how to cook a good meal. Jamie payed very good attn to detail for us and made our first experience just what we hoped for! Will be back.

Parking was plentiful, well‑lit, and felt very safe. The entrance is tastefully decorated and inviting, and we were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. The ambiance is warm, relaxing, and strikes the ideal balance between fine dining and feeling right at home. Our server, Olivia, was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond to make sure our evening was enjoyable and memorable. Her service truly elevated our experience. We were also visited by the owner, Mr. Conlan. I had the chance to thank him personally for the thoughtful gift card he sent to my school in recognition of my achievement. It’s rare to see a business owner take the time to support and celebrate members of the community in such a genuine and generous way. This is what true community looks like. For dinner, I ordered the blackened steak tips with gorgonzola, and my husband had the sautéed Australian lamb chops. Both dishes were cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and generously portioned. We finished with a delicious chocolate cake topped with maple icing — the perfect ending to a wonderful night. I've been to Backroom Steakhouse between a half dozen and a dozen times. It is absolutely on of the hidden gem restaurants in Florida. The experience last night was absolutely perfect. Every detail was perfect. the Artichoke Dip was crazy good. Do yourself a favor and get that app! The steak was perfect. The service and atmosphere was a 10/10.

Highly recommend going here for a nice, relaxed dinner! The broccoli cheddar soup, Tomahawk steak, and brussel sprouts that my husband and I shared were amazing! Cierra, our server, was awesome and took care of us like family. We will definitely ask for her the next time we make reservations!

Today we celebrated my daughter's birthday! I have passed this restaurant for years and haven't stopped by until today. The service was excellent and our waitress Jennifer was there bomb! She explained the highlight of Magical Dining and drink specials. There was a gentlemen who ensured the table was cleared and tentative to the toddler who ate first and waited patiently for dessert. We ordered the egg rolls and artichoke dip. The egg rolls were meaty and the au jus was a pleasant addition for dipping. The dip was flavorful and I was definitely looking for the spinach, it was served with lightly toasted pita chips. For the entree's we chose the 12 oz NY strip cooked Medium and Med Well. Nice cut for what it was. Not your usual grilled steak but a nice butter finish to the oven sear flavors we picked up. Side options can be upgraded, so ask your server. We opted for Cesar salad for one side. Pomegranate Sangria was nice chase to the steak I had. Oh yeah they do offer fresh baked bread however you have to ask for it. It's served with garlic olive oil for dipping. Note: Gratuity of 20% is added to all magical Dining checks

I noticed The Back Room Steakhouse while grabbing something nearby and remembered it had great reviews on Google, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I ordered a simple to-go soup and salad, thinking it’d be a safe, comforting option. What caught me off guard, though, was the presentation. The soup came in a basic plastic cup, and the salad was packaged without any utensils, napkins, or even a bag. For a place with such a strong reputation and high-end branding, this felt off, especially for someone relying on takeout during a tough moment. Maybe the dine-in experience is where The Back Room truly shines, and I get that takeout isn't always the priority for steakhouses—but first impressions matter, and small touches (like proper packaging or basic utensils) go a long way. I might give it another shot down the line for a sit-down meal, but for now, I’d say the to-go experience didn’t live up to the restaurant’s reputation.

Amazing steaks. Seriously. The kitchen did its job flawlessly. Too bad our waitress (african american girl) treated serving us like a personal insult. She disappeared for 30 minutes, appearing only to take the order and later collect the money—efficient at the wrong parts of the job. The icing on the cake was her pathetic excuses for being called out for not doing her job. No excuses when your working and serving customers at a high end steak house!!! For a $100+ per person steakhouse, this level of effort is impressive in the same way watching paint dry is impressive. I’ve been coming here for years and know this isn’t the standard, which makes it even worse. One lazy server managed to undo everything the chef got right. She needs to go! Fix it. Fire her or lose a customer of many years! She doesn't fit your business model or any business model for that matter!

Amazing steaks. Seriously. The kitchen did its job flawlessly. Too bad our waitress (african american girl) treated serving us like a personal insult. She disappeared for 30 minutes, appearing only to take the order and later collect the money—efficient at the wrong parts of the job. Absolutely terrible experience. I don’t know how this won best steakhouse of 2025. First family style dining. I expect this of Applebees not a $100/person steakhouse. The short rib appetizer I heard so much about was out of stock. The Xmas bourbon eggnog drink was very mediocre. The manager asked what I thought and I said I make them better. His reply was you must use home made eggnog. For a $16 drink I expect better than store bought nog with cheap bourbon. No bread or dinner rolls served. The New York strip was cold. The peppercorn add on toppings was bland and had no flavor. My son’s steak also cold. Bacon Brussel sprouts again used cheap store bought bacon bits, not even real bacon. My second drink, the gingerbread martini had no gingerbread! They ran out and served it anyway! $289 for 3 people and literally everything was terrible. We joked on the way there of going to Alehouse instead. We should have
