Rubéns has been me and my wife favorite lunch spot we go almost 3xs a week whether its 11am or 4pm there food and services are always great I will recommend there alcohol selection is good as well I always grab a flight shots

If you’re looking for good Authentic tasting Mexican food this is the place! My husband and I tried many places they are good don’t get me wrong but this one is amazing ! From the service, to the small details and how fresh you can taste it. This is our new family dinner spot for a bit now and never disappoints! Service is just as amazing!

I have been coming to Rubens for 3 years now ( I know I'm barley leaving a review lol) and they have always been on point with food, service,drinks and the atmosphere. Doesn't matter what time you come it's always a good experience. I would highly recommend this place. Esmeralda is one of the best waiter there, always ensuring that we are taken care of! Fish tacos are the best I've had north of the Cajon Pass. One filled me up but I couldnt stop there they were so good! I'll be back to taste tests their Cadillac Margaritas next week... That's the true test of a Mexican restaurant hahahaha

Good food, the pricing was a bit on the higher side for a Red-Beer ($21)??? 12oz Pacifico bottle, nothing fancy, some clamato, some spices??? $21??? Another patron on our table ordered 2 bottled coronas with his meal, he was charged $21? Apparently, he was made to pay for a 3rd bottle, that was not asked for...? His bill $55 My bill, $65.. to go along with 5 other guests at our table.. Pricey when it was all said and done. Beans and rice were good. Chips and salsa were ok. Water, not so good.. We would stop again, but be very cautious on what's ordered and how quickly your dinner can climb out of hand... Good service, she needed to brush up on soanish, very badly.. of the 7 guests, only 1, me spoke English and I ended up being the translator, no discount in my meal... 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️

Went here with friends on a referral that the food was really good. I ordered a combination plate with chile relleno and cheese enchilada. Came with a salad but the size was different than my friends who also ordered a combo. When we asked the waitress, she said it was supposed to be the smaller one? My plate was good but pretty pricey for the amount of food. Guacamole was labeled as "market price", $9.99. Ordered a chile colorado burrito for my husband at $15 which he said was too pricey for the taste. Friends ordered the tacos, taquitos, fajitas and shrimp enchiladas, which were decent. Service was great which was a plus! The waitresses catered to my friends 3 year old daughter, which was nice. Restaurant had a family friend environment. Worth a try, but not sure we'll go back. Jury is still out.

When I asked why such an increase, the waiter told me "they are so much bigger than before". As they came out onto the counter in my order to go. They are not, same size as previous, I immediately asked another female employee behind the counter the same question. She hadn't heard my last answer from him. She told me they were using "higher quality meats now. Much, much better meats". It's not, it's still the same, that's not a bad thing: I have been a regular since before this place changed into the name it had *before* it was Ruben's. A patron since 2004. The food has been consistently good since then, and still is. But paying an extra $10 for 2 orders of to-go nachos, to be lied to by employees. No thanks.

I always enjoy the food at Rubens, however the service has become less then desirable. In an almost empty restaurant upon arrival we were told to pick a seat, and almost immediately had our drink orders taken and we received them rather quickly. Our waitress said she would be return to take our order after placing the menus down. So we waited and we waited. Another couple sat down behind us, had their drink orders taken, received their drinks. And we were still waiting. Waitress came back took their order, ran to the the bar area to place the order, while we waited. She then attended to another table, while we again waited. Finally after waving her down while attending to the other table she Finally came to take our order. Ruben's your food is delicious, but please train your staff. This is not the first time we have had this issue with long waits or being overlooked and by the other comments others have had same experiences. Today is Thursday November 14th, 2024. At 4:30pm.

We came for lunch a bit after noon on a Friday. The few booths were full but it was not that busy. Perhaps 5 tables of customers. It took several minutes to get water after we were seated. It was 10 minutes or so before our order was taken. Overall, it was over an hour to get two plates of food...just a green burrito and a combination plate. The food was good but not worth the wait.
