Opinions de Kinship Coffee Astoria
Simply an awesome place !!! We just moved to the neighborhood a week ago and are already in love with Kinship Coffee. They really understand what a good coffee has to taste like and they make the milk temperature perfect to directly start sippin'. The ladies behind the counter are sweet as pie and also didn't say anything when I by accident brought my dog in (oops! I did not see the "no pets allowed" outside the door). Wonderful place ! Definitely a go to when you want to support your local coffee dealer 😉🥰
It’s a great work hub and meeting place with lots of seating, good matcha, yum coffee and the tahini chocolate chip cookie was absolutely delicious 😋. I can’t wait to go back to get another cookie. I only wish they had more milk options. Hazelnut or pistachio milk would be amazing! I’d freeze them into cubes for the summer to not be concerned about it spoiling! 😘
Loving their seasonal HOT Hojicha latte! Nicely done :) Their staff are usually a joy and always helpful and hardworking. I frequent here often and its a staple of the neighborhood. Happy to support and enjoy a walk in Astoria Park.
Lovely little place with a great atmosphere. The coffee is always A+, and the pastries are pretty good, too. The folks who work there are super sweet and professional.
Such a cute little place. Looks like they roast beans there too. We spent hours there because we had to kill time before we could check into our airbnb. The atmosphere was nice for that time. Coffee was delicious too. I had two!
Kinship is a bright, warm space with fresh coffee and great service. They roast their own beans at their Astoria park location. They source their baked goods locally from the tri-state area. Frequently bustling, I know that my time and money are well spent.
The barista was incredibly patient with us. We had no idea what to get and he explained everything. The orange blossom drink is delicious. Thank you. Will be back.
I enjoyed my latte, smells really good in there, l enjoy the work area and plenty of seating. There's also a bathroom which is a huge plus!
The vibes at this coffeeshop are phenomenal. My servers were kind and super helpful. But, the star of my visit was, without a doubt, the orange blossom latte. This drink changed my life. It is the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a while and I would travel from Manhattan back to Queens just for another cup of it. Also loved the little rack of vintage clothes they had on sale, some really cute pieces and it just added to the cozy vibe!!
An Astoria mainstay. With many locations over the neighborhood it’s a familiar sight. The flagship location near Astoria park is a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast. I’d like it if there were more seating, but what they have is adequate. The coffee is superb, and watching them roast is a real delight. 9/10.
The friendly knowledgeable barista was helpful with recommending a single origin for their pour-over. The method they use is really cool. At every other coffeeshop I’ve visited, the barista will use a kettle to pour the hot water. Here, they have an interesting technologically advanced system that’s built into the shelves ensuring the preferred amount of water at their preferred temp is consistent. It was great watching it do it’s thing! Thank you for a unique experience in your beautiful shop. The coffee was delicious and so was the canelles ❤️
Amazing coffee shop! The decor makes you want to take a seat and write that novel you never wrote. It will also make you forget why you went there until you see the coffee bags and a menu to order. Customer service was great, helped by Mat. My Matcha Latte was delicious along with a almond croissant. Great calming way to start the day.
Their autumn spice latte was reeeally good! Good atmosphere and fair prices. I like the thrift section with cute shirts and sweaters. Staff were friendly as well. I’ll likely return when I’m in the area again!
always solid. some interesting seasonal flavors and usually my quick pit stop before heading over to astoria park. will absolutely get jam packed w people especially on the weekends but worth it for the quality of coffee.
You must check out this coffee roaster in Astoria! They have a variety of coffees available so you are sure to find one you like. If you want a little treat they offer a variety of pastries including gluten free and vegan options which is a huge plus. On Mondays at 10:30 am they do weekly coffee cuppings that are open to the public. Be sure to give coffee cupping a try, it's fun to taste different beans and talk with others about what you're tasting.
Giving 5 for this location since the staff team I met was soooo kind and supportive. They patiently introduced different kinds of coffee and provide insights. ☕️✨❤️🔥Pour over options were many, I got one that I really like after asking the staff. ☕️🥛Cold brew was smooth with the batch was professionally picked.
I tried the ice coffee with oat milk and simple syrup. It was pretty good but I couldn't finish it. I was able to get some work done here. I'd come back but next time I'm going to keep my airpods in. Also I want to try a hot drink next time. Bae's drink looks good.
I had the espresso. It was really good. I had to write this review. They roast their own beans and it is wonderful. Friendly and quiet on weekdays. The coffee brings crowds on weekends. No wonder!!
First time visiting this location and it felt like such a cozy gem! Perfect for those who are working from home and need a quiet place to drink delicious coffee and work. My husband got a hot latte with almond milk and it was absolutely exquisite. We tried a different location and it was not as good as this location. Highly recommended!
Visit: Sunday 9am Order: Cortado($5) and Cold Brew($5) (Love the whole price rather than havign to deal with change) Really great spot for delicious espresso based drinks. I personally like your basic Nutty/Chocolate beans, so the espresso they had at the time of visit was sharper than what I like. Loved the cold brew! But I would definitely come back. There is a great patio for reading on a nice day.
I’ve been to several cafes for “WFH” in Astoria and this one is definitely the best for a person looking for a place to read a book or work: large space, reliable wifi, ambiance, music, quality of coffee, staff service. It also has a terrace where you can sit outside. I had their pour over of Ethiopia and I can say that they know coffee! Strongly recommend!

The place is lovely, very cozy and comfortable. Probably the best coffee in whole Astoria, and special thanks to the barista, Ana, who made it perfectly to my liking. Very quick and gave good recommendations.
Kinships is the ONLY mellow coffee spot I ENJOY going to. The Vibe is good for a break. I am confused about all the "new Coffee Shops "; they stress me out lol nice decor and also good quality, but none of them come close to a relaxed atmosphere. Kinship does that and everything else very well .

I love this place, but they do close pretty early (5pm). The staff is super friendly and welcoming, but the only thing is they don’t have much of a pastry/ bakery good selection. I always go for a zucchini loaf, but they are always out when I get there. I wish they would order more since they’re so popular. Overall really nice place, they have really good bakery items, but they don’t have much stock, so it’s usually a hit or miss. With that said, they also have a good lavender matcha at the one on 30th av.I just wish they had more bakery items to go with the coffee. Overall, I do recommend.
I started off by going to the original kinship on Steinway so I’m glad to see one open up closer to home. The espresso here is consistent with a wonderful sweetness to it. The space is also bright and airy and it’s cool to see they roast their own beans here. The location is excellent and they have a small bit of outdoor seating so I can only see them getting busier and busier as the weather gets nicer and everyone heads out to the park. What I don’t like is how pricey it is. I understand quality coffee is money and I’m clearly not that bothered since I keep coming back but an iced oat milk latte rings in at $6.75 before tip whereas the same thing a few blocks down at mighty oak is about $1 less. They do have punch cards tho which is nice. My last qualm is that even though the space is nice, there’s really only two good tables to do work at. If you can’t get one you’re gonna have to use your lap as a desk.
This may be the best peach black iced tea I have ever tasted. Subtle but refreshing, sweet but not oversweet. Perfect!
The ambience at Kinship Coffee is welcoming and warm. I went with my family and golden doodle and we didnt feel out of place as there were multiple patrons that came with their dogs or children, although a good amount of people were on their laptops working. As for the drinks, I got a cortado and my spouse an iced americano. I cant say that they were spectacular, but I did enjoy drinking my cortado and relaxing with my family. All in all, a nice neighborhood coffee shop that I would like to come back to at some point!
We went in for a quick coffee takeout order! The place was full and you can see people on their laptops, friends chatting and a long line for orders! It’s a comfortable space, the staff is friendly and accommodating! They have great coffee and excellent customer service!
Excellent place for a caffeinated drink when close to Astoria Park. Plenty of comfortable seating with several tables. Friendly service. Came back on 11/9 for the deliciously fluffy/ frothy lattes. Added some maple syrup this time. I like this place but perhaps they should turn the music up louder. A lot of people are quietly doing their thing on their laptops but there is a consistent loud person in the room. Conversations carry very well in this space. Just wish people would be more aware that they should not speak louder than the group they are sitting with needs to hear them.
We saw an article about 20 must-visit coffee shops in NYC and Kinship Coffee was one of the few from Queens on it. We were so excited about this news and had really high expectation before we went. There are 3 branches in Astoria and the decor of this location is the most appealing one for us when we searched photos on the website. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing with lots of greens & wooden furniture. We got 2 cups of hot latte and iced latte to refresh our morning. We loved the blend so much and really enjoyed the smell. We also got a pack of their beans in dark roast, which was freshly roasted to go. The pastries they serve is from our favorite bakery Balthazar. We got one Almond Croissant & Scone and both were so good, but the staff couldn't help us reheat them so it’s kind of disappointing.
This is a beautiful space located right by the park. Lots of seating and very open! The coffee is so rich and delicious. Note: hours are limited (5:00). No outlets- not a work from home cafe.
I love this place! It’s super close to astoria park, im often grabbing a drink and walking over to the park to enjoy it. The espresso has great flavor and not too bitter, the pour overs are so delicious and I appreciate that at this location you can pick your beans. The pour over automatic machine is fun to watch, it takes about 5 minutes so rushed coffee goers beware. Knocking off a star because they don’t have a generic drip option so all the drinks here will run you 4$ - 7$ except maybe the teas.. I cant provide intel on that front. The staff is always lovely and the coffee is always fab..
Keepin it real out here in Astoria. Went into this cafe randomly cause I needed to drop a deuc3. Ended up trying the latte and staying for an hour on my laptop. Great cafe to get work done. Something slightly off about the vibe there but couldn't pinpoint it, still a decent experience overall. Neighborhood cafe but still feels kind of transient, will probably visit again

didn't try pastries but I didn't like coffee. You roast the coffee beans so lightly to enhance the flavor that after a certain point, the coffee taste starts becoming sour. like green apron or sunsera of a well known brand. I can't say it's bad but I didn't like and be aware of what you will experience. the Expresso from these beans will smell wonderful, next time...

Really disappointing that they decided to stop their Cold Brew growler service (and right in the middle of summer!) Used to go on average twice a week, usually spending about $50-60 there a week between getting growlers and the occasional latte or pastry. Coffee and pastries are good, but if the place gets busy then they usually only have 1 or 2 people working so it gets backed up quick. (A couple very sweet and friendly employees though, were always very pleasant whenever I went)
We ordered 2 coffee and 2 hot chocolate. I understand if there was only 1 barista, but we did not get the order after 20 min wait. And the worst he made the drinks for other who came after us, he gave us the drink after I told him if we were waiting.

Stopped by this morning to check out the place today but an employee there was rude and had an attitude. Waited for the lady to finish talking to another person while the line built behind me waiting for her to finish so that people could order. Another barista told her people were waiting and she looked at me and gave me an attitude and twisted her face in disapproval and contempt at me and finally calmed down enough to actually take my order. Maybe they should consider training their employees better or actually hire people who know basic customer service skills. Went there to get something hot to drink but felt completely disrespected. Basically handed my money over to someone so that they can insult me. Will not be visiting this coffeeshop again. Astoria has other coffeeshops with nicer employees
