Food was really good, ordered some Tijuana combo (something like that) and everything was delicious, also asked for a Michelada flight (pictured) which has 3 types of flavored micheladas, tamarindo, cucumber and mango. Highly recommended 👌🏻

I've always loved it here. It's also one of those places that's just always busy no matter what time of day you go. The food is good. The atmosphere is good, the drinks are good....... Today we waited a little extra for drinks, and then for food, and then for the check but it was EXTREMELY busy. The service was great on spite of that. Our server Gilbert was still on top of it. He offered us free shots or a free table side of guac for the wait which was great. We never once had to ask for refills. He kept his eyes on our table the entire time we were there and always knew what we needed. The food was great as always. Thanks guys! ⭐💯

First time visiting this location and must say I had a great time hanging out in the bar area. It had just the right amount of TV's giving you a perfect view from anywhere within the bar area. Waitress was great and food was truly amazing. I had the shrimp ceviche and oysters topped with fish ceviche. The oysters topped with fish ceviche were very tasty and delicious. I highly recommend these if your an oyster eater. The shrimp tostada was also amazing. The taste was just right, and serving portion was just right. This is one place I will definitely be returning to. Great job El Pescador!!! 👍👍👍........

Great atmosphere, waitress was fast and she had great customer service. I was impressed when she informed us she was going on break and the other waitress working in the area covered for her. Any other place we would of been left hanging until she came off break. Will be returning and referring. Also hat off to the chef food was great and it came out fast.🔥

this place is bumping at night! definitely latino centric. pricing is reasonable and staff is friendly. the manager walks around serving with his staff which is cool and keeps service moving quickly. update 04/10: amazing 4 mares soup and extremely reasonable pricing especially during happy hour. the dj spins a good mix of music as well. nice find in west covina. both times the waitresses have been absolutely amazing. tip em well! 04/27: place still killing it. 5 stars. 05/04: super packed ordered 4 mares with two shrimp taco combo. tacos came out cold and without asking the food server clearly stated tacos were cold and would bring fresh hot tacos because they were sitting too long. within 5-10 minutes i had piping hot tacos without having to ask or say a thing. i was so caught off guard i didn't even have a chance to say thank you to her. here is my thank you. effin awesome.

OMG!! Asked for two tacos Al Pastor and they were absolutely phenomenal!!! The service was excellent and fast. All of the waitstaff I encountered were very friendly and the place was very vibrant and very busy even for a Thursday night. Had a couple cocktails and of course they warned us up with some chips and salsa. The chips tasted like they were homemade and they were very delicious. This is a place I would definitely like to come back to someday and highly recommend it for anyone.

Went here because traffic was so bad that we decided to stop. This place is great! I ordered mole enchiladas with a strawberry mojito. I normally would write that the food came in a timely manner, but that would be an understatement. Both the food and my drink arrived in less than a minute (literally) it was so fast! The chips and salsa were on point. The service was excellent, and the waiter had amazing customer service! Here are a few pics. Enjoy!

The building decor is modern and culturally inviting. Parking is ample and easy to find. The staff is friendly for the most part. The main dining room is busy large and comfortable. The bar area is fantastic. Great ambiance, great music, and tvs for all sports fans, sit as you arrive. Menu In all locations are the same. Menu is extensive, and plates are medium to large size. Many can easily feed 2 people. Drinks are plentiful and varied. 1. Great place for a date, family time, and a get-together with friends. 2. Prices are great and won't break the bank 3. The dress code is casual to nice. The only problem I had was the photo taker that came along ... We requested not to take photos, but she was insistent. I had to be firm. The good is good but the service is phenomenal. We came in with a large party and our server was patient and attentive. We had also brought a cake, and the restaurant kindly provided plated and forks with no extra charge. Everyone who works here has great customer service, and is extremely patient with customers. I visit this place any time I come to visit my family in LA. It’s practically a tradition at this point. It never disappoints! Food is always amazing and the environment is always perfect 🫶🏻. If you are looking for less of a family vibe go to the bar area and eat there. We were very pleasantly surprised at what a cool place this is. Been here a couple of times and it's good every time. We sat at tye barr area which has a DJ on Friday nights from what I can tell with Several big screen TVs in it, the drinks are pretty good "I recommend the strawberry Mojitos " and I also got there Taquito plate which came with albondigas soup for $12.99 which I enjoyed. Service is pretty good. Just know you need to get there early on Friday nights other wise it's going to be an hour waiting time got there at 4 and got seated right away but anything after 5 is a longer waiting time

El Pescador Restaurant in West Covina is the bomb for happy hour lunch Monday - Friday.   I came here with my husband to enjoy a delicious margarita and a good lunch in the bar area.  They have an excellent variety of lunch and drink specials.   I love the grilled pollo Norteno plate, and my husband the salmon plate.  I love finishing up my meal with a flan dessert. 😋  The service is friendly, and the food and drinks are really good.  Prices are excelente!  It’s a fun place to meet up with friend to watch a sports game. 🥳 They have Happy Hour from 10 am - 3 pm and 3 -7 pm Monday-Friday only in the bar area.

Awesome place to hang out and get some great food. I recently went plant 🪴 base eating, so I wanted a quesadilla with nothing but Veggies and no cheese 🙃 Without hesitation, our waitress said no problem 😊 So at this place, they truly made me feel like,customer satisfaction is number 1.

The chila-skillets are really delicious. I like the rojas more than the poblano. We went to happy hour on Monday at 10am, its okay because we are moms and deserve a break! Lol On that note, I highly recommend the candy shot!! It was superb 👏 👌 we tried the Sangrias but they didn't speak to us the way the candy shot did. I also LOVE that their menu actually shows pictures of all their food. More restaurants need to do this! I will definitely go back when I'm in the area again. The service was okay, our waitress took too long to check on us and bring us the check. She was still nice though. They have big booths, perfect for families with kids.

Service was exceptional. Always appreciate when you're greeted with a warm smile and positive attitude. We were seated right away and our servers did a great job, especially Samantha. The seafood was fresh, the guacamole was exceptional, and the drinks were delicious. If you drink alcohol, make sure to try De La Rosa. They prepare it super well (Mazapan based). I ordered Mar y Mar, which was white fish, shrimp, and a couple of sides. I believe the server said the white fish was sea bass. You have your choice of how the shrimp comes out, so I asked for estilo Costa Azul (bacon wrapped). Delicious! I was not expecting to have the potato salad steal the show, but it did. Sooooo good! I highly recommend this place. They also had a very large group in the restaurant, so it seems to be a great place for that too.

Exceptional food for a great price. The few times that me and my wife have been, we have not been able to finish what we have ordered. Compared to a lot of other spots out there with the exception of the drinks the food is reasonably priced for what you will get without skimping on the quality. The drinks are about what you expect to pay at other establishments but again these drinks are definitely a cut above the rest. The service is great and pretty quick. We don’t live anywhere close to the area, we’re from the IE and when we find ourselves in the area we stop in to treat ourselves to a great meal with a great atmosphere. Everyone has been friendly and punctual. Make the trip, you won’t be disappointed. 🤙🏾

Love eating here. I've been to two others El Pescador restaurant and mine if them come close to being this good. The food is always great, service and atmosphere are awesome. The food comes too. There is also a bar (club like) with great music going on. Never hung out in there, but the door is usually open and your can hear the music and the people having a good time.

Found this spot recently via some friends. The service was fast and the wait staff was friendly. Great atmosphere to hang out with friends or just cozy up with that someone special. The consome presidential was a seafood soup that was fresh and seasoned to perfection. The mar y mar was grilled fish with four shrimps prepared your way and it came with steamed vegetables, rice, and potatoes salad. The rice was seasoned like it was cooked in a flavored stock. The vegetables was steamed perfectly. Still had their vibrant color and wasn't overcooked. The fish was moist and flavorful. Would definitely come here again.

I’m giving four star because this time the service was not on point. Things were missing or ordered wrong and had to get redone, food and drinks were brought randomly and not all at once. So some people got a head start by 15 mins while other people were still waiting for food. I understand it’s busy in the kitchen but the servers need to keep a momentum going and try to stay on there toes to work at their pace too. It seemed like the second server was not as sharp and kept forgetting about our table. The first server was quick even though they were super packed. Overall this place is always a great time.

Enjoy celebrating our Mother's Day at this location. A little too busy due to holiday. The wait took about 15 minutes to get a server yet alone to bring the food was all about 45 minutes. Food plater was okay the drinks were better, still a good place to meet with friends and family.

The food was amazing and a true authentic taste. The ambience is also great; however, the music was extremely loud it’s only 4 in the afternoon. Difficult to have a conversation. To note, there is a fork shortage so you’ll have to eat with plastic forks. Lastly, they have plastic trash bags up for curtains

Buen provecho! The Server brought our delicious Mexican food order and shouted the greeting. We were so delight with the fantastic ambiance and all the colorful neon lights greeted us at the entrance. We haven’t been here before and we were impressed by the menu and the service. Just looking at the menu, we already knew this restaurant provides authentic Mexican food. Since the restaurant was named after fish, I thought I would do well with fish taco while my wife went for their beef fajitas. The fish in the taco was so flavorful and the meat was so fresh and tender. The fish taco even came with a quarter of guacamole on each taco. The fajita was delicious also as the seasoning for the beef was amazing. A good thing was that the huge plate of beef fajita was only for $20. With inflation, can’t get that big of a beef plate for this price anywhere. One thing you have to be careful of is that the tortilla chips were so good that you kept eating them and get so full and you couldn’t eat your main meal.

First time trying the Covina location, was crowded, and service lacked a bit due to its busy night I suppose, I ordered the reina tostada, which was a mix of ceviche, crab, shrimp, octopus, very tasty, refreshing and light. Rest of the table ordered carne asada and shrimp combo plate, this shrimp came wrapped in bacon, a fajita combo plate was ordered , came with grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp and mixed veggies this came out sizzling hot! Then lastly my comadre ordered the mojarra frita and came topped with lemon marinated onions and habanero. All our food was good, waiter was very busy so it was hard to get his attention, and prices are typical for plates with any seafood. About 20+ person.

It's piddly nickel and dime stuff like that that singularly brings down a business. If the service was better, this would be a full 5⭐, but the attitude from the waitress was insane. The issue had zero to do with me and my party, but it but it was customer service at its worst. I got one water refill in an hour and 15 minutes as well so my experience wasn't much better. Food was phenomenal. Go to the Downey location for a MUCH better experience and the same quality!!

I was there on sunday for my son's birthday and when I was in the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken and I fell and hit my head. Told the manager about it.And all he said, was he'll check in on the bathroom didn't ask me how I was didn't ask if I was okay, didn't apologize for the incident.And was not offered anything.Not a gift card, nothing very disappointed.You would think I would have gotten an apology at least.

We always have to wait for a table at least 40min. and it's only 2 of us, no biggie, but last time we were told our table was ready and when the hostess took us to our table a group had already taken it. We had to wait for the group to get seated somewhere else. Then, a large group sat next to us and the server notice we were very crowded so she offered to move us to a different table. I was happy to move because I was feeling uncomfortable. Well, it took for ever to get our drinks. Then nobody asked if we wanted to order food. After about 30 min someone took our order. Then the hostess came up to us saying we had to move because that table belong to someone else and that we had to wait for a table to be available. WHAT?! So I explained what happened and fortunately they didn't move us. 20 min later we got our food. It was delicious. Pulpo tatemado is now my favorite. I think they were understaffed and maybe they had new people working. I don't know what was going on that night but everyone looked stress and in a bad mood. We were not approached with friendly customer service every time. I guess everyone was overwhelmed. We ended up spending around 3 hrs. there just to get something to eat and order a couple of drinks. My review is for the lack of customer service. Food and drinks are great here but they need to be more organized because it gets very busy here and the workers just can't handle it. It was chaos that night.

We came for a family birthday dinner. The food is very good and everybody was friendly. I think some of the issues we had were due to the server being spread thin, which wasn't his fault. There were numerous people trying to help, which may have confused things. For example, we weren't given silverware early on, we had to ask, and then one person brought a loose pile of forks and napkins. My mil had to ask for a full silverware setting (maybe it's not a typical request), and another person brought it later on. We also had some surprise charges on our final bill. With so many servers/buspeople/managers/bar staff in the mix, we were charged for extra drinks. We were charged for the "extra hot" salsa for our chips. And, we were charged for the two pieces of cheesecake that were provided for the bday song (Is charging for bday dessert a new thing nowadays?). They kindly removed the extra charges, which was nice, but I wonder how many guests have unknowingly paid for extra charges. We may return, but it will be during the week when it's slower, and we'll definitely be keeping an eye on our receipts from here on out.

Prices have gone up which is understandable because of the economy, but they have ignored to maintain the restrooms clean, they are dirty, some urinal not working, and the odor is disgusting! The atmosphere is cool, the bar service seems like they have attitudes. Also chips and salsa is good, but really charging for more chips. I would say if you don’t order food then by all means charge for extra chips. But if you’re ordering food, drinks, and you’re there for a while. Really! Charging for extra chips. No bueno!

The waiter was super quick but way too sloppy. He kept touching my food with his dirty hands...like, direct contact. Then he grabbed the top of my straw with his fingers and just dropped it into my new drink...qué asco! And he didn’t even bother to bring me a clean straw. Definitely an inexperienced waiter. I was not impressed at all.

They only had seats in the bar area, which is very loud and obnoxious if you're just looking for a relaxing lunch. They weren't serving their lunch specials (maybe because it was Valentines Day weekend). The portion were big, but they only gave us a couple of tortillas. We asked for flour but got corn and flour. We asked for no onions on our nacho appetizer, and that wasn't what we got. The food came out fast and wasn't that fresh.

Has a ton of potential but always slow. I was charged 2.50 for more chips. No decent restaurants do that. The service was good, and the atmosphere is excellent. My issue is with management. Seems too disconnected and unwilling to do better. The menu is a bunch of pictures with absolutely no description which says a lot about the demographic they aim to attract (hence the charging of chips). All and all i hope this place does well, but due to its current leadership, I don't see that happening

Food is not great overpriced and it’s extremely loud in there. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s my first time here and the food is not that great. For the amount we paid, it’s not worth it. The bar area is OK, but the music is way loud. It’s not a nightclub to have it that loud. I won’t be back.

This place is ok, had a bad experience with security running their mouths but what ever. Food is ok but a bit pricey for the quality. The place was a bit dirty and had a stench of something. If you go here be prepared to spend a bit of extra money. No reservations are taken so go early or else it gets crowded.

We went today and sadly none of us were impressed. I got the shrimp and asada plate. They gave me two bacon wrapped shrimp that had to be a couple of days old. the asada was the best thing on the plate. The beans had no flavor and the rice wasn't fully cooked . Definitely do not recommend it.

Great seafood spot, come here all the time but Managers can you tell the cooks to wash their hands after using the restroom! Especially the guest restrooms. One of the cooks came out of the handicap stall and didn’t even look at the hand sink and walk out of the restroom. This is a good restaurant just needs better management

Went with a large group about 15 people, terrible service. I had to ask for my drink 5 times and waited nearly 30 mins to receive it (after the whole table received theirs..), which it finally came out but was wrong. Sent it back, ordered something else. Lemon drop was more like lemon water, no kick and no flavor. Nacho appetizer plate was pretty tasty but very large and pricey. Had to ask servers usually 3-4 times for everything before they brought it (mind you we had 3 servers). They only let us split the check in two, which is very unwelcoming for large groups. Why can't we just do a bunch of small checks? Came off like they knew they were getting large group gratuity so didn't have to work for the tip. They have a club type thing on the bar side on the weekends, very loud. There are plenty of other better options nearby, highly recommend going elsewhere. Would not return.

I’ve dined at high-end restaurants and even partied in Vegas, and I’ve never paid more than $65 per shot. I had asked the server for the price before ordering—he never returned with an answer, so I assumed it would be within the usual range. Instead, we were hit with outrageous pricing and zero transparency. Felt more like being taken advantage of than treated like a guest.

I'm not against giving additional tip to the employees at any place where they provide a good service, but you guys need to be careful with Ivan he puts a high percentage tip on your check after taxes which increase your bill alot more.

The plate I order was over cooked and dry when I told the server she had a bad attitude. I asked to talk to manager to let him know about his staff and food he acted like he didn't care. He was young and didn't even a dress the issue.I went there about 4:45pm on November 20, 2023. My 1st bad experience there. I will not be returning there anytime soon. Very unsatisfied. 😞

The food was okay . I got the asada fries and the taco plate . The fries where crispy they came with sour cream, guac, salsa ,asada and a fried egg. To me $20 for asada fries is a bit much . The taco plate for my daughter she liked the tacos the plate came with rice, beans , and nopal salad. Now the food was good until we woke up the next day with a fever and throwing up. I'm not sure I feel comfortable coming to this location after this experience. Yes I am sure it was from their food because that's the last thing we ate for the day .

Don't waste your money and go somewhere else Horrible service I order shrimp and oyster cocktail, the cocktail came with out any oysters. I told the waitress that my cocktail didn't have any oysters and she gave me an attitude immediately and brought me one oyster in a plate without th shell and gave it to me very disrespectfully throwing on the table. I told her again that I did not eat any oysters and one oyster is not enough if I'm paying for a cocktail with shrimp and oysters. She said that she was not gonna put up with me she threw the bill before finishing my food when I didn't ask for the bill I paid and left without finishing my food. The bar offers a huge selection of delicious drinks or on tap drinks. The service during my last two visits has really ruined my meals. This time they forget my drinks and my sons wings were literally frozen. What restaurant survives this kind of issues. I thought I was getting pranks and Gordon Ramsey was going jump out to say, 'IT'S RAWWWW!!!"., I am definitely going to stay way from this restaurant for a while.

Arrived at 8PM. The staff did not greet us - the host and hostess were engrossed in conversation with each other with their back to the door. They eventually turned around and acknowledged us. We were seated by the staff but later told that the menu was not available because they closed the kitchen and staff left early. Why did they not indicate this since the beginning? Were they were too busy talking with each other to provide adequate customer service? I was then told by the manager that the kitchen was only serving appetizers and that the establishment used their discretion to serve whatever they wanted. Disappointing customer service.

On Dec. 29th 2025 when we arrived later the night only the bar area was open, and that was okay for our group of 9. Everything started out good but after the hostess took our order she visited with every table and never came back to our table until we asked for our bill to leave. She only said how tired she was and wanted to leave. Because of this experience we're not returning to this restaurant ever. Plus she got ZERO TIP.

I've been to this restaurant many times at other locations, and it's actually one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with today's visit at this particular location. I stopped in for lunch and sat in the bar area since there was a wait on the main dining side. Ivan was our server. During our visit, I noticed he was the only server in the bar, with some help from his manager, and they were handling around 4–6 tables. I started with a cucumber margarita, then ordered a chicken plate. The chicken was undercooked and had a rubbery texture. On the second dish, the vegetables were also undercooked, and the potatoes in the potato salad were hard. Throughout the meal, our server rarely checked in unless we flagged him down or after the issue was already brought to his attention. While I did enjoy the shrimp tacos. The overall service and food quality were disappointing. To make matters worse, silverware wasn't brought back after my first plate was taken away. I appreciate that I wasn't charged for the dish that was sent back, but given this was my first visit to this location, it's unlikely I’ll return.
