Do you have memories from childhood of pizza so fresh, hot, and cheesy that you thought pizza was the best food on the planet? And then when you became an adult, you tried looking for the pizza of your childhood, and could not find it anywhere? All you found was bland, plain, greasy pizza on cardboard? Well, this is the place of your glorious childhood pizza. This is the pizza you've been looking for to bring back all those memories.
The best pizza I’ve had in years. The staff is so sweet, the whole vibe is cozy You’ll love being there
Best healthy pizza ever. Great guys doing great services with 😃
Great pizza and wings. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. I highly recommend this place. Would definitely come back.
Best pizza by far in Arlington. We enjoy the food and drinks every week. Today even with the power and water issues they prepared our pizzas very quickly. Well baked and full of toppings. The drinks are so awesome, especially the Moscow mule. All the staff is so friendly and professional. You guys rock!
First timer here, and it was some of the best I've had in a while! Prices are super reasonable, and pizza was out to our table pretty quickly on a Saturday evening. The cheese pizza, barbecue chickenpizza , Taco pizza, and breadsticks were all mouth-watering, and I can't wait to try more!
Okay from out of town, so wanted a place that was local! First off the charm is cool, the staff is awesome! Now, the food! They had grape jelly meatballs with some wizard concoction of bbq sauce and beware you’ll do a happy dance when you taste it! The cheese bread was wow, carnivore pizza and the white pizza was slap my momma good! Love the ambiance and true old school atmosphere
Awesome place with great pizza, good beer, and fresh salads. I couldn’t take a picture of the harvest salad since we already ate it. This is for the reviewer who said it was dominos quality… this is way, way, way better then dominos… you should come try it again! Come support a local business
The best pizza I've had in a long time. Very friendly staff nice atmosphere and a bar if you want a drink as well .
Kickin bourbon wings are 🔥🔥🔥!! Cheesy bread is a must! And create your own unique pizza!!! I made a Alfredo beef, spinach, onions, mushrooms, garlic it was delicious. Original crust is thick on edges but just right in center! The amount of cheese is crazy heavy and worth your $ in real fresh not frozen ingredients! Oh yeah Dez the owner makes killer drinks!! Great place to catch a game and eat as family or friends, separate rooms from the bar available!! My fav 🍕 place in Arlington!!!!
I googled “Best Slice of pizza near me” and this spot came up. I typically decide by distance, price and reviews (both highly rated and high number of reviews) and this place met all my desires. First it’s a cool looking place with different little rooms, a back patio, and a cute little bar. I decided on a personal chicken pesto pizza and ate it ALL (not typical I eat all my food even a personal pizza). My bartender (I think her name was Monica) instantly became my bestie. They have LOTS of beer options! I tried a lavender beer. I only planned to have one with my pizza but like I said Monica… I ended up staying and having 4 lol.
Out late in Arlington and looking for someplace to eat but not feeling the usual fast food joints then Old School Pizza and Subs is the place to be. Great Service and Great Food. Came here after a late Ranger's game and had one of the best slices of Pizza. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town.
Best Pizza place in all of Texas! If you haven't had you haven't lived! Most comfortable eating place with flat screens for your sports, a bar if you wanna drink, and the best pizza you ever had in your life. The pictures I took are of my bacon pineapple alfredo medium pizza. As you can see they don't skimp on toppings or cheese. They pile it on heavy and delicious!!! A must try, believe me.!!!
Anytime we are near this place we must make a stop! The pizza is the best around ! Unfortunately our baseball team made this our stop because we were close and we told everyone how good it was. We were a little crunched on time and only had 1 person taking orders for the whole place( was told the other person didn’t show up) so we had to rush and get our pizza to go as fast as they came out. Overall everyone agreed the Maverick pizza for the win! Delicious
Great little pizza place. The hot honey pepperoni pizza and the hazy IPA were a hit. The taco pizza was fire as well.
Just so dang good! It felt like being at home. It’s the perfect casual eating and hangout place. My friend came from Dallas, I came from Fort Worth so it was perfect distance for us to meet and share pizza and drinks (peach Moscow mules!!?? Delicious). Cost was so reasonable. The server was chill and all of our needs were met, and her recommendations were on point (the buffalo chicken pizza and the carnivore pizza). The owner helped everyone and it felt like home. I’m bringing other friends and coming back!
I take my kids here every so often, and the pizza is real and authentic. We usually get 3 large Buffalo chicken boxes because it's so good! Oh yeah the workers are cool, and the place feels like the title says "old school pizza tavern" nice little kick back.
Family lunch was great! Cool vibe and delicious pizza! My 12 year old twins were super pleased! Looking forward to coming back again soon!
This place is amazing all around. The pizza is phenomenal and unlike anything around town. True cheesy goodness! And if you're looking for an appetizer, the wings and the cheesy bread are musts! You won't be disappointed. But my favorite part of this restaurant is the atmosphere and service. The owners are pretty awesome and ensure their guests have a positive dining and social experience.
I accidentally found this phase last week and ordered the Maverick thin crust. The absolute best food accident to have happened to me. This place is easily in my top ten for pizza places, and I have been to many across the planet. They will get more of my business in the future... including today's lunch.
Their pizza and wings are delicious. We took a big party of at least 50 people and they were very accommodating and patient with us. Their staff was also very kind and the owner kept coming to make sure we had everything we needed.
This was my first time visiting Old School even though I've attended UTA for five years now. I regret not coming sooner. They do personal pizzas of their specialties and the cheese bread was awesome. I ordered the carnivore pizza and was delighted with the taste. Emily, our waitress was great and made conversation and jokes with the my group and I. I can see return trips in the future with how tasty it was. Also they have Stewart's root beer on tap, which is my favorite root beer. So that's a positive.
They did such a great job with our big group! Great food and atmosphere, will be coming back!! Their pizza is so fresh and it was great!
Awesome spot! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Great vibes, awesome beer selection, and the pizza was amazing.
This place was like an old church or old building. Everything was wood and it was a small area. You can eat outside if you like. The food was fresh and hot. There was a lot of cheese on the pizza. So if you're a cheese lover, whew, you'll love this place. We went to a Cowboys stadium tour and wanted pizza afterwards. This place was 2 miles down the street. We ordered breadsticks, hot lemon pepper wings, and cheese pizza. My wings came out with only lemon pepper, which was fine, but when I mentioned to the waitress that the spice was missing, she asked if I wanted it on the side, I said yes. Then, I was charged for it even though it was their mistake. Smh. I also didn't like the salad dressing ranch. I would go back... Park in the back.
Update! Going here less now. Been going here for 3 years, every now and then they will have a 4 star day, but most of the time it's 5 stars. Lots of cheese and plenty of toppings. The problem is they are now charging $26 for a large specialty. Can't see spending over $20 on it. I went from going 1-2x per month to ??? can't afford it. We got the BBQ chicken pizza, original crust. So delicious! I definitely recommend. The chicken and cheese have excellent flavor, the crust is delicious too. add some BBQ sauce and it's a party in my mouth!
Great pizza there in Arlington! Luckily, I found this place by the UT campus because of the high ratings. It did not fail expectations. I had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was an awesome choice! They whipped up my order very quickly and I was out the door. Next time I make it to Arlington, I will make sure to stop by.
Guys! We used to come here about 7 years ago and then it was under new management, so we stopped coming coming because they were rude and not helpful, but NOW... Dez runs it and they are amazing! Me and Dough Boy (an employee's nickname) had an amazing conversation... and it was just fun! Like it used to be. Definitely coming back when I'm in town!
My wife and I arrived in the area for a Cowboys game. We were looking for a chill spot to have a pizza and drink a beer. Prior to arriving We were at the mall and I asked 3 police officers who had the best Pizza in the area. The 3 officers immediately mentioned OLD SCHOOL. My wife and I arrived at the restaurant and the waitresses were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We ordered a large Pizza and I must say it was one of the best pizzas that my wife and I have had in a while. I highly recommend this place.
The best spot for fresh pizza, wings, and a cold beer! My waitress Nicole was awesome!
I’ve been coming here for 10 years and it’s one of my favorite pizza places . I always recommend it to anyone who’s in town. I recommend the carnivore and sweet heat
Bottom line: Good vibe, good pizza, good price, and nice folks. Dropped in for pizza not knowing the place. It's a small house turned into a tavern that serves really good pizza. Kids were allowed and there were a few tables/ rooms with kids in them. Got two pies (pepperoni thin and Mediterranean hand tossed). Both were fresh and tasty. The person serving us was very polite and friendly. Do not make a mistake this place is a bar. I could easily see myself watching some soccer and putting back a few with friends. The 5 star is for the overall experience. The place itself has some usual bar type wear and tear.
Wendy was the one who took care of me and my son and wife she was so very nice and the freakin food. Wow, I love their pizza and the drinks nice and cold. I really have not been impressed with too many of these food establishments, but when I visit somewhere and they have it all, I have to make sure I say I THINK IF YOU EVER ARE IN THE AREA HECK IF NOT IN THE AREA I WILL STILL COME EAT HERE LOVED IT MY SON PICKED A GOOD PLACE FOR MY 38TH BDAY BUT CHECK THEM OUT BY THE WAY I TRUELY WANT AND RECOMMEND THAT WENDY GET A RAISE $$$
Solid pizza joint! Craft beers, THC drinks and a full bar. Today I tried the feature the Cajun Bayou Pizza. Sounds like they always have a crazy seasonal pizza. This pizza is a Mardi Gras inspired one with Cajun sausage, shrimp and crawfish with a spicy cream sauce. Next month will be a St. Patrick’s Day pie. 🤯
Great food and even better service. Super chill spot to get some work done, watch a game, or just hang out. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and everything we tried was solid. Definitely a place you can keep coming back to.
We stopped by here after touring UTA. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter recommended the “Snowcone” for a drink and it was so good, we ordered two. The atmosphere was unique and it was such a positive dining experience!
Little whole in the wall but soo delicious! We visited a few weeks ago and let me say the pizza was delish! My boys were grumpy we couldnt go to McDs but they left happy and content! We will dlbe back!
I love pizza and have tried almost every spot in Arlington, but I finally found my favorite. This is hands down the best pizza in Arlington. I also ordered wings, which were absolutely incredible. The customer service was excellent, and the prices were great as well. I’m not sure why every UTA student doesn’t know about this place—they’re truly missing out. Thank you so much for your hard work.
This little secret pizza spot was amazing!!! The atmosphere is super cool, and old house turned into a restaurant. It had a feeling of being in Europe. The service was superb, thw food came out in a timely manner and the pizAs were so delicious. Got a few beers on draft and even a kids meal pizza. Everyone was happy with their meal choices, everything was delicious.
This is a cute little hangout easily one of my top 5 fav pizzas in life. Pizza is cooked so well, toppings are nice and fresh..its not too greasy and doesn't make you feel like you're eating straight trash. It can be a semi balanced cheat meal with the right toppins. Love this place. OH and customer service is very good as well.
This is the best pizza I have had in the metroplex this far. We did a large pie, split between Maverick and vegetarian. We also had a small cheese bread. Both came out piping hot and super flavorful. Service was a hit slow, however, she seemed to be the only server. She was super kind and had an amazing personality. This pizza was epic and very delicious. Spent $60 for the two of us and had a great meal. We will return soon. I really enjoyed the decor.
Pictures really do say a thousand words. We chose to eat here based on a picture of cheese bread and I’m glad we did. This place is amazing and so is the cheese bread. The pizza was huge for a medium and our kind server told us it was “Texas style” as everything is bigger here. Great food, great local beer and great service. I’d go here weekly if I lived near.
Amazing pizzas I never taught chicken pizzas tasted so good. The once they make are out of the world! Custom made pizzas are good an average of 12$ per pizza. Look out for offers on the black boards. They have tons of offers going on. They give student discount so carry your student ID if you are a student.
Pie and cheese bread were top shelf. Cheese bread was served hot and the server kept me apprised of both the bread and the pie. The topping on the pie was just spicy enough. \nWill be back.
Cool, laid back, dive-bar type of vibe makes this a good place to stop in for a drink. But the food is what makes this place really special. Genuinely some of the best pizza you'll ever have. Highl…
Hands down my favorite pizza in Arlington! Great owner great staff amazing dough on the pizza, definitely get the regular crust. It has a great flavor that the thin crust lacks.\nTop-notch toppings…
My favorite part of my entire meal was the staff. You have to come sit down, order and just chill. What a great day. It was truly amazing how they made my day better. Huge Thank You 4 being u
The atmosphere is great! Dez and his staff are the best. If you are looking for a great location to watch the game, good food and drinks this is the place.\nShaun

The pizza was great!!!! The dough/sauce/cheese combined to make a perfect taste. Had the sausage and pepperoni it was fantastic. It was all cooked and had just the right spices to make it great.
Place to go for pizza and beer. Can be super busy at times and also totally packed. Go early for happy hour to avoid the crowds. My only peeve is that some of the wait staff don’t know beer. That’s a shame when they have an awesome selection. One way around it is to ask for a sample. The wait staff is helpful in this regard.
I'm not a pizza snob, I love eating pizza. My & my friends pizza was only ok due to lack of sauce. Plenty of toppings & cheese but needs more sauce cause it was a bit dry if that makes sense. If I go again, and I encourage you to try out this place, I would ask for more sauce on the pizza. The crust didn't wow me, but I love pizza and it's a decent good pizza except for needing more sauce. We had the regular crust. Now, we ordered a salad with the cranberries, etc - awesome! Don't miss out on the salad!! The wings were large and sauced and tasty. Staff were prompt and friendly. The place is a cozy neighborhood, friendly vibe with outdoor seating, as well.
It seems like the place is cool but the waitress or bartender couldn't get attention to take order. Seem to focus on there regulars . The pizza was good I had Chicken pesto. Next time I will try it on thin crust. The beer I had also had alot of foam i had 5 sips was gone. No one ask if I wanted a refill .
Cool but not much The place is pretty cool, there are some decoration on the walls making it really nice. I was served pretty quickly. The price was fair too. However, I didn't like the quality of the pizza I ordered. The crust was overcooked and there was way too much topping on it.
The bread sticks were alright. The cherry pizza was cherry pie filling on pizza crust. I wish they would add something to it to give it a flair if their own. Maybe cinnamon and sugar on top. Or some orange bitters mixed with the pie filling before baking. I will be back to try one of their taco pizzas.
I loved this place! I had an individual sized pepperoni pizza and man it was good. They put the toppings first and then comes the cheese. So much cheese it covers the toppings. Mmmm There is always some sort of specials going on daily. The food prices are very reasonable and the happy hour will definitely make your pocket happy. I would have given it a 5 rating but it was not because of the food or service. The decor is a bit busy and all the drink specials were on various black boards, but understandable being so close to a college.
Good service on a busy Saturday night. I enjoyed the beverages, cheese bread, salad, and pizza. The establishment missed out on a sale. I planned to order the Irish Nachos advertised for St. Patrick’s Day. I could see the staff were overwhelmed. I decided it would be best to pass on the nachos. Sadly, it’s not an item they have year-round.
A real old school pizza place that looks like a movie set. They have a variety of dishes and they serve the best pizzas in four different sizes, which are customizable. The staffs are super friendly, but the place is noisy. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Arlington. Update after a year: we went here again (total 3 people) for dinner and the food was amazing. But we were charged an extra gratuity amount almost equivalent to the rate of a pizza since the bill was generated after 8pm, and it was mandatory to pay. Not sure if this is the same scenario everywhere else.
Took my daughters there for a lunch date and calling it a tavern lives up to that name. It's a nice quaint bar/pizzeria. The staff was amazingly nice and friendly. The personal chicken bacon ranch pizza was great too. They were also brewing up a batch of Sangria that they were giving out samples to get feedback on. The bar area was small but cozy-definitely the kind of place I like to go to, to have a beer and conversation. The only drawback that I could see was that the parking lot was very small and wonky. I would definitely recommend eating and drinking here.

Monica was horrible she was rude and constantly talked bad about coworkers. The food was decent but dealing with her made my time miserable.

The pot of luck shot was amazing! I did like their pizza too. Kind of tight in there since it's a small building but I love the atmosphere.

First time since new owner. Not impressed. Employees talking to you while eating. Pizza quality way down. Won't be back due to pizza quality.

Pizza was good. Very college vibe. Service was ok but feels like you kind of get stuck in a corner and forgotten about. Drink refills were slow an staff seemed distracted
The place looks very nice and the staff are very friendly. I went there because of the reviews, maybe my expectations were to high and not given them a chance. However, they took longer than the time they told me, once they gave me the order they were missing the calzone I had order. When I got home and took a bite of the wings I order I realized they weren't cooked.😒 the pizza was good but not what I was expecting. Like I said maybe my expectations were to high.
We came within an hour of closing but the service workers were accommodating and attentive. I appreciate that always. We ordered regular breadsticks, they were a little bland, if they had Parmesan on top it would have been more tasty I think. We ordered the Mediterranean pizza and buffalo chicken. I really enjoyed the cheese quality. It wasnt too stringy or hard. Both pizzas were flavorful. Mediterranean pizza, 6.5/10, solid pizza. The hot buffalo chicken pizza was pretty tasty and not too hot. 7/10.
I ordered a carnivore pizza with regular crust it reminded me of a meat lover with extra cheese from pizza hut. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I also ordered 6 wings in Buffalo flavor. It was the same with the wings. Not horrible but not that good either. They were very similar to freshly cooked 711 wings. Like perfectly cooked frozen Tyson chicken wings the best I can describe it. I asked for ranch for the wings and it was just a packaged Hidden Valley salad dressing which I didn't even use because that just doesn't taste good with wings to me. The service was fine and the overall vibe and atmosphere felt kind of dingy. Overall the experience was mid level. I probably won't come back

Here's my honest review of this business. Usually, I avoid expressing my opinion unless it contains important customer feedback. It's just not my nature. However, this time I may help those ordering pizza from these guys for the first time, just like me. After reading excellent reviews on their website, I decided to go for it and order pizza for 15 dinner guests and several children. I went in person to place my order so that I could interact personally with the business and ask questions. They were kind of in a hurry mood:)) Nevertheless, they took my order. It is a costly pizza place, too. I paid a good amount of money expecting something exceptional. 2000 + review counts, I thought. I ordered several medium to large pizzas as well as cheese pizza for the kids. I mentioned that I would have about four kids at the party. Most of us know that kids love cheese pizza. The next day, my husband went to pick the pizza up. The kid's pizza came in a styrofoam food container. I rushed to open it. Voila, there was a half a 8 or 9 inch pizza with three tiny slices. I had never seen anything like that before and was shocked. They used 16-inch packaging on the 14 and 12-inch pizzas. They were out of matching packaging. Not a big deal, but presentation!!! Upon opening, I could hardly tell the difference between the veggie pizza, pepperoni meat pizza, or chicken pizza. They all looked the same. No artichoke to be seen either that I have requested on the veggie pizza. The edges of the pizza were uneven. I was embarrassed in front of 15 people. After digging and poking, I determined which pizza was which. We couldn't identify pepperoni. I called to complain about the kid's pizza. The woman on the other end said, Oh, ah, they should have explained that the kid's size pizza is a half pizza - bread with cheese. For God's sake, why do you call it a pizza, then? Lesson learned. Never again. Old School Pizza Tavern is a tabu for me. I hope you find this helpful.
After coming here for many years, I think today will be my last time. The past 3 times I have come there has been an issue. 1st time the AC wasn’t working. 2nd time a roach crawled across the table next to us. Today, the waitress didn’t greet us and just told me my kid couldn’t have his drink. Well, if you would have simply greeted us, I could have told you that we were wanted to place a future order for a party. You would of also known, I didn’t want my minor child in the bar area. I didn’t talk back, I just said ok we will go.
I ordered online, they received my order. I walked in the door around the expected finish time. despite there being two servers walking around, they would both zip past me, actively refusing to make eye contact so that I could not even ask them for my pickup. Only 15 minutes later I had to walk up into one of their paths to command their attention. I will concur with the other reviews that it did feel like a certain demographic got better, more talkative treatment than others. IYKYK what it looks like. I’ve been here three times (2 w a group) and the pizza is fairly good fresh. However, I’m disappointed that there was a total of 4 pineapple bits on the Hawaiian I ordered. You’d think it was all buried under the cheese, but there really were just 4. I will probably not come back after this experience. I recommend heading to the new pizza place at the other end of Abram. I’ve had consistently great service there with great pizza!
These people have no comcern for customer service anymore. Andrea was the server serving us who has extremely Racist attitude. First these guys made us wait for more than an hour and than ended up …

Not what it used to be . Very disappointing, Our pizza order came out incorrect , and the waitress was lost in the clouds for sure . Probably out last time coming . 40 bucks for a pizza and 2 drinks
I ordered a pizza and salad. I ordered these ingredients with the salad: Apples, Cranberries, Croutons, Parm Chs, Pecans, Pepper, Seasoning, Sliced Tom., Creamy Italian, they delivered lettuce and dressing.
Visited for the high rating but very disappointed. Ordered half vegetarian and half Mediterranean with chicken and beef on each. Over priced ($27 for medium) and did not taste good; worst tasting pizza I had ever had. I felt cheated. Unclean environment. The young lady at the front was friendly but that's about it. Please check your receipts, I think they added tip without my knowledge.
