This place is amazing, so glad it's here! I've had the Rice with pork. The pork is so tender and juicy..great flavor! Wings were so good! And great beer too. The ambiance is fun and beautiful with good music playing.

Never disappointed! Finally had time to dine in instead of my usual door dash order. Would recommend the chicken Bun. Super flavorful meal, quick service & attentive staff.

I ordered the wings to go. They were delicious! It was very easy to order online. They text me when my order was ready. There is very limited parking. I would definitely recommend you try Singhs!

Super Good Breaded Shrimp!! I got the shrimp with vermicelli noodles, a side of sauce and I added siracha. Super yummy! I can't wait to have tried the whole menu one day!

So trendy, it can cut you. Food excellent, drinks absolutely awesome. Would love to return today for some more food!

Food was delicious! Love the banh mi and the way it was extra toasty. The only downs side I would say is that the servings of bún are very small and the egg rolls are extremely tiny in my opinion.

This place has been around for a minute. It survived the road construction and Covid There’s a reason why. Fresh, light, and delicious food.

So freaking amazing! Tried the pork rice bowl. Everything tasted so fresh. The vibe is right. Excited to come back

One of my favorite things on the menu is the pork Bánh Mì and the pork Bún. The food, the service, and drinks are always on point, so thank you from a returning customer from the food truck days.

The food here is too good to be true. The shrimp, wings, bowls, and of course the almighty brisket bánh mi. Definitely best in my book!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. If you like shrimp, if you like bread, if you life Asian cuisine, do yourself the kindest favor and order the shrimp banh mi. I am literally sitting in my bed, holding the dripping goodness of this dish, forgetting every single bad thing that has ever happened to me. Yes, I know what I said. It’s that good. Go. Go now.

P
Pam Travieso

The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with us (was our first time). Even offered to make cocktails from previous menu if they had the ingredients, thought that was super sweet, thank you. Ended up with Singhs Sangria super refreshing and also slammed back a chamoy shot (was a little thick for me) and then chose the noodle option with the brisket and made it spicy- it was so dam good and was like even better the next day reheated. My bf devoured his sandwich option with chicken as his protein. I had a bite of that- it was amazing too. Open late which is great- never felt rushed and they checked up on us. I would recommend and go again and again.

Today i had the banh mi with brisket. It was very flavorful and the brisket was really amazing. I suggest this to anyone to try. This was my first time here and I look forward to coming back again.

I really like the atmosphere and the food of this place! It’s one of my favorite spots on the St Mary’s strip to just eat something good and filling. Also the wings here are to die for !!

I came to San Antonio for vacation and wanted to try as many new places as I could during my stay. I found myself just wanted to come back to SINGHS though. The staff were so friendly and kind. The food was AMAZING, with such large portions. I would eat here every day if the location was near me. Thanks for making part of my vacation so memorable. I loved the brisket!

G
Gabrielle Kary

I was pleasantly surprises with this place. Insaw how many people weren't Vietnamese and immediately thought it wouldn't be authentic and tasty. Although not 100 percent authentic, the taste was a standout for me. They give you so much shrimp and their lemongrass chicken was spot on some of my favs in Houston. The chicken wings were great too!

P

loved my shrimp rice bowl, and had an amazing bartender serve me crafted drinks. thanks zack!

A

Singhs is my goto place for a banh mi or chicken wings. Everything on the menu is good but those are my favorites. If you are planning to dine in they have a great atmosphere and parking can be tricky. I usualy try to park behind the neighboring bar TBA when available. I have been eating here for over 10+ years and the consistency has always been on point. We don't live close enough to St Mary's to eat here as often as I would like but it's a nice treat when we are in th area.

T
Travis Valdovinos

The Bahn mi and the rice were excellent. l got brisket for both, and the brisket was very tasty. Ignore the construction and make it out here.

A
Ashley Fair

Some of their neighbors have construction going on so the road in front is closed but the parking is in the back of the building and is still accessible. The menu is pretty limited, but the food is delicious! I had the brisket Bahn mi, the bread was warm and fluffy and the brisket was flavorful!

L
Liliana Martinez

You can never go wrong with Singhs. Always fresh and tasty food, music at the right sound level to talk to your family and friends, one of the best spots in the city.

P
Phon Macy

Singh’s never disappoints!! Everything on the menu is superb. The wings are our favorite, I always order two so I don’t have to share with my husband. The grilled pork Banh mi is full of flavor and fresh pickled veggies, option to add additional spice if that’s how you like things. The bread they use is also top notch. Tried the shrimp a la carte and they’re worth the price, cooked to perfection. If you’re dining in, don’t forget to order a Hitachino ale!

J

I've never had an issue with their food. I saw a lot of reviews of the quality of their food going down but fortunately, I haven't encountered that. However, do I think their prices are high for the amount of food you get, yes. They need to throw in some extras like maybe an item for free or have lunch specials , especially at lunch. Nobody should have to pay $20 for lunch. But..... the food is delish. I had the chicken and rice entree. The chicken, always perfect and the rice has a very rare jasmine taste. You just can't get that flavor anywhere. My friend got the brisket and said it was some of the best she's ever had. The employee said , The brisket is the way to go.. my experience is always great ..

My son says it was the best restaurant he had ever been to. My wife says two thumbs up for her first experience. I can't leave without eating their shrimp. Get it!

We stumbled on this place because every Asian restaurant were closed on Sunday. It’s hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in San Antonio and I think we finally found one. The service was great. The food is on par with some of the best restaurants that we find in Dallas. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting San Antonio.

I

SO good. I ordered the ribs and noodles, and service was fast. Loved the sauce the noodles came with. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and it was also delicious, and someone else ordered the rice which was also really good. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. I highly recommend this place! Now I want to try everything on the men, so you bet I'm coming back.

G
Greg Leong

Really surprised by this place. The banh mi were simply among the best I have ever eaten. The meats are richly flavorful, the vegetables crisp with just right amount of tartness and the bread crispy yet soft. Delicious. The chili oil ribs appetizer was also terrific. We'll be back.

Every time I visit San Antonio I Uber dinner from this restaurant and the food is always fresh and delicious. I recommend the Chicken Banh Mi and the Shrimp Rice. You won’t be disappointed.

J

We enjoyed the food here and the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. We had a veggie sandwich and a veggie rice bowl. The sandwich and bowl were both very delicious. They did a great job with the vegetables. It was well seasoned and had a good array, including these delicious enoki type mushrooms. We wish there had been tofu as well but sadly that was not the case. Hopefully next time we go, there will be as that would have made the sandwich and bowl more satisfying. Also, the sandwich was not very filling so if you want more food for your money I would order the rice or noodle bowl. I would definitely come back here again. My son loved it as well.

This is a top rated restaurant in the areas near SA Downtown. Came in with my wife and little baby and check their menu and place. They have some killer banh mi Vietnamese sandwich. You can try pork banh mi and chicken wings. They were good. It costs about 11 dollars for banh mi and 12 dollars for spicy deep-fried chicken wings. There is a bar serving beers, local brews, and alcohol dancury or moose. Definitely come back and try their signature bun vermicelli noodle with brisket. They have a unique variety of Vietnamese cuisine. Good customer service ask for co owner Justin and the cashier so helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended for any visitors or Vietnamese food lovers. 🥪🍻

Located on St Mary’s strip. Singhs is the go to spot. Really good people and really good food. The pork belly and brisket rice bowls are the best. If you love a little bit of spice add the chili to it. Parking is available in the back of the building so don’t get discouraged. Staff is always friendly and it’s a very chill environment.

Beautiful spot. The booths need a little upgrade. But a nice atmosphere all together. The food is delicious. Some of the best wings for sure.

Actually it was pretty good. A lot of food for a small price. The shrimp was made well with the batter and all that goodness. The fresh greens they put in there, really opens up the palette bite after bite. The rice noodles I loved, they also were prepared well. The carrots were a bit surprising because I wasn’t expecting a sweet tangy flavor to them, but they were also good. Last but certainly not least, the egg roll. Never had egg rolls from this place, nor eaten here before, for that matter, but I gotta say they were good. It’s hard to describe the taste so I’m not even going to try. So yeah it’s a definite yes for me and hopefully one day I can eat more food from here. Good Job.

Ok...The best brisket sandwich resides here. I was blessed with some time to finally visit and grab a meal from here. It was a curbside pickup due to the current state of emergency. Ordering online was seamless and efficient. I was alerted for the start of my order and when my order was ready. The sandwich was extremely aromatic and when I had the chance to eat it, it was filled with flavors, good taste, and easy to chew. I also had a Vietnamese coffee that went well with the meal. Gotta go back and indulge more!

This was my first time trying this place the food was something new to my palate but it was amazing! The veggies, noodles and pork complemented each other beautifully! I enjoyed every bit, the portions are really good. Spicy shrimp are hot they have fresh jalapeños in them, it burns but in a good way. Would definitely recommend!

It's a cool place, with a slight hipster vibe and achievable prices. They have quite a menu of cocktails so it's probably a fun to go there in the evening. However, we came for breakfast. There is wall paintings, some Asian decor, pictures. Music is not Vietnamese though, but I liked it a lot anyways. Food is really good. I am not sure about authentication, never ate Vietnamese cuisine before. It's not a giant variety in rhe kenu, but it's still good. Service is attentive and pleasant. The tips are included to the price of dishes, so you are not obligated to add more, unless you want to. But. This place needs some wall repairs. And it has a problem of multiple American restraunts and bars: awful, cracked floor. But at least it was clean, not like in Olive Garden. And plastic forks were not cool. But I definitely will come back.

Went here around lunchtime for Father’s Day. Just park off the road behind it. Most of the parking in the lot behind the building seems to be for the new Wurst place. Heard Singhs was the #1 Vietnamese place in SA. Definitely not your usual Vietnamese restaurant, but I liked that. Total St. Mary’s vibe. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. We got the Pork Rice, Brisket Bún, and Winghs. I had a pineapple Jarritos to drink. The cocktails looked good, but I didn’t try any. American pricing, not like typical Asian restaurant pricing if you’re familiar with Belair in Houston. They charge a 12% gratuity for dining in as well, so keep that in mind when you go. Everything total was just under $50. They had a kid’s chair that attached to the table, so that was nice. The food was very very good, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone that likes Vietnamese classics. We found a new favorite spot that’s worth the drive!

We had the most delicious late lunch here - the brisket noodles (bún) and the brisket bánh mi. I had ordered the chicken bánh mi but the one I got was still delicious. Our wings were also crisped to perfection and not overly oily like some restaurants - all in all delicious and fast.

I cannot fully describe how incredible the food is. I know it's a drive, I know the place may not look spectacular from the outside. But if you came to eat you can do no wrong. We got the bun brisket, ban mhi sandwich, and wings. 10/10 no notes just go get it. If you are reading this and you don't go you will have made at least one mistake today. Also from prior experiences I should say get the ribs. They are also fantastic.

Ordered the pork Banh Mi. Super delicious! Was skeptical at first because it didn’t look very traditional, but the worker was super nice and helpful! She included a spicy sauce and this other soy sauce type sauce (very good)!! Definitely coming back. I did not know it was located right on the St. Mary Strip! They should definitely extend the hours for the strip, they would definitely make more $$$!! 10/10 will be back.

We came here for lunch on the weekend. It was busy, but was able to find a table without any delays. You order at the counter and they'll deliver it when ready. We ordered a few snacks as an appetizer. These were the Wings and the Candied Cashews. They came out very quickly and we're perfect for sharing. The main dishes are basically served as Banh Mi, Goi, Rice, or in Bun with your choice of meat. If not clear, it's basically the base of the same ingredients served as a Banh Mi sandwich or over Rice or over Noodles or over Cabbage. Once you determine your base, you pick your meat of Pork, Brisket, Chicken, Shrimp, or Veggies. Lastly, you pick if you want any additional sauce over it. We had a large party so had every one of the bases with various meats. I preferred the noodles with pork and Singh's sauce, but all were very similar and came down to personal preference. I really liked the Singh's sauce and bought a small bottle which is basically Chili Oil Crunch. Food was freshly made and tasted great. Service was good and was able to use the free Wi-Fi while eating.

First time in San Antonio this place was right around the corner from my Air BnB. Food was delicious, Jacob made some great recommendations. I had the rice bowl with the brisket, Chef’s special revolver, and a Kirin Ichiban beer. Joe the bartender was very talented and made my drink with care. Everything from the environment to the seating was great. I enjoyed every bit of my experience. Thank you Singha.

Stopped in cause I was working next door, and the smell coming out of this place was just too much to resist. The restaurant was pretty busy during the lunch hour, but I didn't go in till after 2, and there were only a few other patrons. Place seemed clean and tidy. Service was quick and when the good came out, I wasn't disappointed. Ordered the chicken and rice with an order of egg rolls and everything was delicious. I'm definitely come back with my family. Thanks for the great food guys.

Decent place for lunch or takeout. Food holds very well in transit. I like the healthier bowl options here vs what most other places in town have. The pork banh Mi was pretty decent tho I prefer my bread to be more like a French baguette and this bread was super soft. The chicken one was rather disappointing with the distribution of meat in the sandwich (see picture) as in not enough and didn't have enough. I expected more from a $12 sandwich. I would have removed two stars for the chicken banh mi, but I keep going back to this place for the bowls so I think it deserves 4 for that.

P

An interesting restaurant, with a unique vibe and menu. Tried this place for the first time with a friend who recommended it. The insides of the restaurant are very minimal, but stylish. The menu consists of several bahn mi options as well as a whiteboard menu with some items that change. Bahn Mi, Rice, Goi, and Bun (noodle) dishes are the main items served. All of them have options of pork, chicken, brisket, shrimp and more. My first visit I decided to try the Bun bowl, with the brisket which was very different as Id never had a noodle bowl with brisket before. The day I ate there it was raining outside and there were some nice seats by the front window with a view of the street that made from some nice relaxing viewing. Definitely a different vibe. If you like vietnamese food, you should check this place out.

Tasty, flavourful, fresh nourriture vietnamienne. My salad (goi) had lovely notes of mint & cilantro, topped with a very-large amount of perfectly cooked, succulent lemongrass chicken. (It was a bit too sweet & not enough acidity-balance for me, so I ended up adding Tapatío sauce to it all. Alas.) My companion got the beef on rice noodles (bún) , and was more than pleased & satisfied with her food. The use of disposable silverware was chagrining. Dining here can be quick or leisurely, classy or casual. The atmosphere of this restaurant lends itself to both. Love the colours.

Before they opened their brick and mortar restaurant, they operated out of a food truck near UTSA. We were regulars to their food truck late at night. We decided to stop by late one night and they were still busy on a weeknight. We went with our favorites. Their bún pork bowl (what we normally call a cold pork noodle bowl or vermicelli noodle bowl at other Vietnamese restaurants) is one of the best we've had in SATX. Their bánh mi pork sandwich tastes awesome as well. We topped off our late night cravings with their mouth watering Singh's Winghs! Why four stars rather than five? The bánh mi was delicious but was falling apart - still delicious though! Then parking - although the wait was worth it, I think we spent nearly 30 minutes looking for parking. Which I know - in that area, parking is hard regardless.

Flavor: B Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: A I had the brisket on rice and it was good. I felt like it was missing an opportunity for a little bit of sauce of some kind to bring it together. But I'm not Vietnamese. I wouldn't have expected them to have brewed tea but they have a really unique slightly sweet tea that was really good. The miniature egg rolls were the perfect complement to the meal so don't neglect to add those to your order.

Brisket banh mi was awesome. Meet was tasty and the bun was fluffy and good. Chili butter wings were good but felt a bit heavy and maybe too crispy. Probably should have gone for another flavor for my palette.

We tried the bahn-mi, it was great. This place was a pleasant surprise. Walk-up counter to order, they also have a full bar. Looks like a great neighborhood hang. Staff and vibes were awesome. We would definitely go back and try one of their bowls next time.

Food was great! I had the rice bowl with shrimp and enjoyed it very much. Rice has a lime taste and and shrimp has a nice semi sweet breading. I chose to get them fried. Lemonade sake drink was delicious and refreshing. Good atmosphere and they had dragon ball GT on the tv behind the bar. Good amount of seating, clean and comfortable. Good 80s tunes over the speaker when I went for dinner w friends. About every dish is over $10 but servings were generous and filling.

My husband was suggesting eating Vietnamese tonight, so we headed to @singhs_sa. I had been wanting to try it for a while. You order your food and drinks at the counter, and then they bring it all to your table. Brittany took our order and checked on us. Dad had the Limeade, I had the Strawberry Fields, and my husband had a Vietnamese Coffee. We ordered the Tiger Wings, 12-hour Brisket with rice for Dad, Fried Shrimp Bun/noodles, and Pork Bun/noodles. I had the perfect dish, and I ate it all! I think the pork and brisket were slightly on the dry side. The wings were a tad salty. Definitely a good first visit. We missed happy hour, which ends at 6pm. @singhs_sa is a participating restaurant for AAPI Heritage Month, and with the passport, we got 10% off. They do apply a 12% service charge.

i love singhs, i’ve been going for years and still don’t get tired of their food. The prices have risen a lot relatively recently which i’m not a fan of, i honestly don’t feel as if it’s worth it to go as much as i used to just because of this reason. I’ve also gone twice in the last month or so and the same worker (i was later told her name was angie) was super rude both times. i chalked it up to her having a bad day the first time, but the second time she made a rude comment to me very condescendingly - mind you, im very patient and understanding as someone who worked for years in the service industry. The male cashier who’s name i didn’t catch and another girl named ryan were both super friendly, polite and helpful! Other than that, the food is great quality with great flavor, so hopefully the attitude of the one person ruining my experience doesn’t continue to become a regular occurrence.

The atmosphere and customer service was great. The physical restaurant itself felt kind of modern but traditional with hipster chic (no opinion on that, I'm here for the food). The brisket in the banh mi was kind of dry but the flavor was pretty good. The banh (the sandwich bread) was more like a hoagie than a baguette. The overall experience was good.

I’m very new to the area and was excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant! Definitely was not what I was expecting but in a good way! I ordered the Brisket Bahn Mi, and everything except the Brisket was on par with a traditional Bahn Mi flavor, I do wish the brisket had more of a traditional sauce without having to order a side of sauce. The interior atmosphere is very bar like so it would throw me off to know that it was an actual Vietnamese restaurant. Other than that it’s a fun place to try for a twist on the tradition!

J
Jacques Cyr

I come from a vietnamese background and seen quite a bit variety. I came here with high expectations - but was disappointed. The chicken wings were nothing but fried with some sesame seeds, chilis and too much salt. It didn't taste anything. Typically vietnamese chicken wings are glazed and sticky with caramelized fish sauce which gives them their unique flavor profile. The Buns with brisket was similar. The brisket itseld was perfectly cooked no doubt about it (melts in the mouth). However, not much flavors except the added spicy fish sauce. The meat didn't seem to have been cooked in five spices, or another pungent spice. Usually, the meat is the star since the rest of the dish is just noodles and fresh raw vegetables. However, staff is friendly and the place is casual.

It was our first time going to the restaurant. We walked in and it gave a hippy type ambiance and vibe. They didnt sell Pho which we really enjoy. We had the bun plate with vermicelli noodles, romaine lettuce, carrots and egg and grilled pork. We go again, and we wanted to try a different Vietnamese restaurant.

The food is great. It tastes AMAZING. The lady that works there isn't the nicest and the service doesn't match the taste of he food. I'd just get it to go and check you got the right order before you leave

I got the goi with brisket and it was pretty good, but also little pricey for the portion. Also slightly disappointed that it’s not a very authentic place for Vietnamese food. The lady says nothing comes out hot, and all the foods are room temperature.

First part of the meal was great. The server was very attentive and thorough describing the menu for my guests who have never been to the location. Food was amazing as always. But unfortunately after the bartender took an additional to-go order from us for later and then he went on break without notice and no one ended up serving us on that side of the room.... There was no one behind the bar where we were sitting to attend to us when we tried to order a drink for the happy hour after our meal. We didn't get our food for maybe 40min until we got the attention of a second employee tending to other people. Seemingly that to go order that we asked for didn't get a name put on it and it was sitting under a heat lamp the entire time dying. Short of having to get up and go to the other side of the room, this employee only came behind the bar to change the channel of the movie that had ended... Only a suggestion, maybe somebody should stay behind the bar when you actually have a happy hour going on. Especially if there's people eating at the bar.

Ok, the Bun was tasty however kind of grease and the spaghetti broken. The front lady very defensive when asking questions about the "Vietnamese" restaurant with an Indian Hindu name. Less food more money than other Vietnamese restaurants.

Good place, the food it's good, but I always have issues when I do online orders and now they don't have a phone number to call and ask for missing items, NOT GOOD FOR ONLINE ORDERS

K
Kristen Codey

The sake cocktail I got was too sweet. The food was good. I do think they forgot I was there for awhile because it took a really long time to get my food and drink. It's a casual dining where you order your stuff first and then sit. It's not the greatest set up because you tip first and then the service wasn't that great.

If this is actually a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant it is very much whitewashed and overpriced. Meat quality is nice but it's far from justifying the price, the bread was just wrong for Bahn mi, after all sauces were added it made the sandwich super soggy and oily. Perhaps the price offsets labor costs? Note, they also automatically add on a service fee regardless of number of guests. Decor is nothing special, industrial/ farmhouse-ish, restroom floor was kind of sticky, it's likely not an issue if you're buzzed, drunk, or high. Food takes a long time to come out as well. This place is definitely an Americanized/hipstetfied pub/bar for drinking/socializing while enjoying overpriced food rather than a regular Vietnamese restaurant. Some people may enjoy it, but when you're just looking for a quick bite of Vietnamese take out, this is not the place.

4 stars for taste, atmosphere and friendly service, 3 stars for price. Got the pork bah mi. Nothing wrong with it, a perfectly average bahn mi but rather overpriced at $12. We were still hungry afterwards… I would potentially return to try another dish. Might taste good, but will hurt your wallet a bit.

I ordered the chicken bun for take out. The unexpected: - rice noodles were slightly thicker than I expected for bun - nuoc mam was kinda spicy which I didn't love but that's just my personal preference - pickled carrots and daikon were shredded, not julienned The good: - service was fine, just ordered at the counter -the lemongrass chicken is delicious, very strong marinade, making it possibly a little salty even but it's good paired with plain rice noodles The bad: - the noodles had hard pieces, as in it wasn't fully cooked or they let it sit out for a long time after cooking and it dried out. Nothing dangerous, but very unpleasant to eat and very easily resolved if they were paying attention. - the cost - it's already priced pretty high ($14) but acceptable if your food is excellent, but then they add a 12% charge automatically if you dine in and 5% charge for take out. Like, how do you justify that? It's a counter service place where you order at the counter and are given a number. So if you're looking at menu prices online, expect it to be at least 5% more.

Food was not to authentic. It seemed more effort was placed on atmosphere and music. They gave a little container of fish sauce which was not enough for the bowl of bun ordered. When asked for more, they charged $1 for this very small ( 2 tbspn) container, or any other condiments needed. For that, I won't return. Too pricey for meh food.

This was hands-down, one of my favorite spots about six years ago when I was living off of the Strip. I’m in town visiting family and wanted to take my sister there when I walked And I noticed that the place was not being physically maintained the way that it once was there were holes in the wall. They didn’t have that clean deal that I used to have. The counter service was so so and they’ve added a 12% automatic gratuity to their meals as someone who used to be a server and run around like a chicken with my head cut off, I still find it funny to people that stand behind the counter and push a few buttons over the course of 30 seconds Want the same percentage of a tip as someone who runs around for 45 minutes to an hour. At the end of the day, I probably wouldn’t be leaving this review if the food was what it used to be I got the brisket goo that I always get it was for his best nothing worse than paying money for a hot meal not even hot. It’s not like I caught them just on a bad day. I stopped in a few years ago also while visiting from out of town and had a similar but better experience, but it would seem they are on a steady decline Not sure why, but I hope it improves. This truly was one of my favorite restaurants San Antonio.

I wouldn't choose to eat here a second time. My tofu tasted and felt as if they made it the night before and I got the leftovers. The restaurant was a little dingy for me too. The coffee was good though. Charging 12% to bring the food to the table and then turn the POS around for a second tip is rude I think. Worse they didn't have parking and I had to pay to park was too much. They got 3 stars because my son said his food was good

Overrated food. The flavor was lacking. Watered down as if they are cooking for the geriatric or those afraid of spice and salt. Do not recommend.

Not sure what happened but over the year that ive been stationed here in San Antonio the food quality has gotten much worse. Originally it was one of my favorite places to order from on a regular basis but within the last 3 months something has changed. From the packaging to the food quality itself. My to go orders speak for itself. Just the sandwiches which used to arrive crisp and well cooked are now soggy messes of oil and grease...honestly disappointed because I loved their food in the beginning of 2021

I recently visited SINGHS Vietnamese and honestly, it was pretty disappointing. The food was just okay, nothing to brag about or worth getting excited over. What really ruined the experience, though, was the customer service. The young guy working there had absolutely zero customer service skills. He was unfriendly, unhelpful, and made the whole visit uncomfortable. I definitely expected better and won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Vibe is great, but I got a vegetarian vermicelli dish and it was the oiliest thing I’ve ever been served. I couldn’t even eat more than a few bites

We ordered take out from here. The wings were really good with the tiger sauce and added on nuts and green onion. But the banh mi sandwiches were not our favorite. First, authentic banh mi sandwiches are made with toasted French baguette. I also thought it would have tasted better with garlic aioli rather than plain aoili. The pork shoulder wasn't too bad but the brisket was really dry. Place inside looked clean when we came to pick up our food and staff was nice.

So, I will start out with as I entered the restaurant , the cashier was welcoming. I then looked at the menu and decided to order the chicken Bun. Then, asked wait, can I do half and half, half portion pork, half portion chicken, she gladly responded, YES! I said oh yay, because I havent tried the pork. Then, she rang me up and then pointed to the $12 percent tip gratuity that is automatically added, which i tipped on top of. Didn't think much when my total was $26. I looked at the menu, and I asked oh may I have my recipt, and she didnt seem to know how to operate the Toast or Clover system. I said, its just $26 seems a bit high, and she responded oh its because you added a protein. I was like oh I thought yall could do the half and half? I mentioned, if I was going to add a protein, it would be been nice to know thats the same price as pretty much a whole other bowl. Then, got my food in like 2 min and the portion of the pork and chicken was small. And the food was luke warm. I understand food isnt cheap but man, yall need to train your cashiers to communicate more efficiently about the menu and what the guest should expect. Wasn't worth the "extra" protein. I ate 3 bites and then I was over the luke warm food turning cool fast. Sad, because Singhs has always had a good reputation. Cashier didnt attempt to try to make amends nor didnt any manager come out to save the disappointing experience.

Never had a bad experience eating here until today. In an already small parking lot one of the employees zipped in incredibly fast and pulled into a spot I was in the middle of backing into (they went in through the employee entrance which pretty much confirmed it for me). I recognize that parking is limited but it was not only incredibly reckless, but also a little insane of a thing to do and has turned me off from eating there again.

We had a boba brown sugar tea, two rice protein plates both with extra protein. Boba was terrible, it was definitely not sweetened and I’m pretty sure the boba had been sitting for a long time because it was mushy and tasted like it was going bad. Protein didn’t look like it had extra on both plates and was kinda dry and unseasoned. Rice was not fully mixed so parts were just unseasoned white rice towards middle bottom. For a restaurant to have a high rating was kinda expecting something better.

I actually usually like this restaurant, but this is totally outrageous. This was $7. No tofu as shown in the picture. It’s literally 3 green beans and 1 piece of broccoli with some sesame seeds. Probably will never eat at or order from here again.

J
Jay O.

*ALERT* No PHO served here despite pictures. Also, items on menu are overpriced for the amount served AND to top it off they charge a 12% "dine in" fee. Insane. I havent heard of this and i have been to way too many places. Girl at the register was nice but other than that, definitely not worth coming here. Never again.

This place has really gone downhill, which is sad to see. Service is terrible and the food quality has gone out the window. Drinks? I couldn’t tell you because unless you are of pale skin tone the bartender completely ignores you. We won’t be back, but I hope y’all fix whatever has happened.

I ordered from here on uber and it was SO GOOD, today I stopped by in person to get it again and they tried to charge me $30 for a $15 dish. When I called it out they took it off and I paid cash AND tipped like 40% and they hand me disgusting cold soggy food. Never again🙃

Just picked up Goi Brisket. What a disappointment. Cabbage was wilted and soggy. Brisket cold and dry. Tasted like it was made yesterday and sat in fridge over night.

Singh is not a Vietnamese name. The rice was yellow, it must have had saffron in it but it was tasty. The pork was dried out. The lady who took our order was rude. The portion was small. Will not go back.

Stay away! Our car got towed while in their parking lot in a spot without Signage. Yet the wall with Signage was full of cars left untouched. Had to walk through dark alleys and a junky shooting up in the street at 11pm to get my car for $232 dollars. They blamed the building owner and disallowed responsibility. Tiny menu with mediocre food that is overpriced. The kids running it are wonderful but not nough

My husband, daughter and self came here to eat for Valentines Day. They were NOT busy. We politely sat down and waited 5 minutes. We were NOT greeted. Even though we were seated In the very front booth by the counter top. The staff saw us when we walked in and did everything to avoid us. One of the make staff even went to every table asking how they were doing but not us. We got up and left. I guess we were not young, white or Hispanic college kids. Just a black family trying to get some food. I guess they don't service black people! Don't go there.

This new location, 10/10 would not recommend. I’ve been to the original location numerous times so I wanted to give this one a shot! First looking at their menu, I thought it was going to be everything the St Mary’s menu will have. When we arrived, it was literally 1/2 to 1/3 of the menu and honestly, not the good 1/2 either. We ended up just getting the banh mi’s. I wanted bun, goi, and banh mi. We opt for 2 pork banh mi’s. When we arrived home, I was appalled at what we received. The quality is terrible. More than likely days old bread, un flavorful dry pork, not even the correct pork traditional Vietnamese banh mis use. We even asked for no Jalapenos on one, but surprise, we got it anyways! The location is also outdoors only… you do know we’re in San Antonio right? So we def took it home, but be aware!!! There’s a take away fee. Anyways. The takeaway for me, is this location is no bueno.

Disappointed that I have to write this review, as I’m usually a big fan of Singhs. Not sure if something has changed or if this is an off day, but it’s not what I remember and love. Ordered a brisket banh mi: the brisket was really dry and the baguette was chewy as if it was old and tough to bite through. Ordered the spring/egg rolls: they were eh. Hardy any bite, just mushy. Ordered the bun: I haven’t eaten yet, but it does have the veggie rolls, so I already expect the texture and flavor. But I feel like you really can’t mess up noddles and veggies. I was treated to lunch by my employer, feel like I wasted my reward. What sucks, is I raved about this place to my associates, now I need to rethink.
