Wonderful place. Food and vibes were French and they were playing Patti Smith. This place has class. The staff are excellent. Handwritten birthday card was a very touching gift. Thank You! We'll be back.
Every detail was perfect 🫶 Jackson was the best server. Each staff we interacted with, went above & beyond to make us feel special on our 10th anniversary. The food as wonderful as we had heard it was! Looking forward to coming back!
Had been at a happy hour on the roof (great drinks but no nibbles) and it was gorgeous up there. Wanted to wait for traffic to quiet down, so popped into Tiny Lou’s for a quick bite. The duck fat fries and deviled eggs were fabulous!! Unique was an awesome Server! Highly recommend!
Shakira was an amazing help. The whole staff made our visit a joy and the food was a much needed decadent indulgence. The atmosphere is warm and inviting all while being swanky and cool
I loved every single minute spent dining here. The food was really amazing, the waiter, Jackson, was very nice and courteous. I had fun and I’ll definitely visit again.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! The food was divine and there’s nothing tiny about the flavor this meal delivered! Our waitress was super helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend trying it out for brunch. Food ordered: Steak & Eggs, Truffle Deviled Eggs, and Crepe Cake
The environment was so cozy yet lively. Jonathan provided exceptional service and the lobster risotto I could eat over and over again. The perfect place to dine for love day ❤️
Perfect location for a galentines/valentines brunch! Staff were absolutely lovely and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the coffee!
Tiny Lou's is this quaint Southern home-style restaurant where it is not classical fine dining yet something is special in many ways. If fine dining met a restaurant ran in a Louisiana home... or perhaps the 1920s or 1930s feel... you'd get Tina Lou's. The place is generally dark, almost like a club, but again, it is more of basement living room than a cigar bar. And you have to understand that this place is in the basement/first floor of the Hotel Clermont, which itself is a boutique hotel and a time travel to the 20s. Everything just makes sense as you walk into the building, especially from the hotel lobby. The service is spectacular. Southern comfort is felt. Professionalism is felt. The patrons are not loud. Somehow the place makes you proper and comfortable at the same time. It is an intimate space yet you are not bothered by anyone. Again, you may start imagining a scene of a movie. Now the food. I do not know what cuisine I could say this is. Google Maps says French. It is French / American / Southern, all mixed up in a progressive yet traditional way. Exactly mirroring what the decor and the hotel is going for. Cornbread - the essence of Southern cuisine - has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind madeline, glazed with hot honey and served with tabasco butter. Trust me. The actual flavor profile and mix is heavenly and ingenious. I know that a bit of spice can give cornbread a twist. They do this with the butter and glaze, not putting in some peppers inside. The salad was disingenously simpe and honest. I would've thought they'd try go for a fine dining twist but just leaves, cheese, etc laid on a plate. The only magic was that they created almost a mixed salad dressing of cranberries, pecans, etc that were all crushed up so that the flavor would be spread evenly onto the greens. Essentially, this eliminates the reason to "toss the salad". That was brilliant and worked well. The deviled eggs had vinegared pearls on top which essentially transforms the entire flavor profile. It brings in that initial jolt in your senses but gets mellowed out by the super creamy yolk mix. Again, very honest and straight forward with great ingredients, only with a simple twist. The pumpkin arancini (fried rice balls) was perhaps the most tangential. I'm sure I could get used to the taste but the cinnamon was too strong for the bland rice. Pumpkin and cinnamon go well together but something about the rice was throwing the balance off. I think I know what the chef was going for but it came together bland in a way that throws you off. Chef needs to quickly tweak this. The steak frites... No words needed her. Perfect searing, seasoning, and the foie gras butter almost comes in too strong. It's amazing but perhaps a tad bit too much. I would recommend regular butter and that itself would be heaven. Finally, had this interesting dessert called the Sweetie Pie. This was the most surprising creation and I can see the chef let themself loose here a bit with creativity. Sweet potato puree filled empanadas glazed in syrup.... served with some interesting handmade ice-cream. It was marvelous. My only ask is to make the ice-cream a bit more creamy. There are very few destinations like Tina Lou's throughout the country and throughout the world. It is not perfect. But it is special. It is something that you won't forget for a long time. It is perfect for a date. A day you want to just time travel into the past, dress up and pretend to be proper. It is welcoming, yet formal. It is honest cooking, but not without creativity. And they show it off in such a Southern way... not in your face, but a tease with eyes across the room. Make sure you enter through the hotel lobby to begin your time travel. Spend 5~10 mins there. Then walk down the pink neon stairs. If you are in ATL, Tina Lou's is a must.
We had drinks and an app at the hotel lobby bar upstairs from the main dining of Tiny Lou’s. The Carravan Bar had a fantastic bartender, a unique cocktail menu and the andouille sausage app we got from Tiny Lou’s kitchen was fantastic!
Phenomenal spot for brunch and dinner! It’s laid back during brunch and an elevated during dinner. My most recent experience was with Antoine and he was a wonderful server. Highly recommend this place.
Highly recommend. Went for my wife's birthday and they gave her a signed card and everyone was telling her happy birthday. The food was great and the service was friendly and prompt. The serving amount is large so be aware(the regular fries were enough for 3 or so people). The drinks were good too but for the price point I expected a tad better. Only negative thing I have to say is my salmon skin was not crisp(probably due to the asparagus on top of it) but that's not getting in the same of me ordering the fish again lol.
Our waitress Shakira was amazing! Great food and wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!
The service was amazing! Made the birthday celebration special. The food was great, they have a verity of options for vegetarians. I got the shishito peppers and bread service for appetizers and then mushroom risotto and salmon for entree. Everything tasted amazing and flavorful. Highly recommend.
I had dinner and brunch here and thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and they provide some excellent reccomendations (especially Jaz!) The corn fritters and spice cake were incredible and mixed flavors I’d never thought to combine. The almond croissant was so buttery and fresh and the croque was the perfect, decadent portion. Food came out quickly and the atmosphere was very cool. I would absolutely come back if I find myself in Atlanta and I recommend this spot to anyone celebrating or looking to eat something special.
Unique was amazing. Extremely attentive, had great menu knowledge and suggestions, and was very efficient. The food was amazing.
This place is very intimate and romantic! Perfect for a date night. We came for our anniversary and the hostess gave us a nice little card, and throughout our dinner we kept getting “Happy Anniversary” which was such a thoughtful touch. Our waiter was very pleasant and he added to the vibe of the whole place. Our food was incredible! I got the lobster risotto which was fresh, creamy, and had a nice citrus touch to it. My husband got the scallops which were cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. We also got the bread service and deviled eggs as an appetizer. The bread service was great! Bread was so soft and creamy with the cheese, however we didn’t love the eggs as much but the presentation was still nice. I got the red light district for my drink and it was sweet but not overly sweet, but definitely strong. For dessert we got the crepe cake and the clafoutis. They were both okay, very beautiful looking. Overall we had an amazing experience and recommend this place for any looking for a great romantic night out, you will not be disappointed!
This cute place is in the basement of the Clermont Hotel. We came here for a family brunch, and loved everything about it! The service was excellent, and the food wonderful. I mistakenly thought the portions would be small, being a French restaurant, but, they weren’t. A great place to celebrate a special event! Do check out the rooftop bar too. There’s plenty of free parking behind the hotel, and valet parking by the main entrance.
What a hidden gem! To find a bouillabaisse of this level in America is priceless ❤️! The elk and everything else were so great too.
We came to tiny Lou’s because we found it on the Michelin guide recommended and it was an amazing meal! We really enjoyed the salmon rillettes which is a really under rated item on the menu if you like salmon. Our entrees, the duck confit and chicken dish were also very good and full of flavor. Overall the menu is small but every item is done well. Ambience wise, the restaurant was very loud but we went around 8 on a Saturday night so that is somewhat expected. Server was nice and professional. Would recommend!
Dinner here was absolutely amazing! The beef tartare and duck confit were so good I would have ordered seconds. Everything we ordered, from a bottle of wine down to dessert, was exceptional. Sydni was great at offering suggestions and helping us choose our wine. I would absolutely come back here!
Was craving steak frites and decided to pop in tonight after work to check this place out. I ordered the French onion soup, zero proof Espresso martini and the steak frites with truffle fries. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and wonderfully efficient and the ambiance was romantic and moody. The restaurant gives you $15 off valet which is usually $20. I forgot that detail but I will be trying this place again soon.
Ask for Jazz, a true lover of all things culinary. So worth it. Have cocktails prior and take pictures in upstairs bar and then groove down to Tiny Lou's. The cuisine is AMAzing. Order everything. Bring your sweetheart. Order French 75 cocktail before dinner Great wine selection. Awesome dessert menu. Every little thing was attended to. So many flavors! Romantic and understated, but hip! Duck confit , beet salad, Elk chops, broccolini, the best truffle Parmesan fries ever!! Celebes cake a MUST!
Tiny Lou's is an absolute gem. Our server Jonathan was absolutely amazing!! When I come back I definitely want to have him as my server again. I recommend you ask for him if you visit. He's very kind and very hospitable. The food was fantastic as well. I had the halibut without pancheta and it was great. Tiny Lou's does a great job at accommodating each guest wants and needs.
We came for brunch and it was a hit with the whole group. I haven’t been here since 2019 and it lived up to my memory. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Ordered: Croque Madame, Eggs Benedict, schnitzel, and the sandwich. Espresso martini was great and they offer delicious mocktails as well. After brunch we went to the rooftop to check out the view and there’s a huge full bar available there.
Antoine was perfection! He was so warm and friendly. Myself, my husband, brother in law & his wife had brunch together at Tiny Lu's. The food was fantastic and delicious. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. We had such a great weekend & brunch was the best way to end the weekend. Thank you again Antoine!
Outstanding first time experience! The food was absolutely outstanding and the redfish was delicious! We'll definitely be returning! Great all around dinner !
The food was INCREDIBLE!! Everything was so much better than we could've anticipated! The chef and the bartender know what they're doing!! True craftsmen!
We went for an anniversary dinner. The food and service were amazing! We had the best server who gave us the best suggestions. Both our meals were great. I had the pork chops that were so good! But the star of the show was the deviled eggs and the French onion soup. Highly recommended this place
We celebrated our anniversary here and were wowed top to bottom. They greeted us with a cute card signed by the staff and champagne. The food was delicious and our server very attentive. On a Sunday night it was quiet and we liked the intimate, cozy feel. It's definitely in our rotation now and many more dishes we want to try! We used the $5 valet parking, which also was a breeze.
We went here as part of my birthday weekend and the service was nice. The food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. I had the gnocchi, vrussel sprouts, the bread was so frickin' good with the cultured butter! We had truffle fries, and I enjoyed the sweet potato empenadas with the ice cream. The drinks were great as well! I can't remember the rest of the meal because the drinks were so good! 😉 lol
Went for an early dinner on a Friday. Food was outstanding. Service was excellent. We were visiting from out of town and I will certainly come back next time I’m in Atlanta. Just a great all around meal from bread to apps. The gnocchi with the Burre Monte was just great. Surprisingly large portions.
Been here several times over the years. It's a fun space. Cocktails were excellent. They have a new chef. The bouillabaisse was could before we could finish it. The shrimp appetizer was a little bland. The pork chop was really good.
I was staying at the hotel for the night so since it was a Friday night, I decided to do something special. The restaurant is French along with the decor having a charming flare. I started my meal with the French Onion Soup. I love soup and will almost always try some over a salad any day. This soup was so rich in flavor and delicious. I was so surprised at how good it tasted. I also ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I kept it simple with the food but even so I was not disappointed at all. It was great. To finish the meal I had dessert call Le Salon. It was top tier good and the presentation was exceptional. Every detail of the meal was great. I will return with my family very soon.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Tiny Lou’s in ATL with a group of coworkers, and our overall experience was highly enjoyable. We had heard many positive reviews about the restaurant, and it certainly delivered on its promise of great food and a welcoming atmosphere. The highlight for most of us was the NY strip steak, which was ordered by the majority of our group. Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, the steak was exceptionally tender, juicy, and full of flavor, enhanced by a well-balanced seasoning that truly showcased the chef’s skill. The ambiance at Tiny Lou’s is both lively and comfortable, featuring charming rustic décor with modern touches that create an inviting setting. Our server was friendly, attentive, and ensured that our needs were met throughout the evening, even during a busy time. Despite the bustling environment, the service remained prompt and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. The appetizers were some of my favorites, the deviled eggs with caviar, the honey cornbread and truffle fries were so good. Additionally, while the dessert options were creative, the selection was somewhat limited. In summary, Tiny Lou’s is an excellent choice for group outings, offering outstanding food and attentive service. With a few tweaks to improve the overall dining atmosphere, it has the potential to become a top-rated destination in ATL for both locals and visitors alike. I wholeheartedly recommend Tiny Lou’s for a truly enjoyable evening.
Food was pretty good and drinks were ok, solid at best, not spectacular. Service started off pretty well and sort of tailed off toward the end. Maybe there were too many bigger tables around us and they forgot about us for a little bit. We may have spent a little more time and a little more money there as we were there for a birthday dinner. But, we enjoyed and had enough and it was on to spend money elsewhere for our evening out.
Overall it was a good experience, the burger and french onion soup were excellent. However, the scallops were definitely a miss. The corn risotto was closer to blended canned corn than risotto, and the "pancetta" was a few strips of bacon that looked like they would have been more at home on the burger. 2 of the scallops were slightly browned, the 3rd did not appear to be seared at all. Our server was very receptive to feedback, the restaurant manager was not, although she did comp the scallops which I do appreciate.
Came here with some family. Service was impeccable. The menu is very simple, but smaller portions. Food was good. Drinks were also ok - smokey old fashion lacked smokiness. The beef tartare was by far my favorite - not the typical smaller cuts of beef at other places.
The good: Food was amazing! Crab & Shrimp Louie is a fun lil sharing dish, the crab dip was delicious. Their Brioche bread was soft and tastes like it came right out of the oven. The burger was Dang good! Fun smash patties, really delicious. Little shoestring fries. Now the not so great: Drinks took forever, at least 20 minutes from order and the restaurant was not even 1/3 full. Server warned me some beers on draft weren’t cold… This was odd, so I went with canned beer, which was not too cold either. Maybe they were just having refrigeration issues that day? Food took over an hour to arrive. To top it off server brought a bill that was over 300 bucks. She just input several items twice. Took her two tries to fix it. Grateful I didn’t just hand her my card like I usually do. I’ll be back for the food but definitely going when they are empty, too much waiting :/
Bread needs more favor. Soup was fantastic. Tartare was ok Devil eggs a bit acid but ok. Pork chops were a little dry Ribs were ok Creme brulee was awesome! Service ok, you have to order everything at once. Ambiance quiet
Our server was great, and the drinks were a highlight. Our group really enjoyed the Espresso Martinis and French 75s. We were excited for brunch after hearing great things about dinner the night before, but the food fell short. “The sandwich” came on a Vietnamese-style bun instead of a baguette and was overall dry. The deviled eggs were tasty but had too much mustard, and the quiche was rubbery and tasted reheated, with a small portion for a lunch plate. The QR code payment system felt a bit distracting, encouraging phone use at the table. It’s a charming spot, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return. Definitely give it a shot it may have been an off day for our group :)
Tiny Lou’s has been on my list of restaurants to try since moving to Atlanta a few years again. Tonight, we finally dined at Tiny Lou’s and were underwhelmed. First, upon arrival there was no one at the host stand. We were one of 3 parties waiting about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and seat us. Once seated, we looked around and appreciated the design and decor of the restaurant. It’s a very nice space. Our server came to take our drink order - slightly dirty Kettle martinis- and informed us they don’t carry Kettle One, don’t have blue cheese olives and don’t have cocktail onions. Next, we ordered the little gems wedge and truffle and caviar deviled eggs. Both were fine, nothing spectacular. For mains, I attempted to order the chicken cordon bleu which they were out of. Second choice was the diver scallops. My husband ordered the pork chops. We ordered a side of pommes frites. It took quite awhile for our starters and mains to come out. We were one of only a few tables in the restaurant. When the food finally arrived the scallops were good, but overpriced for 3 medium scallops. My husband really enjoyed his pork chops. We never received the frites. Our server asked if we wanted dessert, and left dessert menus. Not 60 seconds later, she returned and put the check on the table and said “Did you want dessert?” Don’t give the check and then ask if we want dessert. Overall, it wasn’t a meal worth returning for. Many of the reviews here mention amazing food and service, which we did not have. Perhaps it was an off night, but I don’t know if I’d risk another $200 to find out.
Quite disappointed with brunch here. Ordered the croque madam, duck waffle, and a croissant with peaches and ricotta. The croque dish was literally 75% salad and a slice of the croque. The waffle wasn’t even crispy and tasted like an eggo waffle and duck was decent but nothing to rave about. The croissant was ok but didn’t stand out. The orange juice was basic and not freshly squeezed. All in all the food was mediocre at best and not worth the money. What’s awkward was we heard an older couple near us complain about their food to a staff member and they ended not having to pay for their bill. The only reason I gave this place a 2 stars is our server, Lark, who was very attentive and friendly. This place was on the Michelin guide’s list and the reason why we came here but I will not return.
Not a successful birthday dinner. It was my birthday yesterday. We decided to try out this one for its high rating. After tasting the food, I was wondering if the chef was there in the kitchen or someone else did the food for us. The devil eggs were super salty. The Beef Tarta was quite salty(good beef but bad flavor). My husband almost choked when he had the first bite of his steak with salad and fries. He throw up because something was stuck in his throat and he couldn’t breathe. But this has nothing to do with the food quality or flavor. So he didn’t eat more. We then packed the steak to go. I had the mussels which were good. My daughter had only one bite of the egg(she didn’t like it because it had horseradish and it was too salty), a few truffle flavored fries. That’s all she had at dinner. Then she had 150ml milk from Trader Joe’s which she had been drinking since 10 Jan without any problem and the expiration date is 22 Jan. She threw up 4 times in the night. This was a not successful birthday dinner. I feel so sorry for my husband and daughter. Not sure I will go back again.
We chose Tiny Lou’s to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed by the attention to detail. Since our very first anniversary, we’ve always made it a tradition to celebrate at nice restaurants. There’s usually a small but meaningful gesture something as simple as “Happy Anniversary” written on a dessert plate that makes the evening feel special and memorable. While our waiter verbally acknowledged our anniversary, that was where it ended. We were then handed the check, which made the moment feel rushed and flat. For a restaurant with Tiny Lou’s reputation, we expected a bit more thoughtfulness when it comes to celebrating a milestone occasion. For a regular dinner, this restaurant may be fine. However, if you’re celebrating a special occasion and looking for that extra touch that elevates the experience, this would not be my recommendation.
Maybe we were at different place than other reviewers? As it's a restaurant , let's start w the food, husband started with Mussels, there were maybe 8 and a huge splat of white thick cream on top, of the hundreds of times eaten I've never had them served that way and would not want again. He had fish on my recommendation as red fish so wonderful, the portion was not only super small, but flavor unimagined and ordinary. Veggies were burned yet cold. My duck confete had been waiting in liquid to be seared, which the skin was nicely crisp on some portions, but a more neglected dryer piece of duck I've never been served. Poor bird died for a lousy preparation. Our wait staff was enthusiastic I will say but lacked training. The red wine was brought out w a chilled bucket, when we asked to have it decanted it was quickly arranged and as she poured it into the decanter she made sure to shake the bottle to get "every last drop". Sadly sediment is in those last drops. I know French portions are small, but there was no consistency, we ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and they were the best thing we had all night, piping hot and delicious and large portion, who knows? Lastly, there were many open tables, 6+, and yet we were led to a bankette between two other sets of diners, so the 6 of us felt like we were sharing a meal. Not necessary when there is room for diners to enjoy conversation at their own table. So, if you like pink Formica tables, reminiscent of an ice cream parlor, crowded surroundings, mediocre food, and inexperienced wait staff this place for you. Otherwise, hard pass for us.
It actually makes me sad to write this - but after our experience yesterday it needed to be done. My husband and I came here for our anniversary two years ago and service and food was fantastic. This time it was night and day difference. We came with our two young kids. Ordered the beef tartare, it was absolutely inedible. The manager came out and said she tasted it and it wasn’t done correctly and she would have them fix it or comp it. Told her to take it off. They also recommended the turkey tenders for our little ones. They came out burnt and hard as a rock. When cut into it the casing (breading) came off like a cast. At this point my kids were tired and hungry. I just asked the waiter to box my food - decided to eat it in the hotel room upstairs. Left my husband and daughter to go put my son to sleep. My husband had not even one bite of his steak frites when the server came over and asked him if he wanted it boxed - he said yes but his plate was taken away immediately. Just all around very weird. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday - but since he was rushed out they said they would send dessert to the room for my daughter. About an hour late we received a cake with espresso in it. - mind you my daughter is 6. Not sure how that was an appropriate choice. Entire evening was just very disappointing. Also I ordered the gnocchi - which I ate cold. But it was lacking flavor. Just not impressed at all. Not sure I would ever go back. For a $200 dinner (including comped kids meals) I could’ve had a better meal for less.
Just received a message from them via OpenTable saying they’re only offering their special v-day menu for v-day and that their regular menu would not be available. Mind you they sent that message 2 weeks after I made the reservation. I kindly messaged them back and told them that their response was unprofessional because nowhere on their website, nor during the reservation, did they state that their regular menu would not be offered on v-day. I cancelled the reservation.
Worst experience ever! Went for my daughter’s birthday in October. Ordered roasted cauliflower that came out barely lukewarm. Was offered heat up or re-make. Told it would take a few minutes as 20 minutes went by! Manager came out to apologize and take off the bill but still no entree as my daughter finished hers. In that time two waiters brought food to our table that belonged to other tables! Then the valet was so screwed up that took another 15 minutes! This place needs better management and training all around.
Had a pre fix dinner and it was incredibly underwhelming. Food was bland, portions were small, presentation was pretty plane, and the desserts tasted days old and store bought. Not to mention VERY overpriced for what it was… $300 for 2 people to eat, and no alcohol. I love spending money on great food and dinner experiences, but this was a joke. Felt like a total money grab, without any care or thought put into the menu, flavors and presentation.
