I placed an online to go order today that I messed up on accident. After Steve served my order through the drive through, I drove off to find I didn't get what I had wanted. I went back and Steve fixed it for me no questions asked. He was so kind, helpful, and considerate! Give that man a raise already, would ya?!? THANKS STEVE!!!
Steve and the Staff are Great they have really been Great for their specials and variety of selections. Including the Fish, wings which rival WINGSTOP... CHECK OUT THE RIBRUB.... ✔️ NUMBER 1 DICKEY'S IN DFW. MUST CHECK OUT IF YOU LOVE BBQ!!!
Ana is amazing! She was kind and patient with us during our order. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend
Standard fare TX style BBQ with its standard style rustic TX decor. It got 5 stars due to its very affordable prices (compared to NYC's) & FRIENDLY STAFF! Also, the place was pretty empty for a late lunch. It was nice to have a quiet post gym meal for a change compared to what I'm used to in NY.
The food was delicious, but I arrived at 8:30 pm and the dining room was already packed. No bread, no BBQ sauce, no condiments. I understand they close at 9:00 pm.
Don't trust the prices on the menu, apparently. As I ordered, I was told the prices were wrong. Clearly, it started that the meal came with a drink and apparently it didn't. Almost 16 for lunch, no drink, didn't get onions or pickles, and bread was dry... The brisket was good, potatoes were good, okra delicious. If going there, my recommendation is to order inside.
We ordered take out last night and we're really bummed with what we brought home. The guy at the counter was good. Friendly and helpful. The food made me sad. Especially, given what I paid. The sides came in the containers that they used to put the sauces in and the quality was definitely not what I remember. Also, the jalapeño beans were not available and that was definitely my go to side. I'm not a bad review guy, but my lawyer says I need to do a PSA. I feel that this fits.
Wrong price says sandwich for 8.00 and end up paying 17.00 if you want the combo but they charge everything separately. There’s no service seems more like a fast food restaurant than an actual dine in restaurant . This was my first time here and had a hard time getting what I wanted and the guys they have there do no good just rush you through what you want to order didn’t suggest anything nor offer any kind service to help me out since it was my first time here .
Went to pick up my to go order today. But since I brought the family I decided to order more and we ate at Dickey’s. Now I will say the younger lady at the register was nice but everyone else was not as friendly especially the mid-age manager. We did get fresh rolls, we sat down to eat the ribs were very toughhhh, the chop brisket was great. Mash potatoes was very lumpy and salty or something was off about them. Macaroni was warm. We ate as a family but after putting our food in to go containers on my son plate that was given to us by staff when they prepared his kids brisket was a staple in his food and i got the macaroni sides myself so not sure howwww that can happen an so thankful he didnt eat that. Not sure how it got there but that is very very DANGEROUS! We informed staff and was offer a pie which we decline. We use to love Dickeys and everything was very nasty, nothing was hot but warm and seeing that after putting food to go made me feel very disgusted. No accountability taking but I'm not surprised on how they didnt welcome us coming in...We will definitely NOT BE back! Use to be 5 stars down to 1. Not sure what happen but this is not what I was use to when I use to brag on Dickey’s BBQ.
Just left the drive thru and this is how my food look. The fried okra is definitely not fresh, you can tell it been sitting for awhile and hard as a rock. The bun on my sandwich was stale. This location is the worst Dickey’s I have been to.
Too many things to list. I’ve been going here for decades, but this location has gone downhill. Tons of 1 star reviews are answered on here by someone claiming that they will address the issues, but hasn’t happened yet.
The worst..I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich the meat was unseasoned, cold and hard. Bread was hard everything was so nasty and of course they forgot my drink.. smh horrible..
Horrible drive through service. If I could give zero stars, I would. The employee who took my order forgot to give me my credit card back. I drove about 30 minutes before realizing it was missing. When I called to see if they had my card, the same employee was rude and accused me of just driving off instead of apologizing for his mistake. When I asked for his name to file a complaint, the staff working to go orders covered for each other and refused to give any names. Completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go to a different BBQ place this one isn’t worth it.
I wouldn’t go here if I were you. Not the nicest people and didn’t have any interest in serving me just wanted me out the door. They advertise signs on Cooper that are not accurate/don’t display full terms and conditions. Like a daily special but not saying what day it is on sign just saying what the deal is. They didn’t even want to talk to me about it, And yes I’d rather save my $3 and go somewhere else. Very disappointed first time in Dickeys chain ever. Was told it was bad by other people but I didn’t listen and I should have.
Ordered take out and spent $60 to feed my family of 4. We were incredibly disappointed with the size of the sides. They put the sides in small containers meant for sauces. I ate my Mac and cheese in 4 bites. That was the entire portion size. This wasn’t just a one off. This has happened twice now. We won’t be back. We can go to spring creek and buy two meals with decent sized sides and split to feed our family for less than what we spent at this Dickeys. I’m Disgusted with this Dickeys location.
I ordered online my order was sitting on the counter even though we arrived early. My cousin was in from another state and wanted to try Texas BBQ. My go to was always Dicky's. I always enjoyed the food in the past. My order was incorrect and cold not to mention the mash potatoes looked like they were from the day before. I paid $83.39 for something left over in my refrigerator. Very disappointed .
Extremely dried, over reheat ribs meat. Came there because of buy 1 get 1 free plate. End up not using the coupon because 1 of the worker said you can’t chose ribs as 1 of the meat plate. I’m not sure if that was true. Bought 2 ribs plates full price. Loaded Mashed potatoes was sour perhaps it gone bad? Ribs was so dried out like eating pork jerky ribs. Dickey on Cooper is terrible place to get BBQ. Maybe different locations is better.
Does not deserve any stars because the food is not cooked with love nor do they taste the food before serving it!! It’s obvious on Thursday evening 09/04/2025, no cars in parking lot nor people inside the restaurant the food sucks. We walked in the bald headed man looked annoyed didn’t say hello. The other man didn’t say hello either and walked toward the register like he wanted us out of his sight. I ordered baked potato with brisket and the brisket had no seasoning, my other half order ribs, turkey, mac n cheese, no seasoning and the turkey tasted boiled. Surprised the restaurant hasn’t gone out of business. We will never return.
I’ve never been to a place where I’ve been mistreated by a “manager” dude is so rude for no reason we proceed to pay & he ask to sign & doesn’t give any instructions where to sign at & when we ask him where he gives a attitude and say right here!! Need to be fired for unprofessional behavior. I looked at other reviews and I’m not the only person this happend too!! Will never be coming here again!! It’s the hippo 🦛 guy with a sling on his hand. Dickey’s Barbecue in Arlington Tx please do something about this!!!!
I don’t even have to say much, this video alone should show you how Dickey’s treats paying customers. This guy claimed to be a manager, he was disrespectful to me and another customer upon arrival. He then proceeded to throw my receipt and food on the counter. I wanted a refund and he refused as well. The food was dry as hell and unseasoned of course.
I was here 7/26/24 @ 8:53 pm. I came to pick up 2 separate orders of pulled pork sandwiches that were ordered at 8:21 pm and 8:23 pm. When I arrived I asked about jalapenos and they said if you don't see them listed, put it in the comments and they will add them to the bag. Otherwise, anything that you check while ordering will be placed in the bag. I realize that this is not entirely true. I have 2 separate receipts for both orders indicating pickles and onions were to be added to both. Yet when I arrived home I did not have either, no pickles and no onions in either bags for either sandwich. I couldn't reconcile the order this night because the location closed at 9 pm, a mere 7 minutes after I got my food and I live about 20 minutes away. By the time I saw the order was incomplete they had been closed about 20 minutes. Do you know how disheartening this is? I asked about condiments and was explicitly told they would be in my bags yet, neither of my bags had any condiments except for the bbq sauce. One allegedly had the sweet sauce and the other allegedly had the Carolina sauce. Tasting both, I can't tell the difference between them. They taste like the same sauce. After seeing that they had 4 receipts stating the need to add pickles and onions this location still could not get the order right. I don't understand the difficulty here. If you can read you should be able to add everything to the order that is supposed to be there. That's the whole point in having it on the receipt isn't it? This location is about as bad as the Ball park way location in North Arlington. I specifically came to this one to get better service and I got equally as bad. Does Dickies just have no pride in their service anymore? These Arlington TX locations are terrible. All I can say is don't forget the golden rule of pick-up orders like I did... ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. THEY WILL SCREW IT UP 9 TIMES OUT OF 10. That applies to all restaurants. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER. I was so irritated by this that these sandwiches went straight to the fridge and we prepared something else to eat. You know it's bad when neither of us want to touch the food we went out of our way to get. Dickeys management, you all need to get on top of things. Retrain your employees or replace them. When putting an order together, remind them to add everything that is on the receipt to the bag before stapling it shut. That should be a shining example of why the bags should not be stapled shut. If they are open then customers can check the order instead of putting blind faith into employees that have little regard or pride in their work. I've enclosed a photo of the receipts(plural x4) with the pickles and onions circled. Yet two receipts on each bag stating this and whoever put the orders together still managed to not include them. That's just sad.
I normally love to go eat here with my family on Sundays, but today we made our last trip. The staff was rude from the time we came, the meat was VERY UNDERCOOKED and I could not eat or enjoy my food. Even the chicken nuggets for the kids were so undercooked that they refused to eat them and chicken nuggets are their favorite. The only person in my family who ate their food has been in the bathroom sick since leaving. We’d never had an experience like this before but definitely won’t be returning.
