Great food and so many choices that are fresh and you have to try the rotisserie meat by the register, they have a chef who will cut you slices. They also have about 10 choices to choose from!
Very taste Brazilian food, me and my sister went there and really enjoy the food, breakfast also ia delicious
Amazing amazing food!! Great options for healthy vegetables, fish and authentic Brazilian dishes like cheese bread. I hope buffets like this, in Coronavirus times, continue to stick around!
best buffet in astoria food is always delicious, counter is always clean, it is cheap and delicious with a variety of everything, the food is freshly cooked and hot its almost as if my grandma made it if she were from brazil a big praise to the cooks at point brazil, thank you so much, your food is the best youre the light at the end of the tunnel in a place full of rundown restaurants
The grilled beef is off the charts. Soft and flavorful. Sometimes it is a bit salty depending on the chef. Very convenient location too.
I usually write a lot, but this time I let you experience the taste of good homemade Brazilian food. It's worth the visit!
I ordered the sirloin steak with 4 sides buy one get one free on Uber Eats with mashed potatoes, white rice, black beans, and salad. It was delicious and well worth the wait!!
One of the best deals around. Amazing, AMAZING food (the meat is the best!) for a surprisingly low rate (pay by the weight of your plate). Casual, cafeteria style, and I don't think they save alcohol.
Food was great. Buffet style but per pound. Grill meat is the best part. Chicken sausage is really good.
This is my number 1 goto location for lunch or dinner Amazing food. Comfortable. Easy to get to. Quality of the meat is to die for. Amazing dishes of your choice for a relatively cheap bill for the quality you get.
9/14/21 visited first time with friends for dinner. Cozy and friendly place . Very good food. Buffet style 7.99 per pound per plate
Brazilian fresh cooked food bar, breakfast dishes are different than after 12pm, churrascharia, salads, desserts, non-alcoholic drinks. Very reasonably priced. Always delicious and varied. Half a block from Steinway Street, on 31st Avenue. Take the R or M train to Steinway station, walk north to 31st Avenue, make a left on it, it is on your right. Enjoy!
I'm Brazilian, and I never write reviews, I try ALOT ALOT BRAZILIAN RESTAURANTS IN NJ , NY and in California too!!! This one it's the best one !!! Everything was soooo taste , soooo fresh. FOR NOW ON MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT !!!!!!!
I loved their hot and cold food bar that was relatively inexpensive, as well as the nice, relaxed atmosphere, which included comfortable seating and the food was delectable! Additionally, the service was excellent!
Loved the food here!!!! Definitely recommend. High in flavor and cooked well. Excellent!
The best food by the pound in Queens. The food is even better than most regular restaurant and their cakes and desserts are the best. Try their breakfast, it's fantastic. Brazilian Rabanadas are the highlight of the breakfast offerings.
This place is a dream. It's Brazilian buffet with hot bar and cold bar. The salad bar has a raw collard green salad that is fantastic. The hot bar has vegetables and chicken, beef and fish dishes. The real star of the this place is the churrascaria where you can get cuts of meat, sausages, chicken, etc roasting and sliced fresh for you. You place everything on a plate and pay per weight. The food is all very good and the price is fantastic. I've been on a low carb kick and this place is the BEST place to go or keto food! I wish this place existed in every town in America.
Really great buffet setup. The staff is great, always super friendly to me and my family. Can't stress how good the buffet is here. The food doesn't sit out for long, someone from the kitchen comes out and changes things out periodically.
Love the buffet having lots of veggies choice both hot and cold. The variety of meat is sufficient to make most happy. Traditional desserts with lots of passion fruit and coconut flavors. Service is always pleasant. Great go to for home cooked with no work.
This place get packed easily due to the good and tasty food they provide. Amazing to see the big selection they have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I believe they are the only one that offers a self service buffet breakfast. If you have been there for breakfast yet you missing out. A family business that have been in Astoria for years serving the community and making us Brazilian happy.
Wow this place is amazing!!! The have a serve yourself open food counter, showcasing most of what they have to offer. you can order pick up or delivery and the food will always be delivered delicious and hot. I have to admit the steam was too good and now I need to come back a few more times before this new year new meal actually kicks in hahah.
Point Brazil is not only the best Brazilian restaurant in Astoria, it is one of the best restaurants period. Especially for what you’re paying you are really getting a super deal. The second you walk in you’re greeted by the genuine smiles of the amazing servers RAFA and ANA. You can tell that Rafa and Ana love their jobs and love serving up the amazing cuisine of their beautiful country. Ana’s genuine smile is the definition of hospitality! The food is beautifully presented with every detail cared for, and the entire place is kept sparkling clean and the gorgeous decor on the walls takes you on a trip to Brazil🇧🇷. The rice is perfectly fluffy, the pao de queijo is just like what you’d have on a chilly morning in Minas Gerais 🔺, the croquette is perfectly crunchy on the inside but soft and pillowy on the inside, the vinaigrette salsa is extremely fresh with the perfect kick of acidity. Practically all of the desserts will have you going for seconds. I could go on and on and write essays about Point Brazil but you get the point: if you’re reading you simply must go. If you’re really ready to feast then go for their all you can eat buffet option. Only $39.99 for that level of quality is really a no-brainer and a deal that is practically impossible to find in NYC these days. I would give 7 stars if I could.
This is one of our favorite local places. Food tastes like it is fresh/made from scratch. Everyone we've brought here has loved it.
This is one of my absolutely favorite places to eat in Astoria! So grateful my dear friend referred me to Point Brazil. Quality meal - home cooked, nutritious, simple ingredients with lots of flavor! Sabroso
Always great variety, always fresh! I bring my daughter here and she loves the rice & beans, green beans and chicken sausage. My go to is the top sirloin and pork sausage. There's also great checken/beef stews, grilled fish and natural cashew juice! I can eat here every day.
As with allot of great places in NYC, this place is small in size but huge in food quality. It is a pay by weight of plate restaurant. All the food is laid out buffet style, so you serve yourself as much as you think you can eat and pay for the contents of your plate using a scale placed at the register. They have a fantastic selection of meats on rotisserie that I gravitate to as soon as I walk in. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking sucks but worth the hassle.
The food is great and super fresh, the service is wonderful and you will always be greeted with a smile. Thumbs up for the owner who will make sure everything is impeccable
This is the best restaurant in NYC, they have such great energy, all the people there are so nice and happy that makes the environment a place you don't wanna leave. I loved!
Do you want steak but you dont want to pay an exorbitant amount? Come on in. The nice guy in the counter will show you what is available and you can ask him to cut whatever piece you like. Do you want the lean part? Cool he got it. Do you want the fatty chared heavenly part of the top sirloin? He's giving it to you. Pair it with the great buffet selection that include pastas, salad and rice dishes. You are good to go. It doesn't get any better than that.
I eat here regularly. The salad bar always has incredible super food salads like quinoa, avocado salad, corn and bean salad, chopped kale salad etc....The hot buffet always has white and brown rice, beans, several fish selections which are always on point and never taste fishy. I normally never eat fish in restaurants but I will here. The steak is next level, the top sirloin is always cooked medium rare and to perfection. The fat on the top sirloin is so tender and explodes with flavor. They also have other great tender steaks as well like skirt steak, and sirloin roast. Lets not forget the chicken, the best chicken legs and the best chicken breast wrapped in bacon I've ever had. The chicken is never over cooked and always seasoned to perfection. None of their food is salty or over seasoned. They also serve acai bowls. This place is food paradise because you can get all of these amazing dishes for a very reasonable price. Definitely eat here!
This is our favorite restaurant on Sundays. My family and me enjoy every dish they make ,it tates like home food .. I would recommend it 100% Everything from the buffet is delicious.
The food here is so good!! I absolutely loved everything. When I ate there I was on a Whole 30 diet(which is really hard for eating out), and I had a full plate and tummy filled with tasty food. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in Astoria.
Can't here with my Brazilian friend who was visiting the city, neither of us had been here. She said the food was great, just like they eat in Brazil. Get a plate and pay per pound. Really not expensive. The feijoada and coxinha were amazing. Just take the Yellow R from Manhattan and it's a short walk to the restaurant. Very convenient.
I had a Brazilian lunch today. The picanha was really good — I loved it! They also had something breaded and delicious called pastel, a typical snack from Brazil. Thanks, guys! The price was around 25 bucks, including a drink.
Food was so good people are so nice here atmosphere is very good and calm places nice and clean and they treated me like their own I'm going to come here more and more I recommend for anybody to come here it's very good
Great food. Good selection. I like how they have the outside area for eating, give the restaurant more space as they can get crowded. They service is good, but it's self served, so this only applies to meat requests, natural juice requests, and checkout.
Food is pretty damn good for your not so average buffet! Not a ton of choices but quite a bit of variety for such a small place. It's always busy and the staff is friendly and attentive. Choice cuts on the rotisserie are always fresh because of how quick it goes. Seating is a little tight but tolerable with the right company. Keep the kids at home for this one though...
Delicious food, but a bit pricey. Might be my own fault as I'm a big guy who eats quite a bit, but the weight adds up quick, so be careful! Had a delicious filet of salmon, a small nibble of beef, brown rice, collard greens, cowboy beans, and some pretty amazing cornbread (I think there's coconut in it!!) Total was $22 for the meal
The reality of this place differs from its reviews. The taste was beyond words good. This place combines setting, cuisine and service perfectly. No line-up needed and employees work rapidly! This restaurant outperforms most city options.
As a big fan of Brazilian food I must say that this place is truly a gem, the food tasted just like you were eating in Rio de Janeiro, homemade recipes and family owned restaurant, is definitely one of my favorites now. Their Coxinhas is definitely a must!. Place was clean, organized and staff super friendly and welcoming 10/10
The pricing reflects the ingredients they use. Complementarily, the staff maintains friendly attitudes. The variety here matches everything I want. You get meaningful quantity for what you spend. Their culinary execution is always perfect.
Finally got the opportunity to come to this place and I'm salty I didn't come here sooner. It's been a minute since I've had some Brazilian food so I came here for lunch. I'm not even gonna complain about pricing in certain restaurants because it pretty much normal now. I settled on some roast beef, seafood fried rice and some veggies for the pallette. The food was heavenly, especially that cut of beef, it should be a sin for it to taste that good. The seafood fried rice was also enjoyable as well. Probably could've went with some plantains food but by how much my plate was already, I decided to forgo it for next time. The food wasn't the only good thing here, quite a good number of divine ladies on this hot Summer day was a treat for the eyes as well. Very much captured the Brazilian essence of the joint. LOL Anyway, next time I come here, I'll give their fish fillet a try. The breading looked superb on that.
So good I've tried to recreate it at home without success. The dishes show attention to detail. You'll notice the spotless conditions and brightness immediately. The service was good and prompt; and the workers were very friendly and helpful. Every part shows excellence.
It's a really great place the food is always delicious and they even have these VIP cards that they give out to people I think everyone has one but it's a nice touch it gives you like 10%... The last two times I use try to use the card though I wasn't able to cuz the lady at the register said she already weighed my food next time which I thought was a little blegggghh for lack of words
Delicious but no frills buffet and sliced to order Brazilian style roasted meats. Good price for the portion and quality
Cozy, buffet-style establishment, with a nice "home" feel. Food was good and well-priced. Staff was friendly. Will definitely be coming by more often. 😊
Yummy food. OMG. Self serve and then cutting station too. It has a community feel and the menu changes often. When you are done eating take a slice of lemon coconut or flan. If I recall right it was a good value for your money.
It could be better. Ate here a few times. I try everything. This place is like 3.7 stars. Food is slightly above avg. If your near by deff worth it. To travel to there better places in queens.
Great place for take out (I'm sure dining in is great too if you're looking for a quick bite, plenty of seating) -- the buffet items are always fresh and there are plenty of options both on the healthy and comforting side, depending on your mood.
Happend to be really hungry and passing by and decided to go. Despite the fact that we ate way past lunchtime, food was good. Great Brazilian flavors. Def will consider coming back and will recommend it. Optimo! Unfortunately I did not have time for pictures. #nexttime
Delicious grilled meats! Everything was freshly prepared even though it's a pound by pound buffet style. I dig the new decor and it makes it really easy to navigate around to get your food efficiently. The staff nice even though there is minimal contact, since most of it is self-service. You go in, grab a seat, pick up a plate, grab some food on it, pay the cashier, and dig in your amazing food. They have a good selection and is balanced out both on meat and veggie options. Please do visit this place. I'm sure it won't be the first time I come here.
There's a Carving Station behind the counter that nobody talks about but you can get amazing meet carved to order. Everything is sold by the pound. There are a lot of tasty dishes to select from. Great place for clean wholesome food... nice ambience
The food is buffet style you can pick salads, several entrees and behind the counter is the meat portions. The food in general was average. You pay for your food by how much the weight.
It's an inexpensive place to eat, Barbeque chicken was good, but the medium sirloin was dry and ribs were raw. The overall experience was not bad,but could be better.
Used to be My favorite Brazilian buffet restaurant ☺️ I’ve been a customer since it opened. Quality has changed alot over the years and it got so expensive I just couldn’t afford to go anymore. Meat quality also went down drastically from when they first started. Man it used to be so gooood when they first started :)
Food is laid out in a buffet style set up. So what this means is depending on when you get there some things can be fresh out the kitchen and sometimes you can tell it has been sitting for a while. Unfortunately for me everything seem like it was from 2 days ago. They have a decent amount of meat slow cooking but even that was meh. They did take covid seriously providing gloves so that you can get your food. And plastic dividers separating tables. The food was nothing to write home about. It was meh
I think is good but too expensive. I have tried more Brazilian places and this is the most expensive I have ever tried. Compare it with other buffet Brazilian restaurants.
Decent. Price goes by weight. Short rib could be better, not tender enough and a little dry. Sirloin and Oxtail was good. Service was wonderful.
Quality went down and a lot of the buffet choices we enjoyed are gone. We have not seen the older lady who used to run the place in quite a while. This may explain why. Also, the rotisserie menu is no more. Cost per person went through the roof for the buffet, especially compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood. We were the only customers when we went for lunch on a Saturday. Increasing prices while decreasing quality is rarely a recipe for success in a competitive market.
I came all the way from Manhattan to eat at Point Brazil. I checked Google Maps and it showed the restaurant as open. I also checked Instagram beforehand. When I arrived the restaurant was closed with a sign saying “collective vacation”. Very disappointing
I'm Not the type to leave reviews but this place is not worth the price !! Meat was not worth it !! I'm a fan of the Brazilian buffet and I can assure you there's better Brazilian buffets nearby.
I don't like it anymore. There's a very 'loud' family that's always there whenever I try to get my meal. The atmosphere just isn't great anymore.
If you do not want your patrons to cut uneven pieces of the chicken pie, put a proper serving spoon and not that shovel that is larger than the squares. Or write a small sign saying that is sold by pieces and/or do not mix with the food that has to be weighed at the scale. You were rude. I spent over 40 dollars plus tips. I won't come back. Your food is delicious, just to let you know.
I ordered the sirloin picanha bowl, half of the steak was pure fat. i normally don’t put reviews on here, but do they think i’m a dog? the rest (beans, cassava flour, etc) was alright. i expected more for the price
I’ve been a regular customer, often coming by myself or with friends, and I’ve always appreciated that the food was good, fresh, and reasonably priced. I used to spend around $12–$14 with tip and get a balanced meal with good protein, salad, and carbs. I completely understand that businesses evolve — prices go up, quality improves, and growth comes with new costs. However, in the past 4–5 months, the prices have increased significantly while the portion sizes seem smaller. For example, this salad was $20, and even considering packaging costs, it doesn’t feel like a fair value anymore. The owners and staff are always kind and welcoming, which is something I truly appreciate. My feedback comes from wanting to see this place continue to succeed — if prices need to go up, I’d just encourage making sure the portion sizes or overall value reflect that increase or change the business model.
I went there, even knowing and remembering that the butcher is always in a bad mood. The friend i went with told me to be ready for it,but i was shocked,,,my friend was really far from the true, because he was twenty times worst than i was told. No manners,i guess he is always like that, The food is excellent, its a shame we go to a place to enjoy eating out,but someone gives you a reason to dont enjoy it . Maybe he is homophobic ,or only Hates his job. Sorryvfor the owners, managers of the place ,but i have to write about it.. Is 20/20 when everybody order on line,,,maybe its a better idea to dont have to deal with situations like this
Their food are usually raw and uncooked specially their chicken, and the owner is rude, she thinks we eat their food for free. Even she tells you which food you cant have or how much you can it if it because they need to keep them for other customers. The way she treats customers is unprofessional and unethical.
Food is fine, typical brazilian buffet in queens, just beware of other things. Cashier clerk didnt even give me the receipt until I had to ask for it, that seemed kinda shady. I haven't been here for awhile, they used to charge 5.99lb for salad only, and 7.99lb for meat+salad. I just got charged 7.99lb for my salad with no meat. The receipt indicates as "cold/hot buffet", whatever that means, must be new. My last time visiting or bringing my family there.
I buy 1 and get another for free... The meat was very dry and hard, beans and rice was not salted and the mayo salad was terrible.
Very bad service, not friendly and my chicken is pink in the middle. Never going back again. I don't know what happened before it was the best friendliest service.
They sell regular steak for picanha, not legit brazilian, much better brazilian food other spots
Food is expensive and not that good. Has gone so downhill from what I remember
I am sad to provide an update. 6 years ago I would have given it 5 stars and this is what I wrote back then "Fast, tasty and convenient Brasilian Food!" A week ago I stopped by and looks like the owner changed as well as the cooks. Everything was untasty in the buffett and they gave me a slice of picanha...that's it...this place is over
This is definitely not a Brazilian place! OMG. The meat was super dry and hard, the rice and beans without any salt or seasoning seasoning. I end up eating only the collard greens that was also ok. Clean place and the staff was also super friendly but for food! …never again.
Terrible food, don’t recommend it neither to my worst enemy
DO NOT ORDER HERE I placed a $300 order for delivery and they included less than half the order. When I called to find out what happened they refused to help me over the phone. I had to drive there in person and they wouldn’t compensate with either the food that was missing or my money back. I have never left a review for a restaurant but feel obligated to make sure no one is scammed like I was. I will never go back and suggest you don’t either.
What they have on line is totally different when you get there, food nasty period, atmosphere horrible, service garbage
THE FOOD GAVE ME FOOD POISONING THIS PLACE IS NOT SANITARY! THEY NEED A HEALTH INSPECTION!!! FOOD WAS MID
I had a terrible experience. I’ll never make my own plate again, and I ordered a natural juice that was basically just water. I ate normally, and it was my only meal of the day. Hours later, I started feeling sick, vomited several times, and had a horrible stomachache. I probably ate something from the restaurant that wasn’t fresh and was spoiled. Aside from that, the service was just okay.
I went there today with my girlfriend. Somehow each plate came out 38$. So I end up paying 70$ and something with two soda guaranas included. Overprice food for regular food. Would not recommend to anyone
Burger was stale and cold. Coxinha and onion rings were overcooked and dripping in grease. Onions rings were also $8 and barely came with any. Missing items too. Would've been 0/5 if possible
Overpriced, old, and dry food with no seasonings other than a copious amount of salt. The staff has poor English and all menus are in Portuguese. There are more Brazilian aunties hanging out and gossiping at any given time now than customers and this is the reason why. The single worst restaurant I've been to in Astoria.
I ordered from this restaurant and was very disappointed. A portion of my order was missing, and nothing was communicated until I contacted Uber myself. The rest of the food tasted old, and the rice was definitely not fresh. Overall, this was a poor experience.
I paid $65 ($58 without the dessert) for a meal for one. Rice, beans, 2 small pieces of beef, farofa, salad and 1 spoon of puree and bananas + 2 brigadeiros. DO NOT BUY THE BUFFET, this is supposed to be affordable Brazilian food but it’s not. Doesn’t help to “matar a saudade” I compared to prices of their PF on Uber and buffet is so much more expensive for less food. On top of that, they didn’t wrap all the food and all the sauce spiled in the bag and the beef filet was only bone and fat, not even an ounce of meat at the end.
The place is cold. No heat. The service- people do not speak English at all and communicating is really hard if you do not speak Portuguese. The buffet price was exorbitant. $77 dollars for 2 people not counting tip and on one dish meat didn't come. Food tasted like a dirty rag This place used to be good. Not anymore.
