Absolutely love Garcia's best Mexican restaurant fast food I've ever been to you from Santa Maria to Paso not only is there food great but you can't beat the service always welcomed with smiling faces and thank you. When you leave great family great food keep it up

*UPDATE: In my most recent visits, all customers were wearing masks! Thank you, Garcia's! Try the enchilada sauce -- it is amazing! ORIGINAL REVIEW: On at least 2 visits I have seen customers not wearing a mask in Garcia's. The staff all wear masks, so I don't know why the person working the register does not ask customers to also wear a mask. If you have a sign that says masks required, you must enforce it. If they refuse, ask them to leave. Wearing a mask is a state mandate, common courtesy, and the safe thing to do during a pandemic. My meal is ruined if I have to worry about possibly being infected just from eating it. And now I will think twice about patronizing this business that I want to support, because I worry that I am putting my health at risk.

Great hole in the wall Mexican food. Burritos will put you in a food coma, so if you're looking to count calories keep moving. Best enjoyed when it's 100+ degrees outside

Usually just get the veggie burritos (cause I'm Veg) but they're really good and my family likes everything else they've gotten here too. Friendly service, my go-to for takeout Mexican food and good for sit down too

I ordered one fish and one shrimp taco. Grilled. $5.99 each. Everything was prepared perfectly. The fish was moist not dry. Good portions. Double corn tortillas. Clean bathroom. Friendly people behind the counter. Delicious Jamaica drink. Decent price. If I didn't live in San Diego, I'd come here all the time :-)

Well I just had a couple of street tacos here and I have to say bullseye. They were so median so fresh and so tasty and the salsa from the salsa bar was excellent and do I have to say it okay I will I'm a fan of this place. And I eat a lot of Mexican food around town as you know there are many choices, and Garcia's is a good choice. The people are so nice the food is cooked right and I'm coming back

Best Mexican restaurant in SLO County!

6 guys came knocking at their door, they opened up 20mins for us. Wow they delivered the best Mexican burrito my team and have had! Highly recommend this small secret to everyone passing through. Excellent food!

Absolutely my favorite take home Mexican food in Atascadero. Pricing is good for the quantity of food. Quality of food is top notch. This is not a fancy place, so don't get dressed up for the occasion. Very friendly staff, bilingual and always hustling. During feeding hours this place will be busy. Wait your turn, it's worth it.

Garcia's is unique. Their food is seasoned in a more regionally specific style which is really refreshing and unexpected. They use quality ingredients and have multi-award winning tamales. There aren't many tables indoors. Three booths and two small tables. We usually order to-go. The staff is friendly. A burrito order can be made quickly, however it does take a little bit longer for a fajita style or grilled meat since they do each order fresh. No soggy vegetables! Highly recommend.

I love this place! Whenever my girlfriend and I are too tired to cook (often!) we always order take-out from Garcia's. Their burritos are delicious! Especially the picadillo burrito. It's a lot of food for a very reasonable price!

The tastiest Mexican food I've EVER had. I heard they won at the Atascadero tamale festival so I went to taste for myself. Not only was the tamale delicious, but the taco and the enchilada was very tasty. I think it's their sauces that give all their food an amazing taste.

Food was very tasty. Portions are rather big. Good place for someone very hungry or willing to share. One of the more authentic places in the area. Food has a "home cooked" taste. Definitely will come back next time I'm in the area.

Real good burritos. Get the Grande chicken. Its excellent. Place is small,and packed at Lunchtime. It's a very popular spot on Atascadero pretty much all the locals know about it. You'll pay about 8 for a big burrito and 10 for a huge burrito with everything on it. Homemade chips and salsa are free with your order. They work fast and the food is real good

Best authentic real Mexican food I have tasted in this area! The horchata is amazing and they remix/make it on the spot which ends up tasting fresh and homemade unlike other places that use the powder with the machine. I recommend the nachos de asada, love the authenticity of this place 😋

I've been going to Garcia's for about 12 years and have yet to be disappointed by anything they make. Their large burritos are about the size of an infant and SO good. Picture is the large Pollo Asado burrito. Lasted me 3 days.

I'm out of town from Portland.We have great gourmet food but this is hands down has the best Breakfast burritos you could eat and they are huge the dont skimp on the goods.Not only that 100% will make it your way small is better when it comes to this place, there is outdoor sitting.🥰

We have been going to Garcia's Mexican Restaurant for years and we have always enjoyed the food there. The owner Carlos is very friendly and introduces himself with a friendly handshake. We usually get one of their gigantic burritos but we've liked everything we've tried there. The inside is very clean and has an attractive atmosphere. We recommend giving Garcia's Mexican Restaurant a try.

Are you looking for the best Mexican restaurant in Atascadero? This is the place. With some of the best portions and the nicest staff, Garcia's has been serving quality food for years. My favorite dishes are the nachos and the rice, bean, and cheese burritos. I am a vegetarian, and the beans do have some meat taste, but honestly, I'm not a great vegetarian, and I love the taste. Great for take out or dining in, they get your food out fast and always with a friendly "sup bro."

This place has great Mexican food. It also serves it in good quantity with very reasonable prices. The flavors in the different dishes are outstanding. I had sopitos/Gordian, which are not normally served in Mexican restaurants. The tacos my partner had were outstanding. Everything here is good.

These guys are super friendly and their food is the bees-knees. I haven't found anything on the menu I didn't like. I overheard the owner tell someone about a new location opening up. That would do them a great service. I'd definitely consider dining in if there was more room, but Garcia's gets packed up quite easily.

These guys are Awesome. After we got our food, heading out to the truck, my daughter dropped her phone and lost it in the bushes. We looked and looked with no luck. I went inside and asked if they could look at the surveillance tape to see where the phone landed. It was dark and raining at the time. Long story short, they checked the tapes and helped us look for the phone and we found it. Thank you to the crew at Garcia's Restaurant. You guys are Awesome!

New layout for us, we had not been there for awhile. Difinately more room. Same great food. The service gal seemed a little shy or very cautious. Food was oven hot, fresh, ample portions and timely. The service folks were mostly young (no problem), they just seemed a little hesitant to jabber with the customer (us) about food, service, amenities etc. I hope they're not intimated by our prehistoric age or lack of cultural details. Food was excellent, good clean facilities and priced fairly. We'll be back.

Ordered Carnitas burrito and added sour cream and jalapeños. Dined in and had free chips and salsa. 4 types of salsa. Tried them all and enjoyed the different flavors. Burrito came out fast and was huge. Good portion of rice, beans and carnitas.

My husband and I eat here about once a month. I usually get the chorizo breakfast burrito. They are delicious with so much flavor. This evening I got a bowl and he got enchiladas. Their food is fantastic, the area is always clean and staff are top notch. This is definitely one of our favorite places!

Go to place for Mexican food. I've been numerous times but first review. I got the carne asada Quesadilla to go. It was delicious and packed with steak. They have a chips and salsa bar. So you can get whatever salsa you want. From pico de gallo to the spicy salsa. There are jalapeños you can add. There are chips under a heating lite. They have beer and soda to choose from. I highly recommend the nachos. They are big enough to spilt and still be full.

Picked up a to-go lunch, the chilaquiles are a favorite of mine. The tortilla & salsa bar are a very good way to customize food to your taste.

Our burritos we ordered to go we're good. Make sure you ask what all they put in burrito so you are happy. I had to ask if they put in cilantro and onions and they said no. I asked if they would and they did. Chips are the kind I really like. Nice people. Oh.. clean bathroom. Small 1 person but clean at 10am

Its been a while since I've had a taco and had to take a pause after the first bite. I was not expecting the tacos I got today at all. I got 5 chicken tacos with no onions. Every single taco was maxed out with meat and topped fully with cilantro, sour cream and salsa. It was amazing. Thank you. :)

So the place is a little hole in the wall on El Camino Real in Atascadero. So I expect it to be really good. The place was busy once I walked in. A decent size condiment bar and clean. I ordered the super nachos and a carnitas taco. The taco was quite flavorful and made me regret not ordering more. The nachos themselves didn't;'t have any Mexican flavor to it, if that makes sense. But were even crappier for just normal nachos. I would go back but for tacos, not the nachos.

My 1st visit, so I can't really give the 5. My pastor burrito was really good. Judging by the number of people coming in, I'm figuring this place is popular. I'll be going back and let you know more on my return visit. Since my 1st visit, I've been back 3 other times and tried some other things on the menu. All have been great. Not in the area all the time, but I'll be going back for sure.

I really enjoy chili relleno burritos that have both rice and beans and theirs is really good. The birria was not quite to our personal taste, but I know that flavors vary by region and the chef preparing it. Garcia’s relocated a few years ago to a larger building and seems to be thriving. Definitely a place I return to for my burrito. Service was excellent. Did not have to ask for a correction on something, they were very proactive. That impressed me and I let the employee know that I appreciated them.

Its adequate, not the best ir worst Mexican food. I got one sope and it was big enough for me. My husband got the birria burrito said it was good and big enough to fill him up. The cashier was nice. They don't have waiters you order with cashier and they bring the food. Family style restaurant. Bathrooms where clean.

The restaurant is very Clean and the employees seemed very tentative to the place filling all the sides and bringing fresh chips to the chip and salsa bar etc. The ordering speed and efficientcy was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the meal and everyone was full! Win win!

I have eaten here over the years since they opened a long time ago. Today was the first time in over a year. Carne asada burrito with everything on it. 4 stars. Excellent flavor, quantity, and doneness. Minus a star because of gristle in the meat. I can't stand gristle! I'll retry in a month and see if the gristle remains or if it was a one off.

Fresh flavors and friendly vibes! Stopped by Garcia’s and went for the large carne asada burrito….made it wet for a little extra. The flavor was great, though next time I might skip the wet style since it didn’t quite justify the extra $4 for me. Still, the burrito was solid and satisfying. The salsa bar and chips were awesome! Fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they use quality ingredients across the board. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re craving Mexican food in Atascadero!

It's a pretty plain place, your basic Mexican restaurant with a salsa bar. They serve hamburgers here too. The salsa picante was hot! I liked the chicken taco was big and full but with no sauce. They had a table devoted to Dia de Los Muertos, kinda cute. Need more focus on the rice!

Love new location. Enjoyed chip and salsa bar. The have Coke fountain and assorted bottled beer. Very quick service. My partner enjoyed the combo plate with hard shell taco. I was looking forward to the famed chili relano and tamale. The masa was firm and dry the chili relano I like everything but the batter outside. Rice and beans are comfort food. I would come back again.

Few Mexicans out of millions in California have a self-serve salsa bar. Food is..... eh... Mexican best...

Love the vibe. Delicious and inviting salsa bar. Salsas are all different and flavorful. Enchilada sauce was not traditional. Rice was soggy. Mexican rice is not hard to make. Loved friendly staff. Restaurant has a big potential to be great.

I gave this place 3 stars because of the service and the restaurant (building). However, the food is not my cup of tea. Probably my own preference but I got the chile relleno and enchiladas. The sauce tasted like marinara and everything was super dry. The sauce on the relleno was chunky like meat sauce. The carne asada was pretty good. Again maybe just my preference.

I used to love this place. Sadly since they moved it's gone downhill for me. Prices have gone up, which was expected, but the service has gone way down and as you can see in the photo their $14.00 large burrito is mostly rice. Super bummed to lose a favorite burrito place.

Had the Barrera burrito and the clove was over the top nasty. Did not care for the overall rice and beans. It just seems so non-authentic it was just plain non-mexican.

Ordered a carne asada burrito and the Meat was fatty and had very little flavor. The chips and salsa War very hard thick chips and salsa was Bland tasting. Not what it used to taste like they've really gone downhill in quality.

This place is a disgrace to The Mexican culture. They’re food is flavorless. I don’t how people in the area can even consider this as Mexican food. Taco Bell is more Mexican than this. I wouldn’t even allow my dog to eat here!!!! This place would have been out of business with in a month in Fresno. Please stay far far away from here!!! P.s I had to throw it all up!!!!!

Not good at all. Got the chicken burrito and it gave me Hershey squirts. I wasn't the only one with the squirts, everyone in our group had them too. The rice was dry and the refried beans looked like lumpy melted ice cream. I have never had a flour tortilla that was tough, as if they had reheated them up in the microwave. Their avocado sauce(it isnt Guacamole because it is light green and liquidy) wasn't good at all. Overall I wouldn't recommend.

Ordered wet carne asada burrito with red sauce. No flavor just a very tomato base flavor. Not a fan. Not taste of seasonings on anything ,bland.No napkins ,fork or chips. For $32.00 this was a huge fail. with my DoorDash order.. I will doctor it up and try to salvage this waist of money on poor quality.

Eat at your own risk. This place is beyond disgusting. I ordered a plate with enchiladas and a shredded beef taco took three bites sat the taco down and four soaked and bloated flies fell out. I threw it out at that point and waited for the three day party that ensued. Food poisoning is never fun, but there is just that extra special feeling you get with 110psi diarrhea and the simultaneous need to vomit for an unyielding 8 hours. But hey this was so bad that even when the runs ends.. That just marks the begining of three days off swelling and hives.. All that said, you do you.. Just keep in mind when you order, what you've eaten the last couple meals and give some thought to exactly how you want to relive those meals.. Fondly? or the latter? There has to be better food in town than that... Happy eating!

My wife is SO MAD so this is her review: “My husband drove 30 minutes to pick up our food. We were missing 3 items, 3 other items were wrong and it was cold. The only thing they got right was the kids bean rice and cheese burritos. Spent $90 on this meal and they were unwilling to make this right for us. We will not be returning. Bummer. “ I will attach pictures of missing drinks When we asked if they had an option to make it right they didn’t have any reasonable offers. They said the best they could do is have me drive 30 mins to get what I already paid for and maybe something extra. They refused to let me get a refund even though I was willing to return the entire meal!!! This is the worst customer service we have experienced in a long time. Also they supposedly don’t have a manager or we weren’t allowed to talk to them because they weren’t there conveniently They claimed we could get a refund on door dash but we didn’t order it from door dash so there was no way to get our money back from them. They basically stole our money, time and ruined our dinner because my wife was so upset

Guys ... What the heck... I just tried to eat a LB Asada burrito and I swear to you 90% of the asada was chewy cartilage. I can deal with a bite or two but like all of it?? Seriously disappointed bro. Whoever wrapped this thing should have known better.
