This place is amazing! If y’all really like fried chicken, their karage bento box is crispy and full of flavor. The family that runs this spot is also extremely nice! It’s definitely a hidden gem.
I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The beef bento was so tasty. Especially the chicken karaage was one of the best I've ever had, and was crispy as well as chewy. I highly recommend to try it!!! Also, the owners are so nice and kind :)
A husband and wife selling what they do best. Homemade Yakiniku, Chicken Karaage and Musubi. You can order online or at the place but mind you that this is a take out place; there is no table for dining in. The wait is about 10 minutes if you place the order at the store. I came there during lunch time and they were super busy with orders and yet I only waited for 10 minutes. The chicken karaage nugget is so big and the portion of yakiniku bento is big enough for 2 meals. A go to place for a quick Japanese meal.
Excellent food. I ordered the beef bento. The balance of salty meat with starchy rice (and a thin layer of cabbage in between) was very good. I also ordered the spam musubi. I'll admit it was wrapped differently than I'm used to but I got more for my buck because of that. I will definitely come back to try the pork and chicken bento. And they have a spicy tuna musubi that looked very interesting.
This is one of my favorite spots. I recommend to try their karage if you are first time. Its so crispy. Today I have tried yakuniku. Its alrgiht.

I love this place so much! The food is delicious and the owner is very nice.
A small place but the food is packed with flavor. The bento boxes are perfect size and tasty. Would easily come back here for more.
We get lunch or dinner at Maruichi AT LEAST twice a week! The karaage and different types of musubi are really, really good. They sometimes run out of the karaage, so that tells you how much people like it. The karaage is marinated well and cooked perfectly. It's a bummer when they run out of the karaage because the options around just can't compare. Give them around 30 minutes to fry the chicken because it's made to order. You won't be disappointed... Speaking of which, I'm going to order some now. For the musubi, I highly recommend the tuna and kurobota (sausage) -- the sausage musubi comes with the perfect amount of wasabi. This place is an absolute gem.
Honestly… by far THE best Karaage (fried chicken) Bento I’ve ever had in my life! A perfect combination of crispy, crunchy coating outside and juicy, tender chicken inside! Amazingly flavorful! Beef Bento and Musubi were absolutely tasty as well! (Can’t wait to try more of their menu and I am sure any will impress me.) Decently generous portions for such affordable prices as well — This place is really a bargain! Also, the owners are wonderfully nice and friendly. Overall, this place is certainly one of my favorite spots in this area. Would definitely recommend to anyone without the slightest hesitation!
We were in the area and decided to check out some restaurants. This is a take-out-only joint. The owner was amiable and brought our order to the car. We got the beef bento, spam musubi, and spicy tuna musubi. The beef bento was delicious and full of flavor. The spam musubi was a hit with my kid. We will definitely be back to try the chicken karaage next time.
It was a humble little restaurant. I wish there was inside dining. The food was very good. Service was excellent. Very nice and polite people. I got the beef and rice dish with a spam roll up thing (not familiar with Japanese food).
I love this spot. It is small but don't let that fool you from getting some good karaage and gyudon ♥️ always a good vibe from the owners too
Wonderfully kind people, amazing food, good price, small menu and the food is just wonderful. A tiny place with cute art in front that made me want to visit and I love the food now! Just moved here and it's become a go to food place for me and my family. The chicken is crunchy and delicious, the pork is soft and sweet and satisfies all my taste buds! I haven't tried the beef yet because I've been stuck on those two. Thank you so much for being you!
Got the gyu (beef) yakiniku bento. Pretty straight forward place, no frills. Rice, beef, and ginger, and 1 other small side (I can’t remember) but it was really good. There’s no sit down. Just a desk to take your order and pick up.
Very very yummy. The bento boxes are definitely enough to fill you up. Get the musubi or fried chicken. You won't regret it. It's a small hole in the wall place without seating. Takeout only but they do bring it to your car.
I have been coming here for a while and I do like this place... Owners/employees are really really quiet n mellow and smiles sheepishly. Limited menu but all are good. Including mushubis. Beef or pork sometimes can be little too sweet for my taste but I think it should be fine for most people. Their chicken is my favorite. Light and crispy and crunchy. Today I asked them for less rice and more cabbage and they did a great job. they also came me free iced green tea which is refreshing. One of the disappointment is they cloae on Sunday which is great for them. I believe they go to church but I missed them on Sunday if I am looking for simple fare and good. I hope they stick around for a long tome to come.
They are always friendly and helpful. He brings my food to my car after I've ordered. The gyu don is always tasty and I tried the buta don this time and it is tasty as well. But my favorite is still the chicken karaage. The tuna and ebi (shrimp) musubis are like a whole meal by itself.
family favorite for years — truly authentic and unforgettable! We’ve been going to Maruichi for years, and it never disappoints. They’ve absolutely mastered authentic karaage, musubis, and their beef bento is to die for. You can really tell the owners put so much thought into the taste, texture, and presentation of every dish. The karaage is unbelievably crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the seasoning is spot-on—especially when paired with their carefully crafted dipping sauce. And the musubis? Next level. The spicy tuna, sausage, and shrimp are our top picks—my whole family can’t get enough! Maruichi is a true gem that keeps us coming back again and again.

Formerly Falafel Shack in yesteryears, Maruichi Bento is a takeout only spot, since it's, quite literally, a hole in the wall. A simple menu, consisting of assorted musubi and their specialty bentos. Choice of protein for the bentos are beef, pork, or what I ordered, chicken. Chicken karaage bento- Wow! There's something about that breading. Crispy, crunchy coating, surrounding delicious, juicy chicken thigh meat. I found the amount of chicken reasonable. The cabbage came w/o dressing. I assume the lemon slice was meant to be the dressing, but I used a bit of the included karaage sauce to alleviate the dry cabbage. Calling in orders is the preferred method of ordering, as there will be a wait. Customers can wait in their cars, and the staff will bring their orders out to them. Service was okay. As a walk-in, I was told my order would take about 20-25 minutes, which was fine, since I was headed over to Pampanga's Bakery. Meaning to have a quick lunch w/ the top of the nearby 7-Eleven trash bin as my dining table, I picked my food earlier than anticipated, only to find out utensils weren't provided. I came back to pick them up, and when I arrived back at my "dining table", I noticed no sauce was included. Again, I had to come back. Minor inconveniences, since I was a few doors down, in front of the 7-Eleven. However, if I took my order home, not having the karaage sauce would've been a buzzkill. Parking is via a small shared lot. Mariuchi Bento is located on the right of Domino's Pizza, at the 7-Eleven plaza. Minor guffaws, notwithstanding, I immensely enjoyed Mariuchi Bento's chicken karaage. The succulent chicken was on point, and I was happy with the lunch I had. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their beef & pork bentos.

This is one of my favorite places foodwise but drives me nuts because it is never open for business — and if they are open, they are often “out of eggs” and can’t make their best items. My family and I have even considered bringing in eggs with us when we order to try to help them out.
