I absolutely love the how calm and cozy this cafe is!!! I’m new to the neighborhood so this is my first time coming to this cafe and honestly it was amazing. Staff were amazing and brought my smoothie right to me. Overall my experience is amazing. I would definitely come back here to study cause I did get a lot of studying done.

A great place to relax and enjoy quality coffee. The coffee is rich, fresh, and clearly made with care. They also offer delicious sandwiches , salads , bagels and refreshing fresh juice smoothies, which makes it perfect for breakfast or a light meal. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and it’s a nice bonus that you can watch live sports while enjoying your drink. Friendly staff and great service make this spot a place I’ll definitely return to.

My order is always perfect. What really sets this place apart is the people. They know my order by heart, which makes me feel so welcomed and appreciated whenever I walk in. That kind of personal touch is rare and means more than they probably realize. One time I came in right as they were about to close, and without hesitation they still made me the perfect sandwich. They’re also incredibly kind and loving toward my service dog, Benedetto, which means the world to me. It’s not just a great coffee shop—it’s a genuinely warm, welcoming space. Best cafe I been to in Queens thus far. Great location to work remotely - outlets located on tables, a back area for less distractions or minimal volume to concentrate. The variety of foods is top notch h you can have breakfast & lunch meals made fresh & hot. Staff is very friendly & welcoming to continue coming back.

One barista cafe without the Starbucks noise and overpriced fare . We enjoyed discovering this little gem of a cafe . Loft size cave like atmosphere super clean , AC / USB charging stands , relaxing vibe , mellow rock music , low priced fresh high quality provisions. The coffee was rich and creamy well done !

Nice new cafe on Steinway! We enjoyed the pastries and drinks. Will definitely go back and try more of their stuff. Seating is available but I can see it getting packed during busy hours since it’s on a major street. Service is great. The staff even brought our foods straight to our table. Food: The lemon donut was SO GOOD - melts in your mouth. Chocolate croissant was good too. BEC sandwich was alright, probably pass on it next time. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches. Drinks: Got their pistachio latte and a black coffee- both delicious and refreshing. I appreciate their pistachio latte was only $6 rather than the $10 that some other cafes on Steinway are charging. Good prices for good food and drinks!

I stopped by Ostro Café in Steinway street and tried their white mocha coffee, chocolate croissant, and egg & bacon bagel, everything was amazing! The white mocha was creamy and perfectly sweet, the croissant was soft and full of rich chocolate, and the bagel was warm, crispy, and satisfying. The café had a cozy, chill atmosphere, and the staff were super nice. Definitely a great spot for a tasty breakfast or brunch!

I love this beautiful cozy cafe good food with great ambiance. I had the smoked salmon sandwich, Matcha Latte and Fresh orange juice it was very delicious and Tasty. The Staff are really nice, friendly and welcoming and making you feel at home they delivered my food into my table as well. This spot perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends and great study spot.it has outlets, comfortable seats great Wi-Fi, peaceful and superb clean. Best spot in Astoria and highly recommended

The guy who is from Albania was so kind and made me feel so welcomed. He recommended trying the pistachio latte, which I was skeptical about at first, but when I sipped on that drink, the texture and taste were amazing. I highly recommend this place. The place is spacious, peaceful, has good lighting, and has enough tables to seat people. This place would be ideal for a coffee date or a date with your best friend.

hidden gem right on steinway street!! this one cafe has the perfect seating options for studying. want a cozy nook with no disturbance? head to the back. want a window seat with street view? yes. such a friendly and kind barista, he had the best suggestions for tea/ coffee. Music? perfect songs and soft enough to not be overpowering. fresh breakfast that the barista will serve to your table without being asked.

The café is well-appointed, thoughtfully laid out, clean, and spacious yet intimate, with an inviting atmosphere. Ostro offers bubble tea, smoothies, pastries, sandwiches, salads, lattes, juices, and more. I especially love their smoothies, lattes, and juices; but most of all, I love the service. Shilaas, one of the owners, greets every customer with a warm smile, as if welcoming guests into his own home. His hospitable and generous nature makes you want to keep coming back just to be around such good energy. Ostro also welcomes remote workers, with outlets at each table which is great place to get work done while staying connected with others. I've visited quite a few coffee shops, but I keep coming back to Ostro. Why go anywhere else when the best is right down the street?

Ostro Cafe is my go to spot for getting work done, studying, and catching up with friends. The seating is very comfortable, there are many outlets available, it’s peaceful, and most importantly the owner/staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Their coffee quality is my favorite in the neighborhood. This is my go to spot and has always been consistent with service and quality.

A calm, single-barista café that’s a great escape from loud, pricey coffee chains. We were happy to find this unique, cave-style space clean, cool, and equipped. The vibe is relaxing with soft rock playing in the background. Fresh, high-quality items at fair prices, and the coffee was smooth, rich, and excellently made. A wonderful little find!
