Opinions de White Rhino Coffee Arlington
I have been to both the Waxahachie and Cedar Hill locations, and I'm happy to say this one is a new favorite for me! I love that it has a drive thru, and the service was friendly and helpful. I got the Holiday Spiced Latte, and that was a really nice treat for this time of year! I'll be sure to be back, soon, and highly recommend. :)
Solomon was amazing!! The customer service is top notch!! Come here you be disappointed!!
The ambiance of this coffee shop is warm and welcoming. I ordered a peppermint mocha and it was phenomenal. The hints of mint and chocolate were the perfect amount. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I also had the Grab & Go Roasted Garlic Hummus, which was surprisingly delicious. I will definitely be a returning customer. Best coffee in Arlington, I cannot recommend White Rhino enough! :)
Upd after 2 months i return to that place. New girl from Slovakia on coffee counter been so nice and all new workers to. I decided to change my mind and going to remove my negative message if everything will be fine my next visits. I usually write good reviews and I used to love this place but what happened today makes me write a bad review. I came as usual with my family on Sunday and made my usual order. My order ALWAYS contains 2 plain coffees 1 with milk and one with sugar. So it was this time. To my surprise, they brought us all the other dishes, but not coffee. I asked about coffee and was told that if I wanted coffee I had to stand in line and order it. No smiles, no apologies, the barista and personal act as if they didn't hear part of the order, it was solely my failure and I should realize through their hard looks and cold and dismissive tone how guilty and wrong I am. I started to think. maybe it's my fault because i go here?
I have only been here twice now. Each visit was nice. Love the outdoor covered seating area. Each time I've gone I have tried the same thing. The avocado toast. Both times each one has been delicious. The coffee is so good. I hope you are here to stay.
If you have a love for coffee, you must try White Rhino! The staff is extremely knowledgable about their coffee and are trained very well! Every time I go in, I am welcomed with amazing and fast service! Their drive through is convenient when I am in the need for a quick pick me up and on my way to school/work! Outdoor seating is great and comfortable! Best coffee in Milky Way (Pun very much intended) ;) Glad to see them in the area!
We got a Sebastian and a Honey Latte. Hands down the BEST coffee I've had. Would recommend adding an extra shot if you like stronger coffee.
Such a pleasant experience. Breakfast sandwich was smaller but savory and delicious. The cinnamon roll filled the box and was a good sweet and sticky yumminess. The Lattes recommender were a delight: Sebastian (sweet) and Whole LottaLove (more subtle but balanced). Service was great at the front ordering and back delivery. Smiles abound with a chill and productive atmosphere.
I have enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating twice at this new White Rhino location and both times received excellent customer service and a delicious beverage. I have also used the drive-through several times and the friendly staff took care of my order in a timely fashion. If you enjoy Chai Tea Latte this is one of the best I have ever tasted! I have also enjoyed the Cortado and the Cold War. With their convenient location and their lovely seating areas I will be visiting this coffee shop again soon for a chat with a friend or some quiet work time. I highly recommend White Rhino in Arlington!
Such a lovely place, with good coffee.
Beautiful space to do work with some awesome food and coffee options. Loved my blended Hug in a Cup and Hummus Toast—will be coming back for sure!! What a treat to see how White Rhino has developed since their Cedar Hill Days 😊
Pretty place with affordable and high quality matcha!!
Absolutely wonderful little shop. My breakfast sandwich was delicious, but my coffee was absolutely divine! In fact it was so delicious, I had to order a second one! Hands down, it's probably the best coffee I've ever had.
Friendly feel coffee shop. I like how friendly and helpful the people behind the counter are. The coffee shop’s setting is simple but feel cozy. Great place to hang out or to work on your laptop. It was a super hot day I tried their hibiscus cooler which was really thirst quenching. Desert collection here is usually great. Forgot to take pictures this time. Come check it out!
Had brunch here and everything we ordered was delicious!
They make such great coffee, this is the place I come to when I want to “treat myself”! My favorite is the Whole Latte Love, but I’ve tried several and they’re always delicious. The staff is always super kind and sweet and their upbeat attitudes always contribute to the experience as a whole. You gotta try them out!
We went through the drive through this morning for our weekly coffee run. The outside is clean, beautiful and appealing. The menu has a great variety of drinks and eats. We were very pleased at the pleasant aroma and taste of our drinks, it’s delightful and delicious. We recommend coming here for your local craft coffee! It’s wonderful!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting White Rhino Coffee in Arlington, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. This cozy coffee shop exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved 5-star rating. First and foremost, the coffee at White Rhino is truly exceptional. From the moment I took my first sip, I could tell that they take immense pride in their craft. The baristas are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, ensuring that each cup is perfectly brewed to perfection. The flavor profiles were rich, nuanced, and utterly delightful. Whether you’re a fan of a bold espresso or a creamy latte, White Rhino’s coffee offerings are sure to impress even the most discerning coffee connoisseur. Furthermore, the ambiance of the Arlington location is simply charming. The warm and inviting atmosphere creates the perfect setting for relaxing or catching up with friends. The cozy seating arrangements and tasteful decor make it a great place to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee. It’s evident that the White Rhino team puts a lot of effort into creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for their customers. The service at White Rhino Coffee is also worth applauding. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and passionate about their craft. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations based on my preferences. Their dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction truly sets White Rhino apart. I also appreciate the fact that White Rhino Coffee has nine locations across North Texas. This not only demonstrates their popularity and success but also makes it convenient for coffee enthusiasts like myself to indulge in their delectable offerings no matter where we are in the city. It’s fantastic to know that a reliable cup of exceptional coffee is just a stone’s throw away, no matter the neighborhood I find myself in. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend White Rhino Coffee in Arlington. The combination of their exceptional coffee, cozy ambiance, attentive service, and numerous locations makes it a standout among coffee shops. Whether you’re a devoted coffee lover or simply looking for a delightful place to relax, White Rhino Coffee is sure to leave a lasting impression. Pay them a visit and prepare to be wowed!
White Rhino is one of my favorite places, and I was so excited when they opened one in Arlington! The space is beautiful with a fabulous mural, and I love the fact that they have a drive-thru. The coffee is amazing as always, and they have a great latte selection. Definitely worth a visit!
I went in a week or so ago on my way to work. There was some traffic, but I didn’t expect to get in, get my coffee, and get back into the same spot in traffic. Crazy fast service and they are always so nice! I highly recommend ordering ahead, it’s seamless and convenient.
I come here way too much for the great quality ceremonial grade matcha. Great prices and they have a teachers discount. Solomon was very helpful today.
Nice cozy coffee shop, friendly staff, quick to bring out order (I got a simple chai and a ham & cheese croissant 🥐), clean restrooms, comfy atmosphere, and there’s a community bulletin board which is a nice touch to feel more a part of the community! The chai was a bit too bitter for my preference, but it’s still a solid drink and the sandwich was yummy!
I got an iced toasted coconut latte and it was delicious!! I’m not sure who the girl was that took my order but she was precious! Super sweet and gave me a pup cup for my 2 girls. I’m visiting from out of state but will definitely return when I’m back in town.
Big fan! I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. Everything was great! I couldn’t decide what to get but I went with the Cold War coffee and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were amazing. The whole place smells incredible and it’s so beautiful inside. Definitely my vibe. I wish I lived closer. It’s not a big deal but would’ve made the experience even better if they had recommendations for first timers. Incredibly happy with what I got. I’ll be back for sure.
This is such a beautiful space. It's a vibe inside and out. The patio area and the area around the flowers is the ultimate message of connect with others. If it's too hot outside, the indoors is spacious and glorious. The team promptly greets you. They'll answer your questions and they're good with suggestions too. I tried the hot Chai tea latte (tasty) and the Lavender puff. Perfect combination. White Rhino Coffee is definitely being added to my best coffee shops list.
The sweetest little coffee shop with the best coffee - never tastes burnt. Atmosphere is calming and such beautiful aesthetic! Got to do my Bible study with my husband while we enjoyed breakfast tacos and avocado toast. We loved it and can’t wait to come back. The hug in a cup has always been my favorite since I discovered the original Cedar Hill location in high school, and it didn’t disappoint here either! They also give free coffee to any first responders on duty, which is encouraging to me since I’m one myself. Great little place!
Really great coffee shop. I had some friends come into town for a football game and we were able to meet up on game day before their game began. White Rhino is a great coffee shop near UTA and the close to the football stadium. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there are several outlets all over making it an ideal place to work on your laptop. The coffee and food (small plates) are ideal for a quick bite and coffee. It is also very accessible for wheelchair users using all types of wheelchairs.
First review! Wohoo! As expected on day one and from all White Rhino locations, the staff was extremely warm and inviting. They have all the classic drinks, but for the winter seasons they have a few extras. My go to is the Sebastian, the best way to describe it is “the perfect latte”. I got my wife the Winter Spiced Latte and that was really good too! The space is open, with a couple of offset sitting areas inside for more quiet studying or reading. They have an outdoor patio with a few tables, cantina lights and some fans that will make for enjoyable summer nights. If you don’t have time to go inside, you can get craft coffee from your car by using their drive thru. Access to the front is through Mary street, you will need to walk around to the front to get inside. White Rhino, I am again not disappointed! 12/10 would recommend to a friend. (Make sure you use your phone number to collect rewards and get coupons or free coffee!)
I have been to the white rhino in Dallas and loved it, everyone there is so welcoming and kind. I went to this location for the first time on Monday and as soon as I walked in there was a worker standing behind the coffee station just looking at me. Didn’t even acknowledge my presence for a couple minutes until this taller blonde-ish guy came out and took my order. He even brought the drinks out to me and my friend at our table. My experience was pleasant other than that.
Been a couple different times and the staff are usually pretty nice - I haven't had a bad experience since I've gone. The coffee is consistent with its flavors/texture, which I appreciate. Only downside - which is a personal preference - is the drive-thru window is a little high up if you're in a lower car. (If you're in a truck you're looking at the baristas eye level, otherwise it's kind of a stretch.) Parking & indoor seating can also be a tad tight, especially since it's near a college and across from apartments - but if you plan to go during slower hours, you shouldn't have any issues. Though they do have a really pretty patio set up.
If you are passionate about coffee and espresso drinks, this place may not be for you. It is not often that the espresso is extracted to the perfect level, it tends to be under-extracted. However, if you're wanting a milk drink or something sugary with a caffeine/coffee kick, this place is good. Service is always incredible as well. Compared to normal coffee shops that you will come across this is certainly in the top tier; can and should replace Starbucks in your life. But if you are looking for genuine quality coffee, look elsewhere.
Coffee and food met expectations. they had the option of corn tortillas for their breakfast tacos which I appreciated. Only complaint is the wifi network is a little spotty so I couldn't get much work done. I left after an hour but probably would have spent more time here if the wifi was more reliable.
The coffee is great! However, the sizes of the drinks aren’t that much different in my opinion. I love the drive thru option, just expect to wait a while if ordering food.
I really enjoyed the coffee with lavender. It’s a decent place to study or catch up on work. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The chorizo tacos were terrible. I couldn’t find any chorizo in it at all. It was as if they forgot to put it in there. That was the last time I ordered food from there. Some guy on the patio for some reason starting smoking a cigar. Not sure if it’s a smoking area or no. I assume not.
Editing my review because they no longer offer any dairy free food options. So if you are vegan or have a dairy allergy. This place isn't for you. I like this place, its a little pricey. However I recently had a baby that has a dairy allergy and its new to me. But I ask every time I order anywhere, which isn't a lot. I had asked if the flavors they used were dairy free. I was instructed they all were. Great, so I would get my drink. After the initial 'detox' period baby was still having issues on some days. After food journalling I figured out it was always after I got my drink from here. So I went inside and asked to see the label and lo and behold in bold text, the flavor used has milk. So I asked to make something else without dairy. Great, still after food journaling, its still this place. So the cross contamination is far too high for anyone with a diary allergy. I'd imagine they aren't cleaning utensils between uses very well. Baby has been fine since I quit getting coffee. Looking forward to being able to enjoy coffee that someone else makes next year. Vegan pop tart is delicious though so I will stop by to get just that some days.
UPDATE: (9-1-2024) It's hard to enjoy the Jasmine Tea, because it always comes out overdone. I discussed this with the staff, the explanation was that they couldn't adjust the temperature of their preheated water, because the water is preset for coffee making rather than optimal tea making. It's a shame because I'd love to enjoy my experience here to the fullest extent with good tea, especially since the service and atmosphere just as good as ever. UPDATE: (10-14-22) Gluten free bread and tortillas have been added at no extra cost, WHAT A WIN! I cannot wait to finally have hot food from here when I am in a pinch. 1/21 - Still pricey per portion, SOME gluten free options exist (outside of some drinks), but they are prepackaged and not freshly cooked. Atmosphere was nice. Opening week review: Pricey for the portions, also no gluten free options outside of some drinks :c atmosphere was nice though
I enjoy trying different coffee places and was excited to try this one. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was however disappointed with the avocado toast. The presentation was very poor and the taste was somewhat bland, it definitely was not worth the price I paid. The coffee was ok.
Service was good and the space was clean, but the quality of the drinks were poor. Our drinks tasted like the coffee you might get from a gas station. Which is a shame bc otherwise the place seemed great. Hopefully they can improve the quality bc it was extremely disappointing and not a great use of my $
Been a few times, but went through drive thru for 2 cold brews today and the guy could not repeat order back correctly and we have been waiting at the window for 15 mins and then brought a wrong order to us and we waited another 8 to get our second drink, like wow. Also didn’t offer straws or napkins, had to knock on window to get them. The guy didn’t seem to care to be there. Sad. Probably won’t be back, not worth the wait. Coffee ended up being ok.
The coffee is good. The staff are very conscientious and friendly. Some of the food is overpriced and low quality. I want to like this coffee shop, but the food at times just isn't good. An example, today another couple and we all ordered avocado toast. $6.95 for bread that was small, and nothing more than cheap bread. Looked like sandwich bread. They were out of ricotta cheese, and they did tell us before ordering. They should have given us a complimentary coffee or a discount on the toast. Something.
Super dissatisfied with my time here. I usually love coming to coffee shops for the welcoming atmosphere but this place did not have that. The customer service at this location is just lacking. I went to order and the cashier just seemed almost annoyed to take my order. When I asked what was in one of their lattes, all baristas at the front bar just looked at each other until someone answered hesitantly. I don’t think all coffee shops should have forced over the top interactions but at least be kind and treat your customers well.
I'm not sure what's going on with this place. It's been my favorite for the past 2 years, but for about two/three months now it has really been off. The coffee just hasn't been good..either way too sweet or weak and they frequently get my orders wrong or forget to give me items that I paid for. There are new employees that definitely aren't friendly or helpful and I have observed them in the kitchen making food without their hair covered or held back in a ponytail or anything. I am going to stay away for a while and give them time to work out their issues, which I really hope they do.
I love their coffee and atmosphere. But the biscuit I ordered was hard as a rock. I literally had to feed the top part to my dog. I’m a recent convert from Starbucks and want to support your business but you guys have to increase quality control of the product
The inside is very modern and doesn't feel cozy. Overall the seating is mainly long bar height tables and chairs. There are a few tables around for small parties to sit and chat. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, but not uncomfortable either. Ordered a small house favorite latte (hug in a cup), but it was too sweet. Not sure how many pumps of syrup they put in there but it kinda made my tongue numb. I couldn't even taste the coffee. They staff was extremely nice, but not very chatty with the patrons. This wasn't a need for me, but it's worth noting for others that want that experience. Maybe it's different with "regulars".
The decor is great and staff very friendly. Coffee was tasty! Breakfast tacos were lacking flavor, need salt/ pepper or someone Hispanic in the kitchen. The restaurant is literally freezing and there is an emergency exit near restrooms that people walk in and out- making a loud noise each time- definitely takes away from a nice cozy experience. Need to check restroom for cleanliness more often.
- I've been to this location and the Thomas Ave Dallas location multiple times and I loveeee the interior and atmosphere of both coffee shops BUT omg I just got a maple chicken biscuit and it was literally horrendous. so dry and almost burnt and just flavorless. don't waste your money on the food (also saw that in another review). - I will stand by that both cafes suck at making drinks from regular lattes to matcha lattes. It's always too sweet or it's just not good after trying 4-5 different drinks. - I do like their coffee grounds so I would opt for basic coffee here like a drip coffee or cappuccino. - Specifically for this place, there were nasty gnats filling up the pastry cabinet even though it's closed...
As a regular of white rhino coffee, I have been to a number of their locations. I have always received phenomenal service and love to interact with the baristas. This time was an exception, though. I’m hoping it was a one time thing, but my experience here was lacking. It was the 4th of July, so I want to give it a pass because of the holiday, but I just have to mention one of the employees here that was quite rude. I wasn’t able to get her name, but she was on the shorter side with black hair and was wearing a yellow top. I just found it so odd that she was sitting on the floor near the drive through area not working and on her phone. I needed a fork, and I couldn’t even get her attention. I love white rhino, but I just didn’t have a good time at this location.
Service and drink quality are extremely hit or miss, especially in the drive thru. Half of the time, you’ll get a great drink and a friendly demeanor. The other half, like today, you’ll get someone who already hates their day at 8 am and a drink that’s meh at best and outright undrinkable at worst. Probably my last time coming here until the issue of consistency is fixed.
I stopped by this morning for the first time via drive thru. I ordered a 12 oz iced vanilla latte with whole milk, made half sweet, a 16 oz cold brew, no cream just simple syrup, a ham and cheese croissant with no sauce, and a breakfast sandwich. My vanilla latte was extremely sweet, it tasted like sugar more then espresso. I asked for no sauce on my ham and cheese croissant and it was still added. My husband’s cold brew was also extremely sweet, we could see the sugar at the bottom of his cup. We drove off before noticing these mistakes and were severely disappointed. Not worth the money we paid for and will not attempt to try again.
The drinks are bad..compared to the other white rhino locations the recipes are not being followed at all. On top of that the drive thru wait times are ridiculous, it takes a few minutes to make a latte yet you’ll be waiting for 15-20 minutes for a below average drink that may or may not even be correct.
Worst coffee shop food I’ve ever had. Ordered the maple glazed chicken and biscuit. The chicken was definitely undercooked and the biscuit was probably from the first day this place was opened, extremely hard and old tasting. It’s so upsetting that this business thinks it’s ok to even sell food this horrible to paying customers. Never again!
Dear Jasmyn H Please get a dictionary and learn the meaning of the word latte . When i order a iced matcha latte - the term latte means (type of milk) Next time please dont educate me that a ice matcha latte does not have milk🥰. Learn from your coworkers.
About a year ago, this place used to sell amazing coffee. The past couple times, the closing shift has done a terrible job serving good coffee. My first bad experience came when I ordered a cold war, and it seems like they completely forgot the syrup, or they over extracted the shot. My last experience, I ordered a pour over, it took me 30 min to get my cup of coffee. I asked around the 15 minute mark, and they said "pour overs take a long time", at the 30 min mark of getting my pour over, I finally got my coffee and it was cold. I don't know when it went wrong with this coffee shop. It seems like they do not train their staff right.
The cashier was rude, just stood and looked at us. Not friendly at all. We asked about the app to collect points. There were no other customers, so we downloaded the app. It was almost finished when she said, "You can just do that next time you come." We spent $20 for 3 coffees and didn't get the perk. Then we ordered lattes, but they layered the syrup, espresso, and milk. When I asked if they could mix it, I was told that's how it comes. I asked, "Will you please stir the syrup," so he did but acted like I was a big problem. It tasted like sweet milk. Not good. I won't be back. Nothing beats Dutch Bros.
4 out of 4 times I have been here in the afternoon I have been served cold coffee. I order the most simple item, black coffee, and it has come cold every single time. I even once ordered a pour over to ensure I got fresh hot coffee and again I got cold old drip coffee.
So, I used to love going to get breakfast and a toasted coconut latte; it was a treat for me even with the high prices and going out of my way. The service has absolutely gone downhill. Not sure if that’s due to management or what. Today I used the drive thru and waited a ridiculous amount of time to have an employee with a very lackluster personality not heat up my breakfast tacos, never ask if I wanted a hot or cold latte and never ask about my being a rewards member. I wasn’t provided the salsa that the tacos always come with. Definitely not coming back. Not worth my time and the service. I’m super sad about it.
It's a nice place. But the staff @730am wasn't too friendly, the coffee was bitter (literally) and the large is smaller than a Starbucks Venti, but cost nearly a dollar more. Unimpressed
Very mediocre espresso pulls. I had the nost uninspired latte for $6
Possibly the biggest scam for a coffee shop ever. Coffee was microscopic and $7 and MID!!
Update. I continue to try to go here because it is so convenient. Shame on me. Order was incorrect and badly prepared. Definitely not recommended. Update. Tried this place again. Walked in this time. Much more friendly. But, my toasted coconut was made badly and my croissant was bad, too. That's a shame, given how much they charge. I think I'll stay away from here for a while. Drive thru is not very friendly. Tried it twice. Same experience both times.
They don't take cash. 😕 It doesn't matter how good the coffee or service was because they don't take REAL money. Very unfortunate. Very inappropriate. Please add legal tender to the list of currencies you take and I'll be back.
I’ve had White Rhinos coffee for years now, and I always get the iced Sebastian. I go there today to get my usual, and was shocked that it was like $7!!!! First of all that’s too high for a drink and ridiculously overpriced. I get the drink and all I see is milk on top and the bottom the coffee and caramel. What gets me the most upset is that it was 95% ice in my cup and only 5% coffee. I’ve never been disappointed in white rhino until now and just don’t see me coming back ever again.
I asked for a half-sweet lavender latte with whole milk hot today. After repeating the exact order 3 different times then checking with the person at the drive thru that is was exactly that, NOT the honey lavender latte, (just made with lavender) (I am ALLERGIC to honey, which I shouldn’t have to proclaim to make sure the latte is correct) they proceeded to tell me that it was all correct that’s what they got. By the time I got home the latte VERY distinctly was fully made with honey fully sweetened and with 2% milk. I am a barista. I get it was close to closing, I didn’t realize it was holiday hours since I was using apple maps to look at the hours. I didn’t mean to come in that late, I can understand wanting to go home I do get it. However, that is absolutely no reason to lie and say it’s correct when it VERY blatantly is not on the sticker even ! The lying is what got me. I’ll call tomorrow to hopefully have it fixed but I am simply very bothered by being blatantly told it was correct when it was very much NOT correct after checking 4 times in total. Allergies are not fun to mess around with.
Is it a new thing when you walk in and they don’t greet you anymore? Or is that just a Millennial thing? This is the first time I went here to pick up to good to go order. No greeting when I came in or can I help you? I ordered a large coffee which is like a medium size in other coffee place and it was over $7! They had a display of their bakery and you can see lots of bars in it. Gross! I hope the to good to order is not going to be covered in nats. I will def not be coming back here!
For a “large” coffee you will pay 7$ even though their prices say 5.50 for a large latte. The coffee sizes are insanely small for what you’re paying. It’s definitely not worth it at all. Go anywhere else. OVERPRICED.
