Hidden gem connected to a hotel right around the corner from Ponce City Market (5 minute walk). Food was excellent, drinks were very good, atmosphere was to live for and the live music was an experience! They have happy hour, brunch and other events each week. I'm definitely putting them on my rotation list to visit again!
Stayed in Atlanta for Thanksgiving weekend and i went to Mrs Ps for their Thanksgiving event. I was impressed; an unexpected delightful meal and evening.
I really enjoyed myself at MsP . This place is beautiful and easy to locate! I meet Tiffany Washington and Anthony Garland we all talked and share information about ours! These young people are fantastic fabulous and friendly! If you ever in the are 551 Ponce Deeon go inside you won't be sorry treat your try new restaurant and meet new people! Every person there was on the same page for excellent customer service! I'll be back Velma with some friends
Was staying at the Wylie Hotel so I stopped into Mrs. P’s for a quick snack and was blown away! The place has such a cozy, nostalgic vibe. The service was top-notch. Now, about those deviled eggs… oh my goodness. SO garlicky, in the best possible way! They were absolutely packed with flavor, and I was this close to ordering a second round. Perfect spot for a snack or a light bite. If you’re in the area, don’t sleep on this spot!
Fabtastic spot to hit before City Winery show. Creative cocktails, friendly and helpful staff, innovative food. Definite good time.
I absolutely loved my visit here last night. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I even overheard the bartender crafting a drink for another guest and ensuring it was something they’d thoroughly enjoy. Great service. The ambiance brings a sexy, low lit vibe to ponce. Love it. The food was amazing. My highlights were the crispy oysters and my New York strip. Would definitely recommend !
Took my mom for her birthday! Great time for us to come after AM rush 12:45. Great service from Marcus. the food was excellent! Mom's coffee is delicious, and my paper plane deserves 10 on its own. Will definitely be back.
AMAZING, the food was absolutely delicious. My cocktail was a 10. And Khriss my waitress so sweet and accommodating it really made my experience. I will definitely be back! She makes this restaurant something I will come back for!!!
The food here is incredible, and we even had the pleasure to meet the chef. We came into the establishment for a birthday event, which seemed to overwhelm the staff but they kept their cool and provided excellent service. My partner had the meatloaf, which was cooked perfectly with a sweet, delicious sauce on top. I had the roasted chicken dish, and it was reminiscent of Thanksgiving with great flavors. I also had a side of brussel sprouts that had hints of sweetness and char that made it a well-rounded dish. However, the absolute best dish that I tried was the duck burger—succulent, juicy, flavorful. It was one of the most amazing burgers I’ve ever had. The crowd also raved about the crab cakes, but I didn’t get to try them…perhaps I will on my next visit. This little hideaway is PACKED with great dishes. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. Try it. Oh, and there’s valet. Just pull up!
Coffee was good, brunch was delicious. They were understaffed, but service was friendly and very hospitable. We had the French toast, overnight oats, and pimento cheese sharable. Would recommend!
Been wanting to go here for some time and man it was amazing. The valet is free the first two hours. The ambiance is great and so cute. Friendly server and I had the steak frites for lunch as well as the countess cocktail. Both exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to go back and try brunch (or get the steak again!)
Had a lunch with one of my friends I haven't seen in 30 years. The service was excellent. We had the place to our selves. Food was nice and good presentation.
I rarely dine at on site restaurants when I stay at hotels, but this place really cares about the food, the way any upscale restaurant should. They don't get sidetracked by thinking that because it's located in a hotel the food could be hit or miss. Excellent service and food each time I went. It feels informal but it hits all the service markers, anyway. Former chef speaking and current hotel industry professional. I'd go back frequently if I lived closer.
We had a lovely happy hour at Mrs. Ps - the service was great, the food was good and the atmosphere is laid back, upscale and excellent. Check out Gin and Tonic Friday
Had a GREAT time and our server Tim was very attentive. Nice kickoff to celebrate my birthday 🥳
We loved our experience, we dined as a group of 4 during their brunch on Sunday. It was a delicious meal and great service. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.
Great Food !! I visited over a year ago and didn’t like it at all but this time it was really good food. Credit where credit is due !! I will be back !!
The restaurant was nice and quite really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were nice however the valet service was top tier. The young man Ken was absolutely amazing very knowledgeable and professional.
Small Boutique Hotel Good Food and Great Service We tried Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for couple Days during our stay.
We had a great stay at the Wylie Hotel. We had two great meals at Mrs. P’s. Our server Damaris was very friendly, outgoing, and had a great personality. We can’t thank the entire Wylie staff enough for their great Hospitality!!
I love this spot so much. It's very elegant and sophisticated inside, it makes you feel special. The service is of hotel quality and they take their jobs seriously. The drinks are so fun and the bar is very creative. They laid out Easter eggs on Easter and we got to name a drink after ourselves for a month, so they like little surprises. The food is incredible. They have the best chicken sandwich I think I've ever had. Everything they serve is thoughtfully sourced and it really comes through in the flavor. Definitely put them on your list!
I really struggled to find the perfect venue for my grad dinner, then last minute I called Mrs P and was put in contact with Trinity. Trinity helped me plan such a lovely evening. We reserved the rooftop. When it got too hot to stay outside, Trinity and her team moved the whole party set up to the indoor area. We had a few hiccups, but they were all resolved so quickly and with so much grace. We were able to hook up to speakers to play some music, have balloons delivered, and bring our own dessert with no issues at all. I am so happy I booked Mrs P. Our waiters were amazing and so sweet. I can’t recall both of their names, but big shoutout to them! My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Trinity was super attentive and took the stress out of planning. She really radiates warmth and kindness. I would definitely host a large group there again. Thank you Trinity and team! Almost forgot to mention: after the hiccups, we were given complimentary champagne & my Mom's meal was comped . Customer service so good I can barely remember what went wrong 😂😂 10/10 service for sure!!
Mrs. P’s is always the bar I visit when I’m in town. Reese has been my bartender for the last 6 times and always provides the best service. She can make any drink and they never disappoint. It’s always a fun time when Reese is there!
Reese was such a wonderful hostess. We are really appreciated her. This was an amazing experience and I would love to come back and visit the bar all the time seriously have a wonderful fire pit and it was really really nice.
Wow, Go see Tim! Service was amazing. Food was great but he really made this place one of nut favorite local spots. Inflation makes utilities value where you spend your money. This is a great treat with treatment . Thank you Tim.
Had a fantastic late lunch experience here today. The service from Jeffrey was excellent, the food was very good and every staff member we encountered was pleasant. It feels like everyone here at The Wylie Hotel loves their job and it translates to the service, food, valet..everywhere!!! A gem of a place. We will definitely be back.
I cannot thank Chef Matthew & his talented staff enough for such a great dining experience and meal. The minute we arrived I felt like I was a welcomed guest. His attention to our wants and needs was above and beyond. We had the special tonight “scallops risotto” and it was delicious. Shout out to Miss Benz who was our server and bartender. This truly is a place where everyone knows your name and cares! Can’t wait for my next meal at Mrs. P. You guys are making Atlanta proud!!!
Incredible! Khriss and Tim truly impressed us. My boyfriend and I had been riding our motorcycles all day, searching for a spot to unwind, and we found them at the bar. It was astonishing to see them effortlessly handle a large influx of customers working for las which we had a great time chatting with, all while still managing to give us their undivided attention and ensuring we had a great time. We will definitely be returning!
Such a cool restaurant! Terry, our server, was so fun to chat with and so accommodating. The atmosphere is dark and enchanting. We will be back for sure!
The friendliest staff! Food and beverage were good, just a little overpriced in my opinion. Granted, it’s fairly standard pricing for a hotel restaurant.
What began as a lovely Easter Sunday brunch, took a turn. But Timothy and the bar manager rectified things, so in the end we left satisfied with our experience. We arrived and we were quickly seated. The food is delicious! We started with hot tea and pastries, brussel sprouts, and truffle fries. Service was a little delayed as our server seemed to pick up more tables. But we finally got our meals and they were equally savory and appetizing! Accommodations were made for food sensitivities, and we even got a nice Easter egg treat!
Great food, service was slow, place seemed under staffed. Mozzarella appetizer was tasty and unique. Crabcake was a bit flat. Salmon and meatloaf were superb.
Had the brussels sprouts and a salad. Very green and good, especially the brussels sprouts. Service was a bit slow but I was there during a busy time so understandable, and they were very hospitable nonetheless.
Nice quaint restaurant within the hotel with great food. The black bean burger will really tasty
I had a lovely experience at Mrs. P’s today. When I arrived, I was met by Ken who kindly greeted me and valeted my car. It was a classy atmosphere, perfect for a slow peaceful morning. The food was ok and properly priced for the quality. I can see myself returning.
The drinks were pretty good but generally overpriced for the quality of the food/drinks and service. Pretzel bites were definitely not worth the cost and the drinks were ok but more expensive than any other drinks we had elsewhere in the area.
It's ashame I have to give Mrs. P's such a low rating. I was really excited to try this place since they started building it. It's such a cure little place. We thought it would be perfect for date nights. But alas, this is another atlanta restaurant that is more about aesthetic than actual food. All our food was bland. At $35 a plate, $18 a drink we expected better. With a quiet ambiance and regular drinks, the focus really is the food. There are just too many options in this area below this price point for us to suggest this place even for the guest in the hotel.
Inhospitable service at premium prices. Arrived for a 6:15 reservation and we were sat at 7:00. Staff seemed annoyed by our presences and disengaged to our needs. The restaurant was mostly empty but orders took way to long to come out. When I ordered a second beer they brought me the wrong order. Two different people asked if I was sure I didn't order what I was served. The only saving grace was my food. My braised rib was delicious. Too bad the food wasn't enough. If you are in the area you have dozens of better options within a 5 minute walk.
We had reservations for 12noon. Weren't seated until 12:15. Restaurant was a little busy, so it was understandable, especially being New Years Day. Our table had not been cleaned properly before we were seated and had bits of cheese on it. Food took about 40 mins to arrive with a nearly empty restaurant. One of our orders were pancakes. They were served cold, extremely thin like crepes, only 2 on the plate and cost about $16....with no sides. Once we got the check and paid, they never came to collect it. I had to stop one of the servers as they were about to end their shift. All in all, the presentation of the food was nice but the food wasn't what we were hoping for: uncut potatoes, massive omelet, thin overpriced pancakes, no coffee refills until the end of the meal, after asking. Best thing was the complimentary 2 hour valet parking from the Wylie Hotel. They were very professional and timely. Not recommending unless you have a lot patience nothing else to do with your day.
We stopped for a quick bite. Amazing hotel! The decor is great and the ambiance is unmatched. But for it to be so many staff around you would think I would've been greeted sooner when we sat at the bar. It took forever for the bartender to come and serve us. The drinks were great. The wings were crispy and fresh. We had to wait for the grill to be cleaned in order to get our bacon order. It took forever and it was regular thin breakfast bacon for $18. It could've at least been thick cut or pork belly. I was very disappointed! We wouldn't come back.
Where do I start...made a reservation on Monday of the week for a group of 15. Clearly no preparation or care was taken as two of the main dishes on their appetizer menu they did not have. And one of them they only had one order left. This is the only notice we got in advanced. First we quickly discovered that they had 1 person ( and bless her heart she did the best she could under the circumstances) she was working the bar inside the small portion outside and serving a party of 15...what an awful predicament to put this young lady in...she struggled to keep up. I never got a refill on drink and let's get to the food issues...all of which were discovered once the food arrived...you sent out steak meal that was supposed to have black garlic aoili...we had to ask just be to told...oh we are out of that sauce...and how my medium well steak was dry...you sent out burgers...asked for mayo and mustard to then only be told...we don't have any cause the burger is not sold with either mayo or mustard but what restaurant doesn't have mayo and mustard as a condiment for burgers...it gets worse two people ordered a crab cake sandwich that was supposed to be dressed with remolaude...it was dry with no sauce and then when we asked...were told they were out of that sauce. So you just sent out a dry sandwich with no sauce and thought we would not notice...now the chicken thigh gumbo...you sent it out with dry chicken breast...and once again we had to say this is not a thigh this is a breast for the server to have to then admit it was a breast...so again you thought we would not notice...and the the supposed gumbo looked and tasted like brown gravy...this was one of the most awful experiences I have had at a boutique type hotel and restaurant that is supposed to be an upscale dining experience. And even after all of these what I feel were purposeful issues...cause no way all of this stuff was not known before they just sent stuff out wrong and missing stuff...no one from the kitchen...chef...no one ever bothered to come out and apologize to our party of 15 guests. Furthermore, no Manager was on-site... not even an MOD to handle. While the family member was able to speak with the manager via phone this all was just ridiculous...oh and wait that appetizer that they only had one left...which was the spinach dip...the chips were so stale they could barely be bitten. You serve 15 people, and all but 2 dishes have issues not previously communicated you did not even care enough about your patrons' horrible experience to at least offer an apology. Now they did...after speaking to the manager via phone take some cost off but the experience was a 60th birthday and just moments we can't get back and it took away from the event cause we had to keep stopping asking for stuff or questioning things. Clearly, they need a different plan. It was just an awful experience and again just felt really bad for the young lady trying to work the bar that had about 20 people being served and having to serve our party of 15 alone...no help. Bright spot..the brussel sprouts were good. All else very disappointed cause clearly again they didn't bother to plan at all. Wish I read some of the reviews beforehand but I was not the planner and super excited to try it. I think it's interesting, though reading reviews now that they only respond to the good reviews...clearly might be part of the issue. Cause if you really want to get to right or get better, you take the critiques and misses seriously and do something to fix it. I will stick with my other truly upscale spots in Atlanta that really care about patrons choosing to have special dinners etc.
The menu looked promising when reserving a table and I thought it would be a really solid experience. My uncle and I ordered burgers that both came out cold and tasted pre-frozen, with fries that were cold. They were both $18 which is crazy. My aunt and gf bought pasta and though it was hot, it was sorta bland and my gf's bolognese was soupy. Our server was really nice and gave us free beignets, but still, the food was way overpriced. Few things missing from the bar as well even though it said full bar. Ambience was alright, but it felt like we went to Cookout with a fancy ambience.
I was pleased with the service I received. The waitress Kriss was nice and professional. The food was disappointing. I went for the small plates (based on the online menu), but the website is not updated. The dinner menu is limited. The wings were small and the beef tasted pre-frozen.
Absolutely pitiful experience. These people ruined thanksgiving for my wife and I with a pathetic meal, bad service, and a major fight when they refused to validate the parking and treated us like criminals. We paid $54 for a pathetic dinner that was nothing whatsoever like a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The thing they called a green bean casserole was just some green beans that looked like they were dragged up from a swamp, not a casserole at all. There was a single scoop of stuffing about the size of a marble. NONE of it was served hot. Please be advised to read the other reviews and stay out of this place. The photo with no customers says it all. I will say that the bartender was super kind and offered to pay for the parking because he was well aware that it should have been free, and he offered me a drink when he saw how everyone else was behaving.
I am currently at the restaurant typing this. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The service was awful. The waiter never came to our table to check on anything and because of this we had to go to the bar 3 times to get our drink orders because they were either wrong or completely missing. The food came out an 1 hr+ after sitting down and was still wrong. We had to get the help of the bartender and another waitress to even help. Typical Atlanta restaurant no decorum or true service.
I attended a birthday dinner here. The food is grossly overpriced and really subpar. The service was just okay. I had a cheeseburger that was small and sad that cost $24. The crispy Brussel Sprouts appetizer was really good - but it was also overpriced at $16. A couple of the appetizers were not available - the Parmesan Truffle Fries and the Artichoke Spinach Dip. How are you not going to have those two popular items available on a Saturday evening service?? We were told that there was only one more serving left of the artichoke spinach dip -- why??? Because it is frozen and you can't make more??? Several guests ordered the chicken thigh jumbo that was served with a dry chicken breast, not a thigh. The ambiance of the hotel was nice, but I would NOT recommend Mrs. P's Bar and Kitchen and would never eat there again.
I made a reservation for Sunday, May 26th for 1245 and showed up 10 minutes before my time. I was told to find a seat by the bartender. We sat at table for 15 minutes, but no one came over to bring water, greet us, etc. As we got up to leave, no one even bothered to say anything. The restaurant was empty, so this level of service is inexcusable. The only positive parts of this experience are the valet service...the person was amazing....and the front desk agent.
Worst service ever. They took ages to ask us for the drinks and give us menus. Once we asked the food it took almost 50 minutes to be ready. 3 hamburgers, 2 slices of salmon and 3 wings (although we asked for 5 as apetizers). The hamburger was good but cold as it had been waiting for ages for the salmon to be ready. When we asked for a second round of beers, one of the bottles had the glass broken and didn't realize. Will not come back.
I pass this restaurant everyday on my way to work and I thought it was really cute so I decided to make a reservation and go. After being seated it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get water, then it was like they forgot we had been seated. I had to find a server to take our order, once the order was taken many moments passed and as I looked around 2 other separate parties showed up( after mine) and they already had food. I spoke to a manager who finally brought the food out. My friends eggs were cold, my French toast was just warm, the bacon we order was presented like it was taken out of the grease and placed on a plate ( bacon was swimming in grease) no apologies, the server acted like we were bothering her on her job. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time I made the we attended so I don't understand why they missed the mark. After the meal going to the restroom, it need a lot of attention. The DJ was good! The food, service and manager were not.
Beware confirms reservations without room for diners in restaurant. My Party of 8 was turned away. I made a reservation for a birthday dinner 72 hours in advance on OpenTable. I received confirmation email on the day I made the reservation and a reminder confirmation text the day of. The staff informed me that dispite my reservation FOR 8 PEOPLE. I can not be accommodated because of a private event. The confirmation of my reservation was an oversight. The staff was apologetic and friendly, but could offer little to remedy the situation. First I was told I must pay a fee per person to enter the restaurant or they would cancel my reservation. They then shared that they do not know what the fee will be.. After some time I was told that my reservation is just cancelled no fee will allow me to enter. I was offered a $50 credit for another day. That did not help with my 8 guest no longer being able to dine for a birthday celebration. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication. If you have a special occasion do not reserve here. Reservations do not mean you have a table. I was turned away and never even sat down to dine.
