Great atmosphere and music! I ordered the Mocha and it was perfect crafted and delicious.
The drip coffee in this place was fantastic, the service great and the atmosphere nice and relaxed!
I love this place. Jump into years past and enjoy the best coffee of your life
My husband is a barista, he said this was the best cup of coffee he had in New York.
Great espresso. Friendly staff. I just wish they had a bathroom.
Friendly barista, great coffee, fast service, and comfortable indoor seating.
Good espresso and free WiFi! The staff is super sweet. Very chill place to get a bit of work done
Love this place, great coffee and tea, calm vibe, only downside is the stools at the bar are uncomfortable. Sit at the table for a nice study experience.
Best coffee in Astoria. Not a lot of seating, but it's quiet and great to focus or have a meeting if you can snag some.
Actually just had a coffee here this morning, It was delicious and well made and the service here is wonderful. Much better then the starbucks on Steinway and the Dunkin Donuts.
The best. Excellent local coffee and a nice assortment of healty and savory breakfast snacks. Price is worth it.
One of the Best lattes I've ever had:) Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!
this place is really cute! it has a nice modern aesthetic and the coffee is great!
The place is lovely, cozy and the coffee was great, exactly what you expect from a café. 10/10
probably by far the best cold brew ive ever had! their coffee is amazing!
Great coffee selection. They use a Synesso machine, multiple roasters. Good for working quietly l.
Great coffee and cool little location. Had a cheddar/bacon scone and it was AWESOME!
Best coffee shop in NYC. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. Lots of pastries, even have vegan options.
best coffee in Astoria! hands down!
A really elegant place for coffee drinkers and the staff are super nice and know their coffee.
Great coffee shop with good service and nice workspace to use complimentary wifi for your needs.
Coffee is good. High Quality coffee beans. Great Customer Service!
Always well made espresso drinks. Friendly staff with great attention to detail
This is quintessential craft coffee. They’re beans are lightly roasted, they’re espresso is dialed in. Everything else is good two but those are my main points of determining a shop that crafts coffee bevs vs. one that just serves coffee.
this coffee shop is too cute ! but not like puppy cute, like little humble village coffeeshop cute. i loved my experience and i got to try there new honey almond latte.... ah-mazing!!! will always go back when im in the area.
Good cold brew and tahini cookie 👍
My favorite coffee shop in Queens! Great third wave coffee shop with lighter roasts. Small space but a nice vibe.
Best coffee place in Astoria! Love it! Wonderful friendly staff! And great, ever changing, coffee offerings! I love the option to try coffee from new and different roasters from all over the country!
Delicious, fresh coffee served hot. Modest prices for coffee and limited pastry items. Sit at street view, bar stools to enjoy your brew or work on computer/tablet with provided Wi-Fi.
Went here for the first time today. I will be going back. The cold brew hit the spot and the biskety-scone was very tasty. If you have to drink coffee on Steinway, this is the place to do it!
Coffee was perfect! Tried their pumpkin bread; its delicious! Such a clean, comfortable atmosphere as well!
Quietly, Kinship is one of the best places to drink coffee in New York. Astoria has long lacked good coffee options, but this one really solves the problem. Baristas are unpretentious and professional, and the draw of espresso is that perfect level, even on a humid day when it is much more difficult to pull a good ristretto. Highly recommended for those with discerning palette and real love of coffee. The Four Barrel Friendo Blendo espresso in a recent visit was truly beautiful.
Miss the broadway and steinway location it was huge with a bathroom! Love this place for the coffee ambience and baristas all amazing no matter the location. My favorite coffee Spot in Astoria 🙂
Incredible coffee, super friendly service, and good donuts to boot. The ambiance is perfect for working or hanging out. Love this place.
The best coffee in Astoria. No need to go try any other place around. The place has its character for sure. Attentive and smart baristas working there. 5 star !
such an incredible experience at Kinship!! Stanley was amazing and the coffee was perfect. 100% recommend stopping by!!
Good hot chocolate and friendly service. They have Wi-Fi and some seating if you need to get work done
Maple brew is a must try and their espresso based drinks are very good! Baristas are friendly and make consistently good drinks!
Really great atmosphere with a variety of lattes and drinks to choose from as well as some choices of bites. Really great coffee, love this place!
Hip local spot. Great coffee and service. Rotating art from local artists (they lean towards photography) Limited seating but great vibe especially during off peak hours.
Great coffee and sweets!! Croissants ain't to shabby People know their coffee Teas are good too One of the best coffee places in Astoria
Great cappuccino, very flavourful. Also had a banana and walnut muffin, tasty and not to sweet. Quiet atmosphere in the morning for a short study/work session.
Best Matcha Latte I’ve had on the Steinway strip! Barista was very pleasant and the drink was skillfully made.
Cool and trendy small coffee shop with a nice set up and great atmosphere, playing good music all day. Excellent coffee varies by the day and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Solid place to get work done or hang with friends.
Friendly barista, who is pretty quick to finish orders. The place has wifi, and a nice feel to it. It's not too much of a sit and drink place, since its on the small size, but you can definitely do so on off hours.
Really great service and delicious coffee. I would recommend grabbing a coffee from here and working around their table for awhile. Their large drip brew is also a good value.
Nice small coffee shop along Steinway. Stopped by for their seasonal hot apple cider. Definitely hit the spot on a chilly day. They also have your standard selection of coffee drinks. They have some seating space available. Pricing is reasonable and quality is great. Service was friendly and quick.
Quick, smooth, and seriously well-crafted. Grabbed a to-go cup from Kinship in Astoria and it hit every note—bold, balanced, and finished with that perfect crema. You can tell the barista knows their stuff—dialed-in shot, milk steamed just right. It’s the kind of cup that makes you pause mid-walk just to appreciate it. Definitely not your average to-go coffee. Respect to the team behind the bar.
I had such a great experience at this coffee shop! They serve ceremonial grade matcha (unsweetened) with dairy-free milk options that are also sugar free made to absolute perfection and served hot, just the way I like it. I also grabbed a slice of vegan banana bread that was surprisingly delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, making it a perfect spot to relax. The woman behind the counter was so warm and welcoming, with a kind smile that added to the whole vibe. Definitely coming back!
One of my favorite places to get coffee or espresso, nice seating for people watching. Also like the different blends of retail coffee beans.
Love the environment here. Very peaceful and a great place to study and hang out! The barista was very nice and the food here was delicious. Had to get seconds! They are also very environment conscious, not wasteful, and very friendly. Good prices too!
This coffee shop had a great atmosphere, loved the design choices. The inside is bigger than other coffee shops close by. They had a nice selection of morning pastries and the merchandise was nice. If you like a Cappuccino in the morning you won't be disappointed. Loved the cup design.
the place look asthetic , i cant wait to seat indoor after all this pandemic is over . the coffee of this place taste delicious and service was quick , i will definitely stop by when i pass by this place .
Their coffee is fantastic, muffins leave a bit to be desired but the other baked goods are great
Fantastic espresso. Hands down best place I have been in this area. The vibe is perfect 👌
This kinship, has a small menu and very few pastries. But if you just want some coffee, or a cappuccino, it's perfect.
They brew stumptown hairbender coffee. It's good. Not a bad place at all
Still a neighborhood fave. Good coffee, friendly staff, and donuts from Dough.
Good place to relax with a cup of coffee and read or catch up with a friend. The don't have a ton of seating, but that has never been a problem when I've stopped in. Most importantly, good coffee.
Cozy, quaint café, with great chai latte. Only minis was one of the barista cleaning the floor and making lots of noise while moving the chairs and stools around. Could have waited until there was no one there.
Cool co-op in Astoria mostly brewing Stumptown Coffee... They also sell wholebean from Stumptown and a few other local roasters. Nice place to pop in for a quick espresso or pourover. Friendly staff, and they also have some of the rarer flavors of Synergy Komboucha for sale. Free wifi... Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that sometimes the "I'm writing the world's next great novel" demographic turns up and you won't find a seat. people who use coffee shops as free office space... Argh!
not bad but something tells me the beans are from restaurant depot. maybe im wrong but after 20mins my cappuccino smelled off and it wasn’t the milk my friends drip when i smelled it i recognized the bean brand smell
The coffee is good and I loved the rustic atmosphere. Be aware that they don’t have conventional flavors like vanilla and caramel, but they have alternatives that I found suitable. The honey almond latte was especially good.
Very pricy! However, it was good. I had the maplebrew and they gave it to me in a glass cup. The place has a nice atmosphere, and fits the typical cozy cafe expectations. However, the lack of natural light in the back takes a little bit from the experience. I’m sure if they had some windows in the back or something (skylights even?) I would have stayed longer.
Cool place, good coffee. Not the best to sit and work for hours only becaise they have a lot of tall and short stools for seating so it's not too comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. But the baristas was super friendly and the environment was great.
VERY good coffee, some of the best I've had in Queens. Cozy and cute, not a ton of seating. Free WiFi, and at least one outlet. There used to be a fridge with kombucha and hipster sodas/yogurts/cold drinks, but they removed it, so cold beverage options more limited now.
Great coffee for the area! They have wifi but no bathroom. They have a bunch of matcha drinks with added flavors like lavender, did not try but will come back. I got the matcha cookie and it was wayyyyy too sweet that I couldnt even eat it.
Everything is great minus their cold brew— very bitter and watered down. Tastes like bad Dublin iced coffee. Lattes and their specialities are usually delicious!
The coffee shop is super modern and beautiful inside. The seasonal drink, the honey latte I had was delicious, amazing quality and taste. It just took a really long time and there was confusion with my order, avoid the seasonal drinks and you’ll be fine. Great if your looking for a place to study, work or read for an hour not long.
Good place with good strong coffee. I was going there usually when i was spending more time in Astoria. I really like the coffee and the food that they have in the early morning. The staff are amazing and in the mood every time i go there. One of my favorite locationg is the hood.
The hot chocolate was average. The wifi was kinda slow. Loved the music though
More charbucks than third wave. Very disguised flavor for the coffee
Wake up Google. They now have two locations on Steinway Street for awhile now! The one near the R and M train has more seating! Check out both of them!
As a new regular customer, I always come to drink a cappuccino, and at first, I was very impressed with the latte art and the quality of the coffee. However, the last time I ordered, the cappuccino was not good. It was made by a man, and he did not make it well. It was less creamy than usual. I would give my feedback to improve making coffee and latte art, just hold the pitcher tilt the cup towards the spout twist the wrist with the pitcher. And pour rather aggressively. Along the vertical axis straight to the point where the cup is tilted.
I was at the cafe at 5 pm I order one hot coffee and some pastry the barrista give me a cold coffee when I ask for another one he look like he was doing a favor to me without say sorry he give me only 3/4 of cup maybe he thought I drink some of the cold coffee. I belive the coffe need to be little bit stronger and the pastry case with more pastry it was only 2 pastry inside. Nice cafe need just some improvement.
I really wanted to like this place. I'm so sad I didn't. Their decor was great but their cold brew tastesd like dirt and was way too overpriced. I ended up throwing it out after a few sips and heading to Starbucks. The guy behind the counter didn't really seem like he wanted to be there (I mean, we all have off days though, right?) but he did give me a really good explanation of their different types of coffees. I wish them the best and hope they sort out whatever is happening with their coffee but I don't think I'll try this place again.
This is a nice place BUT you won’t be able to do much work or study because they always play loud rap music, or other vulgar music. For the owners there is a thing on Spotify called coffee shop music it’s not meant to distract the listener it’s meant to just make a good vive to get work/study done. If the music changed I would be here all the time. I get coffee, coffee bags and pastries from here they are good but the music is not work indusive. I haven’t been to the big store but I hope it isn’t like that. For the small store again the music is so loud I can feel the vibration on the table. Aside from this they have potential to be the go-to place for coffee and get things done on a Sunday (after they change the music thing of course) if you just want to get a coffee and get out then this is the place don’t hang out here otherwise.
Terrible service- both locations. I’d rather drink Starbucks awful coffee. Check out Moa coffee on 43 and 30th ave Astoria!!!
+$1.00 for nondairy milk?! It's actually insulting. Wish I could enjoy this place, but I guess they are not interested in being inclusive and affordable to the community. $1.00?? Really? Geez.
No bathroom, but they sell a product that flushes you out. Only coffee shop I've ever been to like this. They send you across the street to a diner that HATES them for it.
Will is absolutely terrible. He treated a pregnant women, absolutely terribly. He was extremely nasty, and condescending. He is the short chubby guy with glasses. He is so Nasty, it is unbelievable. Stay clear from that guy.
Seriously the worst experience, staff was servicing coffee for regulars that came after me, regulars are blocking the counter talking to each other forever, will never come back
For huge new space, they had a paltry selection of sweet pastries at noon on a Sunday. I asked the young lady twice if she would heat up my chocolate croissant and she replied they don't normally do that. That's why I asked again and she replied the same and that the croissants were quite fresh. Wrong!! The croissant was cold and dense and the chocolate was cold and hard. THAT'S why I wanted it warmed up. So I chucked it and walked down the street to Starbucks where they have a HUGE selection of pastries and they gladly warmed up my chocolate croissant. I'll skip Kinship in the future.
There’s a short chubby white guy who wears glasses at the Steinway/30th Ave location who is quite uncomfortable to deal with and comes across condescending. He had a visitor hanging around inside(witness this a few times) which is quite uncomfortable while waiting for your drink in this pandemic situation. I had to go stand by the window almost to door to wait for my drink because his friend was taking up the area one normally waits for drinks. Also, noticed that a customer was waiting outside when she could have been inside if his friend was unnecessarily hanging around inside. Will avoid going in while he is there.
It was a tiny place, I was under the assumption that it was a bigger spot. Way too expensive, $4 for an 8oz cap that wasn’t even that good. Also the barista was playing loud vulgar music, and singing along while there were people trying to read and study 👎🏼 will not be coming back!
Very disappointed with the service this time. I requested being extra charged for an extra large latte and the guy refused to make the extra large latte. I got my coffee like that before at the same place with other guys working. Maybe he was having a bad day, but this is the hospitality industry, come on.
The worst espresso I've ever had. I know there are different ways to prepare it, but espresso, regardless of the method, is known for its aroma and intensity. Neither was the case here; it was very weak, barely any aroma, and lukewarm. The service was atrocious. When I asked where the sugar was, I only received hand gestures and no communication whatsoever. None of the chairs had backrests, making the atmosphere very uncomfortable.
