Went here first thing after picking up a rental car at LaGuardia. Amazing food and such a nice clean dining area. Had high chairs for the baby and very very friendly staff.

The food was amazing, the pork was seasoned beautifully with Rosemary, lemon and other great Greek flavors and was charred to perfection on the grill. The pita was soft sand warm. The service was excellent and everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and polite. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The food is what brought us here -- it always, always hits -- but it's everything that goes with the delicious dishes that keep us coming back, literally on a weekly basis. The relaxed, cozy atmosphere and beyond friendly service is out of this world. We feel exceptionally special every time we go. Our daughter (who recently turned one) is always so well taken care of, it's beyond thoughtful what they for her when we dine here. The family that runs this establishment deserves all the 5-star reviews in the world. It's truly a peerless experience at Taste of Gyro, I can't recommend it enough and will probably be annoyed when I walk in one day and there aren't any tables available because they're so popular (but again, they unequivocally deserve it!)

Best gyro in Astoria. That’s a big claim to make, but this place is GREAT. Consistently delicious food and the service is always really friendly. I always get the lamb gyro pita and the Greek salad and my gf gets the chicken. It’s delicious every time. This is the kind of good local spot you wanna see do well. I’m not exaggerating when I say these people have and maintain a high standard. Quality ingredients, great service. No drop off in quality from dine-in to delivery, that’s tough to find. You think you know a better gyro spot, come to this place and change your mind.

Absolute delicious food! Flavorful and tasty. Although it takes some time to get your food, when your plate is served it's all worthy, fresh and homemade food takes time. The plates are generously served. Some of them you can share.

Old School Super Greek Husband and Wife restaurant with homemade everything. I would prefer to keep it a secret but because they are off the beaten path I also want them to thrive so I will have to share the the gyro is the real thing and you won't be able to finish it. Their Melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) is the best I ever had and Panajotis makes a mean Frappe. Must visit. You will thank me later!

Just picked up a pork gyro platter from here and it was amazing. The pork was fresh and delicious, and the fries were honestly the best fries I've had in a long time. They were perfectly crispy and tasty. The staff was also super friendly and the place itself looks beautiful inside!

My friend and I came here last week to eat a gyro and it was delicious and one of the best I've had. We came back to eat one again until we got told about the special of the day and decided to try it out. It was phenomenal and a great dish, the stuffed peppers. We hope they make it again and can't wait to try other specials they may have.

Perfect little neighborhood gyro shop. We are frequent customers. Very residential area, quiet and relaxed. The food is great, it always tastes very fresh. Large portions. Our usual waitress Violetta is attentive, friendly, and wonderful. We live a block away and they are good neighbors and a wonderful addition to the community. Only drawback when visiting is that parking can be a challenge.

Cute Greek Restaurant tucked away on a residential Street in Astoria! Food is good. We had a chicken souvlaki pita and Pork Gyro Platter. The pork was lean and flavorful, the chicken was juicy and good as well. French fries seasoned with paprika. Moderately new place, as I remember this place being some type of Social club.

Looked up best Greek food in Astoria on the Google browser and came across this gem. Another tasty and family owned Greek restaurant in Astoria! Totally recommend it!!! We got the Lamb Kebab platter, lamb gyro, Greek salad, grape leaves, and of course lots of tzatziki sauce. They also have Greek soda! We will be back!

We had such a great experience at Taste of Gyro - my son has allergies that can made restaurants challenging. The kitchen and staff went out of their way to make sure his dinner was okay for him to eat, and were so kind and generous - the food was absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

We ordered lunch for four, two platters and two appetizers and we were all full after it. The chicken souvlaki platter was very fresh, juicy and crispy, and included pita, lemon potatoes and salad. The spicy feta dip was unique and tasted great, I recommend it for feta lovers. If there’s one thing I would ask to be added to the menu, it would be some vegetarian main hot platter option or replacement. That being said, The dips and lemon potatoes made up for it. The service is great and it’s a sweet family run business. Made me feel like I was back in Greece. Eucharisto!

Portions were generous and the flavors really hit the spot. This is exactly what a gyro should be. This. This is the place you want to go to for gyro. Amazing. Double amazing and the platter was piled so high with meat that despite being a 240 lb man that hadn't eaten all day, I could not finish it. And the husband and wife team that run it? Unbelievably hospitable and kind. I will be taking my wife down for dinner (and we live up in Hudson, NY) because it was that good. Oh, and they make an amazing baklava too!

Their Gyro is so authentic, it’s honestly better than what I’ve ever had in Greece (which is a lot). Even the service is authentic Greek (a little slow-paced, lol). I only write reviews when I love a place and this fits the bill. Quiet little shop run by mom and pop, and so delicious. Fresh RED juicy tomatoes and fantastic homemade tsaziki sauce. Crispy French fries on top give it away as truly authentic. Better than the hectic chaos of any place near Ditmars or Steinway. Make the trip: you won’t be disappointed.

It was pour raining and they gave me a plastic bag (love that they use paper bag) for my food and a cardboard to use as umbrella 😅😊.
