As a single diner this was a wonderful spot, attentive service on a weekday afternoon. Love the little bar area , sushi was really fresh I had gotten the blue crab roll, this other roll with no rice soy paper it came with and had mango with shrimp. Yakisoba noodles was not greasy ,fried great not overly sauce. Noodles were tasty. Only thing was the chicken not to my tasting.. it was a different seasoning I just was not happy with the texture and the flavors with the noodles. Overall I would recommend this spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty of parking always a plus and attentive service. Thank you

Each slice is thick and fresh, definitely worth the price! 🌈 SPECIAL RAINBOW ROLL If you want to try a variety of sushi flavors in one bite, this rainbow roll is the one! Avocado, shrimp, and salmon—my must-haves every time. Love the mix of rich flavors and that double dose of good fat from the avocado and salmon! Topped with crispy fried onion strips for extra crunch—yum!

My wife and I visited this sushi restaurant last week, and it was an incredible experience! The decor is very traditional Japanese--simple, clean, and elegant, which immediately sets the mood for an authentic dining experience. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and the sushi was beautifully crafted with precise knife work. The tuna, salmon, and white fish were especially fresh and delicate in texture. While I personally didn't enjoy the mackerel as much due to its strong taste, I can see how it might appeal to others. Beyond sushi, the tempura udon and fried chicken were also fantastic. Since the weather was quite cold, a hot bowl of udon was the perfect choice. The restaurant serves it in a stone pot, which keeps the soup warm for a long time--such a thoughtful touch! The tempura and fried chicken were fried to perfection--crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Another nice detail was the complimentary edamame served before the meal. It was a great way to warm up our taste buds while waiting for our food. And I have to say the service here is was also exceptionally attentive. Highly recommend this place .

Came here with a friend and the 3-tier Omakase platter was a showstopper. The scallop and uni were my favorites, super creamy and flavorful. The Yellowtail Carpaccio was light and refreshing with just the right kick, and the Snowflakes Roll was fun and crunchy. Service was really friendly and the place had a great vibe. Totally coming back!

The owner is super down-to-earth and the ingredients are fresh with generous portions — all at a very reasonable price.We ordered the Chef’s Choice Assorted Sashimi (24 pieces for $55.95) and were honestly impressed. The fish was thick-cut, fresh, and buttery — way better than expected for the price. The Rainbow Roll was also a win — smooth, fresh, and satisfying with a mix of salmon and tuna. Will definitely be back for those lunch deals — sushi in the summer just hits different 🍣☀️

A really nice Japanese restaurant that has an extensive menu and great service. Every dish was very delicious, fresh, and satisfying without making you feel bloated after eating. At other restaurants the rolls leave you feeling pretty bad after eating them because they are so heavy and overloaded with flavor, but here the rolls still pack a punch of flavor but leaves you feeling great. The quality of the sashimi was also really good. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The Otsukuri Sashimi (24 pcs) was perfection – 8 kinds of fish, super tender, melts in your mouth. The Soft Shell Crab was so crispy and light, especially with the tangy ponzu. The Crunch Roll was massive – creamy avocado + crunchy tempura shrimp = happiness. And the BSCR Roll loaded with baked scallops? Chef’s kiss. Easily my fave Japanese spot in Arcadia, and it’s only 6 min from the mall!

Whenever I crave good Japanese food on a weekday but don’t want to drive too far, I always think of Maki & Sushi, a cozy little “fashion sushi café” in Arcadia. I’ve been there countless times — it’s one of my go-to spots. My favorites are the Omakase Sushi and Omakase Sashimi, both priced at $56.95 per set. Two people can easily share by ordering one each. The premium version includes uni, oysters, sweet shrimp, scallops, and toro, all thick-cut and incredibly fresh. If you’re in the mood for something hot, try their teppan eel or the seasonal fried halibut — both are excellent. On regular days, I sometimes stop by alone for a quick lunch that costs just over $20. Even with omakase, the average is only around $50–60 per person. Great quality at a fair price — hard not to love this place.

Salmon skin salad 🥗 We got Yellowtail carpaccio with jalapeño 🌶️ Sashimi combo 🍣 5 kinds of fish $34 Aji sashimi with fried fish bone 🦴 my favorite! Peters special roll: spicy tuna and shrimp tempura 🍤 inside, avocado 🥑 and unagi outside, yummy! Comes with free edamame and miso soups That’s plenty for two of us, portions are pretty big!

Attention Los Angeles Japanese food lovers! Today I took the kids to Maki & Sushi in Arcadia — such a cozy little Japanese spot! The place isn’t big, but it feels warm and welcoming, with relaxing music and super friendly service. We went at lunchtime, and there was no line at all, plus parking was easy. Perfect for family outings or meals with friends. With four of us, we ate to our hearts’ content for just about $25 per person!

Tried their Sushi omakase and it was excellent -- super fresh, perfectly balanced, and a real showcase of the chef's skills. Also had the sashimi & BBQ ribs, which made for a fun surf-and-turf combo -- fresh fish paired with tender, flavorful ribs. Great spot for variety and quality!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. The next time I'm in the Pasadena area I will definitely come back to this place. The customer service was amazing. I went on a Friday night and they were super busy. That's a good sign that the food is phenomenal
