Opinions de Thai Kitchen Arroyo Grande
This place is so good! The food also comes out surprisingly quickly without losing any quality. The service is also always excellent.
The best food I've had in AG, hands down. And some of the most affordable too. I stop here every time I'm visiting - and often more than once.
Out of this world. Best Thai experience so far. Outstanding food prepared and served by outstanding people. Thank you
Omg...it's been over a year since I was last here....this place is the best!! People here are amazing Won't let that much time pass again!
I like non pretentious restaurants and the Thai Kitchen fits right in there. Good food, great value. Quiet! My fave for lunch.
One of our favorites for years! Bert aways has fresh, delicious dishes. Consistently good. Friendly, attentive service.
The pumpkin red curry was amazing. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meals too. So good!
We come here frequently and love the food. The service is always great. We love the garlic pepper beef and pad kee mow.
The food at Thai Kitchen is very fresh and tasty. My husband, who is vegan, can always find something to eat there.
Excellent pineapple shrimp curry and great service. The setting is small and can get crowded quickly, that’s the only negative aspect for me.
We order from them once a week and they never disappoint! Their basil fried rice and pho are soo good!!
The Pa-Nang Curry and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) are delicious. Very professionally run place.
Awesome Thai food. Tasty, quality, great portions and service. Can’t go wrong here
The atmosphere is nothing special, but the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. We'll be back, many times.
Always great food, fast take out, and comfortable eat-in location.
After driving by this place hundreds of times, I finally tried it out when another Thai place in town was too busy to take my order. I am so glad I did because I love this place! I have had a dozen or so items on the menu and everything has been delicious. When I call in, the food is always ready when they say it will be and usually in 10-15 mins. I have only sat down to eat once and the food did seem to take a bit longer, but I don't mind waiting when I know how good it will be. It may be small and look a little shady, but don't let that fool you. With so many sub-par food establishments in the area, it is nice to find someplace that not only has good food, but good service, too.
Tasty Thai is true to it's name. The menu includes a decent selection of authentic home cooked meals. A real value in a funky but comfortable setting. Kelly is a wonderful host and his wife is a good cook.
Great food. Very nice people, especially Bert. Always ready when they say it will be, for takeout. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Not spicy at all unless you specify. Didn’t care for Thai food til I tried this place. Now it’s a favorite.
This place serves delicious food. It's also one of the few restaurants in the area that's open till 8:30. They stop serving at 8, but you can still order take-out and pick it up by 8:30. It's definitely a great place to eat!
Delicious! Everything was so good. The whole family really loved all the dishes we tried. The server was so helpful and friendly. Such a cute little place.
I love Thai Kitchen. I little charming building in the Village of Arroyo Grande, unassuming but packed with so much yummy goodness. I love their lunch specials. Their cuchee curry, cashew chicken, spicy noodle and coconut soup are some of my favorites. They treat their customers really well and service is prompt and fast. Takeout is also available. My only complaint, can soda :( no refills, please get a soda machine.
Expect a wait, because they are small and are flooded with To-go orders. But the food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly. Will continue to come back. Best Thai we have found in the Central Coast.
Kelly and his staff pump out excellent Thai food. I think it’s the best in town, and my first job was at a Thai restaurant! Very reasonable lunch specials as well. Keep it up!
I go here all the time. Seriously good food! I keep trying new dishes, and I haven't found a bad dish yet. The staff are really on top of food allergies. Never had an issue with allergen contamination.
I love thos place. I usually order green curry but they are all good. Orange chicken is amazing wife loves pad see yu. I must say out of the 20 or 30 times being here I've never had a bad experience. Closed on Wednesdays. My daughter loves the choo chi curry it is really mild.
Came down from Rancho Cucamonga to this Gem!👌🏻 Amazing customer service and delicious authentic Thai Food! I highly recommend this tasty Thai food! Pineapple Fried Rice was soo good! The boba, and the Mango dessert!
Wow! Prepare your taste buds for a great experience! We tend to go to Thai Boat in SLO, but this is closer and it is just as fantastic. Spoiler alert...the Egg rolls and wontons are 💥💥💥!!! BTW, if Thai isn't your favorite, the teriyaki bowl was very good.
I love this place. One of my local favorites. Excellent tasting food. Great prices. I love the Thai iced tea and the honey duck. But I've enjoyed everything I've ordered
Amazingly tasty thai food. And the owner/Server is sooo friendly. I messed up my order and he even gave me a plate on the house! Full recommendation to go there and enjoy!
The staff is always friendly & you get your food fast. The best part is how delicious it is. I've gone for years & im never disappointed. Everything is authentic. I've tried places closer to my home & ive been disappointed. They are the best
Delicious food at a fair price. Everything was prepared fresh and with the utmost care. The owners are extremely kind and passionate about their business and I would love to see them succeed.
Tasty Thai, has the best Pho in our area. I've been ordering Pho for the last 5 years. It's my favorite comfort food. 💯💯
Excellent Green curry! Very friendly and fast service from the front of house.
My favorite Thai restaurant and I've gone to all Thai restaurants in South County and San Luis. And I eat Thai at least once to twice a week. For me it's worth the drive down from SLO.
Seen this place in passing for a little while and they were closed, but they just reopened. And Lord I don't know why they closed because that food is good. Had the chicken pad Thai and it was delightful. The little gyoza on the side where the perfect amount of crispy and everyone working there was super nice. Even though our party was a bit inconvenient to them. The place was pretty busy which leads me to believe that they have a good reputation and I'd say it's well earned.
The hubby and I came here for a early dinner and of course my favorite is Pad Thai and I defiantly had to check it out!! I love mine with shrimp and chicken!! It was very good!! The service was great as well. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. A nice little place to eat.
Food was outstanding. Delicious and well prepared. All tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. Portions were generous and menu had great options and variety. Don't understand why not more organic items, but very pleased overall. Nearby parking can be a challenge, but we'll worth the effort.
Such a tiny and cute place. The food is fantastic! The service is great! Our new fabulous find because some days you need a bowl of noodles! Pad Thai is beyond amazing!
We are from out of town and decided to give this place a try. It was better then we ever imagined. The service was incredible! The owner was super nice and told us the story of why him and his wife wanted to start the restaurant up. It’s a total mom and pop place and is one to take a chance on. The prices are great and the food is amazing and is still amazing the day after. Highly recommend it! We will be going back when we come to visit.
Hands down the best Thai food you'll find on the central coast. Me and my wife have lived on the central coast for 6 years now and have been to many thai places out here and nothing comes remotely close to Tasty Thai. Be sure to call ahead of time as It can be crowded.
After trying several different Thai places within the Central Coast, this has to be the best spot for curry yet. I asked for my red curry extra spicy and they weren't joking around. Very spicy, flavorful and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Friendly service as well, I will definitely be coming back!
The food was very good, I'm excited that they offer Pho as well and will try it next time! There are so few places that do. But I went for the Pad thai with chicken this time and it was excellant the place is clean and the service was great!
I found my new favorite place for Thai! Im so happy with all we ordered for our family style dining experience. We had the best potstickers, pineapple friend rice and drunk noodles and more! Everything was so delicious! Boba tea was amazing too. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I’ll be a regular 👏👏👏👏👏
Best Thai Food and Pho on the Central Coast!
This is the best Thai food in SLO county!! So happy I tried i ordered shrimp 🍤 spring rolls garlic edamame spicy pork pad Thai and the CHEESE puffs are a must! Real Thai that speaks for itself. Honestly so amazing. I will be back soon!
The pad see ew was a great lunch special. Quality noodles. My wife got the Khao SOI and that was really good too. Quality noodles and even at "no spice" it had a little spice that was just right 🙂 My wife and I are both Asian American and both wondered how they make or source their noodles. Really good noodles especially compared to other places this area! Lunch special was reasonably priced. We'll be back!
This is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. Not only was the food incredible but the service was the best service I've had in a while. All of the people working there were all super friendly and our waiter helped us pick our food perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone on the Pismo area.
A wonderful post was shared on Nextdoor and this restaurant did not disappoint. I had the Pad See Ew. It was wonderfully delicious. I certainly will return to try the rest of the menu. Service was great. I ordered take out at the restaurant. Not a long wait but I'm sure once folks realize how delicious their food is, may be a little longer wait. Dine in and curb side pick up.
we were traveling through and stopped here to get a bite to eat. this is real AUTHENTIC thai food. we ordered pad se ew, won ton soup, curry, and fried rice. this place is amazing. everything tasted SO FREAKING GOOD!! the portions were a great size. the wait time isn’t too bad. please realize this is family owned, wait times may vary. even if it did take long, we personally dont mind waiting for delicious food. thinking about stopping here again before we leave the area :)
We ordered fresh spring rolls, orange chicken, spicy fried rice ,egg rolls and chicken coconut soup and everything was amazing! Sometimes food-to-go isn't as good and it was excellent. There are a few other items I'm looking forward to trying.
Absolutely delicious, good portions, fair price, nice people, cute restaurant. New fav Thai restaurant in town. Plus: best sweet and sour sauce I've ever tasted in my life!
Had dinner with my BFF here. This is our go-to spot in town. We love Tasty Thai food, the excellent service, and the delightfully cozy seating. I had Pra Ram, as per usual, and we both enjoyed his Orange Chicken. So delicious! My favorite place to catch dinner and catch up with my BFF.
Delicious. Did take out: tom kha, yellow curry, and pad Thai. Everything was very flavorful and cooked well. The curry and Tom Kha are a little sweeter and creamier (coconut)than I am used to, but that isn't a bad thing. For my taste I would prefer a little less creamy , but my wife preferred this to other places. Packed full of flavor.
U like so many central coast businesses, Tasty Thai stays open later than anyone else other Thai restaurant and their food is the best. Never disappoints. Thank you for working so hard!
My husband and I are here. Kelly was our server, he was great and had answered our questions before we ordered. He also remembered when we had first tried this place. First we ordered the cheese puffs. They were good and the sauce with them, was like a sweet and sour sauce. I enjoyed them. I ordered the pad woon sen with tofu. The cellophane noodles had the right chew and texture. The veggies were cooked and seasoned well. The tofu had the right crunch to it and it wasn't over cooked .My husband ordered the pineapple fried rice with tofu. It was also really good. They accommodated my husbands request of no nuts. The rice was cooked right and had the right texture and chew to it. Everything I looked at (rice, noodles, curries) can be made with either meat, seafood, tofu, or veggies. They also have a lunch price and a dinner price that are clearly marked on their menu. This is our second time coming here and I'll make it a place I stop when I'm up here seeing family.
This is the best Thai food in 5-cities (and I have tried them all), probably better than any in SLO too. My partner loves the basil fried rice and I always get the red curry. Every time we go in the owner and staff are so friendly, you can tell they put their whole heart into what they do.
One of our favorite spots! We love the wonton soup especially. Everything’s always delicious.
I love thai food and I love this cute little place with super friendly staff and good service. We went there for lunch and so we got smaller portions and 2 free chicken pot stickers on the side. But since I'm vegetarian, they gave me 4 pieces of fried (unseasoned) tofu. Which was... bad without sauce and I didn't have any. Thankfully the sauce from the garlic edamame was perfect!
Very fresh and flavorful! Was very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Has reasonable prices. The green papaya salad was super refreshing and had the perfect amount of spice (I ordered it without garlic, which I'd recommend). The green curry was delicious as well (be aware that "mild spice" is more like "medium"). Would definitely recommend checking out! 10/10
We came in for lunch and had a great experience there . Foods were well prepared and delicious. Gladly to find a local Thai place that have taste of home. Super friendly staff.
I am glad to see a Thai restaurant that have more menu selections and not just the common noodles and curries. We will defunitelt come back to try other food, we were craving for boat noodle soup and pad thai this time.
Place is small and simple but not plain the vibe is relaxing and fresh. As for the food, they don’t skimp and the flavor is wonderful.
I’ve eaten here twice so far. The owner can cook up a storm. Was very happy with both dishes I had. But the Pad Kra-paw was just amazing.
ALWAYS THE BEST! This has been my favorite Thai place since we moved to SLO county 15 years ago. The quality has never wavered, I always tell people it's the bat Thai food I've ever had and they don't believe me till they try it. Nothing compares. My dad had some weird falling out with the owner 5 years ago and it's so good that the rest of the family still goes behind his back. I've lived in a bunch of states and this remains the greatest Thai restaurant of them all. Tiny, run by like one guy and a kitchen person, but absolutely stellar each time. I make an effort to eat here whenever I'm in town visiting again.

Very delicious food. This restaurant is a very cozy venue with a small but very charming staff.
Rediscovery this place 20 years after my first visit! The Food was so good! Prices were great for lunch; even took leftovers with me! Service was quick and friendly. I've been twice this month.
Add Tasty Thai to your list of “must try” restaurants in Arroyo Grande. On an unassuming corner next to The Village in AG, Tasty Thai is serving up delicious, quality Thai food with vibrant flavors and swift service. The cheese puffs had the perfect ratio of fried wonton and cream cheese filling. The Khao Soi was served piping hot with perfectly chewy egg noodles in a creamy curry soup- so comforting! Noting that the one woman running the front of house did an incredible job. She was seating folks, taking orders, AND running food. Another sweet and cozy gem of a restaurant in the AG area. Can’t wait to come back!
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants on the Central Coast. We especially enjoy the cream cheese puffs, spicy noodles, and yellow curry. The restaurant is owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team who have created a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. After retiring from his previous career as a plumber, the husband now supports his wife in pursuing her dream of sharing exceptional Thai cuisine with their guests.
The best Thai food we have had on the central coast! So bomb! We had the drunken noodles, cashew nut chicken & shrimp chowmein earlier today & im already craving it again! The whole family loved it! It smelt so good, we ate before we got to take pics
Tasty Thai is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants on the Central Coast. The food is consistently excellent — fresh, flavorful, and the kind of meal that makes you wonder why you ever order anything else. Our family keeps coming back and it never disappoints. My only complaint? They're tucked away off the main drag in Arroyo Grande Village instead of front and center on Branch Street where everyone could find them easily. Honestly it gives it a hidden gem feel, but this place deserves a packed house every night. If you haven't tried Tasty Thai yet, do yourself a favor and go find them.
Best Thai on the South Coast. Very busy but still great service. So many shrimp in the fried rice I almost thought it was a seafood restaurant lol! Delicious! I really like the raisins in the fried rice, nice authentic touch. Excellent portions. Yummy Boba Thai tea! Local reviewer - 10 Stars!

Very good service. Friendly staff. Food doesn't take forever to get served. A bit to small portions to what I am used to at another places. Recommended!!
The food was unbelievably delicious! The restaurant itself only has a few tables and it needs attention. Expansion is needed, and repairs. Try it! You’ll love the food. The staff is very attentive.
This is a tiny, cute place. Food is good, but the portions are not generous by many American's standards. I loved it. Service is good. Drink menu could have some help. No soda fountain drinks, just overpriced cans. Tea is very good.
Nice very bright window corner location in Grover beach. Top notch curry and good spring rolls. Vegetables were fresh. Right on main road in Grover beach like mile from the sand dunes beach entrance
I am giving this hole-in-the-wall 4.5 stars as their rice and noodle dishes are excellent (sauce is very tasty) but their tom yum soup is at best average (it tastes like the one you get at a grocery store) and we didn't care for their fried tofu appetizer at all. But stick with the rice and noodle dishes and I think you will be very pleased.
I love their pineapple curry and also tried their sister kitchen curry. I personally prefer the pineapple curry and it was delicious. The sister kitchen curry was good but not as good. Also, the 4 star rating is due to slow service. It was a busy Friday night but it took forever for our order to be taken and a long time before our food came out. It was worth the wait though. So if you are a patient person and love Thai food, go check it out 😊
Will satisfy that Thai craving! We got the bbq pork w/chow mein, summer spring rolls and pineapple fried rice! All were delicious and nice and spicy! They will ask if you want to make your dishes spicy or not beforehand. The summer spring rolls were delicious. Added shrimp to them with the peanut sauce! Will go back
Have only been here once for dinner, but was pleasantly surprised. My sautéed vegetables (trying to be low-cal) with beef had a LOT of pieces of beef—after reading here that someone thought they skimped on the protein. And it was very tender, not dry or over-cooked or cheap. My family all ordered the pineapple fried rice and enjoyed it—with both shrimp and plenty of chicken. Great value for the low cost. It would be 5 stars if it just wasn’t so tiny. You can’t bring a crowd very easily.
Wonderful food, friendly staff, reasonably priced.
Wonderful food, friendly staff, reasonably priced.
I was hoping for some vegetable in my takeout order..I'm used to at least some carrot or cabbage in the soup.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Don't get the boba, it was pretty bland.
Meh. Heard it was great so I gave it a try. I was disappointed just not what I expect from Thai food. With so many good Thai restaurants around I don't think I'll come back.
Not my favorite thai place in AG, but close. Prices are on the high side and portions are a bit small. Quaint place that's family run
This restaurant is our very favorite place to eat locally! We LOVE their Pad Thai. Great service too! UPDATE: Unfortunately, they are no longer serving lunch. This means that I have to find a new Thai restaurant. Too Bad!
Been wanting to try this for years and now I finally found the time to stop by. I came in today and tried their Thai Boat Noodles. It's been so long since I had any and it's been one of those things I miss after moving hundreds of miles away from the city life (LA County/ Orange County). Since I've been up here it pretty difficult finding it and so glad I seen it on the menu. 1st things 1st, the noodles were good I just wished it had all the goodies in it like how our people, and the folks back home does it. It's good and it does help satisfy the cravings. Service was really good, it was cool to chop it up with the employees and have a little laughs here and there. Definitely will come back when I'm in the area and looking for bites. UPDATE: ♡ Thai Boat Noodles were good. Could be better IMO. ♡ Pad Thai was 👌🏾 ♡ The Pumpkin Curry (Lunch Special) comes with a side of Rice and 2 potstickers. ♡ The Mongolian does also and was delicious as well.

Good good...I had the fried rice with chicken..it was good..
Tasty Thai used to be very good food, but the last two times I’ve gone there. It’s been inedible. Not sure how you can mess up chicken pad Thai, but it was boring and tasteless. Such a bummer for a local restaurant!
They want to charge $3 extra for vegetables in Pad see yew with Tofu. I have never been to a Thai restaurant that charges extra for vegetables . Total is $21 as they charge dinner prices even during lunchtime
Food is great, but so disappointed with the owner’s lack of manners. Tried to walk in twice this week and have been rudely turned away. I mean who says, “it’s a 45 minute wait if you’re not okay with that then leave” to their customers? Unfortunately this is how you lose returning clientele.
I usually eat very spicy curry. I asked for mild green curry due to my stomach being more sensitive to spice lately. It was the spiciest curry Ive ever had and I couldnt even eat it, was watery, and had barely any chicken. My husbands yellow curry had no spice to it (he asked for it hot), also was watery, and mock duck was chewy. Not sure if they mixed up our spice levels (even though we double checked when picking up), but still wouldnt reccomend.
We came here for dinner and were very disappointed. We ordered the Pad Thai noodles and it was the worse I have had. It had no flavor and the eggs tasted rotten.
Spending a $104 Service was great but the pad thai with beef which I got wasn’t what I expected and others with me didn’t care for their food and wasn’t even offered soup or anything with our meals
I rarely leave reviews, but the food was barely edible. Very light on the chicken and what was there had obviously been freezer burned. Curry had no flavor. Peanut sauce from the store. There are too many decent restaurants here to waste your money here.
We have been here many times before and loved it. Had not been in quite a long time - not sure what changed but the food was awful! Hubby showed up 10 minutes before the pick up time, so it’s not like it was picked up late. We are 5 minutes away - the pad Thai was a glop of congealed noodles! The green curry - which we ordered spicy had absolutely NO TASTE. I have never had a curry taste so bland! We also got panang curry which was ok at best. I make better panang at home using canned paste than this was! Soo disappointed. Another useless AG restaurant. Will not be going back!
I asked specifically for chicken broth and inquired whether it was made in house. Maria told me yes. I said that is what I want with chicken. I get home & she gave me beef broth!! I called to let her know & she continued to argue with me about what “I wanted!” Anywhere else is California when you order Pho you get a choice of chicken broth, beef broth, or sometimes vegetable broth. Here “their Pho” only comes with beef broth. Listen carefully when they repeat to you your order or you will be disappointed! Awful customer service!
Really frustrating experience. The wait for the food on a weekday night was 45 minutes, didn’t get the food until about 25 minutes past that 45 minutes. My husband got home with the food only to realize they gave us the wrong order. Drove all the way back to exchange. Portions were small for the price. Food was mediocre. Definitely not worth the 65 minutes wait and two trips back and forth.
I've been to Thailand and have also eaten a lot of Thai food all over. So I know how Thai food *should taste.* Now for the review, and I've been here many times. The past few times have been an indicator of bland food. Seems like the food, service and venue has gone down hill since we first went there a few years ago. We just went there this week and I ordered their panang curry and the curry was watered down -- like water with some spice dumped in. We also got the fresh rolls but the peanut sauce again was watered down. Overall it was bland. As for service it was not as good as it used to be. Not worth it, won't be returning.
